The total specific heat of YBa2Cu3O6.95 single crystals includes contributions from phonons and spin-1/2 particles, as well as electronic contributions. The electronic specific heat is described by a quadratic term T2 in zero field and a linear term [(0)+(H)]T which is increased when a magnetic field H is applied perpendicular to the CuO2 planes. In agreement with d-wave superconductivity, we find that n/Tc and (H)n(H/Hc2)1/2, where n is the coefficient of the normal-state linear term. The H1/2 dependence of the density of states at the Fermi level was predicted by G. Volovik for lines of nodes in the gap: the quasiparticles which contribute to this density of states are close to the nodes in momentum space and are located outside the vortex core.  相似文献

Icosahedral T2 phases can form either by solid-state precipitation or during solidification in Al-Li-Cu-Mg alloys. The T2 phase forming during solidification can transform to an R phase at high annealing temperatures. The T2 phase forming by solid-state precipitation coexists with the Y phase, which has a face-centred cubic (f.c.c.) structure with lattice parameter a2.0 nm and can form microtwins with the twin plane of (111). The orientation relationships between the C phase and the T2 phase are: i¯5Y0 1 1, Y1 1 3; i¯3Y1 1 1, Y1 2 3, Y1 1 5; Y2 3 5; i2Y0 1 1, Y1 1 1, Y1 1 2, Y1 1 3, Y1 1 5.  相似文献

The nature of the B-site cation ordering and the associated defect process necessary to stabilize the ordered domains were investigated using the WO3-doped BaMg1/3Ta2/3O3 BMT system as a typical example of BaB1/3B2/3O3-type complex perovskites. It was shown that only the 1 : 2 long-range ordering of the B-site cation existed in both undoped and WO3-doped BMT perovskites. The atomic defect mechanism associated with the stoichiometric 1 : 2 long-range ordering was systematically investigated. It is concluded that the substitution of W6+ for Ta5+ in the WO3-doped BMT enhances the degree of the 1 : 2 long-range ordering and produces the positively charged W Ta sites with a concomitant generation of tantalum vacancies VTa and mobile oxygen vacancies V O for the ionic charge compensation.  相似文献

Experiments on a torsional oscillator containing a slab of liquid3He of thickness 105 µm and diameter 8.38 mm are described. Normal phase experiments confirm the theory of the oscillator dynamics but an apparent descrase in the measured value of T 2 at lowT casts doubt on the existing slip theory. Measurements for the uniform texture for the A phase give values of s and 44. The s measurements suggest that the A-phase energy gap is enhanced by a factor 1.24 over the BCS value. Distortion of the uniform texture by a magnetic field perpendicular to the slab occurs at a threshold field slightly smaller than predicted. Measurements for fields at different angles to the slab enable accurate values to be deduced for the superfluid density anisotropy and two other viscosity coefficients. The remaining two viscosity coefficients are only poorly determined. Flow alignment of the orbital texture was achieved by increasing the oscillator amplitude. A different texture obtained on some occasions after warming from the B phase was investigated but is not understood.  相似文献

We report a systematic experimental study of the anomalous nonlinear magnetotransport in the Wigner solid (WS) trapped on a liquid4He surface. The ac Corbino conductivity xx exhibits an abrupt jump at a certain driving voltage. The threshold input voltage Vth for the xx jump varies as Vth B–0.8 –1 n1.5 sE, where B, , ns, and E are magnetic field, frequency, electron density and pressing electric field, respectively. We interpret the xx jump as the transition between the WS accompanied with the periodic 4He surface deformation and the WS which decouples from the surface, due to the large driving force. A simple model is presented: The rigid-potential sliding model qualitatively explains the above mentioned behaviors of Vth. We have found that the dependences of xx on B and E are different from those of the liquid phase. The anomalous behaviors of xx play a crucial role on the sliding model.  相似文献

Using a Unicam 19 cm high temperature powder camera, the precision lattice parameters of tellurium dioxide have been determined at different temperatures in the range 30 to 461 °C. Using this data, the coefficients of thermal expansion, and parallel and perpendicular to the principal axis respectively, have been evaluated. The temperature dependence of the coefficients of thermal expansion is represented by the following equations: =29.673×10–6+1.552sx10–8 T+1.069sx10–10 T 2 =9.875sx10–6–5.440sx10–9 T+4.572sx 10–12 T2 HereT is the temperature in °C. The thermal expansion of tellurium dioxide has been explained in terms of the interionic distances.  相似文献

Quantum transport of surface electrons over liquid helium in magnetic field   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The magnetoconductivity xx of surface electrons over liquid helium at electron densities (1–9) × 108 cm–2 is measured at temperatures down to 0.5 K and magnetic fields H up to 25 kOe. xx is shown to decrease with increasing H. For rather high temperatures and low magnetic fields dependence xx –1 on H displays a classical behavior, but as the temperature is reduced or H is increased, a transition to the quantum magnetotransport regime occurs. It is shown that xx decreases at lowering temperature, passes through a minimum and then slightly increases in the region of electron-ripplon scattering. The measured data are in good agreement with the theoretical results taking into account the preferable contribution of electron scattering on ripplons with wavelength near magnetic length. At the region of electron crystal xx is weakly dependent on T. At low magnetic field xx –1 increases with H linearly and, at H>17kOe, xx –1 ~ H 1.5.  相似文献

The thermal conductivity of compressed exfoliated graphite was measured in the directions parallel (K ) and normal (K ) to the rolling plane, in the temperature range of 0.2–3 K. The temperature dependence was determined in both cases. ForK=aT b in the temperature range of 0.2–0.7 K we get values forb of 0.95 forK and 1.6 forK ; in the range 0.7–2 K we get 1.6 forK and 2.1 forK ; and in the range 2–3 K we get 1.9 forK . TheK temperature dependence forT<0.7 K is smaller than what would be expected. ForK , evaluations of lattice and electronic contributions show that below 0.7 K the thermal conductivity is basically electronic. Above 2 K, where results are found in the literature, our data are in good agreement with them.  相似文献

A newly developed fatigue method of determining the value of the J-integral at crack initiation, J 1C, was tested on single-edge-notch-tension (SENT) specimens of a high-density polyethylene (HDPE). The fatigue method is able to propagate plane-strain brittle cracks in thin specimens which more closely approximate the in-use thickness, and hence the in-use morphology, of the polymer. This newly developed fatigue method was compared to ASTM standard procedure E813 (the ASTM method), which employs thick single-edge-notch-bend (SENB) specimens. Because of the similar size and shape of the crack-tip damage zone, the J 1C values for both methods were nearly identical (J 1C=1.8 kJ m–2, 1.4 kJ m–2 for the ASTM method and fatigue method, respectively).  相似文献

The thermal shock resistance of miniaturized multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCs), of sizes 0402, 0603, 0805 and 1206, was investigated by comparing the leakage currents before and after thermal shock. It was generally found that smaller capacitors have a higher thermal shock resistance than larger ones. The 0402 MLC possesses a thermal shock resistance in excess of 420 C. The linear interdependence of thermal shock resistance and reciprocal of half thickness, as predicted by conventional thermal shock analysis, was not observed. Instead, the thermal shock resistance of an MLC was found to be inversely proportional to the total area of its ceramic surface. This confirms that pre-existing flaws on the ceramic surface dominate the crack initiation process and are therefore primarily responsible for determining the thermal shock resistance of an MLC.  相似文献

Single crystals of chromium disilicide about 8 mm in diameter and 35 mm long were grown using the floating zone technique. Measurements of electrical resistivity , Hall coefficient R and thermoelectric power were carried out in the temperature range from 85 to 1100 K. The values of and showed the anisotropy over the temperature range studied. The ratios parallel and perpendicular to the c-axis were / =1.9 and /=1.7 respectively, at room temperature. It was found to be a degenerate semiconductor having the hole concentration of 6.3×1020 cm–3 below 600 K. The effective masses of holes parallel and perpendicular to the c-axis determined from the thermoelectric power and the hole concentration near room temperature were estimated to be five and three times as large as a free electron mass, respectively. The calculation on the values of and was made using those effective masses. These values showed good agreement with the observed values in the temperature range from 150 to 1100 K.  相似文献

The effects of grain-boundary configuration on the high-temperature creep strength are investigated using commercial cobalt-base L-605 alloys with low carbon content in the temperature range 816 to 1038° C (1500 to 1900° F). Serrated grain boundaries are formed principally by the precipitation of tungsten-rich b c c phase (the same as 2 phase found in Ni-20Cr-20W alloys) on grain boundaries by a relatively simple heat treatment in these alloys. The creep rupture properties are improved by strengthening of grain boundaries by the precipitation of tungsten-rich bcc (2) phase. The specimens with serrated grain boundaries have longer rupture lives and higher ductility than those with normal straight grain boundaries under low stress and high-temperature creep conditions, while the rupture lives and the creep ductility of both specimens are almost the same under high stresses below 927° C. The matrix of the alloys is strengthened by the precipitation of carbides at temperatures below 927° C and by the precipitation of tungsten-rich 2 phase at 1038° C during creep. It is found that there is an orientation relationship between tungsten-rich a2 phase particles and-Co matrix, such that (0 1 1)2 ¶ (1 1 1) -Co and [1 1]2 ¶ [1 0] -Co. The fracture surface of specimens with serrated grain boundaries is a ductile grain-boundary fracture surface, while typical grain-boundary facets prevailed in specimens with straight grain boundaries.  相似文献

Vortex lattice melting in the Hc configuration of an YBa 2 Cu 3 O 6.94 single crystal has been investigated by means of the ac susceptibility – i and the magnetic torque . The melting transition of vortex lattice occurs in Hc, too. Since the torque curve shows a sharp peak in the irreversible torque at c 90° due to intrinsic pinning at lower temperatures, we can determine the irreversibility line for the intrinsic pinning. The melting transition in the Hc configuration appears at temperatures where the intrinsic-pinning peak is absent. We consider that the intrinsic pinning does not affect the nature of the vortex melting transition in the Hc configuration.  相似文献

The Gibbs' energies of formation of BaCuO2, Y2Cu2O5 and Y2BaCuO5 from component oxides have been measured using solid state galvanic cells incorporating CaF2 as the solid electrolyte under pure oxygen at a pressure of 1.01×105 Pa BaO + CuO BaCuO2 G f,ox o (± 0.3) (kJ mol–1)=–63.4–0.0525T(K) Y2O3 + 2CuO Y2Cu2O2 G f,ox o (± 0.3) (kJ mol–1)=18.47–0.0219T(K) Y2O3 + BaO + CuO Y2BaCuO5 G f,ox o (± 0.7) (kJ mol–1)=–72.5–0.0793T(K) Because the superconducting compound YBa2Cu3O7– coexists with any two of the phases CuO, BaCuO2 and Y2BaCuO5, the data on BaCuO2 and Y2BaCuO5 obtained in this study provide the basis for the evaluation of the Gibbs' energy of formation of the 1-2-3 compound at high temperatures.  相似文献
