数控刀具材料及其热处理

近年来，切削刀具从传统的标准高速钢刀具发展到有相当一批企业进入，以硬质合金为主的现代“高精度、高效率、高可靠性和专用化”的刀具生产领域，但与国产机床数控化步伐相比，数控刀具不论在量的方面还是质的方面，都差之甚远，说“刀具拖了机床的后腿”一点也不过份。     

Nutrition education in schools]

PURPOSE: School interventions aimed at developing nutrition knowledge are among the avenues to be considered to improve young Canadians' food habits. From a new toolkit targeting elementary school children in first and second grade, the report presents attitudes and behaviours of teachers having received and used the material. METHODS: A total of 504 primary schools located in Quebec were solicited to participate in the study. A total of 214 teachers (42.5%) answered a self-administered questionnaire; 149 received the material and 63 used it. RESULTS: Most of the respondents believed that schools should allocate more time for nutrition education. Those who have used the material identified the most popular themes as well as new themes to be developed. Limitations to the use of the material in class were related to lack of time. CONCLUSIONS: Results support a clear interest from teachers toward transmitting nutrition information at school and the necessity to consider schools' specific constraints and needs to benefit from these education efforts.

Rational nutrition for the pupils of choreography schools

The authors provide data obtained in the course of studying energy expenditures in choreographic students of the city of Perm depending on age and sex. Present scientifically validated food and energy requirements with regard to which approximate daily sets of foods and weekly diets for different age groups with regard to sex have been developed. It has been established that these diets tried during school year at the Perm choreographic college exert a beneficial effect on the students.

The right place for the right job in the photovoltaic life cycle

The potential for photovoltaic power generation (PV) to reduce primary energy consumption (PEC) and CO(2) emissions depends on the physical locations of each stage of its life cycle. When stages are optimally located, CO(2) emissions are reduced nearly ten times as much as when each stage is located in the country having the largest current market share. The usage stage contributes the most to reducing CO(2) emissions and PEC, and total CO(2) emissions actually increase when PV is installed in countries having small CO(2) emissions from electricity generation. Global maps of CO(2) reduction potential indicate that Botswana and Gobi in Mongolia are the optimal locations to install PV due to favorable conditions for PV power generation and high CO(2) emissions from current electricity generation. However, the small electricity demand in those countries limits the contribution to global CO(2) reduction. The type of PVs has a small but significant effect on life cycle PEC and CO(2) emissions.     

The use of place and geography to market wine in Oklahoma

The use of place and geography in wine marketing is well documented. Oklahoma, a state not often associated with producing wine, contains many wineries that use place to market their products. These wine producers construct specific and generic place-based identities that appeal to local and non-local wine consumers. In this study, we take an in-depth look at exactly how Oklahoma wineries use place and geography to market their products. We employ qualitative content analysis to evaluate the websites of 39 Oklahoma wineries, specifically focusing on graphics and text on wine labels and winery logos. Our analysis reveals the predominant themes presented on labels and logos that clearly connect the wine and/or winery to its location. Examples include noticeable links to Oklahoma historic events (e.g. Land Runs, boomer and sooner references), Native American culture, and local natural hazards (severe weather, especially tornadoes) to name a few. Importantly, the geographic scale at which most place associations occur is at the state-level. Rather than constructing more localized regional identities (e.g. based on region, which is very common), these wineries have cultivated a decidedly Oklahoman sense of place.
