The implicit four-point scheme for solving unsteady shallow water equations was tested for rapidly varied flow conditions, generated by a hydropower station. A microcomputer version of FORTRAN code was developed and implemented for the family of IBM PC and compativle computers. Results of numerical experiments were compared with observed water level elevations recorded during one weekly period during operation of the hydropower facility.  相似文献

Simulations based on physiologic modeling have been used for over twenty years to clarify the pharmacokinetics of inhaled anesthetics. We describe ANSIM, an anesthesia simulator for the IBM PC. ANSIM uses established modeling techniques to create a life-like anesthesia simulator. ANSIM is useful as an educational tool for demonstrating classic concepts of uptake and distribution of inhaled anesthetics.  相似文献

The widespread use of IBM personal computers in biomedical research and medical practice is evidenced by a variety of journal articles. Many of the application programs are written in the BASIC language, they model a stochastic process, and they depend on the Microsoft random number generator. Unfortunately, the Microsoft generator has exhibited a number of flaws including, for some seeds, a lack of uniformity of generated sequences of numbers, and serial correlation within such sequences. This paper provides evidence of these problems for several seeds, and provides suggestions for acceptable seeds which ensure that the generated sequences of numbers pass two fundamental statistical tests for randomness.  相似文献

With the development of ‘expert’ or ‘knowledgeåsed’ systems, the efforts of artificial intelligence research have attained commercial application. While there have been to date, only a few investigations concerning the extent of this transfer, assessment of the extent of manufacturing applications has been mostly the result of speculation. By means of a comprehensive survey of documented systems in the USA, UK and FRG, the state-of-the-art of production applications of knowledge-based systems is described. Detailed discussion i is made of reasons leading to computer assistance and integrated solutions. Computer-assisted technological s systems are reviewed under their specific task areas — that is, construction and design, production planning, production control, production of parts, quality assurance, assembly, maintenance and customer service. This paper introduces a methodology to solve a multi-stage production planning problem having multiple objectives, which are conflicting, non-commensurable and fuzzy in nature. The production process consists of multiple stages having one or more machines in each stage. Every processing stage produces work-in-process, semi-finished items as an output, which becomes an input to the subsequent stage either fully or partially depending on the cycle times of the machines. Events of machine breakdowns and imbalances in input–output relations in one or more stages may affect both work-in-process (WIP) and final production targets. Our paper provides a methodology based on fuzzy logic to maintain the desired balanced input–output relation at each stage and the targeted production output at the final stage. This is done by procurement of work-in-process inventory (WIP) and installation of new machines at appropriate stages. The objectives or goals expressed in linguistic terms are represented as fuzzy sets. The Induced Ordered Weighted Averaging (IOWA) operator is used to aggregate the objectives as per their priorities and finally to formulate the production process as a Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) problem. The solution to MIP shows the degrees of achievements of the production process objectives. The methodology is illustrated with a real life application of crankshaft productions in an automobile industry.  相似文献
