With a total length of 773 m and a main span of 335 m the bridge is the largest cable‐stayed bridge under construction in Germany. Flag plate connections – application and calculation. Flag plates are best suited for beam connections. They provide advantages for both prefabrication and assemblage. These advantages have to be paid by higher effort for structural calculation of the member forces and the flag plates. The type of flag plate connections presented here is almost unknown in the available literature. Therefore, we discuss general thoughts and suggest a structural calculation which is sufficient to be presented to the proof engineer. The latter considers besides shear, bending and torsion the theory of panels, local buckling of slender plates as well as the correct assumption of hinges. Zentrum Paul Klee – designing the museum‐wave. The wave shaped roof is the most impressive part of the “Zentrum Paul Klee” in Bern, designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop. The design process and special geometry of the new museum centre is described as well as the realisation of the structure in response to the architect's design ideas. The second Stelasund crossty – Structural design and erction of the composite and cable‐stayed bridge. Together with the construction of the new Baltic autobahn A 20 Lübeck – Stettin the Rügen feeder “B 96 n Stralsund/Rügen”, approx 55 km long, between the A 20 in the region of Grimmen and the town of Bergen on Rügen is also being realised. With the construction of the new “B 96 n Stralsund/Rügen” Rügen feeder an effective transport link between the largest German island, Rügen, and the German and European long‐distance road network is being implemented. An essential component of the whole building project is the second Strelasund crossing between the town of Stralsund and the island of Rügen. The main structure of the 2.8 km long bridge design is configured as a stayed cable bridge.  相似文献

Construction, Calculation and economical Advantages of frame Construction for a Bridge There are substantial advantages in choosing a frame construction for a bridge. In particular, low building and maintenance costs as well as an attractive appearance could be highlighted. These advantages are illustrated by means of several examples. Furthermore, calculation and construction details are discussed.
