Ordos Basin has experienced nearly a century of oil-gas exploration since China's first oil exploratory well (Yan-1 well) was drilled in 1907 in Yanchang County, Shaanxi Province. A good prospect for sustained and steady development of oil and gas was thereby opened based on the efforts made by generations of petroleum geologists and oil workers. Especially in recent 10 years, petroleum geologists and oil workers in the basin have constantly emancipated their mind and developed new technologies to solve the complex low permeability geological issues and technical problems of oil-gas exploration. Three major breakthroughs have been successively achieved in Zhi(dan)Jing(bian)-Ansai area of northern Shaanxi Province, Xifeng area of eastern Longdong ( Gansu Province), and Jiyuan region between northern Shaanxi and Eastern Gansu. Ansai, Jing'an, Xifeng, and Jiyuan oilfields with a hundred million tons of oil reserves each have been discovered one after another, in which the new annual additional reserves have topped one hundred million tons for ten consecutive years. By the end of 2004, a total of 36 oilfields have been discovered in the basin, in which proved oil geologic reserves reached 1.31972 billion tons (excluding Yanchang Oilfield).  相似文献

Soaring oil prices have not slowed China's consumption ofoil as statistics show that China's apparent consumption of crude oil and refined oil products both hit record highs in the first quarter of the year. According to statistics recently released by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association (CPCIA), China's apparent consumption of oil products composed of gasoline, diesel and kerosene rose by 16.5 percent year on year to 52.73 million tons in the first three months, and crude oil, rose by eight percent to 91.8 million tons. The "apparent consumption" represents the sum of net imports and output and could be taken as an index for the real oil consumption excluding inventory.  相似文献

PetroChina Tarim Oilfield Company, former Tarim Petroleum Exploration & Development Bureau founded in April 1989, is one of the regional subsidiaries under PetroChina Company Limited (PetroChina). It is a large-scale oil company integrated in petroleum exploration and development, oil refining, production of petrochemicals, technological study and marketing business. Headquartered on the bank of Peacock River in Korle City of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the company operates itself in more than 20 counties of five prefectures around Tarim Basin. It has since its foundation adhered to the principles of"adopting new management system and new technology, as well as realizing high-grade and high-efficiency battle for oil", implemented market operation, contract management, professional service, and socialization dependence. The engineering service personnel of the company are mainly from the nation's bigthree oil companies - China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), China National Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec), and China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), while the logistic service mainly depends on the local specialization service personnel. It is the first oil company to establish and implement the standardized system that has approached the international level among all onshore oilfields in China.  相似文献

Despite the current global financial crisis, PetroChina Company Limited, of which China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) is the parent company, plans to increase its investment in its oil and gas business from 60 to 70 percent in 2009. Chairman of PetroChina Jiang Jiemin said at a recent shareholders meeting that PetroChina's losses during the global financial crisis were "limited and under control" because the company has focused the majority of its business on oil and gas production and exploration in the past few years. According to Jiang, PetroChina may adjust its investment structure but will continue to strengthen its core businessas the oil and gas projects are to last generally six to eight years.  相似文献

The oil shortages in China have been becoming more serious in the recent years, which set higher pressure on petroleum exploration in China. In order to increase oil and gas supply and safeguard national energy security, it is critical for China to strengthen oil and gas exploration for more and more oil and gas discoveries. Based on summing up the outcomes of petroleum exploration achieved in the 10th Five-Year Plan period (2001-2005), the paper analyzes the main issues facing China's petroleum exploration currently and in the future. What' s more, it probes into the trends of petroleum exploration in the future and predicts the growth of oil and gas reserves. The strategic trend of petroleum exploration is to "be based on exploration for large basins, look for new exploration areas, maintain the development of eastern China, accelerate the exploration of western China, speed up offshore exploration."[第一段]  相似文献

Continuous growth in oil and gas production China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) hit a record high for oil production again in 2006 by producing 106.64 million tons of oil, 58 percent of the nation's total, and 44.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas, 76 percent of the total.  相似文献

This paper investigates Central Asia's oil and gas resources, special geopolitics and energy competition, and approaches, challenges and prospects in cooperation between China and Central Asia. The objective is to propose measures for oil and gas cooperation between China and Central Asia. Central Asia is rich in oil and gas resources. Its remaining recoverable reserves of crude oil and natural gas account for 1.9% and 10.6 %, respectively, of the world's total reserves. Moreover, there is great exploration and development potential. As a strategic channel connecting Eurasia, Central Asia has a prominent geopolitical status. Many powerful countries such as the United States, Russia and China, as well as Europe, have an intense energy competition in Central Asia. In the oil and gas cooperation with Central Asia, the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) focuses on establishing a coordination group, promoting overall oil and gas business opportunities and sustainable development, innovating and applying specialty engineering technology and improving project economic benefits. Through its efforts over the last nearly two decades, the China National Petroleum Corporation has completed a 50-million-tonne a year oil and gas production centre in Central Asia and oil and gas pipelines passing through multiple countries, becoming an important channel for securing China's energy imports. If appropriate measures are taken in the 'Thirteenth Five-Year Plan' period or later, the China National Petroleum Corporation will develop a 100-million-tonne p.a. oil and gas production centre in Central Asia and a strategic oil and gas import channel exceeding this amount of production. This cooperation between China and Central Asia is however faced with the following challenges: increasing multinational competition uncertainty, potential risks in the political systems of Central Asian countries, frequently occurring violence and also resource policy tightening in Central Asia. To further oil and gas cooperation w  相似文献

China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) firmly consolidated its dominant position in the country's oil and gas production sector in 2008. The largest oil producer in China sees an increase of 466,700 tons in its domestic crude output in the first half over the same period a year earlier. CNPC, the parent of PetroChina, said its production had met 50.03 percent of the full-year target despite the worst snowstorm in more than five decades from January to February and the massive Sichuan earthquake on May 12.  相似文献
