Provided is experimental verification that a textured surface slot antenna is capable of producing usable far-field radiation patterns with preferential radiation into the forward half-space, at better than -16 dB return loss. In addition, it is shown that the antenna when connected to a 50 Omega load yields a backscattered return of only -17 dB compared to a matched slot antenna constructed on a perfectly conducting (PEC) ground plane, which returns -3 dB. The gain of the textured slot antenna structure was measured to be 3.35 dBi at 4.77 GHz  相似文献

For more antenna miniaturization, novel fractal tree geometry designed for 5 iterations using rectangular and triangular patches that allow decrease in the resonance frequency without occupying more space. Impedance Matching can be improved without changing the main beam direction or current distribution to five iterations with branching half angle of 60 degrees. The antenna fed by a Coaxial or probe feed to improve the narrow bandwidth of Fractal Antenna. The proposed antenna achieves a bandwidth of 31.5% for 10 dB return loss, covering the frequency range 2.4–3.6 GHz for WLAN and WiFi applications. The antenna gain of the fractal element is about 3 dBi. Array is designed to increase the gain and radiation energy. Arrays are configured at operating frequency of 2.4 GHz by using six elements to enhance the gain up to 11 dBi. The obtained gain and frequency are suitable for WLAN and WiFi applications.  相似文献

A compact and novel modified planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) for dual ISM-band application is proposed. The proposed antenna, including a small ground plane, occupies a volume of 20/spl times/23.7/spl times/0.8 mm/sup 3/ (FR-4). The impedance bandwidth with 10 dB return loss is about 150 MHz (2380-2530 MHz) for 2.4 GHz band and 1450 MHz (5130-6580 MHz) for 5 GHz band. The measured radiation patterns are approximately omnidirectional and yield a gain of 1.0 dBi at 2440 MHz and 3.98 dBi at 5600 MHz, respectively.  相似文献

The development of a novel ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna is reported. The antenna, based on a microstrip transmission line, forms a quasi-horn and possesses an extremely wide bandwidth of many decades with relatively high gain. It does not require a balun or transition at the input port and is inherently matched. Two such antennas, when used as transmit and receive elements, have a high isolation between them, even when they are placed next to each other and no absorbing material is used. Measured results show a return loss of better than 10 dB from 0.2 to more than 20 GHz, gain from 7.5 dBi at 2.6 GHz to 17.6 dBi at 18 GHz, and good radiation patterns. Although not measured, the antenna should also perform well at much higher frequencies than 18 GHz. With proper size and shape, the antenna can achieve a relatively flat gain response over an extremely wide bandwidth. Calculated and measured radiation patterns also agree reasonably well  相似文献

A TX/RX dual microstrip 8/spl times/4 array antenna for satellite communication is designed, fabricated and measured and its element characteristics are analysed using finite difference time domain (FDTD) method. TX/RX frequency ranges are 14.0-14.5 GHz, 11.7-12.75 GHz, respectively, and vertical and horizontal polarisations are used for TX and RX. This antenna uses microstrip direct feeding for RX and aperture coupled stripline feeding for TX and accommodates stacked elements for a high directivity and wide impedance bandwidth. FDTD gives more accurate results because of the consideration of finite structure and two imperfect ground planes. This element has a return loss below -8 and -14 dB over the TX and RX frequency ranges and a gain of 7.5 and 8.3 dBi at the centre frequency of TX and RX. Return loss below -10 and -14 dB and a gain of 21.4 and 20.0 dBi were achieved for the TX and RX array, respectively.  相似文献

We investigate the characteristics of a wideband and high‐gain cavity‐backed slot antenna in terms of the reflection coefficients, radiation patterns, and gain. A cavity‐backed slot antenna structure includes baffles, reflectors, and thick ground planes. The measured gain and bandwidth of a 10‐dB return loss in a cavity‐backed 2 × 2 array slot antenna with h1=2 mm, d = 2 mm are 15.5 dBi and nearly 27% respectively, at 42 GHz. Baffles and reflectors are used to increase antenna gain, thus reducing the coupling among the slots on the thick ground plane.  相似文献

An inset-fed antenna with a shorting pin and slots is presented for harmonic suppression of an active integrated antenna. Its fundamental resonant frequency is 5.8 GHz. At fundamental and harmonic frequencies, return loss and radiation characteristics are measured and compared with those of the conventional microstrip patch antenna. The second and third harmonic return losses of the proposed antenna are suppressed to 6.7 dB and 17.7 dB with respect to the conventional patch antenna, respectively.  相似文献

基于传统对拓型Vivaldi天线, 提出一种新型小尺寸对拓型Vivaldi天线.采用波纹、开眼和引向器等结构来展宽天线的工作带宽, 并分别对这三种结构对带宽的影响进行了分析.利用HFSS仿真优化得到的结构参数, 分别在两种介质材料上, 加工并测试了带引向器波纹开眼对拓型Vivaldi天线, 实测与仿真结果吻合.仿真与测试结果表明:两种介质上的天线工作频带均包含3~20 GHz, 尺寸仅为42.56 mm×40.16 mm×0.813 mm, 带内回波损耗S11低于-10 dB, 带内增益均大于3 dBi, 最大增益达7.3 dBi, 交叉极化均小于-15 dB, 50%以上的频带交叉极化小于-20 dB, 最小可达-25 dB, 天线具有稳定的方向图, 良好的波形保真度, 是一种宽波束天线.  相似文献

RF switches are integrated to the shorting straps of a single feed dual-band planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) to make a tunable PIFA. The L-band switch yields 0.45-dB insertion loss (IL) and 10-dB isolation bandwidth (BW) of 40% at 1.5 GHz. The tunable PIFA yields 39% impedance BW at 900-MHz band and 7.8% BW at 2000-MHz band. The measured radiation patterns are nearly omni-directional and yield a gain of -7.8 dBi at 652 MHz and 4.3 dBi at 2104 MHz.  相似文献

设计并制作了一个D波段次谐波混频器。该混频器使用VDI公司反向并联肖特基二极管对,安装在50μm厚的石英基片悬置微带上。通过HFSS和ADS的联合设计仿真,混频器在射频频率141~158GHz频段内变频损耗低于10dB,在149 GHz处获得最佳变频损耗7.8dB。最后加工了实物并进行了测试,结果显示,在138~155GHz范围内,变频损耗基本小于20dB,带内最低损耗在10dB左右。该混频器具有结构简单,容易制造,变频损耗低等优点。  相似文献

设计了一种可工作于WLAN 2.4GHz频段的小型化双极化天线.该天线采用双层对称结构介质板,把辐射贴片四边分别切割成凸字形形状,实现了天线小型化和有效展宽天线带宽.同时在接地板开4个对称的十字形缝隙,进一步拓宽天线带宽和明显减小天线的整体尺寸并提高了天线辐射性能.由此设计制作的天线实验结果为:小于-10dB回波损耗的频段为2.37 ~ 2.59GHz,相对阻抗带宽达9.1%,端口隔离度达到了33dB,增益最大值约3.63 dBi,表明该微带天线具有宽频带和良好的辐射性能.此外,该天线结构简单紧凑,易于加工制作和集成,适合应用于移动终端.  相似文献

A new printed microstrip Yagi array antenna is proposed that can achieve a high gain and low backside radiation for various applications up to the millimeter-wave frequency range. The high front-to-back (F/B) ratio (up to 15 dB) is attributed to the constructive interference that takes place between the individual printed Yagi arrays in the design. Through the spacing of the elements, the directivity (between 9-11.5 dBi) and the F/B ratio can be altered to suit the application of interest. The operational principles of this design are discussed to give insight on the radiation mechanism of the antenna. An initial design at around 32.5 GHz is presented to show the performance capabilities of this configuration. An impedance bandwidth of 8.3% can be achieved around this frequency. Then, a parametric analysis is conducted to estimate the significance of the design parameters that affect the antenna's performance. Finally, measured return loss and radiation pattern performance at 5.2 GHz is displayed to validate the principles and simulated results of the design. The measured impedance bandwidth of 10% is achieved. The F/B ratio is 15 dB which is larger than values previously published by 5-10 dB. Additionally, a gain of 10.7 dBi is observed. To the author's knowledge, this is the first microstrip Yagi array antenna presented that has a high gain and a high F/B ratio designed using simple fabrication techniques  相似文献

This paper reports on the study of a new antenna as well as a five-element array prototype developed for communications in K-band and suitable for low temperature co-fired ceramic technology. The radiating element is an open waveguide realized in laminated technology. A special coaxial-to-waveguide transition has also been designed as feed port for measuring the prototypes. The element exhibits a 1 GHz bandwidth centered at 20.7 GHz and a 2.7 dBi gain. In an array configuration, mutual coupling between the elements is lower than -18 dB across the bandwidth. The simulated boresight radiation pattern of a five-element array is stable over the bandwidth and the gain reaches 9.2 dBi at 20.7 GHz. The measurements of the radiation pattern for a 20-degree scan angle, as well as the simulation, demonstrate the scanning capability of this array.  相似文献

An elliptical ring antenna fed by a coplanar waveguide line for ultra-wideband applications is presented. The wideband performance is achieved by extending the length of the elliptical ring's major axis. The elliptical ring antenna has a 2:1 VSWR (return loss <10 dB) from 4.6 to 10.3 GHz and has an average gain of 4.48 dBi. The antenna radiation patterns show a stable variation within its operation band. The parameters determining the antenna wideband characteristic are discussed and the measured performance is presented.  相似文献

提出了一种基于新型人工表面等离子体激元(Spoof Surface Plasmon Polaritons, SSPPs)馈电带有引向器的低剖面宽带八木天线阵列。天线阵列包括两部分:基于人工表面等离子体激元波导的四路宽带功分器和八木天线阵列。人工表面等离子体激元具有高的场局限性,将信号束缚在人工表面等离子体激元的凹槽结构中保证了信号的高效传输,减少了传输损耗。八木天线通过进一步加载引向器结构能够实现端射辐射特性。测试结果表明:天线阵列的回波损耗在4.5 ~6.05 GHz 频率范围内小于-10 dB。天线阵列实际增益在4.5 ~ 6.05 GHz 范围内最高可达11.1 dBi。  相似文献

A study of a UWB array antenna is presented, which is composed of leaf-shaped bowtie radiating elements printed on a dielectric substrate. With the use of a flat reflector, the presented antenna has unidirectional radiation characteristics and higher directivity in comparison with omnidirectional UWB antennas. In the maximum radiation direction of the proposed antenna, the actual gain of 10.3-13.3 dBi is achieved over the frequency range of 4.1-10.0 GHz (-3 dB gain bandwidth of 91%).  相似文献

设计了一种单层式跨频段双频双极化滤波天线。该天线在同一平面上的高频低频辐射贴片共用一个馈电端口,且均可以在两个垂直方向馈电实现交叉方向的线极化辐射。该天线通过在馈电点与低频辐射贴片之间插入一个低通滤波器,明显提高了高频辐射贴片的交叉极化隔离度。研究结果表明,带滤波结构的天线在两个频率点的反射系数小于-20 dB,4.9 GHz的最大增益大于4.8 dBi,26 GHz的最大增益11.7 dBi,〖JP2〗两个辐射频率的辐射方向图均体现良好的线极化特性,且主极化比交叉极化大20 dBi。该天线可作为未来微波与毫米波共用的5G通信终端天线或5G通信基站的MIMO天线阵元,相关技术和结论对于研制一体化集成的双频交叉极化相控阵天线也有重要参考价值。  相似文献

研究了平面等角螺旋天线设计方法。该天线采用渐变线宽带巴伦馈电,实现了不平衡馈电到平衡馈电的转换, 使得在整个频段内的反射损耗小于-10dB。同时通过在天线一侧设置圆台背腔,实现了天线非频变的单向辐射特性,其 增益达7.5dBi。仿真及测试结果显示,该天线具有良好的驻波比及宽频带辐射特性,满足实际使用要求。  相似文献

A novel planar ultrawideband (UWB) antenna with band-notched function. The antenna consists of a radiation patch that has an arc-shaped edge and a partially modified ground plane. The antenna that makes it different from the traditional monopole antenna is the modification in the shape of ground plane, including two bevel slots on the upper edge and two semicircle slots on the bottom edge of the ground plane. These slots improve the input impedance bandwidth and the high frequency radiation performance. With this design, the return loss is lower than 10 dB in 3.1-10.6 GHz frequency range and the radiation pattern is highly similar to the monopole antenna. By embedding a pair of T-shaped stubs inside an elliptical slot cut in the radiation patch, a notch around 5.5 GHz WLAN band is obtained. The average gain is lower than -18 dBi in the stopband, while the patterns and the gains at frequencies other than in the stopband are similar to that of the antenna without the band-notched function.  相似文献
