设计并实现了基于无线二进制运行环境(BREW,Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless)无线应用平台的移动图书馆系统,包括:服务器模块、手机端模块,以及创新的手机模块-服务器模块通信协议。阐述了基于BREW无线应用平台的移动图书馆系统的设计与实现过程,给出了关键数据结构,并指出了实现该无线应用系统的关键技术。实践表明,基于BREW平台的手机移动图书馆系统整体解决方案是有效可行的,且具备较高的商业推广价值。  相似文献

通常把智能家居定义为利用计算机、网络和自动化控制技术,通过一个固定的平台将与家居生活有关的设备集成到一个系统中。系统通过无线通信技术进行各个节点和平台之间的通信,类似于一个家庭的局域网。文中设计了一种基于ZigBee技术的智能家居系统,除了能够利用ZigBee无线通信技术对室内的温湿度信息的实时感知,开关控制外,本系统还设计了视频流服务器,能够将室内的视频信息通过网络传输到远程客户端,如手机或者PC Web客户端。另外,此视频流服务器具有较强的扩展功能,能够进行各种常用协议的传输以及支持各种常见视频设备的数据采集。  相似文献

The popularity regarding wireless communications is such that more and more WAP sites have been developed with wireless markup language (WML). Meanwhile, to translate hypertext markup language (HTML) pages into proper WML ones becomes imperative since it is difficult for WAP users to read most contents designed for PC users via their mobile phone screens. However, for those sites that have been maintained with hypertext markup language (HTML), considerable time and manpower costs will be incurred to rebuild them with WML. In this paper, we propose an intelligent WAP site management system to cope with these problems. With the help of the intelligent management system, the original contents of HTML Web sites can be automatically translated to proper WAP content in an efficient way. As a consequence, the costs associated with maintaining WAP sites could be significantly reduced. The management system also allows the system manager to define the relevance of numerals and keywords for removing unimportant or meaningless contents. The original contents will be reduced and reorganized to fit the size of mobile phone screens, thus reducing the communication cost and enhancing readability. Numerical results gained through various experiments have evinced the effective performance of the WAP management system.  相似文献

In wireless data networks such as the WAP system, the cached data may be time-sensitive and thus strong consistency must be maintained, i.e., the data presented to the user at the WAP handset must be the same as that in the origin server. In this paper, a strongly consistent cached data access algorithm, Probability-Based Callback (pCB in short), is proposed for such networks. In the pCB, upon an update arrival, the action taken by the server is not deterministic; the server can either invalidate the cached data entry in the client or send the updated data entry to the client. The pCB scheme can make good tradeoff between communication cost and access delay, which is extremely difficult for most of the existing cache access schemes. Besides, the pCB scheme possesses excellent universal adaptability and thus can adapt to the inherent heterogeneity of wireless networks and applications. We analytically model the pCB scheme, and derive closed-form analytical formulae for the mean communication cost per data entry access and the mean access delay under a general assumption on distributions of the inter-update and inter-access times. It is demonstrated that the existing Push and Callback schemes are special cases of the pCB scheme.  相似文献

Ultra wideband (UWB) technology has emerged as a solution for the wireless interface between medical sensors and a personal server in future telemedicine systems. Wireless universal serial bus (USB) is the USB technology merged with UWB technology. Wireless USB can be applied to wireless personal area network applications as well as personal area network applications like wired USB. In case of n-screen service applications, data traffics must broadcast to the adjacent devices However, the current wireless USB is designed to support the communication through the point-to-point connection between the host and the device only. This policy increases delay and energy consumption of wireless host and devices significantly. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a novel multimedia streaming scheme for n-screen service in wireless USB networks. The simulation results show that proposed protocol can enhance the throughput and delay performance and improve energy efficiency by minimizing the multimedia data delivery process.  相似文献

A new integrated design approach for an optimal zonal wavelet-based ECG data compression (OZWC) method for a mobile telecardiology model is presented. The hybrid implementation issues of this wavelet method with a GSM-based mobile telecardiology system are also introduced. The performance of the mobile system with compressed ECG data segments selected from the MIT-BIH arrhythmia database is evaluated in terms of bit error rate (BER), percent rms difference (PRD), and visual clinical inspection. The compression performance analysis of the OZWC is compared with another wavelet-based (Discrete Symmetric Wavelet Compression) approach. The optimal wavelet algorithm achieved a maximum compression ratio of 18:1 with low PRD ratios. The mobile telemedical simulation results show the successful compressed ECG transmission at speeds of 100 (km/h) with BER rates of less than 10-15, providing a 73% reduction in total mobile transmission time with clinically acceptable reconstruction of the received signals. This approach will provide a framework for the design and functionality issues of GSM-based wireless telemedicine systems with wavelet compression techniques and their future integration for the next generation of mobile telecardiology systems  相似文献

Telemedicine applications, in some cases, need multipoint-to-multipoint communication. To meet the requirement of telemedicine communication, the development of a medical communication server is proposed in this paper. To make a working, as well as cost-effective, communication platform for the telemedicine applications, a specially designed communication server model is proposed in this work. This server is able to provide an effective multipoint-to-multipoint communication service for any level applications in telemedicine. The implementation program of this server is developed in a Windows '95 environment by using a winsocket. The trial application testing in a telemonitoring system is also presented to demonstrate the feasibility of taking such a structure with the server. By using the architecture of such a communication server in telemedicine applications, the multipoint-to-multipoint communication is easily managed and the communication processes are simplified and well controlled by the server  相似文献

With the advent of 4G and other long-term evolution (LTE) wireless networks, the traditional boundaries of patient record propagation are diminishing as networking technologies extend the reach of hospital infrastructure and provide on-demand mobile access to medical multimedia data. However, due to legacy and proprietary software, storage and decommissioning costs, and the price of centralization and redevelopment, it remains complex, expensive, and often unfeasible for hospitals to deploy their infrastructure for online and mobile use. This paper proposes the SparkMed data integration framework for mobile healthcare (m-Health), which significantly benefits from the enhanced network capabilities of LTE wireless technologies, by enabling a wide range of heterogeneous medical software and database systems (such as the picture archiving and communication systems, hospital information system, and reporting systems) to be dynamically integrated into a cloud-like peer-to-peer multimedia data store. Our framework allows medical data applications to share data with mobile hosts over a wireless network (such as WiFi and 3G), by binding to existing software systems and deploying them as m-Health applications. SparkMed integrates techniques from multimedia streaming, rich Internet applications (RIA), and remote procedure call (RPC) frameworks to construct a Self-managing, Pervasive Automated netwoRK for Medical Enterprise Data (SparkMed). Further, it is resilient to failure, and able to use mobile and handheld devices to maintain its network, even in the absence of dedicated server devices. We have developed a prototype of the SparkMed framework for evaluation on a radiological workflow simulation, which uses SparkMed to deploy a radiological image viewer as an m-Health application for telemedical use by radiologists and stakeholders. We have evaluated our prototype using ten devices over WiFi and 3G, verifying that our framework meets its two main objectives: 1) interactive delivery of medical multimedia data to mobile devices; and 2) attaching to non-networked medical software processes without significantly impacting their performance. Consistent response times of under 500 ms and graphical frame rates of over 5 frames per second were observed under intended usage conditions. Further, overhead measurements displayed linear scalability and low resource requirements.  相似文献

Mobile commerce (m-commerce) refers to an ability to conduct wireless commerce transactions using mobile applications in mobile devices. M-commerce applications can range from as simple as an address book synchronization to as complicated as credit card transactions. M-commerce is expected to grow dramatically in the near future supporting simple to complex commerce transactions. Even though the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) is designed to facilitate the development of wireless applications, it will not be sufficient to handle complex business transactions that require cooperation of different service applications. In order to handle these complex mobile commerce transactions efficiently, an intelligent, robust and scalable framework that provides diverse m-commerce services is required. This paper describes in detail such an m-commerce framework based on the Java Intelligent Network Infrastructure (JINI) and Wireless Applications Protocol (WAP).  相似文献

We have developed a new way of accessing biological databases and bioinformatics applications on the Internet. This new service, bioinformatics wireless application protocol (BioWAP) service, which is accessible by mobile devices makes it possible to access bioinformatics services, where normal PC or personal digital assistant (PDA) connections are not feasible. The BioWAP service includes major biological databases and applications demonstrating a simple method of implementing WAP interfaces to uncompliant applications, i.e. the applications that are not WAP or Internet based. Wireless application protocol (WAP) is being heralded as the standard for communication of mobile Internet services to smart phone and personal digital assistant devices. This paper proposes an IoT-enabled soil monitoring system using wireless sensor network for automatic irrigation in agricultural applications, especially for lemongrass plants, where an automated control system is required for irrigation applications. This can solve the problem of the water crisis, which is faced by the farmers during the cultivation of the crop in the field. This controls the water supply in the irrigation process using an IoT communication system. A system architecture for soil monitoring and controlling irrigation using IoT technique is designed where the different sensors and actuators like humidity, soil moisture, temperature, pump, and so forth are connected with a node microcontrol unit and message queuing telemetry transport (MQTT) protocol for enhancing communication capabilities. This wireless sensor network gives feedback to the system. This provides automation by the on/off pump system during drip irrigation. The sensor data are displayed on a PC or mobile phone through wireless communication and an IoT cloud platform. An experimental testing setup is developed and the experimental performance of a soil monitoring system using IoT technique for automatic drip irrigation has been carried out and soil moisture data are also stored in a cloud server for analytics. The performance shows that the MQTT protocol sends data within 48 s to the IoT cloud so that the data can be acquired in a faster manner. This shows that this kind of soil monitoring system is suitable for automatic drip irrigation, which enhances the farming process and overcomes the water crises in the agricultural system by reducing the wastage of water.  相似文献

In recent years, WAP has been gaining increasing popularity as a platform for mobile e-commerce; its security has thus become an important issue. In this paper, we focus primarily on improving WTLS, a sub-protocol of WAP, to achieve enhanced WAP security. We propose using an Anonymous Client Authentication (ACA) scheme, which can be applied in general to most Public Key Infrastructure based mobile e-commerce applications, to be incorporated into WTLS to provide client anonymity in WAP. Further, in order to support the desired security feature forward secrecy, and to resist various attacks which could hardly be coped with by the original WTLS, we exploit Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) for session key establishment. The proposed protocol has been shown able to outperform not only the original WTLS protocol, but also the published improved WTLS protocols in terms of computation cost and communication bandwidth. Besides, the proposed ACA scheme can also be exploited in other internet and wireless network based platforms.  相似文献
