Conclusions A study was made of the properties of guncrete compounds based on kyanite suitable for service in steel ladles. The best properties were possessed by a compound containing 80% kyanite, 10% clay, and 10% binder.Industrial trials with the guncrete compounds were completed. Conclusions A technology was developed and introduced for grinding and boring the refractory periclase plates for the slide gates of steelcasting ladles with diamond tools.The most suitable tool for grinding the plates is a diamond wheel with M1 bond, a diamond granularity of 160/125, and a diamond concentration of 100%. The drills recommended for boring the plate holes are the SK type annular diamond drills.The most efficient and suitable grinding machine for the plates is the 3D756 type fitted with clamping fixtures. Conclusions The life of linings in large ladles depends on the grade of steel, the amount, chemical composition and consistency of the slag.The intermediate ladle made in the factory ensures reliable operation during the casting of metal by the continuous steel casting operation.Heating the intermediate ladle to 1100–1200°C by means of compact burners, working on coke gas, and new designs for cooled stoppers and stopper devices greatly reduces slab loss.In the process of evaluating the casting of transformer steel the loss due to nonmetallic inclusions was greatly reduced, but not completely eliminated.Further work must be done to explain the causes of the formation of slag inclusions and methods of handling the problem.  相似文献

Conclusions A study was made of the properties of Gunite compounds based on Novoselitsk kaolin suitable for service in steel ladles. The best composition was: 90% chamotte, 10% kaolin, and 10% (on 100%) bond. A State Standard was developed for Gunite powder. Industrial trials were done on the new compounds. Conclusions A composition consisting of mullite corundum ramming compound MMK-72 was developed for making the bottoms of steel casting and intermediate (donkey) ladles of the converter shop of the Azovstal' factory; it was prepared from high-alumina chamotte and kaolin with a bond of orthophosphoric acid. Using the standard TU 14-297-17-78, the production of the compound is being organized at the Zaporozhe factory.
