A new architecture for bidirectional gigabit colorless wavelength division multiplexed-passive optical network system based on a reflective semiconductor optical amplifier is proposed. It uses techniques of both optical carrier suppression and subcarrier multiplexing. There is no impact of a downlink signal on an uplink one due to the wavelength reuse because a light from a single optical source is divided into two parts for uplink and downlink transmissions. One is modulated by a downlink signal and the other, which is transformed into two sidebands with a suppressed optical carrier, is utilized for an uplink transmission. An uplink data is recovered by subcarrier multiplexing technique. 1.25-Gb/s error-free transmissions of both uplink and downlink are demonstrated experimentally.  相似文献

为了克服光纤无线(ROF)系统中色散对光载波抑制(OCS)调制光毫米波信号传输的影响,提出一种改进的OCS调制方案。使用双驱动马赫-曾德尔调制器(MZM),通过调整两路输入射频信号相位、基带信号增益和直流偏置电压将2.5Gbit/s数据信号仅调制到(OCS)信号的一个边带上传输。理论分析表明,与传统OCS调制光毫米波信号产生方案相比,本文方案解决了色度色散引起的码元走离问题,大大增加了传输距离。仿真实验结果表明,经过110km光纤传输后信号的眼图仍然十分清晰,在BER=10-10条件下,信号经过20、40和60km光纤传输后的功率代价分别为0.78、1.7和1.9dB。  相似文献

We investigate a wavelength-division-multiplexing passive optical network (WDM-PON) with centralized lightwave and direct detection. The system is demonstrated for symmetric 10 Gbit/s differential phase-shift keying (DPSK) downstream signals and on-off keying (OOK) upstream signals, respectively. A wavelength reused scheme is employed to carry the upstream data by using a reflective semiconductor optical amplifier (RSOA) as an intensity modulator at the optical network unit (ONU). The constant-intensity property of the DPSK modulation format can keep high extinction ratio (ER) of downstream signal and reduce the crosstalk to the upstream signal. The bit error rate (BER) performance of our scheme shows that the proposed 10 Gbit/s symmetric WDM-PON can achieve error free transmission over 25-km-long fiber transmission with low power penalty.  相似文献

We experimentally demonstrate and analyze a 10 Gbit/s full duplex wavelength division multiplexing passive optical network (WDM-PON) system. A non-return-to-zero differential phase shift keying (NRZ-DPSK) modulation technique is first utilized for downlink direction, and then the downlink signal is re-modulated for the uplink direction using intensity modulation technique of on-off keying (OOK) with a data rate of 10 Gbit/s per channel. An effective colorless WDM-PON full duplex transmission system is achieved for the data rate of 10 Gbit/s per channel with a channel spacing of 60 GHz over the distance of 25 km with low power penalty.  相似文献

A predistortion linearization method using an envelope-feedback technique is proposed and implemented in this paper. This linearizer compensates the gain and phase nonlinearity of power amplifier (PA) simultaneously by controlling both variable attenuator and phase shifter with the feedback of only the difference signal between input and output envelopes. A new carrier cancellation scheme composed of a minimization circuit, log detector, and vector modulator is also presented. This circuit achieves adaptive control of the linearizer by enabling direct measurement of out-of-band power. It is well suited to a multichannel system where the allocated channels are time variant. The principle of the proposed linearizer is described and simple AM-AM distortion analysis is presented analytically and graphically based on the conceptual schematic diagram. A two-tone test for a class-A PA at 1.855 GHz with frequency spacing of 1 MHz showed intermodulation-distortion reduction of maximum 16 dB and stable operation over 5-dB output power variation up to 4-dB backoff from the saturation power level. The proposed linearizer is also applicable to class-AB PA's without further special adjustments. An embedded-modulation scheme is proposed for optical code division multiple access (CDMA). In this scheme, codewords in an asymmetric error-correcting (AEC) code is embedded in a signature sequence in an optical orthogonal code (OOC) used for identification. We classify the codewords of the AEC code according to the number of "1"s in each codeword, and then derive the bit error rate (BER) of the embedded-modulation scheme. Numerical results show that although the performance has the error floor, for achieving the floor value, the embedded-modulation scheme requires less optical energy per bit than the traditional modulation scheme with the correlation and chip-level receivers. The error floor is primarily due to multiaccess interference (MAI), we furthermore apply Reed-Solomon (RS) coding to the embedded-modulation scheme. We have experimentally demonstrated a full-duplex radio-over-fiber system using a single light source at central station (CS). Optical carrier suppression modulation scheme was employed to generate 40-GHz optical millimeter wave and up-convert the baseband signal simultaneously at CS for downlink transmission while the same optical carrier was reused at base station for uplink connection. The bidirectional full-duplex 2.5-Gb/s data was successfully transmitted over 40-km standard single-mode fiber (SMF-28) for both upstream and downstream channels with less than 2-dB power penalty. This system shows simple cost-efficient configuration and good performance over long-distance delivery.  相似文献

A new bidirectional wavelength division multiplexed-passive optical network architecture for colorless optical line terminal and optical network unit was proposed by the use of injection locking of Fabry–Perot laser diode and optical carrier suppression. Error free transmissions (bit error rate of 10?9) of both 1.25-Gb/s downstream signal and upstream signal were experimentally demonstrated at three representative wavelengths (1530.364, 1540.14, and 1556.713 nm). Accordingly, both optical line terminal and optical network unit were colorlessly operated within 25-nm range. Also, there was little impact of leaked channel on adjacent main one.  相似文献

The solution of carrier diffusion equations typically associated with semiconductor optical devices has been achieved by combining a function expansion scheme, using the Hermite-Gauss functions as the basis set, with the collocation numerical procedure. Results for a wide range of cases obtained by this new scheme compare very favorably with those calculated with other methods. Not only is the present process computationally fast and efficient, but it has the added attraction of providing the basis for conveniently solving also the nonlinear electromagnetic wave equation for the self-consistent modeling of such devices  相似文献

A new parallel processing uninterruptible power supply (UPS) configuration is proposed in this paper. It provides active power line conditioning to minimize mains current distortion. This performance is superior to a conventional UPS. A prototype has been implemented and tested to verify its performance. The experimental results show that the input power factor of the proposed UPS is nearly unity, and the total harmonic distortion (THD) of the input current under nonlinear loading is only 3.618% for a mains voltage with THD of 1.633%  相似文献

Adaptive notch filter resonance suppression scheme is widely used in high-performance servo drivers. For high-damping system, the deviation between resonant and oscillation frequency will cause a long sustained vibration in traditional suppression schemes, which may damage the precision machine irreparably. To reduce the harm of sustained vibration, a fast adaptive notch filter scheme based on range-shifted discrete Fourier transform (R-SDFT) is proposed. Different from the traditional scheme, the new one eliminates the deviation between resonant and oscillation frequency by notch filter other than the low-pass filter, which massively simplifies the suppression process and reduces the number of oscillation frequency detection required. Meanwhile, an oscillation detection method based on R-SDFT is presented to shorten the time of the detective process through interval detection and prediction strategy. Compared with the traditional strategy, the experimental results demonstrate that the proposed adaptive suppression scheme can reduce the oscillation time by more than half.  相似文献

针对有限大平台部署多种传感器导致的严重的自干扰问题,提出了一种应用遗传算法实现的阵列天线共址干扰抑制技术。首先针对同平台上的阵列天线和其他天线建立了辐射和接收模型,然后将辐射特性和接收机抗干扰特性分别抽象为最优化问题的目标函数和约束条件,最后通过遗传算法进行最优化求解。该技术在不同辐射角度时能抑制共址干扰,具有一定的工程实用价值。  相似文献

This paper considers interference suppression and multipath mitigation in Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSSs). In particular, a self-coherence anti-jamming scheme is introduced which relies on the unique structure of the coarse/acquisition (C/A) code of the satellite signals. Because of the repetition of the C/A-code within each navigation symbol, the satellite signals exhibit strong self-coherence between chip-rate samples separated by integer multiples of the spreading gain. The proposed scheme utilizes this inherent self-coherence property to excise interferers that have different temporal structures from that of the satellite signals. Using a multiantenna navigation receiver, the proposed approach obtains the optimal set of beamforming coefficients by maximizing the cross correlation between the output signal and a reference signal, which is generated from the received data. It is demonstrated that the proposed scheme can provide high gains toward all satellites in the field of view, while suppressing strong interferers. By imposing constraints on the beamformer, the proposed method is also capable of mitigating multipath that enters the receiver from or near the horizon. No knowledge of either the transmitted navigation symbols or the satellite positions is required.  相似文献
