The general equations describing the flow of Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids in the gap of two calender rolls were simplified by making use of the lubrication approximation. The resulting equations were solved by the finite element method. The results are in excellent agreement with existing analytical solutions for Newtonian fluids. New results were obtained for pressure, velocity profiles and sheet thickness of non-Newtonian fluids for symmetric and asymmetric calendering (different roll diameters, different roll speeds). The solution of this problem demonstrated the great possibilities offered by the finite element method in solving Theological problems of practical significance, particularly whenever complicated wall boundaries or free surfaces are involved. 相似文献

以硅酸钠、硫酸锌、硫酸铝、壳聚糖为原料制备了PSAZ-CTS复合型絮凝剂,并对其制备条件进行优化。实验结果表明:当n(Al Zn)/n(Si)=1.0,n(Al)/n(Zn)=5,(Al Zn)与壳聚糖的质量比为4,反应温度为40℃,pH为1.4时,制备的PSAZ-CTS复合絮凝剂对于松花江江水净水效果良好,特别是能够处理低温松花江水。最后采用扫描电镜对PSAZ-CTS进行表征分析。 相似文献

A simplified technique for prediction of pressure distribution, velocity profiles, torque, and power requirements for the calendering of power-law fluids is presented. The technique assumes isothermal conditions, is based on the lubrication approximation and Gaskell's analysis, and uses melt flow index as the only temperature-dependent resin parameter for the prediction. Assuming that the compressible behavior of polymeric melt obeys the Spencer–Gilmore equation of state, the effect of melt compressibility on calendering process has been investigated. The compressible model is distinctly different from the incompressible model in three ways. (1) It has substantially lower maximum pressure, (2) the location having maximum pressure moves closer to the nip region; (3) the contact point shifts closer to the nip region. 相似文献
