In recent years, numerous studies have identified and explored issues related to web‐service‐oriented business process specifications, such as business process execution language (BPEL). In particular, business rules are an important cross‐cutting concern that should be distinguished from business process instances. In this paper, we present a rule‐based aspect oriented programming (AOP) framework where business rule aspects contained in business processes can be effectively separated and executed. This is achieved by using a mechanism of the business rule itself at the business rule engine instead of using existing programming language‐based AOP technologies. Through some illustrative examples, this work also introduces a method by which business rule aspects, separated through an external rule engine, can be represented and evaluated. We also demonstrate how they can be dynamically woven and executed by providing an implementation example which uses two open‐source‐based products, the Mandarax rules engine and Bexee BPEL engine.  相似文献

Business game can be used not only as an educational tool for the development of decision making ability, but also can be used for supporting the knowledge creation activity in organizations. In this paper, some conceptual considerations to meanings of the business game in the knowledge creation activity by using the knowledge creation theory and other related theories are given, and business game activity concept which refers to game play and development is proposed. Then focusing on the business game activity as an instantiation of the knowledge creation activity, and a Web based gaming activity support system based on the former system called YBG that enables us to play and develop many business games through the standard web browser is proposed. Business process redesign and improvement has become an increasingly attractive subject in the wider area of business process intelligence. Although there have been many attempts to establish a business process redesign framework, there is little work on the actual optimisation of business processes with given objectives. Furthermore, most of the attempts to optimise a business process are manual and do not involve a formal automated methodology. This paper proposes a process improvement approach for automated multi-objective optimisation of business processes. The proposed framework uses a generic business process model that is formally defined. The formal definition of business processes is necessary to ensure that the optimisation will take place in a clearly defined, repeatable and verifiable way. Multi-objectivity is expressed in terms of process cost and duration as two key objectives for any business process. The business process model is programmed and incorporated into a software optimisation platform where a selection of multi-objective optimisation algorithms can be applied to a business process design. This paper outlines a case study of business process design that is optimised by the state-of-the-art multi-objective optimisation algorithm NSGA2. The results indicate that, although business process optimisation is a highly constrained problem with fragmented search space, a number of alternative optimised business processes that meet the optimisation criteria can be produced. The paper also provides directions for future research in this area.  相似文献

An important principle in managing any business is ‘What can't be measured, can't be managed’. The complexity of businesses today means that in order to measure business performance one needs to perform considerable analysis of data gathered in vast quantities on a regular basis. Therefore data analysis is at the heart of decision making in all business applications. There is, however, a significant degree of manual intervention in preparing, presenting and analysing business data. Recent advances in intelligent software technology have produced a number of novel techniques to model the human decision-making process. Data analysis tools have in the past been used by businesses mainly as a reactive tool. The pace of change and increased competition means that those businesses that can turn data into information and then into action quickly will have a better chance to survive and out-manoeuvre their rivals. This requires a fundamental change in the way data is used in the enterprise, from a reactive manner to a proactive one. The implications of recent changes can be significant on the level of skilled resources required as well as the cost of such operations. Intelligent software can play an important role in automating the analysis process and up-skill the business users. In this paper we will describe the intelligent business analytics (IBA) platform and two applications developed using it. The paper will focus on soft computing as an emerging technology suitable for incorporation into business analytics applications to model hidden patterns in data and to explain such patterns automatically. Operational risk is a function of the complexity of the business and the environment that the business operates in. Such complexities increase as the business or the environment become more dynamic, i.e. where change is a permanent feature and a factor to build into the management of the business. The key question that arises is how do businesses respond to such changes today and, if the nature of the business and the environment is becoming more and more dynamic, what actions can businesses take to predict and prepare for change. Viewed in this manner, operational risk becomes very closely related to the operational performance of the enterprise because it can be considered as dealing with changes that have a negative impact on the operational objectives. It is vital for enterprises to understand in real time how they are performing, and where on the spectrum of operational risk they are positioned. To accomplish this, it is essential to have a system for establishing the status of a business at any moment in time in relation to its performance objectives. This is the role of real-time business intelligence (RTBI), without which operational risk management could be out of date, or in some cases out of synchronisation with the business cycle, with serious consequences. This paper discusses the cornerstones of RTBI and demonstrates how these are also essential elements of an effective operational risk management framework.  相似文献

This paper presents a formal framework for representing enterprise knowledge. The concepts of our framework (objectives and goals, roles and actors, actions and processes, responsibilities and constraints) allow business analysts to capture knowledge about an enterprise in a way that is both intuitive and mathematically formal. It also outlines the basic steps of a methodology that allows business analysts to go from high-level enterprise objectives, to detailed and formal specifications of business processes that can be enacted to realise these objectives. The formal language used means that the specifications can be verified as having certain correctness properties, e.g. that responsibilities assigned to roles are fulfilled, and constraints are maintained as a result of process execution.  相似文献

The full integration of digital media as a commonly available data type for business applications causes a major transition in computing infrastructure and solution architectures. While many corporate uses of digital media can be handled with the current infrastructure, as the amount and file size of the digital media grows, more than simple capacity improvements need to be implemented. The business needs for media are concrete; the problems we need to address are real. Our community needs to find real solutions too, for high-level semantic analysis, provisioning and management of mixed-media information, and distribution and delivery of media data to satisfy requirements dictated by business scenarios. The paper describe a few scenarios that show how corporations are using digital media to enhance their employee and customer communications, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes, and create new business and revenue opportunities.  相似文献

随着大数据时代的到来,传统电信运营商也加入到大数据业务开展的庞大阵营中来。固网DPI系统采集到的HTTP等信息为运营商开展对内、对外的大数据业务提供了重要数据支撑。 由于DPI采集信息中含有大量的垃圾数据,在使用数据前对其进行清洗是非常必要的。文章提出一种针对电信运营商固网HTTP信息的清洗方案,经过现网试点部署验证可到80%以上的清洗率,大大节省了存储空间和网络传输带宽,对运营商开展固网大数据业务具有重要的借鉴意义。  相似文献
