随着计算机性能和仿真技术的提高,计算机仿真技术得到越来越广泛的运用.OPNET是一种具有高可靠度的网络建模、设计、仿真和分析工具.文中主要介绍了基于OPNET建立的UMTS仿真平台,并基于该平台研究了UMTS网络典型业务端到端的关键性能参数,以及根据业务服务质量的需求提供不同等级服务的可行性.仿真结果表明,该系统级仿真平台对UMTS系统的性能分析是有效的,为网络的规划设计提供客观、可靠的定量依据.  相似文献

在WDM光网络中,在给定一组连接请求后,需要为之建立路由并分配波长,这被称为路由和波长分配问题(RWA)。由于当前光网络中的业务呈现爆炸式的增长,而光网络中的可用资源却是有限的,因此如何使用合理的RWA算法来优化网络资源的利用就显得尤为重要。目前已有很多文献提出了基于各种优化目标的RWA算法,也都通计算机仿真的方法测试和评估了算法的性能。计算机仿真是进行算法性能评估的主要手段,但是关于算法仿真的实现,—般的文献都涉及的很少,本文主要研究了WDM光网络中动态RWA算法计算机枋真的实现。  相似文献

Recent empirical studies of the real traffic measurement show that the traditional traffic models cannot capture the character of long-range dependence of the traffic. And many computer simulations said that this character has large influences on the network performance. So fractal or self-similar models are more suitable to describe the modern traffic. But there is still little known about the performance of the multiplexer under self-similar traffic. In this paper, a quasi-self-similar traffic model (QSSP) is proposed. Using this model, the upper bond of the cell loss rate and multiplexing gain of the multiplexer are gotten when there are N i.i.d. QSSP inputs. If the sources have different parameters, an efficient numerical algorithm to get, this bond is proposed. Simulations indicate that our analysis is correct and accurate.  相似文献

In an all-optical wide area network, some network nodes may handle heavier volumes of traffic. It is desirable to allocate more full-range wavelength converters (FWCs) to these nodes, so that the FWCs can be fully utilized to resolve wavelength conflict. We propose a set of algorithms for allocating FWCs in all-optical networks. We adopt the simulation-based optimization approach, in which we collect utilization statistics of FWCs from computer simulations and then perform optimization to allocate the FWCs. Therefore, our algorithms are widely applicable and they are not restricted to any particular model or assumption. We have conducted extensive computer simulations on regular and irregular networks under both uniform and nonuniform traffic. Compared with the best existing allocation, the results show that our algorithms can significantly reduce: (1) the overall blocking probability (i.e., better mean quality of service) and (2) the maximum of the blocking probabilities experienced at all the source nodes (i.e., better fairness). Equivalently, for a given performance requirement on blocking probability, our algorithms can significantly reduce the number of FWCs required  相似文献

Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) technology is an attractive solution to meet the demand of broadband network access anywhere and anytime. In order to effectively support delay-sensitive applications such as video streaming and interactive gaming in a WMN, it is crucial to develop feasible methodologies and techniques for accurately analyzing, predicting and guaranteeing end-to-end delay performance over multi-hop wireless communication paths. In this paper, we extend the link-layer effective capacity model and derive a lower bound of delay-bound violation probability, or complementary cumulative distribution function, over multi-hop wireless connections. A fluid traffic model with cross traffic and a Rayleigh fading channel with additive Gaussian noise and Doppler spectrum are considered in our study. The average multi-hop delay and jitter performance bounds are also obtained. Analytical results are verified by extensive computer simulations under different traffic load and wireless channel conditions. We find that multi-hop delay performance is much more sensitive to traffic load and maximum Doppler rate than traffic correlation.  相似文献

In this study, we investigate the performance of optical packet/burst switched (OPS/OBS) architectures connected as mesh and as ring topologies for future optical metropolitan networks. Network throughput and protection to link failure under uniform traffic distribution for all nodes are investigated to evaluate the sensitivity of OPS/OBSN performance. Our data are based on analytic results and computer simulations that include a comparison between various mesh and ring topologies. We also consider detailed traffic distributions over the network links and the impact caused by failure of more or less loaded links, thus providing a method to select links that require protection, which can be very useful in network planning.  相似文献

本文提出了具有组合的窗口接入和线群输出结构的输入缓冲ATM交换网络并对其性能进行了研究通过概率生成函数方法得到了计算该交换网络最大吞吐率,平均信元时延和信元丢失率的封闭表达式,并通过计算机模拟实验验证了理论分析的精确性,研究结果表明,在随机均匀业务下,当窗口尺寸和输出群尺寸分别为4和16时,最大吞吐率可达到99%。  相似文献
