Advanced feature extraction for keyblock-based image retrieval 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Keyblock, which is a new framework we proposed for content-based image retrieval, is a generalization of the text-based information retrieval technology in the image domain. In this framework, keyblocks, which are analogous to keywords in text document retrieval, can be constructed by exploiting the vector quantization method which has been used for image compression. Then an image can be represented as a code matrix in which the elements are the indices of the keyblocks in a codebook. Based on this image representation, information retrieval and database analysis techniques developed in the text domain can be generalized to image retrieval. In this paper, we present new models named n-block models which are the generalization of the n-gram models in language modeling to extract comprehensive image features. The effort to capture context in a text document motivated the n-gram models. Similarly, the attempt to capture the content in an image motivates us to consider the correlations of keyblocks within an image. By comparing the performance of our approach with conventional techniques using color feature and wavelet texture feature, the experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of these n-block models. 相似文献

With the great demand for storing and transmitting images as well as their managing, the retrieval of compressed images is a field of intensive research. While most of the works have been devoted to the case of losslessly encoded images (by extracting features from the unquantized transform coefficients), new studies have shown that lossy compression has a negative impact on the performance of conventional retrieval systems. In this work, we investigate three different quantization schemes and propose for each one an efficient retrieval approach. More precisely, the uniform quantizer, the moment preserving quantizer and the distribution preserving quantizer are considered. The inherent properties of each quantizer are then exploited to design an efficient retrieval strategy, and hence, to reduce the drop of retrieval performances resulting from the quantization effect. Experimental results, carried out on three standard texture databases and a color dataset, show the benefits which can be drawn from the proposed retrieval approaches. 相似文献

针对轮廓波检索系统检索率较低、检索速度较慢等问题,提出一种小波-轮廓波纹理图像检索系统。该系统在最细节尺度子空间采用轮廓波变换,而在其他子空间采用小波变换,以变换域子带系数的能量和标准偏差序列作为特征向量,Canberra距离为相似度标准。采用Brodatz纹理数据库中的109幅640×640的纹理图像为实验对象,比较了基于同样架构的轮廓波变换和小波-轮廓波纹理检索系统的性能。实验结果表明:后者具有较高的检索率、较快的检索速度和较少的特征向量数据库存储空间。 相似文献

遥感图像分类是遥感图像处理领域中的一个重要的研究方向,传统的遥感图像分类方法根据像素值进行分类,忽视了遥感影像中丰富的纹理特征信息.小波分析通过引入宽度可变的窗口,可以同时对信号的局部信息进行频率域和时间域的变换.小波分析算法可以有效地提取出图像中的纹理特征信息.支持向量机算法是20世纪90年代提出的一种新的机器学习算法,通常被用来进行模式识别和分类.结合小波纹理提取算法,利用支持向量机进行遥感图像分类.研究结果表明,结合纹理特征的支持向量机分类的效果优于直接对灰度图像进行分类. 相似文献

This paper presents the development and evaluation of a visual texture feature extraction method based on a stochastic field model of texture. Results of recent visual texture discrimination experiments are reviewed in order to establish necessary and sufficient conditions for texture features that are in agreement with human discrimination. A texture feature extraction technique involving autocorrelation function measurement of a texture field, combined with histogram representation of a statistically decorrelated version of the texture field, is introduced. 针对轮廓波变换纹理图像检索系统检索率较低的问题,提出了一种基于较强抗混叠能力的Contourlet-1.3纹理图像检索系统。该系统采用的Contourlet-1.3变换由抗混叠临界下采样拉普拉斯金字塔级联临界下采样方向滤波器构成,特征向量采用变换域子带系数的能量和标准偏差连接而成,以Canberra距离为相似度度量标准。实验结果表明:在特征向量长度、检索时间、所需存储空间基本相同的情况下,基于抗混叠Contourlet-1.3的检索系统比相同架构的轮廓波变换、无下采样轮廓波变换以及Contourlet-2.3检索系统具有更高的检索率;该检索系统中抗混叠Contourlet变换分解结构参数的选择对于检索率也有较大影响。 相似文献

提出一种基于Gabor变换的旋转不变多尺度广义粗糙度特征向量并结合自适应加权距离进行纹理图像检索的方法。利用图像Gabor分解的幅度谱,依据多尺度空间局部能量分布、Hurst分形指数、方向差别来计算纹理特征向量,最后采用自适应加权的街区距离作为相似性准则。仿真结果表明,该算法对旋转纹理图像取得了很好的检索结果。 相似文献
