This paper introduces a method of shaping impulse radio Ultra Wideband (UWB) pulses in the context of using higher than normal power transmissions and cognitive radio to provide the ability for such systems to avoid interference with primary users in shared radio spectrum. Using multiple shaping frequencies and a standard Gaussian pulse shape, pulses are shaped in the time domain, according to the requirements of the frequency spectrum in use, and any limits on power spectral density. Simulation results are presented for an example scenario based on measured data, along with a more general approach applicable to a free spectrum scenario. We show that the introduced shaping technique ensures that up to 98.8% of capacity of the UWB bandwidth within the conventional spectrum mask can be achieved for a time scaling factor of 11 ns and shaping frequency of 30 MHz. Capacity well in excess of the 100% achievable with the spectral mask is possible when the transmit power is permitted to increase in areas of ‘white space’ spectrum.  相似文献

Cloud storage is a cloud based service which delivers scalable on demand on line storage of data and eliminates the need of maintaining local data centre. Storage of data in cloud brings many advantages such as lower-cost, metered service, scalable and ubiquitous access. However, it also raises concerns to its integrity; to save the storage space cloud service provider may delete some rarely access data. Data privacy is another issue which must be addressed to increase data owner’s trust. To address above issues, many researchers have proposed public auditing schemes to validate the integrity of data using third party auditor. These schemes generate metadata using data files on the owner side and store these metadata on the cloud storage along with the file data, which helps in auditing. These schemes address many concerns which arise due to remote data storage. However, computation cost involved for metadata generation at the data owner side is not properly addressed; another issue which is not properly addressed is an iniquitous third party auditor may be the source of denial of service attack by issuing constantly large number of audit request. Our scheme solves these issues by lowering the computation cost at data owner side and controlling the number of times a third party auditor can issue an audit request to the cloud storage. Our Scheme also supports secure access of data using conditional proxy re-encryption scheme and delegation of auditing task by the authorized third party auditor to another auditor for the specified period of times in the case of unavailability of authorized third party auditor.

In this paper, we present an analytical model to quantify the effect of the Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) transmitters on the CDMA-PCS downlink range and normalized capacity. The effect is given for different configuration and environments. Our analysis shows that, for a single UWB transmitter, an UWB power density of −78dBm/MHz is the maximum permitted power density to have only PCS macrocell capacity reduction of 1% when the distance between the PCS mobile and the UWB transmitter is 1 m. For the multiple UWB transmitters case, a power density of −80dBm/MHz, is the maximum permitted power density to have only PCS macrocell capacity reduction of 1% when the distance between the PCS mobile and the UWB transmitter is 1 m.  相似文献

电调谐预选滤波器是宽带接收机的关键部件,直接影响到整机性能的好坏。设计了一种采用梳状滤波结构的电调滤波器,工作频段为200~600MHz,整个调谐范围内,1d B带宽约为12%,插入损耗小于3d B,输入二阶截点值大于60d Bm,输入三阶截点值大于20d Bm,输入输出端口驻波比小于1.8,测试和仿真结果吻合良好。该滤波器结构简单、体积小、工艺上易实现,还具有超宽倍频程的调谐范围及低插损、高截点值等优良电性能。  相似文献

提出了一种小型超宽带(UWB)平面天线阵列并进行了优化.首先设计了两个不同的UWB天线单元方案:印刷天线-Vivaldi天线、平板天线-平面螺旋天线,并通过对比选择螺旋天线单元作为组阵单元.对该天线阵列的回波损耗、3D辐射图、方向图进行了仿真计算和设计.结果该天线阵列在6 ~ 10GHz内具有较好的定向辐射特性,增益达到15dB.进一步优化单元空间分布结构,使天线在相应频段内具有更佳的方向性.通过调整各个馈源的相位差,在不失去增益的同时,可以控制波束的偏转.  相似文献

在圆形单极天线的基础上进行改进设计了一款梯形接地板结构的超宽带单极天线。根据接地板电流的分布强弱,削去矩形接地板两端对电流影响较小的三角形形状部分,构成梯形接地板。经过仿真优化实验结果表明,该天线电压驻波比VSWR2的阻抗带宽为3.1~17 GHz,工作频段内具有全向辐射特性,且天线只有20 mm×22 mm×1.6 mm,结构简单,适合超宽带无线通信系统的要求。  相似文献

基于时域有限差分法中的阶梯近似方法,分析了超宽带TEM喇叭天线辐射场的时域波形.为了改善宽带TEM喇叭天线拖尾效应,文中利用集总元件的时域有限差分法,详细分析了不同阻抗加载条件下TEM喇叭天线辐射场的时域波形.计算机模拟结果表明,加载吸收电阻可以有效地解决TEM喇叭天线由于低频反射引起的拖尾振荡,改善辐射电场的波形特性.  相似文献

设计了一种十字交叉耦合型结构的左手材料,左手材料构成的超宽带陷波滤波器通带范围为3.16~11.84GHz,陷波范围为7.01~8.56GHz。针对现有平面天线设计难、体积大和滤波性能低等问题,将左手材料的滤波器加载于两款结构简单、易于加工的平面天线上,构成基于左手材料的超宽带滤波天线。相比于现有平面天线,该滤波天线同时具有辐射和滤波功能。经HFSS软件仿真和计算得出该滤波天线工作在超宽带范围内,X波段陷波处回波损耗可达-1.30dB,实现了超宽带天线集成化、小型化的设计。  相似文献

In the framework of wireless access networks the Hot-Spot concept is attracting several operators. In a Hot-Spot near stationary terminals may reach one or more Radio Access Points (RAP) offering wireless access to the fixed network. Mobile terminals should be able to register to the network, associate to a RAP and activate a wireless communication supporting given bit rates and Quality of Service (QoS) features. Several mobile users, requiring different services, enter and exit the Hot-Spot. In this scenario network operators should have the opportunity to configure quickly radio resources to serve the mobile terminals and to handle efficiently the network resources in order to maximize the income. Among the different technologies emerging in this field, we investigate the feasibility of a wireless access based on Ultra Wide Band (UWB) radio, combined with a flexible admission control scheme based on transmission power selection. We employ UWB in unlicensed mode, i.e., we operate in accordance to the limits imposed by the regulatory bodies (e.g., US Federal Communications Commission). The flexibility of the admission control depends mainly on the capability of a mobile terminal of “measuring” the environment it is entering and thus supporting the RAP in the selection of the appropriate transmission parameters. The proposed approach provides an admission policy based on the Maximum Extra Interference (MEI) and selects the power level through a simple interaction among the involved mobile terminals. The information for basing the decision on is collected through measurements and signaling. In order to increase the system efficiency, transmission parameters are selected in accordance to a “balancing” criterion (thus Balanced-MEI, B-MEI). The B-MEI approach keeps quite simple the admission of new mobile terminals in a RAP’s area but contemporarily satisfies the trade-off between fair resource assignment and system efficiency. This is a key trade-off in wireless access systems where interference effects determine the upper limit of the number of users that can be admitted in the network.Francesca Cuomo received her “Laurea” degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 1993, magna cum laude, from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Italy. She earned the Ph.D. degree in Information and Communications Engineering in 1998, also from the University of Rome “La Sapienza.” Since 1996 she is an Assistant Professor at the INFOCOM Department of this University. Her main research interests focus on broadband integrated networks, Intelligent Networks, architectures and protocol for wireless networks, mobile and personal communications, Quality of Service guarantees and real time service support in the wired and wireless Internet.She participated in: (I) the European ACTS INSIGNIA project dedicated to the definition of an Integrated IN and B-ISDN network; (III) IST WHYLESS.COM project focusing on adoption of the Ultra Wide Band radio technology for the definition of an Open Mobile Access Network; (III) RAMON project, funded by the Italian Public Education Ministry, focused on the definition of a reconfigurable access module for mobile computing applications. She is now participating to the European IST ePerSpace Project focusing on the support of personalized audio/video services at home and everywhere. She is also involved in FIRB project VIRTUAL IMMERSIVE COMMUNICATIONS (VICOM) where she is responsible of the research activities on the BAN and PAN networks.Dr. Cuomo is in the editorial board of the Elsevier Computer Networks journal and she has served on technical program committees and reviewer in several international conferences and journals including ACM Wireless Mobile Internet Workshop, IEEE ICC and GLOBECOM, IEEE Trans. on Wireless Communications and IEEE Journal on Selected Areas on Communications.Cristina Martello received her Laurea degree in Electronic Engineering (magna cum laude) in July 2000 from Università di Roma “La Sapienza”. She earned the PhD degree in Information and Communications Engineering in February 2004 (Università di Roma “La Sapienza”).Since January 2001 she has been working in the IST European HYPERLINK “/” “_blank” Whyless.com project on an open mobile access network based on the Ultra Wide Band radio technology. She collaborated with HYPERLINK “http://www.coritel.it/” “_blank” Co.Ri.Tel.
