A microstrip interlocked-coupled bandpass filter is proposed with a markedly compact structure. The low-impedance open-end line of the quarter-wavelength Stepped-Impedance Resonator (SIR) is replaced by two open-end high-impedance lines, which not only facilitate the coupling mechanism but also provide the strong electric coupling between resonators. With the proper utilization of folded SIRs, the occupied area of coupled-resonator pair can be reduced. By applying the proposed coupled-resonator pair, the passband filter with the compact size can be realized. Good agreement between measured and simulated results is observed. The proposed filter is desirable for compact and high-performance microwave circuit applications.  相似文献

A compact dual-band bandstop filter composed of main transmission line and four folded resonators is presented. Through analyzing the structure of folded resonator, it is found that the main transmission line connected with two proposed folded resonators exhibits the characteristic of band-rejection. Simulated results show that the center frequency of stopband is 2.72 GHz. Then, through adding another pair of folded resonator; a compact dual-band bandstop filter is achieved. Simulated results demonstrate that transmission poles are induced to have better selectivity. Additionally, in order to explain the mechanism of proposed structure, the LC equivalent circuit, analysis of parametric effect and surface current distributions are given. Due to the folded structure, the filter dimensions are reduced and the adjustable stopband is another feature. By virtue of optimization, proposed structure is fabricated. Measured results agree well with the simulation.  相似文献

We report a new tri-section stepped-impedance resonator (SIR) that features a short and low-impedance section inserted in a two-section SIR. The inserted section not only makes the resonator more compact, but also enables the flexibility of introducing cross coupling in a filter configuration. Using the tri-section SIR, a cascaded triplet bandpass filter is demonstrated, featuring sharp roll-off at the high edge of the passband.  相似文献

将具有阻带特性的微带马刺线结构引入到带状线中,设计了一款中心频率为2.32 GHz,相对带宽为9.5%,阻带衰减为50 dB的三阶马刺线式带阻滤波器。相比于传统的并联开路短截线型带阻滤波器,马刺线式带阻滤波器的横向尺寸大为减小,结构更加紧凑。采用SIR(stepped-impedance resonator)结构,按相同指标设计了一款三阶SIR马刺线式带阻滤波器。与马刺线式带阻滤波器相比,SIR马刺线式带阻滤波器结构更为紧凑,纵向尺寸缩小约17%,并具有更好的谐波抑制特性。  相似文献

This paper proposes a new class of slow-wave bandpass filters that uses a microstrip line periodically loaded with microstrip ring or stepped-impedance hairpin resonators. The new slow-wave periodic structures utilize the parallel and series resonance characteristics of the resonators to construct a bandpass filter. Unlike conventional slow-wave filters, the proposed bandpass filters are designed to produce a narrow passband at the fundamental mode of the resonators. The new filters provide lower insertion loss than that of parallel- or cross-coupled ring and stepped-impedance hairpin bandpass filters. The practical realization in gyrator-C form of a seventh-order Cauer-parameter low-pass filter with 40-dB stopband attenuation is described. The three floating coils of the equivalent LC filter were replaced by capacitor-loaded semi-floating gyrators. The gyrators were realized in hybrid form using thick-film resistors. The performance of the filter over a temperature range from -40/spl deg/ to +61/spl deg/C was very satisfactory, without any attempt at temperature compensation being made. This, together with the wider allowable element tolerances (compared with other active RC filter methods) shows the inherent suitability of gyrator-C filters for integration. Also in this paper some of the special problems and characteristics of gyrator-C filters are theoretically discussed, in particular the realization of gyrators with floating ports, gyrator Q-enhancement, and component tolerances in gyrator-C filters.  相似文献

Using standard low-temperature co-fired ceramic technology, a novel fourth-order cross-coupled circular cavity filter is proposed, where multilayer substrate integrated waveguides are implemented. In particular, one slot is introduced on the metal surface of one filter, which can suppress the spurious mode in the filter cavities effectively. Good agreement is obtained between the simulated and measured S-parameters of the proposed new structure.  相似文献

Compact quasi-elliptic bandpass filters using hexagonal open-loop resonators are presented. To miniaturise circuit size, a pair of capacitive side-coupled stubs and two pairs of spurlines are placed skilfully into the filter structure. The new filter operating at 1.65 GHz was analysed, simulated and fabricated. Good agreement between simulations and measurements verified the validity of the methodology. Moreover, the circuit size only occupies 21.1 x 14.1 mm2 (?0.21λg x ≅0.14λg).  相似文献

We report several types of coplanar waveguide tri-section stepped-impedance resonator (SIR) structures that offer further size reduction compared to the conventional two-section SIRs. In addition, the tri-section SIRs provide flexibility of introducing effective capacitive coupling to the ground lines for realizing slow-wave structures. The slow-wave effect can be used to implement more compact bandpass filters. The principles of achieving size reductions using tri-section SIRs are described and confirmed by simulation results. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed tri-section SIRs in size reduction, the tri-section SIRs with slow-wave effects were implemented in a two-pole directly coupled bandpass filter and a fourth-order quasi-elliptic bandpass filter with reduced size. The measured results matched well with the theoretical prediction.  相似文献

Wide-stopband and compact microstrip bandpass filters (BPFs) are proposed using various dissimilar quarter-wavelength (/spl lambda//4) stepped-impedance resonators (SIRs) for multiple spurious suppression. The use of /spl lambda//4 SIRs is essential in widening the filter stopband and reducing the circuit size. By properly arranging the individual /spl lambda//4 SIR, which has the same fundamental resonance frequency f/sub 0/, but has different spurious (harmonic) resonance frequencies, and also carefully misaligning the maximum current density nodes, several higher order spurious resonances may be suppressed so that a BPF with wide stopband may be realized. In this study, the basic concept of multiple spurious suppression is demonstrated by thoroughly investigating the spurious characteristics of the fourth-order interdigital BPFs, which consist of two different types of /spl lambda//4 SIRs. To widen the rejection bandwidth, the fourth-order coupled-resonator BPFs based on three and four different types of /spl lambda//4 SIRs are implemented and carefully examined. Specifically, a very wide-stopband microstrip BPF composed of four dissimilar /spl lambda//4 SIRs is realized and its stopband is extended even up to 11.4f/sub 0/ with a rejection level better than 27.5 dB.  相似文献

A compact filter for ultra-wideband (UWB) applications is proposed and developed through quasi-equal allocation of the first three resonant frequencies of a stub-loaded resonator together with strong input/output excitation. Measured results show low insertion loss and flat group delay in the entire passband as well as a wide stopband. The size for this single-layer UWB filter without feeding lines is only 9.5times5 mm (0.53 lambdagtimes0.28 lambdag in which lambdag is the guided wavelength of 50 microstrip at the centre frequency).  相似文献

Continuous time current-mode high-order low-pass and band-pass filters based on the log-domain concept are presented in this paper. The passive RLC ladder networks are used as the prototype to achieve the proposed filter by simulating the RLC network synthesis method. The achieved filters have inherited the good sensitivity performance from the RLC passive prototype. Fifth-order RLC ladder low-pass filter and sixth-order RLC ladder band-pass filter are used as prototypes and the signal flow graph (SFG) technique is used for the synthesis. The SFG can identify group of integrators and several signal paths. Log-domain lossy and lossless integrators based on BJT technology are deployed to achieve the integrators for realization of proposed filters. The simulations were carried out and the results exhibited several features which are in agreement with the RLC prototype. The frequency response of filters along 100 kHz to 10 MHz can be electronically tuned through 5–500 µA of bias currents. The THD lower than 1% of LP and BP filters were measured at 10 MHz input. The multi-tone tested was included in the paper for verifying the performance of proposed LP and BP filters. The intermodulation distortions around −50 dB and −60 dB were also investigated for the proposed LP and BP filters.  相似文献

基于横向滤波器耦合结构,采用支节加载双模谐振器,设计了中心频率位于1.57 GHz(GPS应用)与2.4GHz(WLAN应用)的双频微带滤波器。由短路支节加载双模谐振器形成第一个通带,开路支节加载双模谐振器形成第二个通带,两个谐振器被输入/输出馈线隔离,每个通带的中心频率与带宽可以单独调节。测试结果表明:两个通带内的最小插损分别为2.18,1.35 dB,3 dB带宽分别为5.2%,6.8%,回波损耗均小于16 dB,三个传输零点分别位于1.28,2.08,2.71 GHz处。该滤波器具有尺寸小、带外选择性好等优点。  相似文献

A compact FIR laser cavity having a couple of folding mirrors was designed. By inserting this FIR cavity into the pump TE CO2 laser resonator, we observed 19 FIR NH3 laser lines of which 4 new lines were included. The maximum output power was over 500 W at 90 μm.  相似文献

A compact ultra-wideband bandpass filter with good upper-stopband performance is presented. A wide stopband above the desired passband is realised relying on three transmission zeros of capacitive-ended parallel coupled lines. A modified multiple-mode resonator is formed with a self-contained stopband. By linking this resonator with two interdigital coupled lines, an ultra-wideband bandpass filter is constituted. Predicted results are verified by experiment in a frequency range of DC to 25 GHz.  相似文献

This paper presents a compact wideband bandpass filter for TETRA band applications. The proposed filter design is based on a quad mode resonator designed using small rectangular loop loaded with four Stepped Impedance Stubs (SISs) and a short circuit stub. The four modes of the resonator help in generating a wide passband. The use of SISs makes the filter compact. In addition to four transmission poles, the resonator inherently generates a transmission zero above the higher end of passband. Two transmission zeros are generated by the input/output coupling which helps in increasing the selectivity and also for achieving wide stopband. This filter provides a 3 dB fractional bandwidth of 30.33% and maximum insertion loss of 1.3 dB at the center frequency 0.36 GHz with a compact size of 0.125 λg × 0.085 λg (4.1 × 2.78 cm2).  相似文献

This paper presents a theoretical analysis of, and experimental results given by, stepped impedance (SI) resonators constructed and used as high-Q resonators in the UHF band. These results made it clear that the Q-factor is higher than conventional capacitor-loaded resonators. Three types of bandpass filters were designed and fabricated using the SI resonators. The filters mentioned in this paper show that excellent performance has been obtained.  相似文献

文中提出了一种新型的小型化微带带通滤波器设计方案.方案所提微带带通滤波器的基本结构是折叠多模谐振器,该谐振器不仅具有谐振元件的特性,还能作为开路短截线.新型微带带通滤波器能够实现宽频带的通带响应,并在通带内具有较低的插入损耗和良好的阻带匹配特性,且在通带外额外产生了一对传输零点.本文给出了滤波器的等效电路分析和初步设计方案.该滤波器的最大优点在于进一步减小了滤波器尺寸,同时改善了滤波器的衰减极点,其中心频率为5.2 GHz.  相似文献

This paper deals with a rigorous synthesis of dual behavior resonator (DBR) filters with integrated low-pass filter for spurious response suppression. The basic low-pass filter consists in an L-C-L structure associating two transmission lines and an open-ended stub. After full definition, the synthesis is validated from comparisons between simulation- and experimental-data acquired with some third-order filters designed on alumina substrate.  相似文献
