Time-dependent decay of the magnetic moment and magnetization measurements were used to study pinning and flux creep in two samples with and without aj(B) maximum in nonzero field (fishtail effect). From both measurements theE(j) relation was reconstructed forBc and the characteristic current exponent was obtained. At highj and lowB values are between 1 and 4; with increasingB passes a maximum and approaches negative values. At lowj is below 0.5 and not dependent onB orj. This behavior, which is qualitatively the same in both samples, is compared with proposed phase diagrams of the vortex lattice. Large values are correlated with the plateau of the normalized creep rateS 0.025; both observations indicate low relaxation and are found in that lowB region for whichj(B) has its minimum. This observation rejects a dominating influence of relaxation on the fishtail effect.  相似文献

Far from the lambda transition the critical flow of superfluid 4 He through a small orifice is determined by thermal nucleation of quantized vortices. Between 300 mK and 2 K linearly decreasing critical flow velocity has been observed earlier. As the temperature approaches T the size of the vortex core increases and becomes comparable to that of the orifice. We report here measurements of the critical mass current in this temperature range. An array of 24 3×0.17 m holes in parallel with a macroscopic parallel path and flexible-diaphragm Helmholtz resonator have been used. The temperature range explored was from 80 mK to 20 K below T. Preliminary analysis of the data shows that for a reduced temperature t=(T–T)/T1·10 4 the critical current scales approximately as t 1.25 . Closer to T the critical phase difference across the array becomes comparable to 2 and the results have to be analyzed in terms of Josephson effect. The superfluid density has been measured at the same time as the critical current.  相似文献

The kinetics of the crystal growth of calcium-deficient hydroxyapatites with different stoichiometry (Ca5-(HPO4)(PO4)3-(OH)1-) have been investigated at 37°C using the constant composition method. The growth was performed in solutions supersaturated only with respect to Ca5(PO4)3(OH) (HAp) by inoculating with well-characterized seed crystals. The stoichiometry of the grown apatites was consistent with values of 00.185. The deviation from HAp stoichiometry of the growing apatite increased with increasing supersaturation degree (S). The constant composition method also provides relevant information about the solubility behaviour of the growing phase with a definite composition. From the decrease of the normalized growth rate j with decreasing S, an estimate could be made of the composition of the solution for which the growth ceases. The determined solubility product of the grown apatite (4.28×10-54 M9) was higher than the value obtained by the equilibration of the seed material. The results were interpreted on the basis of differences in crystal lattice perfection.This paper was accepted for publication after the 1995 Conference of the European Society of Biomaterials, Oporto, Portugal, 10–13 September.  相似文献

The spin hydrodynamic equations for superfluid3He-B have been obtained for the case of external, time-dependent fields. On the basis of a microscopic approach, expressions are found for additional terms in equations containing these fields. Considering the linear response of the system to the switching on of external fields, formulas are found for suitable Green's functions (magnetization-magnetization, rotation-rotation, magnetization-rotation, rotation-magnetization). The rotation-rotation Green's function has the 1/q 2 singularity characteristic of superfluid systems. Connections between Green's functions lead to relations among kinetic coefficients v, 1, and 2. It is also shown that there is a conserved quantityQ (B) = div v s (B) that describes sources or magnetic type charges (monopoles) of the superfluid velocity v s (B) . Comparison with the phenomenological approach suggests thatQ (B) is proportional to a pseudoscalar giving the projection of the spin density onto the vector describing the axis of rotation.  相似文献

The relationship between striation spacing and fatigue crack propagation rate up to 70 m/cycle was investigated for a ductile structural steel, qualified as JIS SM58Q. A modified compact-type specimen 400 mm wide and a centre-cracked specimen 200 mm wide were tested at a stress ratio, R, of 0 and 0.8. The fracture surface of the specimen was examined in detail under a scanning electron microscope. The crack propagation rate was expressed by a power function of the range of stress intensity factor from 0.1 to 70 m/cycle for R=0 and to 0.5 m/cycle for R=0.8. The striation spacing coincided with the fatigue crack propagation rate over the range 0.1 to 70 m/cycle. The profile of striation was found to be a ridge and valley type, and the ridges on one fracture surface coincided with those on the matching surface. It is suggested that the striation is formed by a plastic blunting mechanism.  相似文献

We have observed an excess heat capacity in liquid and bcc solid 3He at low temperatures. The heat capacity in the normal fluid is found to be the sum of the heat capacity of bulk normal fluid and a temperature-independent heat capacity C due to amorphous solid layers on the silver sinter surface, where C=7.3±6.8 JK–1m–2 corresponds to 1.6±0.6 amorphous solid layers. The heat capacity for bcc solid 3He is the sum of the heat capacity originating from the multiple-exchange interaction and a temperature independent heat capacity. The excess heat capacity C=12.1±3.1 JK–1m–2 for bcc solid corresponds to 1.9±0.3 amorphous solid layers. Our result indicates that the amorphous solid layers on an amorphous substrate yield a universal C in unit area throughout liquid, solid and adsorbed 3He.  相似文献

We propose a 1-t1-2 pulse-NMR experiment to detect the spin-diffusion anisotropy, =D-D, in degenerate spin-polarized3He-4He mixtures, where D and dare the transverse and longitudinal spin diffusion coefficients. In such an experiment the nonlinearity of the dynamics produces multiple spin echoes (MSE). At the 3He concentration x3 4% the spinrotation parameter vanishes (M 0), so that the nonlinearity of the equations of motion is entirely due to the anisotropy. In this situation, detection of MSE amounts to observation of D. For slight anisotropy, i.e. D/D 0.25, we use a perturbation scheme similiar to that developed by Einzel et al. (in that case, for small M and small demagnetizing field) to calculate the second and third echo heights. For larger anisotropy we numerically calculate the echo heights. We find that for D/D = 0.5 the heights are 2 % of the first echo, and should be detectable. The (1, 2) tip-angle dependence of the D echoes is different from that of the M and demagnetization echoes, and furthermore, they occur at right angles to these echoes (in spin space). Thus, even when small spin-rotation and demagnetization effects are present, the 1-t1-2 experiment provides a sensitive means of detecting the anisotropy.  相似文献

The affect of substrate roughness and coating thickness on the corrosion resistance of electroless nickel coatings on mild steel in a 0.99M Na2SO4 + 0.01 M H2SO4 + 0.05M NaCl solution has been investigated using electrochemical techniques. The coating was electrochemically more active than pure nickel. The anodic polarization, corrosion potential, and corrosion current depend on the substrate roughness and coating thickness. The substrate roughness decreased for finishes in the order, as-ground, 240 grit, 600 grit, and 1 m diamond polish, but the corrosion current on relatively thin coatings decreased in the order 240 grit, as-ground, 600 grit, and 1 m diamond finish. The corrosion potential and the corrosion current of coatings more than about 10m thick were independent of the surface roughness and similar to those observed with pure nickel. The fraction porosity was estimated to be about 0.005 in a coating about 5 m thick on a 600 SiC grit substrate.  相似文献

Single-mode As–S glass fibers with a core diameter from 3 to 20 m and a clad diameter of 125 m are prepared by the double-crucible method. The cutoff wavelength of the fibers is 0.9–6 m. The lowest transmission losses in the fibers at 2.2–2.3 m are 100 dB/km, and their mean bending strength is 800–1000 MPa.  相似文献

Summary The similarity solutions for free convection on a vertical plate when the (non-dimensional) plate temperature is x and when the (non-dimensional) surface heat flux is –x are considered. Solutions valid for 1 and 1 are obtained. Further, for the first problem it is shown that there is a value 0, dependent on the Prandtl number, such that solutions of the similarity equations are possible only for >0, and for the second problem that solutions are possible only for >–1 (for all Prandtl numbers). In both cases the solutions becomes singular as 0 and as –1, and the natures of these singularities are discussed.  相似文献

We have used a low noise Scanning Hall Probe Microscope (SHPM) to study vortex structures in superconducting films. The microscope has high magnetic field (2.9×10–8T/Hz at 77K) and spatial resolution, 0.85m. Magnetic field profiles of single vortices in High Tc YBa2Cu3O7– thin films have been successfully measured and the microscopic penetration depth of the superconductor has been extracted as a function of temperature. Flux penetration into the superconductor has been imaged in real time (8s/frame).  相似文献

Summary The statical Reissner-Sagoci problem for nonhomogeneous transversely isotropic elastic half-space is investigated. Previous reports on the solubility of magnesium in -sialons have been conflicting. The present work shows conclusively that crystalline magnesium sialons with the silicon nitride structure do exist. They are formed by crystallization of magnesium sialon glasses at low temperatures. -magnesium sialon crystals nucleate on -sialon nuclei which are themselves formed by precipitation from Mg-Si-Al-O-N liquids at high temperatures. The current results suggest that -magnesium sialons exist only over a limited composition range within the 3M/4X plane of the Mg-Si-Al-O-N system, which is indicative of some form of ordering within the structure. Although the compositions investigated in the present study are unstable with respect to forsterite above about 1000° C, the possibility of producing -magnesium sialons which are stable at much higher temperatures cannot be fully discounted at present.  相似文献

The motion of finely dispersed particles is described statistically with the use of the Fokker-Planck equation. An expression is obtained for the particle distribution function with respect to residence time. Based on the assumption that a phase-slip center in a clean quasi-one-dimensional superconductor excites a collective oscillation, the time-averaged value of the electrochemical potential of quasiparticles is calculated. At larger distances from the phase-slip center, swings below (or above) the electrochemical potential p of the Cooper pairs. This makes it possible to understand the unexpected results of previous measurements.  相似文献

Barium titanate ultrafine particles were synthesized from amorphous titania by a hydrothermal method. The mean size of the barium titanate particles prepared at a hydrothermal treatment time of 4 h, was nearly equal to 0.04 5 m in the range of barium-to-titanium molar ratio (BT) 2, and approximately agreed well with the crystallite size. At a BT molar ratio of 1.0, the mean particle size increased to 0.2 m, while the crystallite size remained constant at 0.045 m. When the particle size ranged from 0.12–0.20 m, prepared for the BT molar ratio of 1.0–1.4, the specific dielectric constant for a sintered disc composed of these particles attained a value of 5000 or more. As the BT molar ratio increased to exceed 1.5, when the mean particle size decreased from 0.13 m to 0.045 m, the specific dielectric constant for the sintered disc was decreased greatly. The specific dielectric constant for the sintered disc can be correlated well with the size of the composing particles.  相似文献

The state of radiorhodium in liquid waste from processing of spent nuclear fuel was analyzed in detail by ESR and NMR spectroscopy on several nuclei. The most probable oxidation state of rhodium in nitric acid solutions is +3. Three procedures for preparing nitric acid solutions of rhodium were studied. The composition of Rh(III) complexes in these solutions is similar but not identical. The method for identifying the ionic composition of similar objects was proposed. The speciation of rhodium in nitric acid solutions with the acid concentration ranging from 2×10- 2 to 15 M was studied. Polynuclear oligomers with (-ONO2)2 bridges, mainly tetramers, are formed in solutions with CRh > 2 M, [NO3 -] 8 M, and [H+] 0.7 M. At CRh = (1-2)×10- 2, [NO3 -] = 1-4 M, and [H+] = 0.4-4 M, the (-OH, -ONO2) dimer and trimer prevail; at [NO3 -] < 1 M and [H+] < 0.2 M, the (-OH, -ONO2) dimer dominates. No Rh(III) aqua ion and no monomeric nitrate complexes were detected in the quasiequilibrium system at any concentrations of the components. In nitrate-nitrite solutions, both subnitrated (-OH, -ONO2) Rh(III) oligomers and mononuclear Rh(III) nitroaqua complexes exist. The equilibrium between these species is attained very slowly and depends on the equilibrium concentration of nitrite anion. Forecast was given on isolation of rhodium from nitric acid solutions of SNF by extraction, ion-exchange, electrolytic, and precipitation procedures.  相似文献

The thermal diffusivities of four kinds of metallic foils from 20 to 200m in thickness were measured by a photoacoustic method on the basis of the Rosencwaig and Gersho theory. The measured data for continuous foils of uniform microscopic structure almost agreed with the literature values. Measurements were also carried out on two kinds of metallic thin films with of 10m thickness produced by sputtering. The difference in thermal diffusivity between the foils and the sputtered films depended on the uniformity of the microscopic structure.  相似文献

The ratio of nuclear saturation magnetization and superconducting critical field, 0 M sat / B S0*, classifies the strength of mutual influence of nuclear magnetism and superconductivity. In order to investigate the interplay of both phenomena for the three distinct cases 1, 1, and 1 we have measured the ac susceptibility of Al, of the intermetallic compound AuIn 2 , and of the metal hydride TiH 2.07 at ultralow temperatures, 17 K T 1 K, as function of static field 0 B 15 mT. For Al, the interplay enables an absolute measurement of the nuclear magnetization. For AuIn 2 , we get a steep decrease of B S (T) and a broadening of the superconducting transition in its nuclear ferromagnetic phase. Surprisingly, the nuclear ferromagnetic state coexists with type-I superconductivity in AuIn 2. The metal hydride TiH 2.07 , which is under present investigation, is a good candidate to show reentrant superconductivity.  相似文献
