GIS是地理信息系统(Geography Information System)的简称,地理信息系统是计算机科学与测绘科学结合的产物。与传统意义上的信息系统的根本差异在于,地理信息系统不仅能够存储、分析和表达现实世界中各种对象的属性数据,而且能够处理其空间定位特征,能将空间和属性数据有机结合起来,从空间和属性两个方面对现实对象进行查询、检索和分析,并将结果以各种直观的形式、形象、精确地表达出来。GIS技术是计算机领域的一门新兴技术,它在有线电视网络的规划设计和运营管理中有着广播的应用前景。“基于GIS技术的北京歌华有线电视网络在线设计、维护和管理系统”集管理制度、管理经验、有线电视网络技术、地理信息技术、软件工程、计算机网络技术、数据库技术和其它多方面的计算机主流技术于一体,是地理信息系统在北京市有线电视网络的规划设计和运营管理中的应用。该系统利用地理信息技术将有线电视网络中的组成要素及其相互关系映射到信息空间(Cyberspace),建立有线电视网络的空间信息模型,为企业管理、决策及市民社会生活提供信息服务。本将对该系统的基本设计思想、软件平台、数据组织、系统特点、软件结构与基本功能、数据库设计进行介绍。  相似文献

为配合10年IT总体规划“智慧国2015”的实施.新加坡计划兴建“下一代全国资讯通信基础设施”。该基础设施由无线和有线网络组成,确保“无缝”覆盖全国。网络部署初期速度略低(100Mbit/s),但最终数据传输速率将在1Gbit/s以上。网络将由政府和企业合作部署,独立运营,对公众开放,应用需求预计主要来自移动办公、教育、医疗保健、网格技术等领域。新加坡通信发展管理局(IDA)表示,将对所有适合该网络部署的技术一视同仁,但对满足速度要求的技术予以充分考虑,比如光纤技术等。  相似文献

Belgian politicians, the National Telecommunications Administration (RTT), and the telecommunication industry in general fully realize the major economic, industrial, and social importance of an advanced telecommunications infrastructure for the future of the country. A national effort is therefore underway. This paper describes the specific Belgian telecommunications environment, its development towards an ISDN infrastructure, and evolution towards the integration of telecommunication and distribution services into a uniform broad-band communication network. The present network structures for both telecommunication and distribution services are briefly discussed in this paper. Furthermore, plans and experiments in the area of ISDN are also described. Explanations related to the basic concepts of a national integrated broad-band communication network and possible architectures for a demonstration project are given.  相似文献

Classic telecommunication methods and Internet services are converging. For this reason Telecommunication companies are looking for new ways to include their services in Web 2.0 applications. A strong candidate for the telecommunication infrastructure of the future is the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), an all IP telecommunication core network. In the last few years a new kind of application has increasingly gained popularity: they are known as widgets. Widgets are small but fancy applications based on Web technologies that are very easy to develop. This paper describes a new approach to combining widgets with telecommunication features, such as Voice over IP calls or messaging, using IMS. Our solution includes a new abstraction layer with interfaces for the different telecommunication capabilities. Moreover, we implemented a widget engine that makes these telecommunication interfaces available to its widgets. Our solution allows the rapid development of new IMS client applications and a short time-to-market. The combination of other Web 2.0 services with IMS features becomes an exploitable opportunity.  相似文献

The major premise of this paper is that telecommunication services can play Important roles in rural development. The authors argue that the implementation of a telecommunication infrastructure should be a high priority for development planners. An analysis is presented of the application of telecommunication in rural economic development, sociopolitical organization, and the extension of basic social services. The authors cite examples of applications of two-way audio communication and conference-circuits for remote areas. The tremendous advancement and popularity of wireless access technologies necessitates the convergence of multimedia (audio, video, and text) services on a unified global (seamless) network infrastructure. Circuit-switched proprietary telecommunication networks are evolving toward more cost-effective and uniform packet-switched networks such as those based on IP. However, one of the key challenges for the deployment of such wireless Internet infrastructure is to efficiently manage user mobility. To provide seamless services to mobile users, several protocols have been proposed over the years targeting different layers in the network protocol stack. In this article we present a cross-layer perspective on the mobility protocols by identifying the key features of their design principles and performance issues. An analysis of the signaling overhead and handoff delay for some representative protocols in each layer is also presented. Our conclusion is that although the application layer protocol is worse than the protocols operating in the lower layers, in terms of handoff delay and signaling overhead, it is better suited as a potential mobility solution for the next-generation heterogeneous networks, if we consider such factors as protocol stack modification, infrastructure change, and inherent operational complexity.  相似文献
