A thorough requirements analysis is indispensable for developing and implementing safety-critical software systems such as nuclear power plant (NPP) software systems because a single error in the requirements can generate serious software faults. However, it is very difficult to completely analyze system requirements. In this paper, an effective technique for the software requirements analysis is suggested. For requirements verification and validation (V&V) tasks, our technique uses software inspection, requirement traceability, and formal specification with structural decomposition. Software inspection and requirements traceability analysis are widely considered the most effective software V&V methods. Although formal methods are also considered an effective V&V activity, they are difficult to use properly in the nuclear fields as well as in other fields because of their mathematical nature. In this work, we propose an integrated environment (IE) approach for requirements, which is an integrated approach that enables easy inspection by combining requirement traceability and effective use of a formal method. The paper also introduces computer-aided tools for supporting IE approach for requirements. Called the nuclear software inspection support and requirements traceability (NuSISRT), the tool incorporates software inspection, requirement traceability, and formal specification capabilities. We designed the NuSISRT to partially automate software inspection and analysis of requirement traceability. In addition, for the formal specification and analysis, we used the formal requirements specification and analysis tool for nuclear engineering (NuSRS).  相似文献

Battery manufacturing systems are characterised by their complex dynamics subject to constant changes caused by technology insertion, engineering modifications, as well as disruption events. To support daily operation, distributed sensors are used to provide real-time data describing the status of each process. Despite the big potential in improving productivity, the advantages of distributed sensor networks are not fully realised for overall system efficiency due to a lack of system-level modelling. Motivated by this need, we develop an event-based modelling (EBM) approach to quantify the systematic impacts of stations and supporting activities with an index called permanent production loss. EBM instantaneously captures the system dynamics using distributed sensor information and provides a severity ranking of stations and supporting activities. We also study the system dynamics of serial production lines with multiple slowest stations and quantify the impacts of disruption events to the production system. A case study is conducted to demonstrate the application of EBM in a battery production system and its ability to facilitate decision-making at plant floor on resources and budget allocation.  相似文献

The corrosion inhibition efficiency (IE) of four di-alkyl derivatives of uracil and thymine and six 1,2,3-triazole benzyl derivatives of uracil and thymine compounds was measured in the system: pipeline steel grade API 5L X52/1 M HCl using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The influence of the inhibitor concentration, 5–200 ppm, on the IE of all these compounds was determined. The results obtained showed that in all cases, the IE increased with increasing inhibitor concentration, and that, except for one of the di-alkyl derivatives of uracil, that was capable of attaining solely an IE of 84% at 200 ppm, the remainder displayed IEs greater that 90% at rather low concentrations, namely around 20 ppm. In this sense, the most remarkable inhibitor was one of the 1,2,3-triazole benzyl derivative of uracil, which gave 96% IE with merely 5 ppm. For all cases, it was found that these inhibitors follow a physisorption mechanism, which can be adequately described by the Langmuir isotherm. Moreover, it is shown that these compounds can affect both the anodic and cathodic processes, thus it can be classified as a mixed-type inhibitor capable of blocking both anodic and cathodic sites on the API 5L X52 steel surface immersed in HCl. The influence of the steel immersion time on their IE was also assessed in the corroding media for the two most efficient inhibitors. It is shown that even when the IE of both inhibitors diminished practically linearly as a function of time, both can provide adequate protection (IE > 88%) to the steel substrate even after 350 exposure hours to this highly corrosive media.  相似文献
