The microstructures and the microwave dielectric properties of the (1 − x)Mg4Nb2O9-xCaTiO3 ceramic system were investigated. In order to achieve a temperature-stable material, CaTiO3 (τf ∼ 800 ppm/°C) was chosen as a τf compensator and added to Mg4Nb2O9 (τf ∼ −70 ppm/°C) to form a two phase system. It was confirmed by the XRD and EDX analysis. By appropriately adjusting the x-value in the (1 − x)Mg4Nb2O9-xCaTiO3 ceramic system, near-zero τf value can be achieved. A new microwave dielectric material, 0.5Mg4Nb2O9-0.5CaTiO3 applicable in microwave devices is suggested and possesses the dielectric properties of a dielectric constant ?r ∼ 24.8, a Q × f value ∼82,000 GHz (measured at 9.1 GHz) and a τf value ∼−0.3 ppm/°C.  相似文献

The correlation of crystal structure and microwave dielectric properties for Zn(Ti1−xSnx)Nb2O8 ceramics were investigated. The Zn(Ti1−xSnx)Nb2O8 ceramics contained ZnTiNb2O8 and an unknown Columbite-type phase. The columbite structure phase with increasing degree of ordering led to decrease of dielectric constant, increase of Qf and τf. The ZnTiNb2O8 with decreasing cation valence led to increase of τf. The typical values were: ? = 30.88, Qf = 43,500 GHz, τf = −54.32 × 10−6/ °C.  相似文献

(1 − x)Ca2/5Sm2/5TiO3-xLi1/2Nd1/2TiO3 (CSLNT) ceramic powder was prepared by a liquid mixing method using ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) as the chelating agent. TG, DTA, XRD and TEM characterized the precursors and derived oxide powders. When x = 0.3, perovskite CSLNT was synthesized at 1000 °C for 3 h in air. The CSLNT (x = 0.3) ceramics sintered at 1200 °C for 3 h show excellent microwave dielectric properties of ?r = 99, Qf = 6200 GHz and τf = 9 × 10−6 °C−1.  相似文献

ZnO-(1 − x)TiO2-xSnO2 (x = 0.04-0.2) ceramics were prepared by conventional mixed-oxide method combined with a chemical processing. Fine particle powders were prepared by chemical processing to activate the formation of compound and to improve the sinterability. One wt.% of V2O5 and B2O3 with the mole ratios of 3:1 were used to lower the sintering temperature of ceramics. The effect of Sn content on phase structure and dielectric properties were investigated. The results show that the substituting Sn for Ti accelerates the hexagonal phase transition to cubic phase, and an inverse spinel structure Zn2(Ti1−xSnx)O4 solid solution forms. The best dielectric properties obtained at x = 0.12. The ZnO-0.88TiO2-0.12SnO2 ceramics sintered at 900 °C exhibit a good dielectric property: ?r = 29 and tan δ = 9.86 × 10−5. Due to their good dielectric properties, low firing characteristics, ZnO-(1 − x)TiO2-xSnO2 (x = 0.04-0.2) can serve as the promising microwave dielectric capacitor.  相似文献

The (0 0 l) textured BaBi2(Nb1 − xVx)2O9 (where x = 0, 0.03, 0.07, 0.1 and 0.13) ceramics were fabricated via the conventional melt-quenching technique followed by high temperature heat-treatment (800-1000 °C range). The influence of vanadium content and sintering temperature on the texture development and relative density were investigated. The samples corresponding to the composition x = 0.1 sintered at 1000 °C for 10 h exhibited the maximum orientation of about 67%. The Scanning electron microscopic studies revealed the presence of platy grains having the a-b planes perpendicular the pressing axis. The dielectric constant and the pyroelectric co-efficient values in the direction perpendicular to the pressing axis were higher. The anisotropy in the dielectric constant is about 100 (at 100 kHz) at the dielectric maximum temperature and anisotropy in the pyroelectric co-efficient is about 50 μC cm−2 °C−1 in the vicinity of pyroelectric anomaly for the sample corresponding to the composition x = 0.1 sintered at 1000 °C. Higher values of the dielectric loss and electrical conductivity were observed in the direction perpendicular to the pressing axis which is attributed to the high oxygen ion conduction in the a-b planes.  相似文献

The effects of B2O3 addition, as a sintering agent, on the sintering behavior, microstructure and microwave dielectric properties of the 11Li2O-3Nb2O5-12TiO2 (LNT) ceramics have been investigated. With the low-level doping of B2O3 (≤2 wt.%), the sintering temperature of the LNT ceramic could be effectively reduced to 900 °C. The B2O3-doped LNT ceramics are also composed of Li2TiO3ss and “M-phase” phases. No other phase could be observed in the 0.5-2 wt.% B2O3-doped ceramics sintered at 840-920 °C. The addition of B2O3 induced no obvious degradation in the microwave dielectric properties but increased the τf values. Typically, the 0.5 wt.% B2O3-doped ceramics sintered at 900 °C have better microwave dielectric properties of ?r = 49.2, Q × f = 8839 GHz, τf = 57.6 ppm/°C, which suggest that the ceramics could be applied in multilayer microwave devices requiring low sintering temperatures.  相似文献

Microwave dielectric ceramics in the Sr1−xCaxLa4Ti5O17 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1) composition series were prepared through a solid state mixed oxide route. All the compositions formed single phase ceramics within the detection limit of in-house X-ray diffraction when sintered in the temperature range 1450-1580 °C. Theoretical density and molar volume decreased due to the substitution of Ca2+ for Sr2+ which was associated with a decrease in the dielectric constant (?r) and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) but an increase in quality factor, Qfo. Optimum properties were achieved for Sr0.4Ca0.6La4Ti5O17 which exhibited, ?r ∼ 53.7, Qfo ∼ 11,532 GHz and τf ∼ −1.4 ppm/°C.  相似文献

(1 − x)Ba(Zn1/3Ta2/3)O3-xBaTi4O9 (0.1 ≤ x ≤ 0.85) composites are prepared by mixing 1150 °C-calcined BaTi4O9 with 1150 °C-calcined Ba(Zn1/3Ta2/3)O3 powders. The crystal structure, microwave dielectric properties and sinterabilites of the (1 − x)Ba(Zn1/3Ta2/3)O3-xBaTi4O9 ceramics have been investigated. X-ray diffraction patterns reveal that BaTi4O9, ordered and disordered Ba(Zn1/3Ta2/3)O3 phases exist independently over the whole compositional range. The sintering temperatures of (1 − x)Ba(Zn1/3Ta2/3)O3-xBaTi4O9 ceramics are about 1240 - 1320 °C and obviously lower than those of Ba(Zn1/3Ta2/3)O3 ceramics. The dielectric constants (?r) and the temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) of (1 − x)Ba(Zn1/3Ta2/3)O3-xBaTi4O9 ceramics increase with the increase of BaTi4O9 content. Nevertheless, the bulk densities and the quality values (Q × f) of (1 − x)Ba(Zn1/3Ta2/3)O3-xBaTi4O9 ceramics increase with the increase of Ba(Zn1/3Ta2/3)O3 content. The results are attributed to the higher density and quality value of Ba(Zn1/3Ta2/3)O3 ceramics, the better grain growth, and the densification of sintered specimens added a small BaTi4O9 content. The (1 − x)Ba(Zn1/3Ta2/3)O3-xBaTi4O9 ceramic with x = 0.1 sintered at 1320 °C exhibits a ?r value of 31.5, a maximum Q × f value of 68500 GHz and a minimum τf value of 4.1 ppm/°C.  相似文献

10 mol% Pb(Fe1/2Nb1/2)O3 (PFN) modified Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbZr0.52Ti0.48O3 (PMN-PZT) relaxor ferroelectric ceramics with compositions of (0.9 − x)PMN-0.1PFN-xPZT (x = 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.8 and 0.9) were prepared. X-ray diffraction investigations indicated that as-prepared ceramics were of pure perovskite phase and the sample with composition of x = 0.8 was close to morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) between rhombohedral and tetragonal phase. Dielectric properties of the as-prepared ceramics were measured, and the Curie temperature (Tc) increased sharply with increasing PZT content and could be higher than 300 °C around morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) area. At 1 kHz, the sample with composition of x = 0.1 had the largest room temperature dielectric constant ?r = 3519 and maximum dielectric constant ?m = 20,475 at Tm, while the sample with composition of x = 0.3 possessed the maximum dielectric relaxor factor of γ = 1.94. The largest d33 = 318 pC/N could be obtained from as-prepared ceramics at x = 0.9. The maximum remnant polarization (Pr = 28.3 μC/cm2) was obtained from as-prepared ceramics at x = 0.4.  相似文献

Microwave dielectric ceramics of Ba5Nb4−xVxO15 (x = 0-1) were prepared by a solid-state reaction method. Vanadium substitution can markedly lower the sintering temperature of Ba5Nb4O15 from 1450 to 1100 °C. The X-ray powder diffraction analysis reveals the multiphase nature of this system. A hexagonal-to-orthorhombic phase transition was also observed for the BaNb2O6 secondary phase. The microwave dielectric properties, such as τf, εr and Q × f value, decreased with increasing vanadium content for samples sintered at 1100 °C. There was an apparent increase in τf and Q × f value for samples (x ≥ 0.5) sintered at 1200 °C due to the hexagonal-to-orthorhombic phase transition of the BaNb2O6 phase. These results suggested that the microwave dielectric properties of multiphase ceramics strongly depended on the phase compositions and the phase transitions.  相似文献

The effects of CuO-V2O5 addition on the sintering temperature and microwave dielectric properties of ZnO-Nb2O5-TiO2-SnO2 were investigated. The CuO-V2O5 addition lowered the sintering temperature of ZnO-Nb2O5-TiO2-SnO2 ceramics effectively from 1150 to 860 °C due to the liquid-phase effect of Cu2V2O7 and Cu3(VO4)2, as observed by XRD. The microwave dielectric properties were found to strongly correlate with the sintering temperature and the amount of CuO-V2O5 addition. The maximum Qf values decreased with increasing CuO-V2O5 content, due to the formation of the second phase, Cu3(VO4)2 and CuNbO3. Zero τf value can be obtained by properly adjusting the sintering temperature. At 860 °C, ZnO-Nb2O5-TiO2-SnO2 ceramics with 1.5 wt.% CuO-V2O5 gave excellent microwave dielectric properties: ?r = 42.3, Qf = 9000 GHz and τf = 8 ppm/°C.  相似文献

Ba8Zn(Nb6−xSbx)O24 (x = 0, 0.3, 0.6, 0.9, 1.2, 1.5, 1.8 and 2.4) ceramics were prepared through the conventional solid-state route. The materials were calcined at 1250 °C and sintered in the range 1400-1425 °C. The structure of the system was analyzed by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared and Raman spectroscopic methods. The theoretical and experimental densities were calculated. The microstructure of the sintered pellets was analyzed using scanning electron microscopy. The low frequency dielectric properties were studied in the frequency range 50 Hz-2 MHz. The dielectric constant (?r), temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) and the unloaded quality factor (Qu) are measured in the microwave frequency region using cavity resonator method. The τf values of the samples reduced considerably with the increase in Sb concentration. The materials have intense emission lines in the visible region. The compositions have good microwave dielectric properties and photoluminescence and hence are suitable for dielectric resonator and ceramic laser applications.  相似文献

Stoichiometric lead magnesium niobate, Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 (PMN), perovskite ceramics produced by reaction-sintering process were investigated. Without calcination, a mixture of PbO, Nb2O5, and Mg(NO3)2 was pressed and sintered directly. Stoichiometric PMN ceramics of 100% perovskite phase were obtained for 1, 2, and 4 h sintering at 1250 and 1270 °C. PMN ceramics with density 8.09 g/cm3 (99.5% of theoretical density 8.13 g/cm3) and Kmax 19,900 under 1 kHz were obtained.  相似文献

The effect of CaO-SiO2-B2O3 (CSB) glass addition on the sintering temperature and dielectric properties of BaxSmyTi7O20 ceramics has been investigated using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and differential thermal analysis. The CSB glass starts to melt at about 970 °C, and a small amount of CSB glass addition to BaxSmyTi7O20 ceramics can greatly decrease the sintering temperature from about 1350 to about 1260 °C, which is attributed to the formation of liquid phase. It is found that the dielectric properties of BaxSmyTi7O20 ceramics are dependent on the amount of CSB glass and the microstructures of sintered samples. The product with 5 wt% CSB glass sintered at 1260 °C is optimal in these samples based on the microstructure and the properties of sintering product, when the major phases of this material are BaSm2Ti4O12 and BaTi4O9. The material possesses excellent dielectric properties: ?r = 61, tan δ = 1.5 × 10−4 at 10 GHz, temperature coefficient of dielectric constant is −75 × 10−6 °C−1.  相似文献

Oxides of the type, Sr3Zn1−xMgxNb2O9 (0≤x≤1) have been obtained by the ceramic method. These oxides crystallize in the hexagonal cell corresponding to ordered triple perovskites. Sintered disks show nearly frequency-independent dielectric constant for all the compositions. Compositions sintered at 1425°C yield dielectric constant of 20-22 at ∼6 GHz, with quality factor ranging from 1300 to 1500. Sr3Zn0.5Mg0.5Nb2O9 shows a very low temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) of +4 ppm/°C.  相似文献

The Ba3ZnTa2O9 (BZT) and Ba3MgTa2O9 (BMT) ceramics, a family of A3B2+B5+2O9 complex perovskites, are extensively utilized in mobile based technologies due to their intrinsic high unloaded quality factor, high dielectric constant and a low (near-zero) resonant frequency temperature coefficient at microwave frequencies. The preparation conditions as well as size and nature of B cations have a profound effect on the final dielectric properties. In this article, we report the effect of Nb5+ at the Ta5+ site on the BMT structure prepared at four synthesis temperatures (1300, 1400, 1500 and 1600 °C). The analysis has been carried out using the Rietveld technique on the X-ray powder diffraction data. Results suggest that both the preparation temperatures and Nb5+ content have significant effect on the ordering of B cations in the Ba3Mg(Ta1−xNbx)2O9 solid solution. A disordered (cubic) structure is preferred by the 1300 °C compounds. The weight percentage of the ordered (trigonal) phase escalates, for a given composition, with increasing calcination temperature. A fully ordered trigonal arrangement exists only for x = 0.0 and 0.2 compounds calcined at 1600 °C, and the rest are biphasic (cubic and trigonal). The increase in the cubic fraction upon Nb5+ augmentation suggests that the solid solution leans more toward the disordered structural arrangement of B2+ and B5+ cations.  相似文献

The effects of B2O3 addition on the microwave dielectric properties and the microstructures of (1−x)LaAlO3-xSrTiO3 ceramics prepared by conventional solid-state routes have been investigated. Doping with 0.25 wt.% B2O3 can effectively promote the densification and the microwave dielectric properties of (1−x)LaAlO3-xSrTiO3 ceramics. It is found that LaAlO3-SrTiO3 ceramics can be sintered at 1400°C due to the liquid phase effect of a B2O3 addition observed by scanning electronic microscopy (SEM). The dielectric constant as well as the Q×f value decreases with increasing B2O3 content. At 1460°C, 0.46LaAlO3-0.54SrTiO3 ceramics with 0.25 wt.% B2O3 addition possesses a dielectric constant (εr) of 35, a Q×f value of 38,000 (at 7 GHz) and a temperature coefficients of resonant frequency (τf) of −1 ppm/°C.  相似文献

High dielectric constant and low loss ceramics in the system Ba2 − xSrxLa3Ti3NbO15 (x = 0-1) have been prepared by conventional solid-state ceramic route. Ba2 − xSrxLa3Ti3NbO15 solid solutions adopted A5B4O15 cation-deficient hexagonal perovskite structure for all compositions. The materials were characterized at microwave frequencies. They show a linear variation of dielectric properties with the value of x. Their dielectric constant varies from 48.34 to 43.03, quality factor Qu × f from 20,291 to 39,088 GHz and temperature variation of resonant frequency from 8 to 1.39 ppm/°C as the value of x increases. These low loss ceramics might be used for dielectric resonator (DR) applications.  相似文献

The phases, microstructure and microwave dielectric properties of ZnTiNb2O8 ceramics with BaCu(B2O5) additions prepared by solid-state reaction method have been investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The pure ZnTiNb2O8 ceramic shows a high sintering temperature of about 1250 °C. However, it was found that the addition of BaCu(B2O5) lowered the sintering temperature of ZnTiNb2O8 ceramics from above 1250 °C to 950 °C due to the BCB liquid-phase. The results showed that the microwave dielectric properties were strongly dependent on densification, crystalline phases and grain size. Addition of 3 wt% BCB in ZnTiNb2O8 ceramics sintered at 950 °C afforded excellent dielectric properties of ?r = 32.56, Q × f = 20,100 GHz (f = 5.128 GHz) and τf = −64.87 ppm/°C. These represent very promising candidates for LTCC dielectric materials.  相似文献

Oxides belonging to the families Ba3ZnTa2−xNbxO9 and Ba3MgTa2−xNbxO9 were synthesized by the solid state reaction route. Sintering temperatures of 1300°C led to oxides with disordered (cubic) perovskite structure. However, on sintering at 1425°C hexagonally ordered structures were obtained for Ba3MgTa2−xNbxO9 over the entire range (0≤x≤1) of composition, while for Ba3ZnTa2−xNbxO9 the ordered structure exists in a limited range (0≤x≤0.5). The dielectric constant is close to 30 for the Ba3ZnTa2−xNbxO9 family of oxides while the Mg analogues have lower dielectric constant of ∼18 in the range 50 Hz to 500 kHz. At microwave frequencies (5-7 GHz) dielectric constant increases with increase in niobium concentration (22-26) for Ba3ZnTa2−xNbxO9; for Ba3MgTa2−xNbxO9 it varies between 12 and 14. The “Zn” compounds have much higher quality factors and lower temperature coefficient of resonant frequency compared to the “Mg” analogues.  相似文献
