The paper focuses on a modular approach to design of a communication protocol and an MPEG-like standard for multimedia information processing. Generally, the following basic problems can be considered: (i) selection, (ii) composition, and (iii) combinatorial evolution and forecasting. Here, the composition problem is examined. The ZigBee Protocol for wireless sensor networks is studied as an example for the modular design. A generalized MPEG-like standard is considered as a representative example as well. Morphological (modular) system design is used for composition of the elements (components) of the protocol/standard. The solving process is based on Hierarchical Morphological Multicriteria Design (HMMD): (i) multicriteria selection of alternatives for system components, (ii) synthesis of the selected alternatives into a resultant combination. Numerical examples illustrate the design process.  相似文献

The paper describes a framework for synthesis of a composite system (packaged software) on the basis of interconnected system components when the components and their interconnection (compatibility) are evaluated upon ordinal coordinated scales. Hierarchical multicriteria morphological design is used including generation of design alternatives (DAs) for system components and their combining into the target system while taking into account weighted interconnectibility among DAs. This composition problem is based on building a morphological clique. Composite decisions are analyzed by a quality vector which involves the ordinal effectiveness of components and their interconnection. A numerical example demonstrates the hierarchical design (integration) of the system, improvement of obtained design decisions, and multistage design.  相似文献

In this paper, we examine design issues relevant to the implementation of a data link layer of a home automation system based on the Electronics Industries Association (EIA) Consumer Electronics Bus (CEBus). The hardware and software components of the system are described along with several techniques that enhance the performance of the system, allow for a faster implementation using off-the-shelf components and provide low overhead. The proposed design has been incorporated into a basic home automation system (BHAS) that is used as a testbed for alternative technologies and algorithms.  相似文献

The Internet of thing (IoT) emerges as a possible solution to realize a smart life in the modern age. In this article, we design and realize a novel near field communication (NFC)-driven smart home system for IoT, which integrates the wireless sensor network (WSN), social networks, and the cloud computing. NFC technology provides a way for users to exchange information between them and the system by simply contacting. So, we propose to use NFC as the system drive in the architecture, such that users can intuitively interact with the system and deliver their intentions. Then, the corresponding service over the system will control or adjust the things at home to fit users' needs. Furthermore, the proposed system provides a platform for developers to easily and rapidly implement their smart home related services. In the system, WSN sensing and control, NFC communications and identification, user profile management and preference analysis, and social network integration are all provided as platform services. We will show how the system works for home automation, intruder detection, and social network sharing.  相似文献

本文根据智能家居系统的特点和要求,介绍了我们研发的自动化测试平台。在此平台基础上,提出了基于Python脚本层次化的架构设计方法,并通过搭建智能家居中具体的门磁开关业务,进行了测试用例分析,验证了智能家居业务的功能和可靠性测试。通过Python语法编写而成的测试方法,具有良好的描述能力,并且产生的测试方法易于维护,该方法对于开展智能家居业务测试具有重要意义。  相似文献

Smart home automation provides residents with relief and convenience in everyday life and allows for self-determined aging in place. Yet, market penetration is offset by user concerns related to privacy and trust issues: With increasing system complexity, users may perceive a loss of control and fear technical unreliability. While barriers to acceptance in terms of privacy and trust are well understood when considered separately, they are hardly investigated in conjunction so far. We conducted a quantitative study using Adaptive Choice-Based Conjoint Analysis via an online questionnaire. We explored how aspects of privacy and trust determine the willingness to use smart homes from the perspective of (future) users (n = 137, 18 to 64 years of age), and also with respect to the level of automation and application field. Results show that semi-automated systems are rather preferred than fully automated smart home technology. The perceived reliability of automation is the most important acceptance determinant, followed by the location of data storage. Whereas the awareness to use (e.g., recommendations), the type of data, and application field are less important factors for the overall willingness to use smart homes. Findings inform scientists in the field of human-automation interaction and technical developers of smart home automation for technology innovation adapted to user needs.  相似文献

Embedded systems in field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) can be customized and adaptive if assembled from modular components at run time. This paper examines realizing run-time system assembly by extension of platform-based design. Two major challenges are addressed in this paper. First, the design of a reconfigurable platform architecture suitable for run-time system assembly is described. Different systems are constructed by integrating the platform architecture with different modular components, which employ the communication infrastructure supplied by the platform in order to interact. Second, where on-chip communications channels use shared media, we propose techniques for modeling the intermodule communication behavior based on statistical time-division multiplexing. The proposed techniques enable system designers to guarantee that logical communication requirements between the adjunct modules can be satisfied by the infrastructure. An in-depth analysis is presented and then verified with cycle-accurate simulations for an example reconfigurable platform for real-time video applications.  相似文献

Stimuli‐responsive polymer brushes are smart materials for the design of bio‐interactive and responsive interfaces. The “grafting‐to” approach is a convenient preparation procedure that allows the modification of surfaces with preformed and most notably well‐defined functionalized macromolecules. However, the shortcoming of this approach is an intrinsic limitation of the grafting density, which in turn affects the stimuli‐responsive properties of the brush system. Here, a general strategy to overcome this limitation and to simultaneously improve the switching behavior of a temperature‐responsive poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide) (PNiPAAm) brush is reported. A technically simple processing step is used in combination with the thermal azide–alkyne cycloaddition to perform the chain extension of alkyne‐functionalized PNiPAAm brushes with azide‐functionalized PNiPAAm molecules.  相似文献

In this study, software platform of the management system in smart home is designed, and users are Chinese. So the language in the system is Chinese. Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) can help the realization of low-cost power grid automation systems where multi-functional sensor nodes can be used to monitor the critical parameters of smart grid components. The WSN-based smart grid applications include but not limited to load control, power system monitoring and control, fault diagnostics, power fraud detection, demand response, and distribution automation. However, the design and implementation of WSNs are constrained by energy resources. Sensor nodes have limited battery energy supply and accordingly, power aware communication protocols have been developed in order to address the energy consumption and prolong their lifetime. In this paper, the lifetime of wireless sensor nodes has been analyzed under different smart grid radio propagation environments, such as 500 kV substation, main power control room, and underground network transformer vaults. In particular, the effects of smart grid channel characteristics and radio parameters, such as path loss, shadowing, frame length and distance, on a wireless sensor node lifetime have been evaluated. Overall, the main objective of this paper is to help network designers quantifying the impact of the smart grid propagation environment and sensor radio characteristics on node lifetime in harsh smart grid environments.  相似文献

With the development of smart grid, residents have the opportunity to schedule their household appliances (HA) for the purpose of reducing electricity expenses and alleviating the pressure of the smart grid. In this paper, we introduce the structure of home energy management system (EMS) and then propose a power optimization strategy based on household load model and electric vehicle (EV) model for home power usage. In this strategy, the electric vehicles are charged when the price is low, and otherwise, are discharged. By adopting this combined system model under the time-of-use electricity price (TOUP), the proposed scheduling strategy would effectively minimize the electricity cost and reduce the pressure of the smart grid at the same time. Finally, simulation experiments are carried out to show the feasibility of the proposed strategy. The results show that crossover genetic particle swarm optimization algorithm has better convergence properties than traditional particle swarm algorithm and better adaptability than genetic algorithm.  相似文献
