视觉反馈范式对英语语音学习的有效性及概化性实证研究

由于语音的特殊性和复杂性,其相关学习研究相较于其他语言技能而言所受的关注一直较少。计算机辅助语言学习的出现,使电脑端的语音可视化成为可能。虽然视觉反馈对语音学习有积极影响,但多数有关研究只关注了语音的超音段特性,对语音系统中其他部分未过多涉及。本研究基于对Praat语音可视化分析软件的使用,在英语语音教学中使用视觉反馈范式(Visual Feedback Paradigm,简称VFP),以语音强度比为检测标准,对学习者语音学习的情况进行了研究和分析,并得出了以下结论:(1)比起传统听觉训练,利用VFP进行语音教学可取得更好的学习效果,且取得的语音改善具有一定的持久性;(2)利用VFP所获得的单词层面上的语音提升能够扩展到相似的话语(句子)层面,并且这种提升也具有持久性;(3)学生对于VFP持积极的评价,他们认为视觉反馈所提供的明显图像差异能反映出单个音素的相对音长与音强,从而为发音提供指导。本研究证明了VFP对于语音学习的有效性和概化性,以及VFP在初阶二语语音课堂中的潜在实用价值。     

On the Importance of Cultural Input in English Teaching

English as a foreign language has been a subject in middle school of China for years. Teachers and educators generation by generation have been trying to find an optimal method of teaching foreign language to help students master it better. After unceasing exploring, traditional teaching pattern has been improved and new teaching approaches appear such as Task-based language teaching and communicative language teaching. However, whatever teaching methods English teachers use in the class, they should not ignore the cultural input in English teaching. The successful and efficient English teaching should transform the single language teaching into the combination of language teaching and cultural teaching. The thesis is concerned with the significance of culture in English teaching. More specifically, some consideration will be given to the reasons and ways of teaching culture.

通过剖析建筑施工技术课程特点,借鉴加拿大外语教学"浸入式"教学法概念,分析了建立"浸入式"教学环境的必要性,提出了构建直接"浸入式"教学环境与间接"浸入式"教学环境的具体方法。构建"浸入式"教学环境有助于学生始终处于建筑施工现场学习理论知识,缩短认知进程,提高课程学习效果。     

A Study on Application of Task-based Teaching Appr oach to College Oral English Teaching

This thesis reports an experimental study of Task-based L2 oral English teaching for English majors in a Chinese university.In the second language acquisition(SLA)field,teachers and researchers are devoted to finding a method,which functions as a bridge to join the usage and use of the language,the forms and meaning,and the process and product.Task-based teaching approach(TBTA)seems to satisfy such demands.Therefore,it has attracted wide attention in the field of SLA,become one of the hot spots of current theoretical study,and provided some theoretical guidance for the practice of foreign language teaching(FLT)and second language teaching(SLT).The researcher believes it is necessary to write a review concerning the origin,the development and the future of task-based teaching approach.     

建构主义理论指导下翻译专业硕士CAT教学改革
