With industrial upgrading and change of times, the price of bulk commodities changes more and more frequently, and the operational risk of related industries is also increasingly prominent. With the rapid development of finance and derivatives, hedging has become an important way for related enterprises to avoid risks. However, the low efficiency of hedging becomes an important factor restricting related enterprises to use hedging to avoid risks. Therefore, this paper compares several models commonly used in academic and commercial circles, and tries to find a suitable hedging model for copper futures through empirical method. After testing, the ECM model considering the cointegration relationship between time series can better measure hedging ratio.     

Defining the perceived functions of purchasing personnel.

To identify the functions performed by a purchasing division as perceived by company employees using the purchasing service, a 42-item mail-out questionnaire was constructed from intensive interviews. Questionnaire responses were factor analyzed by the centroid method and rotated to approximated simple structure. 8 factors were obtained, namely: buying supplies, equipment and services; protecting company's capital and assets; "customer" requisitioner activities; optimizing inventory; controlling risks in dealing with vendors; assuring the purchase of standard, high quality commodities; enforcing government regulations; and assuring vendor performance. Factor scores assumed to reflect importance as perceived by respondents showed low correlations with requisition frequency and average dollar value of the requisitions they submit. Silica is ubiquitous in the earth's crust. It occurs in trace to large quantities in rocks and soil. Because it is so common, the regulation of silica has affected a large number of industries, including the mining industry and any industry that uses quartz in the manufacture of a products. Mineral commodities that contain silica include diatomite, bentonite, kaolinite, talc, pyrophyllite, sand and gravel, perlite, pumice, dimension stone, and barite. Products that contain minerals, many of which are associated with silica, include paint, paper, rubber, plastic, pharmaceuticals, food, cement, plaster, cat litter, potting soil, plaster board, and miscellaneous construction materials. In collaboration with some agencies and academic centers, the silica industry is supporting research to lower health risks and to improve the methods of detecting this common material.     

基于单纯形法的大宗商品车货匹配优化

大宗商品运输,尤其是钢卷的汽运运输量较大,但是配载过程存在较严重的运力分配不均匀问题,导致运力浪费。为此,对大宗商品车货匹配优化进行研究,采集大宗货物和车辆的数据后,依据标准建立车货匹配最优模型,采用线性规划单纯形法求解,得出车辆与货物的最佳匹配关系,从而提高运输企业利润和运输能力。     

Behavioral effects of price changes in a token economy.

A total of 33 male psychiatric patients who participated in a token system were exposed to changes in the token price of available commodities in 2 experiments. In Exp I the price of cigarettes was first raised, then lowered. As predicted, consumption of cigarettes decreased during price increases and increased during price decreases. Contrary to expectations, Ss did not consume less of other commodities or increase their earnings in order to purchase cigarettes at the higher prices. In Exp II, which again raised and lowered the price of cigarettes, evidence was found for the notion that the proportional price change rather than the absolute price change governed cigarette consumption behavior.
