In this paper a new floating inductance simulator employing only active elements is proposed. The proposed circuit uses one internally compensated operational amplifier and one dual output current controlled conveyor (CCCII). The simulated inductance value can be controlled electronically by adjusting the bias current of the CCCII. No component matching constraints are imposed for the simulator and all active sensitivities are low. The performance of the circuit is demonstrated on a fourth-order elliptic filter using a SPICE simulation program  相似文献

A new design for an electronically tunable floating resistor is proposed. The proposed circuit can be realized as a positive or negative resistor without changing the circuit topology, and can be tuned electronically. Simulation results are obtained to show adequate agreement with theory.  相似文献

A novel floating inductance simulator, based on second generation current conveyors, is presented. The circuit shows the capability of regulation and, in theory, cancellation of the undesired inductance series resistance, with consequent increase in the low frequency operating range. A simple modification of the time-multiplexed active filter allows the transfer function to be electronically tuned. The method is to allow the switched memoryless active subnetwork to be multiplexed in such a way that a variable time slot is allocated to each stage of the filter. Electronic variation of this time slot achieves a corresponding tuning of the transfer function. In terms of circuitry, a simple modification to the logic drive circuitry is required to make tuning possible.  相似文献

A novel current mode MOSFET-only structure with multi-input single-output (MISO) is proposed. The proposed circuit is free from passive circuit elements like resistors and capacitors and able to realize low-pass (LP), band-pass (BP), high-pass (HP), band-stop (BS) and all-pass (AP) filter functions with using the same circuit configuration. It is also important to note that the proposed filter has electronic tunability property. The proposed circuit is laid-out in the Cadence environment using 0.18 µm TSMC CMOS technology parameters. The layout area is only 408 μm2 and the power consumption is about 0.6 mW. Furthermore, to investigate the performance of the BP filter output of the proposed MISO filter, Monte Carlo and corner analyses are also presented. It is shown that the mismatches and the process variations cause only small deviations for the BP filter configuration. Furthermore, the noise performance of the proposed filter is also investigated.  相似文献

In this paper a new grounded capacitance multiplier based on DXCCII suitable for operation at low and moderate frequencies is presented. The proposed circuit employs only a single dual-X second-generation current conveyor (DXCCII) active device, used as a voltage amplifier with two NMOS transistors operating in triode region, cooperating with a floating capacitor. The realized equivalent capacitance obtained from Miller multiplication of the reference capacitor and its multiplication factor is electronically tunable. Simulation results using AMS 0.35 μm CMOS process technology parameters are included. Functionality of the proposed circuit is verified through its application in a Gm-C second-order low-pass filter.  相似文献

The current-controlled second order multifunctional filter is described. It uses only three current controlled conveyors and two grounded capacitors. Three types of current transfers, highpass, bandpass, and lowpass, can be acheived simultaneously and both ω0, and Q are electronically adjustable. This paper presents a realization of current-mode active-only filter. The proposed filter is constructed employing operational amplifiers and operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs). The circuit can realize biquadratic transfer function, and the circuit characteristics can be electronically tuned through adjusting the transconductance gains of the OTAs. An example is given together with simulated result by PSPICE. The circuit configuration is very suitable for implementation in both bipolar or CMOS technologies.  相似文献

A new technique for CMOS class-AB output stages is introduced in this Letter. The technique uses a master–slave configuration of a complementary common-source output stage. It offers the advantage that the quiescent and minimum currents of the output stage can be independently tuned. The effectiveness of the proposed technique was verified by simulations using a standard n-well 0.18 μm CMOS process with 1 V supply voltage. A voltage buffer, that includes the proposed output stage, is able to drive a capacitive load of 0.5 nF obtaining −63 dB total harmonic distortion. The topology features also power efficiency of about 63% for a pure resistive output load equal to 50 Ω.  相似文献

A novel electronically tunable versatile voltage-mode universal biquad filter by using two single-output-operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs), one differential difference current conveyor (DDCC) and two capacitors is proposed. The proposed circuit, which can be used as either a four-input single-output universal filter or a single-input three-output multifunction filter with the same topology. Two circuits containing only two operational amplifiers, one capacitor, and several resistors for simulating a lossless floating inductance are presented. The Q-value of several hundreds is easily obtained using these circuits. Experimental values agree well with the theoretical results.  相似文献

A coplanar waveguide (CPW)-slotline bandpass filter is described. The circuit allows planar integration of active and passive semiconductor devices both in series and in shunt. A microstrip-to-slotline transition designed to test the filter is also described. Two of the transitions exhibit an insertion loss of less than 1.0 dB over the 2.0-4.0-GHz range. A three-section CPW-slotline bandpass filter demonstrates an insertion loss of less than 0.2 dB over the passband centered at 2.9 GHz. A three-section CPW-slotline switchable bandpass filter integrated with three p-i-n diodes is discussed. It has a 0.7-dB insertion loss in the passband when the p-i-n diodes are off and a 25.0-dB isolation across the entire band when the p-i-n diodes are on. A three-section CPW-slotline varactor-tunable filter integrated with three varactor diodes is presented, showing a 2.0-dB insertion loss and over 20% electronic tuning range.
