The arrival of new data services for wireless mobile communications requires an efficient use of the available bandwidth. Interference-limited cellular systems based on code-division multiple access (CDMA) can benefit from multiuser detection (MUD) and beamforming with antenna array to reduce multiple-access interference. Group-based techniques have been proposed to reduce the complexity of space-time MUD and have been shown to provide a performance-complexity tradeoff between matched filtering and full MUD. In this paper, the intergroup interference, which is a limiting factor in group-based systems, is reduced using multistage parallel interference cancellation after group-based minimum mean square error (MMSE) linear filtering. In addition, the extra resources that are available at the receiver are exploited by sharing users among groups. The proposed receiver is shown to converge, as the number of stages increases, to the full space-time MMSE linear MUD filter. The results show that the new approach provides bit error rate (BER) performance close to the full MUD receiver at a fraction of the complexity.  相似文献

In this paper, we examine the uplink of a cooperative CDMA network, where users cooperate by relaying each other's messages to the base station. When spreading waveforms are not orthogonal, multiple access interference (MAI) exists at the relays and the destination, causing cooperative diversity gains to diminish. To address this issue, we adopt the multiuser detection (MUD) technique to mitigate MAI in achieving the full advantages of cooperation. Specifically, the relay-assisted decorrelating multiuser detector (RAD-MUD) is proposed to separate interfering signals at the destination with the help of preceding at the relays along with pre-whitening at the destination. Unlike the conventional zero-forcing (ZF) precoder or the decorrelating MUD, the proposed RAD-MUD experiences neither power expansion at the relays nor noise amplification at the destination. Three cooperative transmission strategies are considered on top of RAD-MUD; namely, transmit beamforming, selective relaying and distributed space-time coding. Since the reliability of each source-relay and/or relay-destination links are different, relay transmissions are weighted accordingly in our schemes to further combat MAI. The advantages of RAD-MUD over ZF precoding and other existing cooperative MUD schemes are shown through computer simulations.  相似文献

该文对准静态Rayleigh衰落下MIMO-CDMA系统信道容量进行了研究,分析了扩频码为Walsh函数,基于多码检测的极大似然检测器(MLD)和解相关检测器的性能,并和MMSE多用户检测器(MUD)进行了比较;分析了对不同检测器在一定的信噪比下系统天线数目和信道容量的关系。仿真结果表明:在相同的情况下,基于Walsh码CDMA系统容量按MUD、干扰方差已知的MLD,干扰方差未知的MLD和解相关检测器递减,并且后面的3种检测器在大信噪比的时候均有渐进的平台效应;在信噪比较大且一定时,CDMA系统信道容量与天线数目呈线性关系。  相似文献

The minimum mean-squared error (MMSE) receiver is a linear filter which can suppress multiple access interference (MAI) effectively in direct-sequence code-division multiple-access (CDMA) communications. An antenna array is also an efficient scheme for suppressing MAI and improving the system performance. In this letter, we consider an adaptive MMSE receiver in conjunction with beamforming in CDMA systems employing an antenna array. The proposed structure is featured as a low complexity receiver, which adapts the MMSE filter coefficients and the beamforming weights simultaneously. However, it does require the channel state information and the direction of arrival (DOA) of the desired user signal. As a result, we propose two adaptation methods to perform joint channel estimation and signal detection without any training sequence. It is demonstrated that the two proposed methods achieve similar bit-error-rate performance. More importantly, their performance degradation compared with the case with perfect channel information is small.  相似文献

This paper proposes an improved Direction Of Arrival(DOA) estimation algorithm for asynchronous multipath Code Division Multiple Access(CDMA) system. The algorithm is based on the correlation matrices of outputs of decorrelator, which is a Multi-User Detection(MUD) approach, one of the key techniques for CDMA system. Through decorrelating processing, the desired user's mulipath signals can be resolved and all the other resolved multipath signal interference is eliminated. So the proposed algorithm is expected to perforln much better than algorithm such as that based directly on the Matched Filter(MF) bank outputs. Simulation results confirm this. While the improved algorithm performs better and better as Signal-to-Noise Ratio(SNR) increases, the performance of algorithm based directly on the MF bank outputs can not be improved.  相似文献

由于CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access)通信系统实施了功率控制,在基带不能直接用CMA进行自适应阵列的波束形成.通过分析CDMA系统的特点,我们提出在接收信号解扩后再应用CMA进行波束形成.这种新的波束形成方法不仅为CMA自适应阵列在CDMA系统中的应用提供了一种途径,而且还能防止CMA收敛到错误信号上,从而提高系统的可靠性.仿真结果表明,与全向天线系统相比,采用CMA自适应阵列的系统性能有了很大的改善,系统的容量得到成倍的增加.在强干扰情况下,虽然CMA的干扰方向信号抑制效应变弱,但其性能改善仍然十分明显.  相似文献

多用户检测技术是DS/CDMA中的一项关键技术,而天线阵的广泛应用也促使对多入多出系统的研究。该文将两种技术结合在一起,考虑到基站在一般情况下总是知道本小区的多个用户的扩频码,在此半盲意义下研究了将子空间方法应用于多用户检测的技术。这种技术可适用于低速移动台在慢衰落信道下的盲检测。仿真结果表明这种算法相对于只利用一个用户的扩频码的盲检测算法性能有相当大的提高。  相似文献

CDMA是新一代移动通信系统的关键技术,现代卫星移动通信也采用CDMA技术。多址干扰(MAI)的存在严重影响了CDMA系统的性能,需要采用多用户检测技术进行抑制。本文分析了卫星移动通信系统的模型,将线性多用户检测算法用于卫星移动通信系统,并对传统检测器、解相关检测器、MMSE检测器等线性检测器进行了性能比较。计算机仿真结果表明采用线性多用户检测技术使卫星移动通信系统的性能得到了明显的改善。  相似文献

详细分析了GPS/INS紧耦合模型的结构和数学模型,给出了相应的EKF算法。分析了单级MVDR(Minimun Variance Distortionless Response)波束形成技术的缺陷,建立了多级MVDR波束形成技术的设计模型。在此基础上,给出了基于GPS/INS与天线阵列相结合的导航系统抗干扰设计模型。最后对该系统的输出载波噪声比和位置误差进行了仿真分析,结果表明,单级波束形成技术由于受到自由度的限制,在多干扰存在情况下产生较大的距离误差,而多级波束形成技术可以有效抑制多干扰信号存在的影响,保证导航系统的可靠工作。  相似文献

In a code-division multiple-access (CDMA) system, multiuser detection (MUD) can exploit the information of signals from other interfering users to increase the system capacity. However, the optimum MUD for CDMA systems requires the solution of an NP-hard combinatorial optimization problem. It is well known that the computational complexity of the optimum multiuser detector is exponential with the number of active users in the system. In this paper, we apply a hybrid algorithm to develop a suboptimal MUD strategy. The result of symmetric successive overrelaxation (SSOR) preconditioned conjugate-gradient method is first used to initialize the reduced-complexity recursive (RCR) multiuser detector. Then, RCR algorithm is applied to detect the received data bit by optimizing an objective function in relation with the linear system of decorrelating detector. Simulation results for the synchronous case show that the performance of our proposed SSOR-RCR multiuser detector is promising and outperform the decorrelator and linear minimum mean squared error multiuser detector with lower computational complexity.  相似文献

Third-generation (3G) cellular code division multiple access (CDMA,) systems can provide an increase in capacity for system operators over existing second-generation (CDMA) systems. The gain in capacity for the base station to mobile (forward) link can be attributed to improvements in coding techniques, fast power control, and transmit diversity techniques. Additional gains in the mobile to base station (reverse) link can be attributed to the use of coherent quadrature phase shift keyed (QPSK) modulation and better coding techniques. While these enhancements can improve the performance of the system, system operators expect that with increased demand for data services, even greater capacity enhancements may be desired. There are essentially three methods, which we describe, based on diversity, spatial beamforming, and a combination of diversity and beamforming, to improve the performance of system through the use of additional antennas at the base station transmitter and receiver. The performance improvements are a function of the antenna spacings and the algorithms used to weight the antenna signals. We focus on the possibilities for the cdma2000 3G system that do not require standards changes. We highlight the performance enhancements that can be obtained on both the reverse and forward links through use of an antenna array architecture that supports a combination of beamforming and transmit diversity. The system capacity and performance of multicarrier code-division multiple-access (MC-CDMA) communication systems can be significantly enhanced by jointly employing MAP-based multiuser detection (MUD) and channel decoding techniques. In this paper, a group-oriented soft iterative MUD based on the combination of smart antennas and iterative MAP-based MUD is presented. The proposed method is featured as a novel technique for further increasing the system capacity and performance. In this method, all the users are first grouped into several groups according to their impinging direction of arrivals (DOAs). All users with similar DOAs are classified into the same group and then low-complexity MAP-based iterative MUD is employed in each group. Because spatial filtering cannot suppress all the interference between the groups, interference cancellation among the groups is used prior to MUD within each group. It is shown that the proposed group-oriented soft iterative MUD algorithm can significantly reduce the computational complexity compared with the conventional optimal MAP-based MUD schemes. It is also demonstrated that the performance of the proposed algorithm can approach that of a single-user coded MC-CDMA system with an antenna array in additive white Gaussian noise and frequency selective fading channels.  相似文献

Electronically steerable passive array radiator (ESPAR) antennas are considered to have the capability to form a beam spatially toward the desired signal with the lowest cost. We propose a method to realize space-time adaptive filtering (STAF) by employing ESPAR antennas for TDMA or CDMA signal waveforms. According to the method, the cochannel interference signals are spatially suppressed by the adaptive beamforming, and the intersymbol interference signals are suppressed by the temporal waveform-based adaptive equalization. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method in the signal environment of a local network communication system.  相似文献

In code division multiple access (CDMA) mobile radio systems, both intersymbol interference and multiple access interference arise which can be combated by using either elaborate optimum or favorable suboptimum joint detection (JD) techniques. Furthermore, the time variation of the radio channels leads to degradations of the receiver performance. These degradations can be reduced by applying diversity techniques. Using coherent receiver antenna diversity (CRAD) is especially attractive because only the signal processing at the receiver must be modified. In the present paper, the application of CRAD to the more critical uplink of CDMA mobile radio systems with suboptimum JD techniques is investigated for maximal-ratio combining. The authors study six different suboptimum JD techniques based on decorrelating matched filtering, Gauss-Markov estimation, and minimum mean square error estimation with and without decision feedback. These six suboptimum JD techniques which are well-known for single antenna receivers are extended for the application to CRAD. A main concern of the paper is the determining of the SNR performance of the presented JD techniques for CRAD and the achievable average uncoded bit error probabilities for the transmission over rural area, typical urban and bad urban mobile radio channels are determined  相似文献

Blind beamforming based on the maximum signal-to-noise ratio (MSNR) can improve the performance of an array system only when the processing gain of the given code-division multiple-access (CDMA) system is high enough such that the desired signal can become dominant after despreading (see Choi, S. and Shim, D., IEEE Trans. Veh. Technol., vol.49, p.1793-1806, 2000; Choi, S. and Yun, D., IEEE Trans. Antennas Propagat., vol.45, p.1393-1404, 1997). We consider a maximum signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (MSINR) beamforming. The MSINR performance criterion is chosen to deal with strong interferers effectively. It is shown that blind MSINR beamforming is possible by directly utilizing the input and output signals of correlators of the CDMA systems. In addition, we propose an adaptive beamforming algorithm at a lower computational complexity - about O(7.5N) - where N is the number of antenna elements of the array system. Simulation results are presented in various signal environments to show the performance of the proposed adaptive algorithm.  相似文献

提出了智能天线中三种利用估计得到的信号导向向量直接形成波束的新方法.根据CDMA信号模型和多径信道模型,用码滤波法估计得到用户最强信号(主径)的导向向量,利用这些导向向量形成恢复期望信号,抑制干扰的制约条件.根据制约条件可直接得到最小二乘(LS)波束形成方法;按照制约条件使输出能量最小得到广义最小方差无失真响应(GMVDR)波束形成方法;在GMVDR方法的基础上引入虚拟信号来进一步抑制旁瓣得到扩展最小方差无失真响应(EMVDR)波束形成方法.模拟表明这三种方法都能很好的恢复期望信号、抑制干扰和噪声,但通过比较看出EMVDR方法形成的波束最好.  相似文献

In code division multiple access (CDMA) systems, the capacity of forward link (FL) communication to mobile receivers is limited primarily by co‐channel interference (CCI). Adaptive antenna arrays (AAAs) that use antenna arrays along with advanced signal processing at the base station (BS) have been proposed to mitigate this limitation. For a 3G CDMA cellular network, where each BS equipped with an AAA serves mixture of voice and data users within its coverage, we study FL capacity and investigate the effects of different factors (array topology, multipath angle spread, data rate, and beamforming algorithm) on this capacity under Rayleigh fading channel. By modeling the instantaneous signal‐to‐interference power ratio received at the mobile, we derive the system outage equation that considers blocking of either desired voice or data user. Simulation results show that for the same element spacing and number of antenna elements per cell, the uniform circular array (UCA) topology results in larger capacity than the sectorized uniform linear array (ULA) topology does, and that a larger angle spread or data user rate reduces FL capacity. Code division multiple access (CDMA) schemes allow a number of asynchronous users to share a transmission medium with minimum cooperation among them. However, sophisticated signal processing algorithms are needed at the receiver to combat interference from other users and multipath effects. A discrete-time multirate formulation is introduced for asynchronous CDMA systems, which can incorporate multipath effects. This formulation reveals interesting links between CDMA receivers and array processing problems. In this framework, linear receivers are derived that can completely suppress multiuser interference (decorrelating receivers). A criterion is introduced, which guarantees the decorrelating property, while providing optimal solutions in the presence of noise. Parametric FIR designs as well as nonparametric solutions are delineated, and their performance is analyzed. 针对拥挤干扰环境中的多载波扩频通信系统,提出了一种基于期望信号波达方向估计和干扰功率空间谱分析的波束成形方法。该方法首先利用多载波扩频调制信号的频率分集特性估计期望信号的波达方向,然后利用空间谱分析估计干扰信号的空间功率分布,在此基础上完成波束成形。该方法能够在拥挤强干扰环境下精确估计信号的波达方向,从而保证了干扰信号空间谱估计的有效性。仿真结果表明,即使干扰信号的功率显著强于期望信号,本算法仍然能够精确地估计出期望信号的波达方向,从而保证算法的有效性。  相似文献
