In multiuser cooperative relay networks, cooperative diversity can be obtained with the help of relays, while multiuser diversity is an inherent diversity in multiuser systems. In this letter, the performance analysis of multiuser diversity in cooperative multi-relay networks is presented. Both the case of all relay participating and the case of relay selection are considered. We first derive asymptotic expressions of outage probability and symbol error probability for amplify-and-forward (AF) and decode-and-forward (DF) protocols with joint multiuser and cooperative diversity. Then, the theoretical analysis are validated by Monte Carlo simulations. Both the theoretical analysis and simulations show that a multiuser diversity order of K and a cooperative diversity order of M+ 1 can be achieved simultaneously for both AF and DF protocols (where K is the number of accessing users and M is the number of available relays). These demonstrate that the multiuser diversity can be readily combined with the cooperative diversity in multiuser cooperative relay networks.  相似文献

The impact of multiuser diversity on space-time block coding   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
In this letter, analytic performance results are derived for space-time block coding paired with multiuser diversity. We consider a scenario in which K active data users, each of which is potentially equipped with multiple antenna elements, are served by a multi-antenna element base station (BS). We focus on the downlink channel, where a space-time block coding scheme is employed and assume that channel quality information is reported to the BS by all users on a per frame basis. Using a scoring function at the BS, time resources are allocated to the user with the best instantaneous effective signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), facilitating a multiuser diversity mechanism. Using order statistics, we compute histograms and cumulative distribution functions of the effective SNR at the space-time combiner output and assess the interaction between multiuser diversity obtained via scheduling and spatial diversity obtained via the space-time code.  相似文献

We propose a new strategy for cooperative transmit diversity based on superposition modulation and multiuser detection. The new scheme can outperform "classical" cooperative diversity based on decode-and-forward by about 1.5-2 dB in the SNR range of interest and at the same computational complexity.  相似文献

Mitigation of multipath fading effects and suppression of multiuser interference (MUI) constitute major challenges in the design of wide-band third-generation wireless mobile systems. Space-time (ST) coding offers an effective transmit-antenna diversity technique to combat fading, but most existing ST coding schemes assume flat fading channels that may not be valid for wide-band communications. Single-user ST coded orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing transmissions over frequency-selective channels suffer from finite-impulse response channel nulls (fades). Especially multiuser ST block-coded transmissions through (perhaps unknown) multipath present unique challenges in suppressing not only MUI but also intersymbol/chip interference. In this paper, we design ST multiuser transceivers suitable for coping with frequency-selective multipath channels (downlink or uplink). Relying on symbol blocking and a single-receive antenna, ST block codes are derived and MUI is eliminated without destroying the orthogonality of ST block codes. The system is shown capable of providing transmit diversity while guaranteeing symbol recovery in multiuser environments, regardless of unknown multipath. Unlike existing approaches, the mobile does not need to know the channel of other users. In addition to decoding simplicity, analytic evaluation and corroborating simulations reveal its flexibility and performance merits  相似文献

In this paper, a framework is presented to analyze the performance of multiuser diversity (MUD) in multiuser point-to-multipoint (PMP) MIMO systems with antenna selection. Based on this framework, the tight closed-form expressions of outage capacity and average symbol error rate are derived for the multiuser transmit antenna selection with maximal-ratio combining (TAS/MRC) system, by which we show how and with what characteristics antenna selection gains, MIMO antenna configurations and fading gains impact on the system performance, with an emphasis on the study of multiuser diversity influence. From both theoretical and simulation results, our study shows that in multiuser PMP TAS/MRC systems an diversity order equals to the product of the number of transmit antennas, number of receive antennas and number of users can be achieved; what's more, users plays a key role in the system performance and can be viewed as equivalent 'virtual" transmit antennas, which is the source of the multiuser diversity inherent exists in the multiuser system. This kind of diversity can be efficiently extracted in the design of multiantenna systems.  相似文献

In this paper, we examine the uplink of a cooperative CDMA network, where users cooperate by relaying each other's messages to the base station. When spreading waveforms are not orthogonal, multiple access interference (MAI) exists at the relays and the destination, causing cooperative diversity gains to diminish. To address this issue, we adopt the multiuser detection (MUD) technique to mitigate MAI in achieving the full advantages of cooperation. Specifically, the relay-assisted decorrelating multiuser detector (RAD-MUD) is proposed to separate interfering signals at the destination with the help of preceding at the relays along with pre-whitening at the destination. Unlike the conventional zero-forcing (ZF) precoder or the decorrelating MUD, the proposed RAD-MUD experiences neither power expansion at the relays nor noise amplification at the destination. Three cooperative transmission strategies are considered on top of RAD-MUD; namely, transmit beamforming, selective relaying and distributed space-time coding. Since the reliability of each source-relay and/or relay-destination links are different, relay transmissions are weighted accordingly in our schemes to further combat MAI. The advantages of RAD-MUD over ZF precoding and other existing cooperative MUD schemes are shown through computer simulations.  相似文献

This letter studies the diversity advantage of single and multiuser systems utilizing multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antennas for known channels at the transmitter and receiver(s) by investigating the overall distribution of the resulting channel. For the single-user case, the resultant channel is taken as the largest singular value of the MIMO channel whereas for the multiuser scenario, the resultant channel is obtained by a recently proposed joint-channel diagonalization. The channel distribution is studied using hypothesis testing with the hypothesis that the distribution follows a Nakagami-m distribution with given parameters. It is concluded from the chi-square goodness-of-fit test that the distribution of the resultant channel for single or multiuser MIMO channel is well matched with a Nakagami-m distribution.  相似文献

 本文提出了一种基于最佳中继的多用户协作频谱感知方案,通过认知无线电网络中多用户间的相互协作,可以获得明显的空间分集增益,从而改善认知用户的检测性能.针对所提出的多用户协作感知方案,在瑞利衰落环境下分析了相应的系统检测概率,同时也理论推导了传统非协作方案的感知性能.根据检测概率的解析式,对非协作方案和多用户协作方案,进行了相应的数值实验和性能比较.与非协作感知方案相比,多用户协作方案能够显著提高主用户的检测概率.此外,随着候选中继用户数目增加,多用户协作方案对主用户检测概率的改善量越加明显.  相似文献

为了提高无线传感器网络的能量有效性,该文在分析基于分簇的传统方案和协作分集数据传输方案的能量效率基础上,提出了一维传感器网络分簇多用户分集数据传送方案(CMDDTS)。理论分析表明能量开销依赖于数据融合比、簇内通信的发送功率、簇间通信的接收功率以及电路消耗的功率和簇内传感器的数目,仿真结果验证了所提方案的能量效率优于传统方案和协作分集数据传送方案。  相似文献

在多天线多用户无线通信系统中,可以利用用户之间彼此独立的随机衰落信道的特点,结合随机波束成型技术,或者空间分集技术,或者天线选择技术,获得多用户分集增益。然而不同多用户分集方案的系统性能不尽相同。该文分析了在多输入单输出(MISO)信道中目前几种典型的多用户分集方案的性能,给出系统吞吐率的定量表达式,并综合比较了不同用户数和不同天线数对各种多用户分集方案性能的影响,为实际多天线多用户系统设计提供了有益的参考。  相似文献

Multiuser diversity is an inherent form of diversity present in any time-varying system with several users. An opportunistic scheduler has to be used in order to exploit this type of diversity. A scheme that increases the effective dynamic range of the channel by deploying multiple antennas at the transmitter is called opportunistic beamforming. Opportunistic beamforming increases the degree of multiuser diversity in several scenarios, including correlated channels. Nevertheless, multiuser diversity can also be combined with other transmit schemes that have proven to be effective in correlated channels, such as eigenbeamforming. Eigenbeamforming is a point-to-point link transmit technique that could easily be combined with an opportunistic scheduler to extract multiuser diversity. We refer to the joint use of eigenbeamforming with an opportunistic scheduler as opportunistic eigenbeamforming. In this work, we show that the available multiuser diversity with opportunistic eigenbeamforming is larger than the one achieved when opportunistic beamforming is employed using the proportional fair scheduler under different degrees of correlation in the channel. 为了克服分布估计算法早熟收敛的缺点,本文提出一种多样性增强分布估计算法并将其用于优化多用户检测问题。改进算法在传统分布估计算法基础上,增加多样性判定及增强操作,采用独立个体密度评价种群多样性,并在独立个体密度低于多样性判定阈值时,随机变异实现多样性增强,避免算法早熟收敛。同时为了防止多样性增强导致优秀个体被消耗的现象,采样过程加入精英保留策略。仿真结果表明,该检测技术具有较快收敛速度,能有效避免早熟收敛,成功找到全局最优检测矢量,可实现与最优多用户检测技术相近的性能。   相似文献

 本文研究在解码转发协作分集中的功率分配问题.本文首先建立了功率分配问题的数学模型,其能够在满足一定平均误比特率的前提下,使源节点和伙伴节点的发射功率之和最小化,从而不仅能够开发多用户无线系统所固有的空间分集能力,而且能够降低移动节点的能耗和网络中的同道干扰.本文还推导了伙伴节点和目的节点的平均误比特率公式,用于刻画在多径衰落中协作分集系统的性能.利用平均误比特率公式,本文提出了一种分布式的功率分配算法,能够使源节点、伙伴节点和目的节点逐个消息地计算最优的功率分配方案.本文所提出的算法不仅具有较小的控制协议开销,而且对信道状态的变化具有自适应能力.因此,该算法能够适应分布式的和动态的无线网络环境.最后,本文通过仿真验证了所提出的算法.  相似文献

In CDMA mobile communication systems, multiple access interference can be canceled by multiuser detection technique. The Degradation by channel fading can be reduced by diversity reception. This paper investigates a family of multiuser receivers that combined decor-relating detection, antenna diversity and RAKE multipath diversity. The performance of the multiuser receivers is analyzed. Orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) is an attractive technique for exploiting multiuser diversity in the downlink of a cellular system. This paper addresses three problems in multiuser diversity for OFDMA systems. First, we propose a way to significantly reduce the amount of channel state information (CSI) feedback without sacrificing performance too much, by selective and adaptive feedback. Second, we propose a way to increase the cell throughput and fairness by applying an opportunistic beamforming scheme to orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing. This beamforming scheme increases the frequency fading rate, which increases the multiuser diversity effect. Thirdly, we deal with the issue of fairness and quality-of-service (QoS) in opportunistic systems by proposing a modified proportional fair (PF) scheduler for OFDMA. Key features in the scheduler are that it incorporates QoS classes into the PF scheduler and that it has a tunable fairness level. Extensive simulation results are presented to evaluate the performance of the proposed schemes. The opportunistic beamforming scheme performed well in comparison with several other schemes. The modified PF scheduler was able to give users different QoS, based on their requirements, while still exploiting multiuser diversity  相似文献
