CAD和CAPP系统的集成一直是一个研究中的难题,其原因在于由于信息表达的不一致,使CAPP系统需要针对不同的CAD系统设计专门的信息提取模块,而对于CAPP下游来说,CAM也不能利用全部的产品设计和工艺信息。STEP标准作为CAD系统的输出,可以为OAPP系统提取信息提供一个统一的接口。而STEP—NC作为新一代数控标准,继承了STEP标准的属性,可以作为CAD/CAPP/CAM/CNC集成的桥梁。应用STEP中性文件,CAPP提取产品的制造特征和加工工步,生成工艺文件,并以STEP—NC中性文件形式输出,便于后续CAM和CNC系统的调用,从而达到CAD/CAPP/CAM/CNC信息集成的目的。  相似文献

It is important for a feature-based system to preserve feature integrity during feature operation, especially when feature interaction occurs. The paper presents a feature conversion approach to convert design features used in a design model into machining features for the downstream applications. This process includes both form features (geometric information) and non-geometric features conversion. Most researchers have concentrated on geometric information extraction and conversion without tackling the important problem of non-geometric feature information. This paper focuses on the extraction and conversion of feature geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) for downstream machining application.The main barrier to the integration of a feature-based CAD/CAPP/CAM system – feature interaction – is discussed in this paper, which alters design features in their geometries and non-geometric information. How to identify and validate these feature dimensions and tolerances is one of the key issues in feature interaction conversion. The development of robust methodologies for preserving feature integrity for use in process planning application is the main thrust of the work reported in this paper.  相似文献

提出了中介信息元的概念,利用零件的几何面在CAD和CAPP系统中的一致性,为零件模型的几何构造了信息对象模型来作为形位公差,表面粗糙度,加工基准等非几何信息的载体,为解决单纯以特征为非几何信息载体时无法实现上述信息从CAD系统向CAPP系统的完整传递的问题提出了一种可行的方法。根据CAD系统传递的零件几何信息以及中介信息元库中保存的非几何信息,CAPP系统就能够实现制造特征的识别,加工方法的推理,加工余量推算,工序图生成等模块,使CAD/CAPP的真正集成成为可能。  相似文献

Computer-aided process planning (CAPP) is one of the key components in computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) environment. Fully automatic CAPP systems require information transfer between CAD/CAM systems to be mutual, dynamic, concurrent, automatic and efficient. The difficulty in achieving this is the management of the vast amount of heterogeneous data, knowledge and complicated inference processes encountered in developing automatic planning systems. The objective of the reported research is to develop a framework for modelling and managing engineering product and manufacturing capability information in an integrated feature-based CAD/knowledge-based process planning environment. The feature-based design system is developed with a commercial boundary representation (Brep) solid modeller with additional feature-modelling functions. The process planning system is developed using a knowledge-based system, which is fully integrated with the design system through an information mapping mechanism. Process planning decisions are made by searching for a match between the product requirements and the process capability of available manufacturing systems. This is achieved by invoking the rules coded in an inferencing mechanism (an inference engine). Both the underlying methodologies and the implementation aspects will be addressed in this paper.  相似文献

Currently, most CAD systems, even the feature-based design systems which were developed for CAPP, cannot provide exact information about an object (e.g. dimensions and tolerances). Some feature-based design systems can provide product data directly or indirectly; however, most CAPP systems still do not have an interface with CAD systems. The product data required by CAPP systems usually has a specific format which is unique to the system. In a CAPP system, it is essential for set-up planning to ensure the precision of the machining processes. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an interface with CAD models, so that the part data file can be obtained directly from the CAD representation. This paper proposes an approach for integrating the set-up planning system with a feature-based CAD system. By using an object-oriented approach – Product Data Translator (PDT), the computer-automated extraction of geometry and complete tolerance information was achieved; and the automated generation of the tool approach direction was developed. This paper presents a case-based reasoning (CBR) methodology for computer-aided process planning (CAPP) for multi-stage, non-axisymmetric sheet metal deep drawing. The methodology addresses the indexing and retrieval of process planning cases. Planning cases are indexed via a feature-based representation of deep drawn parts. Efficient case retrieval is achieved by a feature-based similarity analysis between a new deep drawn part and existing parts in the case library. An illustrative example is included to demonstrate the operation of the proposed approach and show its effectiveness in speeding up CAPP for multi-stage non-axisymmetric deep drawing.
