Zinc ferrite (ZnFe2O4) nanoparticles have been synthesized at 700°C using sodium chloride as a growth inhibitor. Single-phase formation of spinel zinc ferrite having crystallite size in the range of 15–20 nm was observed by XRD and confirmed by TEM. In the present work, the gas-sensing properties of these zinc ferrite nanoparticles toward ethanol, LPG, H2, NO x . SO x , and H2S have been studied. It was found that they exhibit excellent selective sensitivity toward 200 ppm of H2S at the operating temperature of 250°C, and thus this nanosized ferrite is expected to be useful in an industrial application as a potential H2S gas sensor.  相似文献

A Zn2Te3O8 ceramic was investigated as a promising dielectric material for low-temperature co-fired ceramics (LTCC) applications. The Zn2Te3O8 ceramic was synthesized using the solid-state reaction method by sintering in the temperature range 540°–600°C. The structure and microstructure of the compounds were investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy methods. The dielectric properties of the ceramics were studied in the frequency range 4–6 GHz. The Zn2Te3O8 ceramic has a dielectric constant (ɛr) of 16.2, a quality factor ( Q u× f ) of 66 000 at 4.97 GHz, and a temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) of −60 ppm/°C, respectively. Addition of 4 wt% TiO2 improved the τf to −8.7 ppm/°C with an ɛr of 19.3 and a Q u× f of 27 000 at 5.14 GHz when sintered at 650°C. The chemical reactivity of the Zn2Te3O8 ceramic with Ag and Al metal electrodes was also investigated.  相似文献

α-Al2O3-doped (8 mol % Sc2O3)ZrO2 composite solid electrolyte has been investigated in the fabrication of solid-state ceramic gas sensors. The microstructure and electrical conductivity of the composite solid electrolyte have been measured over a range of temperature from 240°C to 596°C. The composite solid electrolyte has been found to exhibit a higher conductivity compared with the commonly used (8 mol% Y2O3)ZrO2 at temperatures above ∼448°C. The sensing characteristics for NO2 detection have been studied in the temperature range of 500–650°C at the low concentration from 10 to 30 ppm and at high concentration from 100 to 500 ppm of NO2. The NO2 sensor was found to respond reproducibly and rapidly to the variations of NO2, concentration, indicating that the composite solid electrolyte has promising application as a solid electrolyte for on-board exhaust gas monitoring.  相似文献

K x Ba1− x Ga2− x Ge2+ x O8 (0.6≤ x ≤1) polycrystalline ceramics are potential materials for glass-free low-temperature cofired ceramics (LTCC) substrates. We have made a comprehensive study of the kinetics of the monoclinic-to-monoclinic P 21/ a ⇔ C 2/ m phase transition. The low-temperature-stable P 21/ a phase with a high Q × f value was synthesized using a subsolidus method and was well sintered at the LTCC temperature with a H3BO3 additive. A good combination of low sintering temperature (910°–920°C), high Q × f values (96 700–104 500 GHz), low permittivities (5.6–6.0), and a small temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (∼−20 ppm/°C) was obtained for ceramics with x =0.67 and 0.9 and with 0.1 wt% of H3BO3.  相似文献

The microwave dielectric properties and the microstructures of Nd(Co1/2Ti1/2)O3 (NCT) ceramics using starting powders of Nd2O3, CoO, and TiO2 prepared by the conventional solid-state route have been researched. The dielectric constant values (ɛr) saturated at 24.8–27. Quality factor ( Q × f ) values of 37 900–140 000 (at 9 GHz) and the measured τf values ranging from −45 to −48 ppm/°C can be obtained when the sintering temperatures are in the range of 1410°–1500°C. The ɛr value of 27, the Q × f value of 140 000 (at 9 GHz) and the τf value of −46 ppm/°C were obtained for NCT ceramics sintered at 1440°C for 4 h. For applications of high selective microwave ceramic resonator, filter, and antenna, NCT is proposed as a suitable material candidate.  相似文献

Polycrystalline BaTe4O9 ceramic compound was investigated as a promising microwave dielectric compound for low-temperature cofired ceramics (LTCC) applications. The binary phase BaTe4O9 was synthesized and subsequently densified over the temperature range of only 500°–550°C, which allows for low-temperature cofiring with aluminum metal. The dielectric properties of BaTe4O9 ceramics sintered at 550°C for 2 h were determined in the microwave region of 12–14 GHz. The dielectric constant and Q × f product obtained were 17.5 and 54 700 GHz at 12 GHz, respectively. The temperature coefficient of resonance frequency showed a negative value of −90 ppm/°C. In terms of its evaluation for LTCC, the BaTe4O9 composition was found to be chemically compatible and successfully cofired with highly conductive aluminum electrode, while maintaining good electrical performance.  相似文献

MgAl2O4 microwave dielectric ceramics were modified by Zn substitution for Mg, and their dielectric characteristics were evaluated, along with their structures. Dense (Mg1− x Zn x )Al2O4 ceramics were obtained by sintering at 1550°–1650°C in air for 3 h, and the (Mg1− x Zn x )Al2O4 solid solution was determined in the entire composition range. With Zn substitution for Mg, the dielectric constant ɛ of MgAl2O4 just varied from 7.90 to 8.56, while the Q × f value had significantly improved up to a maximal value of 106 000 GHz at x =1.0. Moreover, the τf of MgAl2O4 ceramics had declined from −73 to −63 ppm/°C.  相似文献

Dielectric properties of the system (1 − x)(La1/2Na1/2)TiO3 x Ca(Fe1/2Nb1/2)O3, where 0.4 # x # 0.6, have been investigated at microwave frequencies. The temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf), nearly 0 ppm/°C, was realized at x = 0.58. These ceramics had perovskite structure and showed relatively low dielectric losses. A new dielectric material applicable to microwave devices having Q · f of 12000–14000 GHz and a dielectric constant (εr) of 59–60 has been obtained at 1300–1350°C for 5–15 h sintering.  相似文献

Anatase-type TiO2 powder containing sulfur with absorption in the visible region was directly formed as particles with crystallite in the range 15–88 nm by thermal hydrolysis of titanium(III) sulfate (Ti2(SO4)3) solution at 100°–240°C. Because of the presence of ammonium peroxodisulfate ((NH4)2S2O8), the yield of anatase-type TiO2 from Ti2(SO4)3 solution was accelerated, and anatase with fine crystallite was formed. Anatase-type TiO2 doped with ZrO2 up to 9.8 mol% was directly precipitated as nanometer-sized particles from the acidic precursor solutions of Ti2(SO4)3 and zirconium sulfate in the presence and the absence of (NH4)2S2O8 by simultaneous hydrolysis under hydrothermal conditions at 200°C. By doping ZrO2 into TiO2 and with increasing ZrO2 content, the crystallite size of anatase was decreased, and the anatase-to-rutile phase transformation was retarded as much as 200°C. The anatase-type structure of ZrO2-doped TiO2 was maintained after heating at 1000°C for 1 h. The favorable effect of doping ZrO2 to anatase-type TiO2 on the photocatalytic activity was observed.  相似文献

The microwave dielectric properties of the (1− x )CaTiO3– x Ca(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3 ceramic system have been investigated. The ceramic samples sintered at 1300°–1450°C for 4 h in air exhibit orthorhombic pervoskite and form a complete solid solution for different x value. When the x value increased from 0.2 to 0.8, the permittivity ɛr decreased from 115 to 42, the unloaded quality factor Q × f increased from 5030 to 13 030 GHz, and the temperature coefficient τf decreased from 336 to −28 ppm/°C. When x =0.7, the best combination of dielectric properties, a near zero temperature coefficient of resonant frequency of τf∼−6 ppm/°C, Q × f ∼10 860 GHz and ɛr∼51 is obtained.  相似文献

The effects of substituting Nb5+ with Ta5+ on the microwave dielectric properties of the ZnNb2O6 ceramics were investigated in this study. The forming of Zn(Nb1− x Ta x )2O6 ( x =0–0.09) solid solution was confirmed by the measured lattice parameters and the EDX analysis. By increasing x , not only could the Q × f of the Zn(Nb1− x Ta x )2O6 ( x =0–0.09) solid solution be tremendously boosted from 83 600 GHz at x =0 to a maximum 152 000 GHz at x =0.05, the highest ɛr∼24.6 could also be achieved simultaneously. It was mainly due to the uniform grain morphology and the highest relative density of the specimen. A fine combination of microwave dielectric properties (ɛr∼24.6, Q × f ∼152 000 GHz at 8.83 GHz, τf∼–71.1 ppm/°C) was achieved for Zn(Nb0.95Ta0.05)2O6 solid solution sintered at 1175°C for 2 h.  相似文献

The microwave dielectric properties and the microstructures of (Mg1− x Co x )2TiO4 ceramics prepared by the conventional solid-state route were investigated. Lattice parameters were also measured for specimens with different x . The formation of solid solution (Mg1− x Co x )2TiO4 ( x =0.02–0.1) was confirmed by the X-ray diffraction patterns, energy dispersive X-ray analysis, and the lattice parameters measured. By increasing x from 0 to 0.05, the Q × f of the specimen can be tremendously boosted from 150 000 GHz to a maximum of 286 000 GHz. A fine combination of microwave dielectric properties (ɛr∼15.7, Q × f ∼286 000 GHz at 10.4 GHz, τf∼−52.5 ppm/°C) was achieved for (Mg0.95Co0.05)2TiO4 ceramics sintered at 1390°C for 4 h. Ilmenite-structured (Mg0.95Co0.05)TiO3 was detected as a second phase. The presence of the second phase would cause no significant variation in the dielectric properties of the specimen because it possesses compatible properties compared with that of the main phase. In addition, only a small deviation in the dielectric properties was monitored for specimens with x =0.04–0.05 at 1360°–1420°C. It not only provides a wide process window but also ensures an extremely reliable material proposed as a very promising dielectric for low-loss microwave and millimeter wave applications.  相似文献

(Ni1− x Zn x )Nb2O6, 0≤ x ≤1.0, ceramics with >97% density were prepared by a conventional solid-state reaction, followed by sintering at 1200°–1300°C (depending on the value of x ). The XRD patterns of the sintered samples (0≤ x ≤1.0) revealed single-phase formation with a columbite ( Pbcn ) structure. The unit cell volume slightly increased with increasing Zn content ( x ). All the compositions showed high electrical resistivity (ρdc=1.6±0.3 × 1011Ω·cm). The microwave (4–5 GHz) dielectric properties of (Ni1− x Zn x )Nb2O6 ceramics exhibited a significant dependence on the Zn content and to some extent on the morphology of the grains. As x was increased from 0 to 1, the average grain size monotonically increased from 7.6 to 21.2 μm and the microwave dielectric constant (ɛ'r) increased from 23.6 to 26.1, while the quality factors ( Q u× f ) increased from 18 900 to 103 730 GHz and the temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) increased from −62 to −73 ppm/°C. In the present work, we report the highest observed values of Q u× f =103 730 GHz, and ɛ'r=26.1 for the ZnNb2O6-sintered ceramics.  相似文献

Ba1– x Pb x TiO3 powder with a fixed composition was prepared by the reaction of BaTiO3 powders with molten PbCl2at various PbCl2/BaTiO3 molar ratios at 600° and 800°C in a nitrogen atmosphere. When 0.1 μm powder was used, the reaction was finished when x = 0.9. Two phases of BaTiO3and a solid solution of Ba1– x Pb x TiO3 coexisted, but the final phase gave a solid solution of Ba1– x Pb x TiO3 at 800°C. When 0.5 μm powder was used, the two phases coexisted in the products at 600°C at PbCl2/BaTiO3= 1.0. A sintered compact of Ba1– x Pb x TiO3 powders solid solution was prepared by hot isostatic pressing, and its dielectric constant was measured in the temperature range 20°–550°C.  相似文献

The microwave dielectric properties and the microstructures of Nd(Zn1/2Ti1/2)O3 (NZT) ceramics prepared by the conventional solid-state route have been studied. The prepared NZT exhibited a mixture of Zn and Ti showing 1:1 order in the B-site. The dielectric constant values (ɛr) saturated at 29.1–31.6. The quality factor ( Q × f ) values of 56 700–170 000 (at 8.5 GHz) can be obtained when the sintering temperatures are in the range of 1300°–1420°C. The temperature coefficient of resonant frequency τf was not sensitive to the sintering temperature. The ɛ r value of 31.6, the Q × f value of 170 000 (at 8.5 GHz), and the τf value of −42 ppm/°C were obtained for NZT ceramics sintering at 1330°C for 4 h. For applications of high selective microwave ceramic resonators, filters, and antennas, NZT is proposed as a suitable material candidate.  相似文献

Ferroelectric films, PbZr x Ti1− x O3 ( x = 0 to 0.6), have been prepared from corresponding metal alkoxides partially stabilized with acetylacetone through the sol-gel process. The films dip-coated in an ambient atmosphere were heat-treated at 400°C for decomposition of residual organics and then at temperatures between 500° and 700°C for crystallization of the films. The perovskite phase precipitated at temperatures above 560°C, accompanied by an increase in dielectric constant. The dielectric constant of the films, which was comparable with that of sintered bodies, showed a maximum (∼620) at around x = 0.52 in PbZr x Ti1− x O3. These films showed D – E hysteresis, with slightly higher values of coercive field, compared with those of sintered bodies.  相似文献

This paper details the investigation of the quality factor ( Q ), dielectric permittivity (ɛr) and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) of the TE01δ mode of the columbite binary niobate ceramics, with the formula MNb2O6 where M=2+ cation, in relation to their degree of sintering, microstructure and phase composition. The ceramics were made from a mixed oxide preparative route and fired over a range of temperatures from 800° to 1400°C, and most formed the columbite structure. A comprehensive study was made of the niobates containing the transition metal cations M=Mn2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, and Zn2+, and the group II metal cations M=Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+, and Ba2+. All columbite niobates were found to have ɛr between 17 and 22 and negative τf values between –45 and –76 ppm/°C, and ZnNb2O6, MgNb2O6, CaNb2O6, and CoNb2O6 had high Q f values of 84 500, 79 600, 49 600, and 41 700 GHz, respectively. The Q f of MgNb2O6 was found to rise to over 95 000 GHz when heated at 1300°C for 50 h.  相似文献

Na2O· x Al2O3 ( x = 9, 11)films have been obtained by sol–gel method. Crystallization processes during heat treatments have been investigated by X–ray diffraction analysis. A metastable phase with the mullite structure, λ–Na2O· x Al2O3, has been observed starting from 800°C. Films remained stable after a heat treatment at 1000°C for 250 h. Impedance spectroscopy measurements showed that the films of λ-Na2O· x Al2O3 possess a large three–dimensional ionic conductivity at 400°C.  相似文献

Re3Ga5O12 (Re: Nd, Sm, Eu, Dy, Yb, and Y) garnet ceramics were synthesized and their microwave dielectric properties were investigated for advanced substrate materials in microwave integrated circuits. The Re3Ga5O12 ceramics sintered at 1350°–1500°C had a high-quality factor ( Q × f ) ranging from 40 000 to 192 173 GHz and a low-dielectric constant (ɛr) of between 11.5 and 12.5. They also exhibited a relatively stable temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) in the range of −33.7 to −12.4 ppm/°C. In particular, the Sm3Ga5O12 ceramics sintered at 1450°C exhibited good microwave dielectric properties of ɛr=12.4, Q × f =192 173 GHz, and τf=−19.2 ppm/°C.  相似文献
