A magnetized plasma column is found to be a notch absorber of microwave radiation propagating in the extraordinary mode. Based on this fact, a compact tunable microwave filter is designed and tested successfully. The center frequency of the absorbed band can be varied by adjusting the background magnetic field stength. The 3dB bandwidth and amount of attenuation are functions of the plasma current. These characteristics offer a great tunability, often sought after in microwave devices. This filter can find applications in microwave measurement systems where filtering of unwanted harmonics and spurious signals can directly affect the accuracy and resolution of the measurements. 相似文献

为了在THz波段获得TE波下的可调谐吸收频谱, 采用全波仿真的方法, 设计了一款基于二氧化钒材料的可调谐THz吸波器, 对该吸波器的吸收频谱、电场图、表面电流图以及能量损耗图进行分析, 并讨论了结构参量h4, k以及入射角度θ对吸收频域和吸收带宽的影响。结果表明, 通过外部温控的方式改变二氧化钒谐振单元的物理特性可以获得可调谐的吸收频谱并改善吸波器的吸收性能, 该吸波器在温度T≥68℃时, 可以实现在2.70THz~3.36THz频段的宽带吸收(吸收率在90%以上), 相对带宽达到21.8%;在T<68℃时, 可以实现多个单频点的吸收; 改变结构参量h4, k可以改变吸收频点的位置以及吸收带宽, 改变入射角度θ可以影响吸波器的吸收效果。该研究对可调谐太赫兹器件的进一步探究是有帮助的。 相似文献

A three-layer frequency selective surface (FSS) tunable absorbing filter is presented. Tunability is achieved through the use, in every FSS layer, of commercially available, low-cost, surface-mount, radio-frequency, varactor diodes. The absorber is experimentally tested in a waveguide over the 1.8-2.4 GHz frequency band. It has the potential to form the basis of a smart microwave absorber. 相似文献

An experimental single-layer active microwave absorber in described. The absorber is a planar structure based upon the topology of a Salisbury screen, but in which the conventional resistive layer is replaced by an active frequency selective surface (FSS) controlled by pin diodes. The resulting structure has superior reflectivity-bandwidth characteristics compared to conventional passive absorbers of corresponding thickness. Measured data are presented and show that the reflectivity response of the absorber can be controlled over the frequency band from 9 to 13 GHz. 相似文献

A thermally tunable terahertz metamaterial absorber (MA) with InSb embedded in a metal-dielectric-metal structure is proposed. The transmission and tuning properties of the proposed metamaterial absorber are analyzed for the temperature ranging from 160 K to 350 K. The simulated results show that the maximum absorption of the absorber is nearly 99.8% at a full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) of 38 GHz, and the absorption frequency can be dynamically tuned from 0.82 THz to 1.02 THz. 相似文献

This paper introduces a new method to tune microwave circuits of phase shifters, filters, resonators, and oscillators, controlled by a piezoelectric transducer (PET) with computational and experimental results. An optimized PET-controlled phase shifter is demonstrated to operate up to 40 GHz with a maximum total loss of 4 dB and phase shift of 480°. PET-controlled tunable bandpass filter, ring resonator, and one-dimensional photonic-bandgap resonator show a very wide tuning bandwidth of 17.5%-28.5% near 10 GHz with little performance degradation. A new PET-controlled or voltage-controlled dielectric-resonator oscillator (DRO) is demonstrated with a tuning bandwidth of 3.7% at the center frequency of 11.78 GHz. The tuning bandwidth is slightly less than that of a mechanical tuning using a micrometer-head-controlled tunable DRO with a tuning bandwidth of 4.7%. 设计了一种多频带可调谐的太赫兹超材料吸收器。在超材料吸收器的结构中,引入光敏半导体硅材料,设计特殊的顶层金属谐振器,分析开口长度、线宽、介质层厚度等参数尺寸对太赫兹超材料吸收器的吸收光谱特性影响。根据光照与光敏半导体硅电导率之间的关系,研究太赫兹超材料吸收器的频率调谐特性。仿真结果得到太赫兹波段的12个吸收频率调制,其中有10处吸收峰的吸收率超过90%近完美吸收,且有6处吸收率达到99%的完美吸收,而且吸收率调制深度和相对带宽分别达到85.9 %和85.5%,具有很强的可调谐特性。设计的光激励太赫兹超材料吸收器结构简单,具有多频带可调谐和完美吸收特性,扩大了吸收器的应用范围。 相似文献

We report on further experimental studies of the ac field response of transient and permanent gratings written with visible light in both planar and homeotropic, dye-doped liquid crystal cells. It is found that the diffraction efficiency of these gratings can be controlled by the applied ac field. High ac frequencies can switch off diffraction completely in both permanent and transient gratings. The response time to the applied electric field is shown to be in the range of milliseconds. Permanent gratings persist for months and, when heated above the liquid crystal phase transition temperature, they can be only partially erased. Furthermore, on cooling the diffraction efficiency can be restored, indicating a strong anchoring at the boundaries of the cell 相似文献

设计了一种基于光敏材料硅(Si)的宽频带极化不敏感的光驱动可调谐太赫兹超材料吸波器(metamaterial ab-sorber,简称MMA).该可调谐太赫兹MMA基本单元结构由嵌入光敏硅的紧凑开缝环谐振器结构、中间介质隔离层与金属底板构成.硅的电导率随着入射光的强度而发生改变,从而使太赫兹MMA工作频率和吸波性能得到有效的调节.数值计算结果表明:当硅电导率在1. 0×10~3S/m到5. 0×10~5S/m范围内动态调节时,该MMA吸波特性在0. 442 THz到0. 852 THz范围内动态调节.另外,其相对调节带宽达到63. 37%,吸收率调制深度达到60. 22%.进一步的数值计算结果表明我们所设计的MMA具备极化不敏感和宽入射角的特性. 相似文献

A fiber-optic finite impulse response filter with continuously tunable unit time delays is developed and studied. The filter consists of eight taps with progressively longer segments of high-dispersion fiber, but completed with dispersion-shifted fiber to nominally identical overall lengths. The time delays through each tap are tuned by varying the wavelength of the optical carrier. The constructed 8-tap filter exhibits bandpass characteristics with a Q of 30. The bandpass band is continuously tuned over a full octave from under 9 GHz to over 18 GHz with a single low-voltage control signal that demonstrates the technique's applicability to adaptive systems 相似文献

New analysis methods are described which use the non-destructive field-effect liquid-crystal display (LCD) technique to produce a static optical display of circuit node logic levels associated with selectable digital states of an operating integrated circuit (IC). One method employs special control of the device under test (DUT) and another uses a synchronous, externally applied electric field to produce either a two-state comparison display or a single-state display. The DUT is operated in a repeating test cycle consisting of a sequence of states for both techniques. A novel realization of a wideband tunable optoelectronic oscillator (OEO) based on dual-port electrode Mach–Zehnder modulator (DMZM), a tunable microwave attenuator (TMA), and a chirped fiber Bragg grating (CFBG) is proposed and demonstrated. By simply adjusting the power ratio between the two arms of DMZM, the chirp of the DMZM will be tuned, and the center frequency of the microwave photonic filter will be tuned. When the OEO loop in the proposed system is closed, the output frequency of OEO is determined by the microwave photonic filter, and a high spectral purity microwave signal with a tunable frequency from 5.8 to 11 GHz is generated. The single sideband (SSB) phase noise of the generated signal could reach −107.4 dBc/Hz at an offset frequency of 10 kHz. 相似文献
