对有卸货顺序约束的三维集装箱问题进行了描述.基于禁忌规则,采用了求解该问题的模拟退火算法,设计了货物的摆放规则和序列生成方式.采用3种邻域,根据邻域的不同,构造了2种禁忌表.根据问题的特点,在模拟退火算法抽样过程中加入了禁忌规则.介绍了算法的原理,给出了具有代表性算例试验结果并且进行了分析.试验结果表明,提出的混合算法对有卸货顺序约束的集装箱三维装载问题的有效性.  相似文献

Topology design of switched local area networks (SLAN) is classified as an NP-hard problem since a number of objectives, such as monetary cost, network delay, hop count between communicating pairs, and reliability need to be simultaneously optimized under a set of constraints. This paper presents a multiobjective heuristic based on a simulated annealing (SA) algorithm for topology design of SLAN. Fuzzy logic has been incorporated in the SA algorithm to handle the imprecise multiobjective nature of the SLAN topology design problem, since the logic provides a suitable mathematical framework to address the multiobjective aspects of the problem. To enhance the performance of the proposed fuzzy simulated annealing (FSA) algorithm, two variants of FSA are also proposed. These variants incorporate characteristics of tabu search (TS) and simulated evolution (SimE) algorithms. The three proposed fuzzy heuristics are mutually compared with each other. Furthermore, two fuzzy operators, namely, ordered weighted average (OWA) and unified AND–OR (UAO) are also applied in certain steps of these algorithms. Results show that in general, the variant which embeds characteristics of SimE and TS into the fuzzy SA algorithm exhibits more intelligent search of the solution subspace and was able to find better solutions than the other two variants of the fuzzy SA. Also, the OWA and UAO operators exhibited relatively similar performance.  相似文献

The capacitated clustering problem (CCP) is the problem in which a given set of weighted objects is to be partitioned into clusters so that the total weight of objects in each cluster is less than a given value (cluster ‘capacity’). The objective is to minimize the total scatter of objects from the ‘centre’ of the cluster to which they have been allocated. A simple constructive heuristic, a R-interchange generation mechanism, a hybrid simulated annealing (SA) and tabu search (TS) algorithm which has computationally desirable features using a new non-monotonic cooling schedule, are developed. A classification of the existing SA cooling schedules is presented. The effects on the final solution quality of the initial solutions, the cooling schedule parameters and the neighbourhood search strategies are investigated. Computational results on randomly generated problems with size ranging from 50 to 100 customers indicate that the hybrid SA/TS algorithm out-performs previous simulated annealing algorithms, a simple tabu search and local descent algorithms.  相似文献

This work proposes a hybrid metaheuristic (HMH) approach which integrates several features from tabu search (TS), simulated annealing (SA) and variable neighbourhood search (VNS) in a new configurable scheduling algorithm. In particular, either a deterministic or a random candidate list strategy can be used to generate the neighbourhood of a solution, both a tabu list mechanism and the SA probabilistic rule can be adopted to accept solutions, and the dimension of the explored neighbourhood can be dynamically modified. The considered class of scheduling problems is characterized by a set of independent jobs to be executed on a set of parallel machines with non-zero ready times and sequence dependent setups. In particular, the NP-hard generalized parallel machine total tardiness problem (GPMTP) recently defined by Bilge et al. [A tabu search algorithm for parallel machine total tardiness problem. Computers & Operations Research 2004;31:397–414], is faced. Several alternative configurations of the HMH have been tested on the same benchmark set used by Bilge et al. The results obtained highlight the appropriateness of the proposed approach.  相似文献

受电缆线坑位置与缆线长度的限制,岸桥作业只能在一定的横向移动范围之内。考虑到这一现实要求,结合岸桥作业禁止跨越与安全距离等特有约束,以最小化装卸作业的makespan为目标,构建了新的岸桥作业调度混合整数规划模型。针对问题的NP-hard特性,设计了一种混合模拟退火算法,运用启发式算法生成质量较高的初始解,结合遗传算法的变异运算生成邻域新解,增强了解的多样性,引入禁忌搜索算法的禁忌表操作,避免了循环搜索,提高了求解效率。大规模实验结果表明所建立的模型是有效的,算法的求解质量与效率明显优于标准模拟退火算法与禁忌搜索算法。当实验规模逐渐增大时,与LINGO软件相比,算法在求解效率方面的优势越来越明显。  相似文献

The job shop scheduling problem (JSP) is one of the most notoriously intractable NP-complete optimization problems. Over the last 10–15 years, tabu search (TS) has emerged as an effective algorithmic approach for the JSP. However, the quality of solutions found by tabu search approach depends on the initial solution. To overcome this problem and provide a robust and efficient methodology for the JSP, the heuristics search approach combining simulated annealing (SA) and TS strategy is developed. The main principle of this approach is that SA is used to find the elite solutions inside big valley (BV) so that TS can re-intensify search from the promising solutions. This hybrid algorithm is tested on the standard benchmark sets and compared with the other approaches. The computational results show that the proposed algorithm could obtain the high-quality solutions within reasonable computing times. For example, 17 new upper bounds among the unsolved problems are found in a short time.  相似文献

In this study, we consider the application of a simulated annealing (SA) heuristic to the truck and trailer routing problem (TTRP), a variant of the vehicle routing problem (VRP). In the TTRP, some customers can be serviced by either a complete vehicle (that is, a truck pulling a trailer) or a single truck, while others can only be serviced by a single truck for various reasons. SA has seen widespread applications to various combinatorial optimization problems, including the VRP. However, to our best knowledge, it has not been applied to the TTRP. So far, all the best known results for benchmark TTRP instances were obtained using tabu search (TS). We applied SA to the TTRP and obtained 17 best solutions to the 21 benchmark TTRP benchmark problems, including 11 new best solutions. Moreover, the computational time required by the proposed SA heuristic is less than those reported in prior studies. The results suggest that SA is competitive with TS on solving the TTRP.  相似文献

The timetabling problem consists in scheduling a sequence of lectures between teachers and students in a prefixed period of time (typically a week), satisfying a set of constraints of various types. A large number of variants of the timetabling problem have been proposed in the literature, which differ from each other based on the type of institution involved (university or school) and the type of constraints. This problem, that has been traditionally considered in the operational research field, has recently been tackled with techniques belonging also to Artificial Intelligence (e.g., genetic algorithms, tabu search, and constraint satisfaction). In this paper, we survey the various formulations of the problem, and the techniques and algorithms used for its solution.  相似文献

In this paper, we develop an extended guided tabu search (EGTS) and a new heuristic packing algorithm for the two-dimensional loading vehicle routing problem (2L-CVRP). The 2L-CVRP is a combination of two well-known NP-hard problems, the capacitated vehicle routing problem, and the two-dimensional bin packing problem. It is very difficult to get a good performance solution in practice for these problems. We propose a meta-heuristic methodology EGTS which incorporates theories of tabu search and extended guided local search (EGLS). It has been proved that tabu search is a very good approach for the CVRP, and the guiding mechanism of the EGLS can help tabu search to escape effectively from local optimum. Furthermore, we have modified a collection of packing heuristics by adding a new packing heuristic to solve the loading constraints in 2L-CVRP, in order to improve the cost function significantly. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is tested, and proven by extensive computational experiments on benchmark instances.  相似文献

In this paper, an Adaptive Hierarchical Ant Colony Optimization (AHACO) has been proposed to resolve the traditional machine loading problem in Flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMS). Machine loading is one of the most important issues that is interlinked with the efficiency and utilization of FMS. The machine loading problem is formulated in order to minimize the system unbalance and maximize the throughput, considering the job sequencing, optional machines and technological constraints. The performance of proposed AHACO has been tested over a number of benchmark problems taken from the literature. Computational results indicate that the proposed algorithm is more effective and produces promising results as compared to the existing solution methodologies in the literature. The evaluation and comparison of system efficiency and system utilization justifies the supremacy of the algorithm. Further, results obtained from the proposed algorithm have been compared with well known random search algorithm viz. genetic algorithm, simulated annealing, artificial Immune system, simple ant colony optimization, tabu search etc. In addition, the algorithm has been tested over a randomly generated problem set of varying complexities; the results validate the robustness and scalability of the algorithm utilizing the concepts of ‘heuristic gap’ and ANOVA analysis.  相似文献

Hardware/software (HW/SW) partitioning is a crucial step in HW/SW codesign that determines which components of the system are implemented on hardware and which ones on software. It has been proved that the HW/SW partitioning problem is NP-hard. In this paper, we present two approaches for HW/SW partitioning that aims to minimize the hardware cost while taking into account software and communication constraints. The first is a heuristic approach that treats the HW/SW partitioning problem as an extended 0–1 knapsack problem. In the second approach, tabu search is used to further improve the solution obtained from the proposed heuristic algorithm. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithms outperform a recently reported work by up to 28 %.  相似文献

Improper assignment of gates may result in flight delays, inefficient use of the resource, customer’s dissatisfaction. A typical metropolitan airport handles hundreds of flights a day. Solving the gate assignment problem (GAP) to optimality is often impractical. Meta-heuristics have recently been proposed to generate good solutions within a reasonable timeframe. In this work, we attempt to assess the performance of three meta-heuristics, namely, genetic algorithm (GA), tabu search (TS), simulated annealing (SA) and a hybrid approach based on SA and TS. Flight data from Incheon International Airport are collected to carry out the computational comparison. Although the literature has documented these algorithms, this work may be a first attempt to evaluate their performance using a set of realistic flight data.  相似文献

European firms have been using a combination of trucks and trailers in the delivery/collection of food products for years. Thus, some previous studies had been devoted to improving the efficiency of the resulting truck and trailer routing problem (TTRP). Since time window constraints are present in many real-world routing applications, in this study, we introduce the truck and trailer routing problem with time windows (TTRPTW) to bring the TTRP model closer to the reality. A simulated annealing (SA) heuristic is proposed for solving the TTRPTW. Two computational experiments are conducted to test the performance of the proposed SA heuristic. The results indicate that the proposed SA heuristic is capable of consistently producing quality solutions to the TTRPTW within a reasonable time.  相似文献

Production planning of a flexible manufacturing system (FMS) is plagued by two interrelated problems, namely 1) part-type selection and 2) operation allocation on machines. The combination of these problems is termed a machine loading problem, which is treated as a strongly NP-hard problem. In this paper, the machine loading problem has been modeled by taking into account objective functions and several constraints related to the flexibility of machines, availability of machining time, tool slots, etc. Minimization of system unbalance (SU), maximization of system throughput (TH), and the combination of SU and TH are the three objectives of this paper, whereas two main constraints to be satisfied are related to time and tool slots available on machines. Solutions for such problems even for a moderate number of part types and machines are marked by excessive computational complexities and thus entail the application of some random search optimization techniques to resolve the same. In this paper, a new algorithm termed as constraints-based fast simulated annealing (SA) is proposed to address a well-known machine loading problem available in the literature. The proposed algorithm enjoys the merits of simple SA and simple genetic algorithm and is designed to be free from some of their drawbacks. The enticing feature of the algorithm is that it provides more opportunity to escape from the local minimum. The application of the algorithm is tested on standard data sets, and superiority of the same is witnessed. Intensive experimentations were carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, and the efficacy of the same is authenticated by efficiently testing the performance of algorithm over well-known functions  相似文献

The resource-constrained project scheduling problem (RCPSP) is an NP-hard optimization problem. RCPSP is one of the most important and challenging problems in the project management field. In the past few years, many researches have been proposed for solving the RCPSP. The objective of this problem is to schedule the activities under limited resources so that the project makespan is minimized. This paper proposes a new algorithm for solving RCPSP that combines the concepts of negative selection mechanism of the biologic immune system, simulated annealing algorithm (SA), tabu search algorithm (TS) and genetic algorithm (GA) together. The performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated and compared to current state-of-the-art metaheuristic algorithms. In this study, the benchmark data sets used in testing the performance of the proposed algorithm are obtained from the project scheduling problem library. The performance is measured in terms of the average percentage deviation from the critical path lower bound. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the state-of-the-art metaheuristic algorithms on all standard benchmark data sets.  相似文献

在深入分析普通高校排课的流程、特点和难点的基础上,提出一个基于贪心法和禁忌搜索的排课算法。算法采用基于优先级的贪心法构造排课的初始解,进而利用禁忌搜索获得全局较优的排课结果。设计中充分考虑了当前高校课表问题的实际情况,如课程性质对排课的要求、教师的特殊要求等。实现的原型系统同时支持自动排课和交互式排课,对于一些难度较大的问题,可以通过人机交互方式来解决。通过对高校的实际排课数据进行测试,结果表明该算法可行且能够有效地提高排课效率。  相似文献

The university timetabling problem (UTP) has been studied by numerous research groups for decades. In addition to addressing hard and soft constraints, we extend the UTP by considering consecutiveness and periodicity constraints of multi-session lectures, which are common in many eastern Asian universities. Because schedulers can decide the consecutiveness and periodicity constraints for the multi-session lectures within a limited ratio, we consider these novel decision variables in our model. We develop a mixed integer linear program for the UTP. For the analysis, we convert the UTP into the three-dimensional container packing problem (3DCPP) and create a hybrid genetic algorithm (HGA), which has been shown to be efficient in solving the 3DCPP. We also develop a tabu search algorithm based on the existing UTP literature and compare the findings with that of our HGA. The results show that our HGA obtains a better solution than the tabu search algorithm in a reasonable amount of time.  相似文献

酸轧生产调度的主要任务是在满足酸轧机组生产工艺和能力约束下, 考虑下游机组的流向需求,为保证生产连续性和平滑过渡的要求,从给定候选池中选择适合的板卷构成一个酸轧调度单元. 针对此问题, 本文建立了以最小化过渡费用和调度单元剩余容量惩罚费用为目标的整数规划模型, 提出了一种嵌入强化Dynasearch算法的禁忌搜索混合算法. 该混合算法采用基于最小插入法的两阶段启发式产生初始解, 根据采用邻域结构的不同设计双禁忌表, 为了避免算法陷入局部最优, 在禁忌搜索的每次迭代过程中嵌入Swap邻域和Inner-insert邻域相结合的多交换Dynasearch邻域, 并设计了多项式动态规划算法搜索该邻域. 针对问题的特征, 提出了Block分区结构, 基于此分析了多个可行解性质, 有效降低了搜索空间. 与一般禁忌搜索算法比较, 结果表明所提出的强化Dynsearch TS (Tabu search)算法求解效果明显优于一般TS算法, 平均改进量为3.62%, 算法运行时间大大缩短. 验证了该算法在解决此类问题的有效性.  相似文献

The capacitated p-median problem (CPMP) seeks to obtain the optimal location of p medians considering distances and capacities for the services to be given by each median. This paper presents an efficient hybrid metaheuristic algorithm by combining a proposed cutting-plane neighborhood structure and a tabu search metaheuristic for the CPMP. In the proposed neighborhood structure to move from the current solution to a neighbor solution, an open median is selected and closed. Then, a linear programming (LP) model is generated by relaxing binary constraints and adding new constraints. The generated LP solution is improved using cutting-plane inequalities. The solution of this strong LP is considered as a new neighbor solution. In order to select an open median to be closed, several strategies are proposed. The neighborhood structure is combined with a tabu search algorithm in the proposed approach. The parameters of the proposed hybrid algorithm are tuned using design of experiments approach. The proposed algorithm is tested on several sets of benchmark instances. The statistical analysis shows efficiency and effectiveness of the hybrid algorithm in comparison with the best approach found in the literature.  相似文献
