介绍了一种在TMN基本组件中使用数据库的框架。管理者和代理以客户/服务器方式动作,用数据库来存放TMN负责的被管目标的实例。数据库也用来存放能够反映这些被管目标状态变化的事件。各被管目标及相互间关系用GDMO和ASN.1来描述。 关键是这种框架不依赖于任何具体的数据库技术或系统,但能够满足TMN及其开发过程的需要。这是通过一个独立于数据库的客户/服务器应用程序接口(API)来实现的,对于该API每个数据库都有一个服务器实现,我们称为数据库包。另外,数据库包还有一个Schema产生器(Schema是这样定义的,它是一组以数据定义语言来表达的语句集,该语句集完整地描述了数据库的结构),用来将MIB信息组装到数据库中。 数据库还可以用来作为虚拟内存地址空间,以便寻址和操作大量的被管目标,而不用把它们同时调入内存。为了实现这个功能,引入了虚拟被管目标地址(VMOA)。它是一个描述被管目标在数据库中参考的类,这种方式允许所有、部分或零个被管目标属性存放于数据库中。例如,所有的属性可能在实际网络资源中维护,但数据库中只需要维护该被管目标与其它被管目标之间的关系。  相似文献

This paper examines the potential of satellite systems to carry synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH) transmissions and proposes a possible earth-station architecture capitalizing on the benefits that SDH equipment offers. It is shown that a range of SDH multiplexing rates are viable over satellite and that multi-destination operation of satellite systems is facilitated by using the inherent features of the SDH. The use of STM-1 (155 Mbit/s) and sub-STM-1 transmission rates as transmission sections along with appropriate integration of the multiplexing and modem equipment would:. (a) enable SDH path continuity between earth-stations, allowing the satellite network to be integrated with managed terrestrial networks to form global managed transmission platforms. (b) provide bandwidth and equipment savings at earth-stations. Several technical issues relating to SDH operation over satellite systems are considered and SDH pointer corruption is examined in some detail.  相似文献

CMIS/P is the OSI systems management service and protocol used as the base technology for the telecommunications management network. It is a generic object oriented protocol that provides multiple object access capabilities to managed object clusters administered by agent applications. Its navigation and object selection capabilities rely on traversing containment relationships. This is restrictive because information models for emerging broadband technologies (SDH/SONET, ATM) exhibit various other relationships. We present extensions to the CMIS service that provide a richer access language and show how these extensions can be supported by corresponding extensions to the CMIP protocol. These extensions allow traversal of any object relationship and filtering out objects at any stage of the selection process. CMIS++ provides much greater expressive power than CMIS, while CMIP++ supports the remote evaluation of the corresponding expressions, minimizing the management traffic required for complex management information retrieval. These extensions follow an incremental approach, starting from a version compatible with the current standard and gradually adding sophisticated features. The applicability and importance of the proposed concepts is demonstrated through an example from SDH management, while we also discuss implementation considerations  相似文献

Several organizations are incorporating the architecture being developed by the Open Systems Interconnection/Network Management Forum into their network management products and systems. It is expected that, as this architecture develops, it will be the basis for multivendor exchange of network management data for the next five to ten years. This architecture and key concepts being developed by the Forum to allow the interoperation of several network management systems using an open interface are summarized. These apply to the full range of networks that must be managed, including computer and communication, local area, wide area international, voice (public and private), and packet data networks. The concepts covered include: Conformant Management Entity (CME), which is a management system that supports the interoperable interface defined by the Forum; managed objects, the abstract representations of the real resources to be managed; and the interoperable interface, which consists of a defined set of protocols (using the OSI seven-layer protocol stack) over which particular messages about managed objects are exchanged  相似文献

POS(Packet over SDH)是一项新兴的技术,它能够在传统的SDH传输平台上提供灵活和高效的数据业务支持,从而实现网络功能的增值。目前,POS作为IP宽带传送技术得到了广泛应用,特别是在城域网建设中受到人们的青睐。在现有的SDH设备中开发POS接口能极大地提高产品的竞争力,推动网络建设的发展。本文提出了一种在SDH设备中实现以太接入的整体解决方案,并介绍了基于FPGA设计的POS方案的设计思想和结构。该方案实现效率高,充分考虑了传输的可靠性,并且易于扩展。  相似文献

在同步数字网络中,同步是数据流正确传输的基础,因此同步技术是数字传输领域的关键技术。为了实现网络的同步,业界普遍采用锁相技术,因为锁相环的性能优越,尤其是数字锁相环的可调范围更宽而且更容易实现。文中以SDH(同步数字系列)技术为例,介绍了以锁相环为基础的同步技术的原理和特点,根据SDH网络中的同步结构和方式,提供了锁相环在SDH网络同步中的具体应用方案,着重分析了这种结构的特性。这种方案在实际应用中有较好的稳定性,对各种网络的同步是一种很好的参考。  相似文献

The effective management of access networks presents challenges which are not found in other sectors of the telecommunications network. The approaches being developed for the management modeling of access networks allow systems with different technologies and from different vendors to be managed in a uniform way. The functional architecture used for SDH can be generalized so that it is applicable to access networks, and this forms the basis of the modeling of their logical functionality. Technology-specific models of the various elements can be integrated into a technology-independent network model, and the physical resources and logical structure can be modeled to simplify repairs and improve inventory management. The development of standards for the management of the access network is an evolutionary process, but sufficient standards are now in place in order to achieve a useful level of functionality over a Q3 interface. Developing solutions that take advantage of the initial telecommunications management network (TMN) standards allows experiences to be fed back into the standards bodies to generate a more complete set of standard specifications, leading to the goal of access network management as part of a totally integrated TMN  相似文献

Service providers rely on performance monitoring capabilities not only to ensure integrity of their network but also to support service-level agreements with their customers. The depth of monitoring is directly tied to the technology and protocol used in the transport layer of the network. Next-generation services based on enterprise-centric, non-SONET/SDH protocols, such as Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel, as well as managed protocol-independent wavelength transport, have created a number of challenges for service providers because of the differences in how error monitoring is performed. The digitalization of both transmission and switching facilities as the basis for both a high standard quality of service and the introduction of advanced network features (like intelligent network and integrated services digital network, or ISDN) is described. The development of synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH) systems is discussed, with particular attention given to the add-drop multiplexer and to management issues. The impact of the new SDH transmission equipment on the present plesiochronous network is assessed. The currently envisaged strategy for introducing SDH systems into the Italian transmission network is examined.
