In this study, investigations have been made on the crystal structure, surface morphology, dielectric and electrical properties of tungsten doped SrBi2(WxTa1−x)2O9 (0.0  x  0.20) ferroelectric ceramics. Dielectric measurements performed as a function of temperature at 1, 10 and 100 kHz show an increase in Curie temperature (Tc) over the composition range of x = 0.05–0.20. W6+ substitution in perovskite-like units results in a sharp dielectric transition at the ferroelectric Curie temperature with the dielectric constant at their respective Curie temperature increasing with tungsten doping. The dielectric loss reduces significantly with tungsten addition. The temperature dependence of ac and dc conductivity vis-à-vis tungsten content shows a decrease in conductivity, which is attributed to the suppression of oxygen vacancies. The activation energy calculated from the Arrhenius plots is found to increase with tungsten content.  相似文献

In the present work, lead-free (Ba1?xCax)(Zr0.04Ti0.96)O3 (x=0.00–0.09) ceramics were fabricated via a solid-state reaction method. The microstructure and electrical properties of the ceramics were investigated. The microstructure of the BCZT ceramics showed a core shell structure at compositions of x=0.03 and 0.06. The substitution of small amount of Ba2+ by Ca2+ resulted in an improvement of the piezoelectric, dielectric and ferroelectric properties of the ceramics. The orthorhombic–tetragonal phase transition was found in the composition of x≤0.03. Piezoelectric coefficient of d33~392 pC/N and lowest Ec~3.3 kV/cm with highest Pr~14.1 μC/cm2 were obtained for the composition of x=0.03 while its Curie temperature (TC) was as high as 125 °C. However, the ferroelectric to paraelectric transition temperature had slightly shifted towards room temperature with increasing Ca2+ concentration.  相似文献

The effect of CuO addition on magnetic and electrical properties of Sr2Bi4Ti5O18 (SBT) lead-free bismuth layered structure ferroelectric ceramics have been studied and reported. Interestingly, the prepared samples exhibit multiferroic behavior with the coexistence of magnetic and ferroelectric phase transition temperature. Magnetic phase transition with Neel׳s temperature (TN) of 657 K is observed at 0.75 mol% of CuO added SBT ceramics, which is higher than the well known multiferroic BiFeO3 (643 K) and the ferroelectric phase transition with Curie temperature (TC) of 587 K is observed at 1 mol% of CuO added SBT ceramics, which is relatively higher than the reported pure SBT ceramics (558 K). Further, the electrical properties such as dielectric, ferroelectric, piezoelectric, leakage current density characteristics and optical properties were investigated as a function of x (x=0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and 1 mol%). Presence of strong magnetic super-exchange interactions in CuO and the creation of oxygen vacancies play a vital role in the enhancement of magnetic and electrical properties of CuO doped SBT ceramics. Moreover, the present results indicate that, small amount (0.25 mol%) of CuO addition in SBT ceramics enhances the electrical properties significantly and vice versa, large amount (0.75 mol%) of CuO addition enhances the magnetic properties. Thus, the presence of magneto-electric coupling effect was observed in CuO doped Sr2Bi4Ti5O18 ferroelectric ceramics.  相似文献

Zr–Eu alloy containing 3 at% Eu was prepared by a powder metallurgical method and Eu3+-doped ZrO2 nanotube arrays were prepared by anodising the Zr–Eu alloy. The properties of Eu3+-doped ZrO2 nanotube arrays were studied in contrast to undoped ZrO2 nanotube arrays under different annealing temperatures. Results showed that the Eu3+ ions could not only stabilise the tetragonal phase of zirconium oxide, but also make the crystallite sizes smaller. Annealing temperature exerted a significant influence on the absorbance value, as well as the intensity and position of the photoluminescence peaks. When the excitation wavelength was either 248 nm or 270 nm, the sample annealed at 600 °C displayed the strongest emission peak; while under excitation at 232 nm, the sample annealed at 400 °C exhibited the strongest emission peak.  相似文献

Tunable full color emissive LiSr3.99?xDy0.01(BO3)3:xEu3+ (0≤x≤0.09) phosphors peaked at 481 nm (blue), 574 nm (yellow), 592 nm (orange), and 617 nm (red) were synthesized in air by high temperature solid-state reaction route. The as-synthesized phosphors were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), photoluminescence excitation (PLE) and photoluminescence (PL) spectra. The PLE spectra in the range from 200 to 500 nm include an Eu–O charge transfer band (CTB) and several 4f–4f transition peaks of Dy3+ and Eu3+, indicating its potential application in white light emitting diodes (LEDs). The effect of Eu3+ concentration on the emission intensity of LiSr3.99?xDy0.01(BO3)3:xEu3+ phosphors was investigated in detail and the optical concentration is found to be x=0.005. The CIE chromaticity coordinates for LiSr3.99?xDy0.01(BO3)3:xEu3+ phosphors are simulated. With an increase in Eu3+ ion concentration, the chromaticity color coordinates can be tuned efficiently from the border of greenish white region to its equal-energy white light point, and eventually to red region. All the results imply that the studied LiSr3.99?xDy0.01(BO3)3:xEu3+ phosphors could be potentially used as white LEDs.  相似文献

Lead-free piezoelectric ceramics, Sr1−x(K0.5Bi0.5)xBi2Nb2O9 (SKBN-x, x=0, 0.2, 0.5, 1.0), were synthesized by a conventional solid-state reaction. Structural and electrical properties of SKBN-x ceramics were investigated. X-ray diffraction analysis suggested that the substitution led to the formation of a layered perovskite structure. Plate-like morphologies for the grains were clearly observed in all the samples, which are characteristic for layer-structure Aurivillius compounds. The Curie temperature (Tc) is found to shift to higher temperature from 445 °C to 509 °C with increasing (K, Bi) content. Excellent remanent polarization (2Pr∼15 μC/cm2) were obtained for SKBN-0.2 ceramic. High piezoelectric coefficient of d33∼21  pC/N were obtained for the samples at x=0.5. Additionally, thermal annealing studies indicated that the piezoelectric coefficient (d33) of SKBN-0.5 was unchanged even if annealing temperature increased to be 450 °C, demonstrating the ceramics are the promising candidates for high-temperature applications.  相似文献

Lead-free piezoelectric (1 ? x)Bi0.5(Na0.78K0.22)0.5TiO3xK0.5Na0.5NbO3 (BNKT–xKNN, x = 0–0.10) ceramics were synthesized using a conventional, solid-state reaction method. The effect of KNN addition on BNKT ceramics was investigated through X-ray diffraction (XRD), dielectric, ferroelectric and electric field-induced strain characterizations. XRD revealed a pure perovskite phase with tetragonal symmetry in the studied composition range. As the KNN content increased, the depolarization temperature (Td) as well as maximum dielectric constant (?m) decreased. The addition of KNN destabilized the ferroelectric order of BNKT ceramics exhibiting a pinched-type hysteresis loop with low remnant polarization (11 μC/cm2) and small piezoelectric constant (27 pC/N) at 3 mol% KNN. As a result, at x = 0.03 a significant enhancement of 0.22% was observed in the electric field-induced strain, which corresponds to a normalized strain (Smax/Emax) of ~434 pm/V. This enhancement is attributed to the coexistence of ferroelectric and non-polar phases at room temperature.  相似文献

(0.97−x)BiScO3xPbTiO3–0.03Pb(Mn1/3Nb2/3)O3 (BS–PT–PMnN) ceramics were prepared by solid-state reaction method. X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) of BS–PT–PMnN ceramics located near x=0.58. The high Curie temperature (437 °C), large piezoelectric constant (300 pC/N), low dielectric loss (0.015) and small strain hysteresis (20%) were obtained for the MPB composition. Its dielectric loss and strain hysteresis were reduced down to one third and half those of pure BiScO3–PbTiO3 (BS–PT) ceramics, respectively. In addition, the maximum vibration velocity of the BS–PT–PMnN ceramics was 0.85 ms−1, much superior to those of BS–PT (0.15 ms−1) and modified PZT (0.4 ms−1) ceramics. These results indicated BS–PT–PMnN ceramics were promising candidates for high temperature piezoelectric applications.  相似文献

A series of (1−x)YVO4/xY2O3:Eu3+0.006,Bi3+0.006 (0≤x≤0.54) composite phosphors was synthesized in one step by high temperature solid state reaction and the photoluminescence properties were investigated. By means of co-doping Eu3+ and Bi3+ ions into the composite matrices composed of YVO4 and Y2O3 crystals, the YVO4/Y2O3:Eu3+,Bi3+ phosphor exhibits simultaneously the blue (418 nm), green (540 nm) and orange-red (595, 620 nm) emissions. The broad blue and green emissions are attributed to the 3P11S0 transitions of Bi3+ ion both in Y2O3 and in YVO4 matrices. Moreover, the sharp orange-red emissions are attributed to the 5D07F1,2 transitions of Eu3+ ion in YVO4 matrix. By tuning the mole ratio of YVO4/Y2O3 matrices the white light-emitting could be obtained. The results indicated that when the mole ratio of Y2O3 (x) is at 0.11–0.54 mol, the (1−x)YVO4/xY2O3:Eu3+0.006,Bi3+0.006 phosphors emit white light by combining the blue, green and orange-red emissions under the excitation of 360–370 nm wavelength which matches the emission of the commercial UV-LED diode. This implies that the phosphors may be the promising white light materials with broad absorption band for white light-emitting diodes.  相似文献

In this work, we report the polymorphic phase transitions(PPT) in ferroelectric Ba0.95Sr0.05ZrxTi(1-x)O3 (BSZT, x = 0.01–0.10) ceramics synthesized by using a solid-state reaction method. The doping elements and composition ratios were selected to create adjoining PPT phase boundaries near room temperature, hence to achieve a broadened peak of piezoelectric performance with respect to composition. The temperature-composition phase diagram was constructed and the effects of PPT on the electromechanical and ferroelectric properties of the ceramics were investigated. It was revealed that the two adjacent PPT regions at room temperature showed different characteristics in property enhancement. However, due to the proximity of the phase boundaries, Ba0.95Sr0.05ZrxTi(1-x)O3 ceramics in a fairly broad range of compositions (0.02  x  0.07) showed excellent piezoelectric properties, including a large piezoelectric constant (312 pC/N  d33  365 pC/N) and a high electromechanical coupling coefficient kp (0.42  kp  0.49).  相似文献

Lead free ferroelectric ceramics near the morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) of KxNa1?x(NbO3)/KNN system (where x=0.48, 0.50, 0.52) were synthesized in the single perovskite phase by the partial co-precipitation synthesis route. The compositional dependences of phase, structure and electrical properties were studied in detail. X-ray diffraction (XRD) study revealed the coexistence of orthorhombic and monoclinic structures in K0.50N0.50NbO3. SEM characterization of the sintered KNN ceramics revealed dense and homogeneous packing of grains. Room temperature (RT) dielectric constant (εr) ~648, dielectric loss (tan δ) ~0.05 at 100 kHz, a relatively high density (ρ) ~4.49 g/cm3, remnant polarization (Pr) ~11.76 μC/cm2, coercive field (Ec) ~9.81 kV/cm, Curie temperature (Tc) ~372 °C and piezoelectric coefficient (d33) ~71 pC/N observed in K0.50N0.50NbO3 suggested that it can be an important lead free ferroelectric material.  相似文献

(Ba0.85Ca0.15)1−xPrx(Zr0.1Ti0.9)O3 (where 0 < x < 0.01, abbreviated as BCZT:xPr) ceramics were fabricated by conventional solid-state reaction method. The influence of dopant concentration and microstructure on photoluminescence, ferroelectric, and piezoelectric properties was systematically investigated. The results showed that the photoluminescence spectra of the samples exhibited strong green (530 nm) and red (602 nm) emissions upon excitation of the 430 nm to 500 nm light, which couples well with to the emission band of the commercial blue light-emitting diodes chips. The emission intensities were strongly dependent on the dopant concentration and crystallite size, which reached the optimal value when the crystallite size and dopant concentration were 8 μm and 0.002 mol, respectively. Meanwhile, a large piezoelectric response with d33 = 325 pC/N was obtained for BCZT:0.002Pr near the morphotropic phase boundary. Therefore, the Pr-doped BCZT materials, simultaneously exhibiting excellent luminescent properties and high piezoelectric properties, may have significant technological promise in novel multifunctional devices.  相似文献

Eu2+ ion doped β-sialon (Si6?zAlzOzN8?z:xEu2+) phosphors were prepared from pyrophyllite-based mixtures by a carbothermal reduction and nitridation method first. Then, the effects of z values and the Eu concentration on the structure and the photoluminescence (PL) properties were investigated. β-Sialon was successfully synthesized as a dominant phase even at the low temperature of 1500 °C, while Si3N4 and AlN weakly coexisted as secondary phases. The PL excitation spectra exhibited the broad spectra covering up to 500 nm, and the greenish-yellow emission was observed at around 580 nm. At z=1 and x=0.012, excellent emission intensity could be attained.  相似文献

0.8Bi0.5Na0.5Ti(1-x)NbxO3−0.2Sr0.85Bi0.1TiO3 (BNT-SBT-xNb, x = 0.00, 0.01, 0.02, and 0.03) piezoelectric ceramics were prepared by traditional solid state reaction and the influence of Nb substitution on the phase structure, ferroelectric, piezoelectric, and electric-field-induced strain properties in BNT-SBT ceramics were studied. XRD results exhibited that Nb5+ ions could fully diffuse into BNT-SBT structure to form a solid solution when x = 0.01. P-E loops and S-E curves suggested that the ferroelectric phase transformed to ergodic relaxor state (FE-to-ER) with the increasing the amount of Nb additive, indicating the ferroelectric long-ranged order was disturbed by the excess of Nb. With increasing Nb doping, phase transition temperature from normal ferroelectric to ergodic relaxor (short for TF-R) could be reduced from 120 °C to 40 °C. Furthermore, for sample with x = 0.01, the normalized strain d33* got a maximum value ~571 pm/V due to the phase transition from ergodic relaxor to ferroelectric (ER-to-FE) under electric field.  相似文献

Lead-free ceramics (1 ? x)(K0.48Na0.52)NbO3–(x/5.15)K2.9Li1.95Nb5.15O15.3 (x = 0.3–0.6, KNN–KLN100x) were prepared by conventional sintering technique at a low temperature of 960 °C. The effects of KLN contents on microstructure, dielectric, and piezoelectric properties were investigated. After the addition of KLN, the sintering performance and Curie temperature of the ceramics were markedly improved. The ceramics with x = 0.3 exhibited very good piezoelectric properties: d33 = 138 pC/N, kp = 45.03%, Tc = 495 °C, the dielectric constant at room temperature ?r (RT) = 478 and the maximum dielectric constant ?r (max) = 5067. These results indicated that the KNN–KLN100x lead-free ceramics sintered at low temperatures are promising for high temperature piezoelectric applications.  相似文献

This paper reports the significant improved piezoelectric properties of high temperature bismuth titanate niobate (Bi3TiNbO9, BTN) polycrystalline ceramics. The piezoelectric performance of BTN ceramics is significantly enhanced by cerium modifications. The dielectric measurements indicate that the Curie temperature Tc gradually decreases over the temperature range of 907–889 °C with cerium contents increasing up to 0.7 wt%. The BTN-5Ce (BTN+0.5 wt% CeO2) exhibits optimized piezoelectric properties with a piezoelectric constant d33 of 16 pC/N, which is five times the value of unmodified BTN (d33~3 pC/N), while BTN-5Ce maintains a high Curie temperature Tc of 894 °C. The temperature-dependent electrical impedance and electromechanical coupling factors (kp, and kt) reveal that the BTN-5Ce exhibits thermally stable electromechanical coupling characteristics up to 500 °C but significantly deteriorates at 600 °C due to high conductivity at a higher temperature. The thermally stable electromechanical properties in combination with the ceramics׳ high electrical resistivity (106 Ω cm at 500 °C) and high Curie temperature (~900 °C) demonstrate that cerium-modified BTN ceramics are good materials for high temperature sensing applications.  相似文献

Bi0.5(Na0.65K0.35)0.5TiO3 (BNKT) and Mn-modified Bi0.5(Na0.65K0.35)0.5(MnxTi1−x)O3 (BNKMT-103x), (x=0.0–0.5%) ferroelectric ceramics were synthesized by solid-state reaction method. Optimization of calcination temperature in Mn-doped ceramics was carried out for the removal of secondary phases observed in XRD analysis. BNKMT ceramics sintered at 1090 °C showed enhanced dielectric, piezoelectric and ferroelectric properties in comparison to pure BNKT. The average grain size was found to increase from 0.35 μm in BNKT to 0.52 μm in Bi0.5(Na0.65K0.35)0.5(Mn0.0025Ti0.9975)O3 (BNKMT-2.5) ceramics. The dielectric permittivity maximum temperature (Tm) was increased to a maximum of 345 °C with Mn-modification. AC conductivity analysis was performed as a function of temperature and frequency to investigate the conduction behavior and determine activation energies. Significant high value of piezoelectric charge coefficient (d33=176 pC/N) was achieved in BNKMT 2.5 ceramics. Improved temperature stability of ferroelectric behavior was observed in the temperature dependent P–E hysteresis loops as a result of Mn-incorporation. The fatigue free nature along with enhanced dielectric and ferroelectric properties make BNKMT-2.5 ceramic a promising candidate for replacing lead based ceramics in device applications.  相似文献

Neodymium (Nd) doped intergrowth bismuth layer-structured ferroelectric compounds Bi7?xNdxTi4NbO21 (x = 0, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75 and 2.0) were synthesized through a solid-state method. The influence of the Nd3+ substitution of Bi3+ on the lattice, microstructure and electrical properties of these compounds were investigated. The X-ray diffraction and Raman scattering analyses demonstrate that a phase transition from orthorhombic to pseudo-tetragonal occurs in these compounds, relying on substitution proportions and sites of Nd3+ for Bi3+. With the increasing Nd3+ dopants, the growth of plate-like grains along the ab plane and a secondary intergranular metallic Bi phase were retarded which resulted in the increases of sintering temperature, density and electrical resistance of the doped ceramics. The resultant ceramic with x = 1.25 possesses a piezoelectric coefficient d33 up to 16.3 pC/N with a Curie temperature TC above 750 °C were obtained for the compound.  相似文献

Eu3+/Nd3+-codoped Ba2LaF7 transparent bulk glass ceramics were successfully fabricated by glass self-crystallization. The structure and morphology of the sample were investigated by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high-resolution TEM, and selected area electron diffraction. The fluorescence intensity ratios of Nd3+ emission at 800 nm to the Eu3+ emission at 699 nm (5D07F4) were measured under 578.3 nm laser excitation in a wide temperature range from 290 to 740 K. A relatively good temperature sensing performance was obtained with a maximum relative sensitivity of 1.02% K−1 at 420 K. Both the emission peaks for temperature sensing were located in the optical window of biological tissue, which is favorable for biomedical applications. The results indicate that Ba2LaF7:Nd3+/Eu3+ glass ceramics have a potential application as temperature probes.  相似文献

A series of red emitting phosphors Sr9Eu2W4?xMoxO24 (x = 0–4) have been synthesized by solid-state reactions and their crystal structures, photoluminescence properties were studied. The excitation and emission spectra of Sr9Eu2W4?xMoxO24 phosphors can be modified by Mo6+ doping. As the molybdate content increased, the Eu3+ emission intensity of Sr9Eu2W4?xMoxO24 (x = 0–4) under 395 nm excitation was found to increase and reached a maximum at x = 2. The excitation spectra, the emission intensities and the chromaticity coordinates of Sr9Eu2W4?xMoxO24 (x = 2) were compared to those of the conventional red phosphor Y2O2S: Eu3+. The intense red-emission under near-UV excitation suggests that Sr9Eu2W4?xMoxO24 (x = 2) could be a potential candidate for white light generation by using near-UV LEDs. In this study, the effects of Mo6+ doping on the crystal structure and photoluminescence properties of Sr9Eu2W4?xMoxO24 were discussed.  相似文献
