The rare earth element(REE) data from the Paleoproterozoic Bijawar basin,Sonrai phosphorites were used to interpret the depositional conditions of the phosphorites.The post archean Australian shales(PAAS) normalized REE patterns of the Sonrai phosphorites were characterized by negative Ce and positive Eu anomalies.Middle rare earth elements(MREE)-enrichment was a characteristic feature.Phosphorites showing the diagenetic effects on the REE patterns were limited.The observed Eu anomaly was indicative of an anoxic(or sulphate reducing) diagenetic environment of phosphate formation.Mixing of sea water and upwelling during the Paleoproterozoic was responsible for the recording of positive Eu and negative Ce anomalies in the Sonrai phosphorites.  相似文献

Trace elements and rare earth elements(REE)of the sulfide minerals were determined by inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometry.The results indicate that V,Cu,Sn,Ga,Cd,In,and Se are concentrated in sphalerite,Sb,As,Ge,and Ti are concentrated in galena,and almost all trace elements in pyrite are low.The Ga and Cd contents in the light-yellow sphalerites are higher than that in the brown and the black sphalerites.The contents of Ge,Ti,In,and Se in brown sphalerites are higher than that in light-yellow sphalerites and black sphalerites.It shows that REE concentrations are higher in pyrite than in sphalerite,and galena.In sphalerites,the REE concentration decreases from light-yellow sphalerites,brown sphalerites,to black sphalerites.The ratios of Ga/In are more than 10,and Co/Ni are less than 1 in the studied sphalerites and pyrites,respectively,indicating that the genesis of the Tianqiao Pb-Zn ore deposit might belong to sedimentary-reformed genesis associated with hydrothermal genesis.The relationship between LnGa and Lnln in sphalerite,and between LnBi and LnSb in galena,indicates that the Tianqiao Pb-Zn ore deposit might belong to sedimentary-reformed genesis.Based on the chondrite-normalized REE patterns,δEu is a negative anomaly(0.13-0.88),andδCe does not show obvious anomaly(0.88-1.31); all the samples have low total REE concentrations(<3ppm)and a wide range of light rare earth element/high rare earth element ratios(1.12-12.35).These results indicate that the ore-forming fluids occur under a reducing environment.Comparison REE compositions and parameters of sphalerites,galenas,pyrites,ores,altered dolostone rocks,strata carbonates,and the pyrite from Lower Carboniferous Datang Formation showed that the ore-forming fluids might come from polycomponent systems,that is,different chronostratigraphic units could make an important contribution to the ore-forming fluids.Combined with the tectonic setting and previous isotopic geochemistry evidence,we conclude that the ore-deposit genesis is hydrothermal,sedimentary reformed,with multisources characteristics of ore-forming fluids.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate differences in resting energy expenditure (REE) of black and white prepubertal children. SUBJECTS: The study subjects were 34 prepubertal children 5 to 12 years of age and weighing 90% to 206% ideal body weight. Girls represented 59% of the study subjects; 44% were white children and 56% were black children. METHODS: Fat-free mass (FFM), fat mass, and the percentage of body fat were determined by total body electrical conductivity. Fasting REE was measured by open-circuit indirect calorimetry. RESULTS: Although weight, height, FFM, fat mass, percentage of body fat, and age were similar between the ethnic groups (black vs. white children), the black subjects had a significantly lower REE (1312 +/- 38 kcal/day) compared with the white subjects (1524 +/- 43 kcal/day) after adjusting for age, gender, weight, FFM, and fat mass. Fat-free mass and ethnic group were the only significant predictors of REE (R2 = 0.70). CONCLUSION: Resting energy expenditure is significantly higher in this sample of white children compared with the black children after adjusting for body size and composition. Both FFM and ethnic background were significant determinants of REE in prepubertal children.  相似文献

The concentrations of rare earth elements(REEs)in the soil extracts and soil solutions from two different alluvial soil profiles irrigated with sewage were measured using inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry.The results showed that the REE concentrations in the soil extracts from soil samples affected by sewage irrigation were much higher than those in virgin soil samples.The REE concentrations in the soil extracts of the rhizophere soil were higher than those of the non-rhizophere soil.The shale-normalized REE patterns in the soil extracts from the upper soil layer affected by sewage irrigation shown middle REE(MREE)enrichment relative to light REE(LREE)and heavy REE(HREE).This result was attributed to the MREE-rich organic colloidal material,REE-HM(humic and fulvic acids)and phosphate-REE complexations.The REE patterns in the soil extracts from deep soil little-affected by sewage irrigation showed HREE enrichment relative to LREE,which might have been caused by the preferential complexation of HREE with carbonate.The normalized La/Yb ratios in the soil extracts increased with the decrease in depth.The sewage irrigation did not affect the total REE contents and REE pattern in the soil profiles.  相似文献

Thirteen weathering profiles of sedimentary rocks such as limestone, dolomitic limestone, dolomite, sillicalite, black shale and purple sandrock from Wujiang catchments were selected for study on enrichment and release behavior of rare earth elements (REE) during weathering, and its impact on plant growth and riverine REE distribution in the catchments with methods of hierachical cluster analysis and mass balance calculation in order to set a basis for riverine material source research and agricultural production. The results show that the enrichment degree of REE in calcareous soils from the Wujiang catchments is much higher than that of limestone, yellow soil, upper continental crust (UCC), China soil (CS) and world soil (WS). The ability of enrichment and release of REE is partly controlled by distribution of REE in bedrocks, contents and adsorption ability of organic matters, clay minerals and Fe-oxides/hydroxides in weathering profiles. The REE released from weathering of carbonate rocks and clastic rocks can be absorbed and utilized by local plants. The results also reveal that release of REE and Fe mainly from weathering of carbonate rocks and partly from clastic rocks exerts an important control on riverine REE distribution.  相似文献

Ion-absorption rare earth ores are an important mineral resource in China. Nowadays, the unauthorized mining has become a serious problem, resulting in severe water pollution and the wastage of rare earth elements (REEs). Being able to estimate the concentration of dissolved REEs in water bodies near mines is essential for tackling this environmental problem. Conventionally, quantitative analyses of the contents of dissolved REEs are performed using laboratory-based techniques, which can be time consuming and costly. Spectral reflectance is a rapid and cost-effective means of characterizing the chemical compositions of light-absorbing materials. In this study, reflectance spectroscopy was performed on dissolved REEs, and the correlation between their reflectance characteristics and REE content was determined. A total of 50 aqueous media samples collected in south Jiangxi Province and 25 laboratory-produced aqueous media samples were tested, and their reflectance spectra and REE contents were measured using reflectance spectroscopy and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, respectively. Next, the reflectance, differential reflectance, and absorption depth were analysed based on the REE content. Six diagnostic absorption features related to REEs are recognised in the visible and near-infrared wavelength regions, along with several smaller peaks. It indicates that the results of the absorption depth analysis are in accordance with the absorption spectra characteristics of the REEs, with the R2 value being higher than 0.97. The intensity of each of the six absorption bands exhibits a linear correlation to the total REE content. Therefore, linear regression models can be derived for estimating the total concentration of REEs in aqueous media samples. What's more, the detection limit for REEs is determined to be about 30 μg/L. Thus, it can be concluded that reflectance spectroscopy is a suitable technique for estimating the concentration of dissolved REEs.  相似文献

The three kinds of soil formed by the weathering of the basalt in Yema village,Weining county of Guizhou province,the carbonate rock in Guiyang district and the phosphorite in the REE-bearing phosphate mining area in Zhijin county of Guizhou province were all rich in REE.The contents of LREE in these three soil were higher than that of HREE,which was caused by the different properties of LREE and HREE complexes.Since light REE could be easily absorbed by kaolinite grains,LREE was fully enriched in the process of desorption,migration and re-absorption,which formed a typical LREE soil.The chondrite normalized distribution models of those three types of REE-enriched soil are basically similar,which belong to the right deviation type,namely,rich in light rare earth element but short of heavy rare earth element,and showing Ce negative anomalies.Eu showed intense negative anomalies in the REE in the soil formed by the weathering of the sedimentary parent rocks(such as carbonate rock and phosphorite),while no pronounced Eu anomaly was found in the REE in the soil formed by the weathering of volcanic rocks(such as basalt).It is clear that though there were intense migration and enrichment of REE during the weathering process of rocks,no obvious differentiation of REE occurred and some features of the parent rocks were retained.That is why REE is of value in analyzing the source of materials.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Epinephrine increases the metabolic rate and contributes to the hypermetabolic state in severe illness. OBJECTIVE: We sought to determine the effect of prolonged elevation of epinephrine on resting energy expenditure (REE). DESIGN: Thirteen healthy men were placed on a well-defined diet for 5 d. Beginning on the morning of the second diet day, the subjects were infused for 24 h with saline, then for 23 h with epinephrine (0.18 nmol x kg(-1) x min(-1)) to increase plasma epinephrine concentrations into the high physiologic range (4720 +/- 340 pmol/L). REE and the respiratory quotient (RQ) were measured by indirect calorimetry in the postabsorptive state at the same time every morning. RESULTS: Infusion of epinephrine significantly increased heart rate and systolic blood pressure, but the response was transient (values after 23 h of epinephrine infusion were not significantly different from those on the day saline was infused). Infusion of epinephrine significantly increased REE by 12% and increased the RQ. These changes were apparent at the end of the 23-h infusion (REE: 97.5 +/- 2.3 kJ x kg(-1) x d(-1) with saline infusion and 108.9 +/- 2.3 kJ x kg(-1) x d(-1) with epinephrine infusion; RQ: 0.832 +/- 0.012 with saline infusion and 0.879 +/- 0.013 with epinephrine infusion). REE returned to baseline by 24 h after the epinephrine infusion ended, but the postabsorptive RQ remained modestly elevated. Infusion of epinephrine also produced a transient increase in urine flow and in urinary nitrogen excretion. This diuresis was compensated for by a drop in urine volume and nitrogen excretion after the epinephrine infusion was stopped. CONCLUSIONS: Epinephrine produced a prolonged increase in REE in healthy subjects. The fuel for this increase in REE, determined by the RQ, was from increased carbohydrate oxidation, not from that of fat or protein.  相似文献

稀土的生理生化研究表明,稀土元素(REE)不是动植物的必需元素;低剂量的REE有诸多生物活性。本文根据现有文献及最新研究结果,就海洋制品中REE含量、稀土褐藻多糖的活性及稀土对水生生物的毒性作一综述。本文认为,制定海洋制品中REE的最大允许残留(MRL)和危害因子分析及关键控制点(HACCP)迫在眉睫;加强对稀土结合的生物大分子活性的研究,可望开发出新的生物功能材料。另外,寻找REE最佳的使用方式将能提高稀土在海水养殖上的可持续应用效果,减轻REE对水体的潜在污染。  相似文献

The distribution pattern of Rare Earth Elements (REE) in three categories of manganese ores viz. stratiform, stratabound-replacement, and detrital of Precambrian Iron Ore Group from north Orissa, India was reported. These categories of Mn-ore differed in their major and trace chemistry and exhibited contrasting REE signature. The stratiform ores were relatively enriched in ∑REE content (697 μg·g^-1) and their normalized pattern showed both positive Ce and Eu anomalies, whereas the stratabound-replacement types were comparatively depleted in ∑REE content (211 μg·g^-1) and showed negative Ce and flat Eu signatures. The detrital categories showed mixed REE pattern. The data plotted in different discrimination diagrams revealed a mixed volcaniclastic and chemogenic source of material for stratiform categories, and LREE (Light Rare Earth Elements) and HREE (Heavy Rare Earth Elements) are contributed by such sources, respectively. In contrast, the stratabound ore bodies were developed during the remobilization of stratiform ores, and associated Mncontaining rocks under supergene condition followed by the redeposition of circulating mineralized colloidal solutions in structurally favorable zones. During this process, some of the constituents were found only in very low concentration within stratabound ores, and this is attributed to their poor leachability/mobility. The detrital ores did not exhibit any significant characteristic in respect of REE as their development was via a complex combination of processes involving weathering, fragmentation, recementation, and burial under soil cover.  相似文献

In order to get a better understanding of metallogeny, the geochemical characteristics of REE and trace element for Gejiu tin polymetallic deposits were studied by comparing concentrations of REE and trace elements in different type ores and rocks, including skarn-type ore, bedded-type ore, vein-type ore, altered granite, country rocks. Results of this study indicated that the metallogenic matters for different type ores in the study area might be derived from the same origin source, which may be mainly related to granitic activities. Furthermore, there are some differences in concentrations of REE in different ores due to their different depositiona! mechanism during that time. LREE concentrations were enriched relatively in the vein-type ores and the bedded-type ores with relatively low total REE concentrations, whereas total REE concentrations were higher in the skarn-type ores with LREE and HREE concentrations in wide variation ranges.  相似文献

Rare earth elements(REE) are a set of seventeen chemical elements in the periodic table, which have been found in a variety classes of minerals in the world. The global demand for REE and their compounds has increased in high-tech applications over the past decades due to their chemical, catalytic, electrical, magnetic, and optical properties. After mining, comminution and ore beneficiation, hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical processes are carried out to recover REE compounds. The concentrate cracking is a process wherein the structure of a REE mineral is modified in order to dissolve REE in a weak acid solution. This would be accomplished through various techniques such as alkaline cracking and acid baking. The cracked concentrate is then leached to dissolve REE in a solution and subsequently recover those via neutralization, precipitation or solvent extraction methods. This paper reviewed the cracking and leaching methods applied to REE concentrates to produce an intermediate product for further REE separation.  相似文献
