This paper presents a new type of a linear hydraulic stepper drive for sensorless positioning tasks in hydraulics. The drive transforms pulses sent to switching valves into quite precise motion steps. The drive is realized by a hydraulic cylinder piston unit which displaces defined fluid quantums by limited forward strokes of that piston.A test rig (hydraulic cylinder with a hydraulic stepper unit) was built and experiments were performed to study the positioning accuracy, repeatability, linearity and scattering range of the proposed stepper drive concept. Two different step sizes (5 µm and 15 µm) were tested and investigated. Also a computation model was developed for sensorless position estimation and verified by measurements. The results show the quite good accuracy of the model for all tested operating conditions.An application example is studied, the sensorless control of the deflection of an elastic beam. Its experimental testing was done by hardware in the loop simulation, where the computed beam force is imposed to the physical stepper drive via a controlled hydraulic force. The results proof the practical suitability of the drive concept.  相似文献

Human activity recognition is one of the most studied topics in the field of computer vision. In recent years, with the availability of RGB-D sensors and powerful deep learning techniques, research on human activity recognition has gained momentum. From simple human atomic actions, the research has advanced towards recognizing more complex human activities using RGB-D data. This paper presents a comprehensive survey of the advanced deep learning based recognition methods and categorizes them in human atomic action, human–human interaction, human–object interaction. The reviewed methods are further classified based on the individual modality used for recognition i.e. RGB based, depth based, skeleton based, and hybrid. We also review and categorize recent challenging RGB-D datasets for the same. In addition, the paper also briefly reviews RGB-D datasets and methods for online activity recognition. The paper concludes with a discussion on limitations, challenges, and recent trends for promising future directions.  相似文献

Compression and encryption are often performed together for image sharing and/or storage. The order in which the two operations are carried out affects the overall efficiency of digital image services. For example, the encrypted data has less or no compressibility. On the other hand, it is challenging to ensure reasonable security without downgrading the compression performance. Therefore, incorporating one requirement into another is an interesting approach. In this study, we propose a novel hybrid image encryption and compression scheme that allows compression in the encryption domain. The encryption is based on Chaos theory and is carried out in two steps, i.e., permutation and substitution. The lossless compression is performed on the shuffled image and then the compressed bitstream is grouped into 8-bit elements for substitution stage. The lossless nature of the proposed method makes it suitable for medical image compression and encryption applications. The experimental results shows that the proposed method achieves the necessary level of security and preserves the compression efficiency of a lossless algorithm. In addition, to improve the performance of the entropy encoder of the compression algorithm, we propose a data-to-symbol mapping method based on number theory to represent adjacent pixel values as a block. With such representation, the compression saving is improved on average from 5.76% to 15.45% for UCID dataset.  相似文献

This article describes a comprehensive approach to mismatch simulation and modeling as needed for integrated circuit design. Local device mismatch as well as global process variations and parameter correlations are regarded. A method for mismatch modeling based on spatial frequencies is described, which enables to overcome insufficiencies of the first order models. Measurement results are presented to demonstrate the achieved modeling precision. All models and methods mentioned here are commercially available in the simulation tool GAME (General Analysis of Mismatch Effects) which is used in the semiconductor industry since 1998.  相似文献

In this paper, we present an optimized design method for high-speed embedded image processing system using 32 bit floating-point Digital Signal Processor (DSP) and Complex Programmable Logic Device (CPLD). The DSP acts as the main processor of the system: executes digital image processing algorithms and operates other devices such as image sensor and CPLD. The CPLD is used to acquire images and achieve complex logic control of the whole system. Some key technologies are introduced to enhance the performance of our system. In particular, the use of DSP/BIOS tool to develop DSP applications makes our program run much more efficiently. As a result, this system can provide an excellent computing platform not only for executing complex image processing algorithms, but also for other digital signal processing or multi-channel data collection by choosing different sensors or Analog-to-Digital (A/D) converters.  相似文献

With rapid advancement of Cloud computing and networking technologies, a wide spectrum of Cloud services have been developed by various providers and utilized by numerous organizations as indispensable ingredients of their information systems. Cloud service performance has a significant impact on performance of the future information infrastructure. Thorough evaluation on Cloud service performance is crucial and beneficial to both service providers and consumers; thus forming an active research area. Some key technologies for Cloud computing, such as virtualization and the Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), bring in special challenges to service performance evaluation. A tremendous amount of effort has been put by the research community to address these challenges and exciting progress has been made. Among the work on Cloud performance analysis, evaluation approaches developed with a system modeling perspective play an important role. However, related works have been reported in different sections of the literature; thus lacking a big picture that shows the latest status of this area. The objectives of this article is to present a survey that reflects the state of the art of Cloud service performance evaluation from the system modeling perspective. Less than 1% of South-Africans donate blood annually. New donors are required, especially from Millennials, who are large in numbers and influential. Being more receptive to social media communications and altruistic, millennials are the hope of safe blood supply. However, the drivers of millennials’ positive attitude and behavioural intentions (BI) towards donating blood need examination. This study used ideas from Social Cognition Theory, Health Belief Model and Theory of Planned Behaviour to examine how social media communications impact blood donation attitudes and behavioural intention through some socio-psychological outcomes among young adult Millennials at a university in South-Africa. Quantitative data was collected from 650 respondents. Structural equation modelling results revealed that social media communications positively impacted awareness, perception, peers, family, and behavioural intention. Motivation, awareness, peers and family positively influenced attitudes, which in turn, predicted blood donation intention. Blood donations agencies and public policy-makers should seek ways to convert Millennials’ positive attitudes and BI into actual blood donation.  相似文献
