The modern space era can greatly benefit from the rapidly growingmicroelectronics technologies in order to enable the ambitious exploratoryand commercial space endeavors of the new millennium. A smart sensor, analog/digital, integrated circuit, suitable for spacecraft avionics dataacquisition and control is presented. The Remote Input/Output (RIO) device isdeveloped by The Johns Hopkins University/Applied Physics Laboratory, for NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, to support many oncoming new millenniumspace missions. TRIO—the first version of RIO—is designed to interface totemperature, pressure, total radiation dose sensors, and generally to voltage/current transducers. The microchip includes front-end conditioningcircuitry, an ADC, memory, serial and CPU interface, and a digital port.Furthermore the device is developed to meet extreme space qualification specifications such as radiation effects. This versatile system-on-a-chipdevice is becoming a key enabling technology for new-generation NASA andCommercial spacecraft systems. Hybrid Sensor Calibration Scheme for Mobile Crowdsensing–Based City‐Scale Environmental Measurements
In this paper, we propose a hybrid sensor calibration scheme for mobile crowdsensing applications. As the number of newly produced mobile devices containing embedded sensors continues to rise, the potential to use mobile devices as a sensor data source increases. However, because mobile device sensors are generally of a lower performance and cost than dedicated sensors, sensor calibration is crucial. To enable more accurate measurements of natural phenomena through the use of mobile device sensors, we propose a hybrid sensor calibration scheme for such sensors; the scheme makes use of mobile device sensors and existing sensing infrastructure, such as weather stations, to obtain dense data. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme supports low mean square errors. As a practical application of our proposed scheme, we built a temperature map of a city using six mobile phone sensors and six reference sensors. Thanks to the mobility of the sensors and the proposed scheme, our map presents more detailed information than infrastructure‐based measurements. 相似文献

分析了智能天线阵列的工作原理,在智能天线实验平台上对阵列误差的校正算法进行了实验验证。通过与方位无关的校正矩阵校正之后,各阵元通道的复增益趋于一致,波达方向(DOA)估计精度也在误差允许范围之内。结果表明,这种阵列误差校正方法是行之有效的。 相似文献

Parameter variations cause unavoidable nonuniformitiesin Infra-Red Focal Plane Arrays and other integrated sensors.Since these nonuniformities change slowly with time, calibratingsensors one-time only is not suitable-much more frequentcalibration is required. We have developed an algorithm thatcontinually calibrates an array of sensors that contain gainand offset variations. This algorithm has been mapped to analoghardware and designed and fabricated with a 2um CMOS technology.Measured results from the chip show that the system achievesinvariance to gain and offset variations of the input signal. 相似文献

This paper illustrates a smart sensor system for carbonmonoxide detection. An innovative technological approach hasbeen pursued to fabricate gas sensors on silicon substrate, compatiblewith IC fabrication. A mixed analog-digital electronic interfaceprocesses the outputs of three sensors to compensate relativehumidity and interfering gases. 本文研究了一种埋入式MEMS(微电子机械系统)无线应变片性能的实验标定方法,通过引入一个当量应变片,遵照标准应变片的标定规定,本文设计了实用有效的实际标定步骤,分别对标准应变片和MEMS试样进行完全相同的拉伸实验,从而得到埋入MEMS应变片的应变片系数(灵敏度)为13,同时获得在实验试样的制作条件下,测量应变与实际应变之比为2。 相似文献
