A new high input impedance voltage-mode universal biquadratic filter with three input terminals and five output terminals is presented. The proposed circuit uses three plus-type differential difference current conveyors, two grounded resistors and two grounded capacitors. The proposed circuit can realize all the standard filter functions: lowpass, bandpass, highpass, notch and allpass, without component matching conditions. The proposed circuit offers the features of high input impedance, low active and passive sensitivities and the use of only grounded resistors and capacitors.  相似文献

Four new voltage-mode universal biquadratic filters each with one input terminal and five output terminals are presented. Each of the first two proposed circuits uses four plus-type second-generation current conveyors, two grounded capacitors and five resistors. The third proposed circuit employs two plus-type second-generation current conveyors, one differential voltage current conveyor, two grounded capacitors and five resistors. The fourth proposed circuit employs two multi-output second-generation current conveyors, two grounded capacitors and five resistors. Each of the proposed circuits can realize all the standard filter functions; highpass, bandpass, lowpass, notch and allpass, simultaneously, without changing the passive elements. The proposed circuits enjoy the features of orthogonal controllable of resonance angular frequencies and quality factors, using only grounded capacitors as well as low active and passive sensitivities. Jiun-Wei Horng was born in Tainan, Taiwan, Republic of China, in 1971. He received the B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from Chung Yuan Christian University, Chung-Li, in 1993, and the Ph.D. degree from National Taiwan University, Taipei, in 1997. From 1997 to 1999, he served as a Second-Lieutenant in China Army Force. From 1999 to 2000, he joined CHROMA ATE INC. where he worked in the area of video pattern generator technologies. From 2000 to 2005, he joined the Department of Electronic Engineering, Chung Yuan Christian University, Chung-Li, Taiwan as an Assistant Professor. Since 2005, he is an Associate Professor. His teaching and research interests are in the areas of Circuits and Systems, Analog and Digital Electronics, Active Filter Design and Current-Mode Signal Processing. Chun-Li Hou was born in Taipei, Taiwan, Republic of China, in 1951. He received the B.S. degree, M.S. degree, and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taipei, in 1974, 1976, and 1991, respectively. From 1977 to 1979, he taught as a lecture in Tamkang College. From 1981 to 1991, he taught as a lecture in the department of Electronic Engineering, Chung-Yuan Christian University, Chung, Taiwan. From 1992 until now, he taught there as an Associate Professor. His teaching and research interests are in the areas of Current-Mode Analog Circuit Analysis and Design, Active Network Synthesis Circuit theory and Applications. Chun-Ming Chang obtained his bachelor and master degrees, both in the field of electrical engineering, from National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, R.O. China, and his Ph.D. degree in the field of electronics and computer science from the University of Southampton, U.K. He had been an associate professor in Chung Yuan Christian University in Taiwan from 1985 to 1991, and has been a full professor in the same University since 1991. His research interest is divided by two relative fields, network synthesis before 1991 and analog circuit design after 1991. He had been a chairman of the electrical engineering department in Chung Yuan Christian University from 1995 to 1999. Recently, he was recommended for inclusion in The Contemporary Who's Who of Professionals 2004 Edition, and nominated by the Governing Board of Editors of the American Biographical Institute for the prestigious title MAN OF THE YEAR-2005, and became an Advisor of the ABI's distinguished RESEARCH BOARD OF ADVISORS due to the invention of Analytical Synthesis Method and OTA-Only-Without-C Circuits in the field of analog circuit design. Wen-Yaw Chung was born in Hsin-Chu, Taiwan, R.O.C., 1957. He received the B.S.E.E. and M.S. degrees from Chung Yuan Christian University, Chung Li, Taiwan, in 1979 and 1981 respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Mississippi State University, USA, in 1989. Subsequently, he joined the Advanced Microelectronics Division, Institute for Technology Development in Mississippi, where he was involved in the design of a bipolar optical data receiver. In 1990 he worked as a design manager for the Communication Product Division, United Microelectronics Corporation, Hsin-Chu, where he was involved in the design of analog CMOS data communication integrated circuits. Since 1991 he has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Chung Yuan Christian University. His research interests include mixed-signal VLSI design, biomedical IC applications, sensor and actuator interfacing for deep submicron VLSI electronics.  相似文献

A universal voltage-mode filter configuration employing a voltage differencing inverting buffered amplifier (VDIBA), two capacitors and a resistor is proposed. The presented structure can realize all the five standard biquadratic filters: low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, band-reject and all-pass, without changing the circuit topology. The proposed filter circuit also provides the following advantageous features, not available simultaneously in any of the single active element/device based universal biquad realizing all the five filter responses known earlier so far: (i) independent electronic tuning of natural angular frequency (ω 0) and bandwidth (BW), (ii) no requirement of any element matching condition or inversion of input signal(s) (as needed in most of the earlier reported structures), and (iii) low active and passive sensitivities. Moreover, even the internal structure of the new building block is possibly the simplest among all recently introduced new building blocks. The workability of the proposed filter has been confirmed by SPICE simulations using 0.18 μm technology.  相似文献

None of the previously reported voltage-mode universal biquad filters with three inputs and a single output offers either of the following two important advantages: (i) the use of only one active element and (ii) independent control of ω0 and ω0/Q. In this paper, a novel biquad filter, achieving both of these advantages, is presented. HSPICE simulation results using TSMC025 process and ±1.25 V supply voltages validate the theoretical predictions.  相似文献

This paper presents a possible usage of the voltage differencing transconductance amplifier (VDTA) for the design of an electronically tunable single-input five-output voltage-mode universal filter. The presented filter is constructed using two VDTAs, two capacitors and two resistors that are all grounded. The circuit simultaneously realizes lowpass (LP), bandpass (BP), highpass (HP), bandstop (BS) and allpass (AP) filtering responses, without changing the circuit topology. The circuit is capable of providing an independent electronic control of the natural angular frequency (ω 0) and the quality factor (Q) through the transconductance gains of the VDTAs. By simply adjusting the transconductance ratio, a high-Q filter can also be obtained. Because of the high-input impedance of the circuit, it is advantageous for cascade connection. To support the theoretical analysis, the properties of the designed filter have been verified by PSPICE simulation results.  相似文献

本文介绍了电流反馈放大器(CFA)的基本原理,用四个CFA和几个电阻、电容设计了一种三输入单输出的新的通用滤波器。这种滤波器在无需电阻电容匹配的情况下,能实现二阶的低通、带通、高通、带阻以及全通五种滤波功能。每种滤波功能的特征角频率ω0都能由接地电容调节,而品质因数Q可由接地电阻单独调节。该滤波器对有源和无源元件的灵敏度都不超过1。利用PSPICE软件对电路图进行了仿真,仿真结果与理论分析一致。  相似文献

Despite the extensive literature on current conveyor-based voltage-mode universal biquads with single input and multiple outputs, no filter circuit has been reported to simultaneously achieve all of the advantageous features: (i) employment of only two differential difference current conveyor (DDCC), (ii) employment only two grounded capacitors, (iii) employment only three resistors, (iv) simultaneously realize voltage-mode low-pass, band-pass, high-pass, notch and all-pass filter signals from the five output terminals, respectively, (v) orthogonal control of ω o and Q, (vi) low input impedance and can be cascadable (vii) no need to employ inverting type input signals, and (viii) no need to impose component choice except realizing the all-pass filter signal.  相似文献

In this paper two new voltage-mode (VM) universal filters employing three plus-type differential voltage current conveyors (DVCC+s) and grounded passive elements are presented. The first proposed filter is a single-input five-output (SIFO) circuit which can realize simultaneously all of the standard responses, i.e. low-pass (LP), band-pass (BP), high-pass (HP), all-pass (AP) and notch (NH) from the same configuration. The second proposed circuit is a three-input single-output (TISO) universal filter for realizing standard responses depending on the selection of the input signal from the same topology. Both of the proposed filters have the advantage of a high input impedance, which enables easy cascading to obtain higher order filters. The proposed filters are simulated using the SPICE program to verify the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

提出一种基于阶梯阻抗发夹谐振器的小型化微波低通滤波嚣,该滤波嚣仅由包含四节微带的阶梯阻抗发夹谐振器构成.设计结果表明,滤波器3dB通带从直流到2.8G,带内反射小于-20dB,带外抑制达到40dB.这种滤波器尺寸小,易制造,且具有陡峭的截止频率响应特性,可用于许多微波系统中.  相似文献
