Model predictive control (MPC) for Markovian jump linear systems with probabilistic constraints has received much attention in recent years. However, in existing results, the disturbance is usually assumed with infinite support, which is not considered reasonable in real applications. Thus, by considering random additive disturbance with finite support, this paper is devoted to a systematic approach to stochastic MPC for Markovian jump linear systems with probabilistic constraints. The adopted MPC law is parameterized by a mode‐dependent feedback control law superimposed with a perturbation generated by a dynamic controller. Probabilistic constraints can be guaranteed by confining the augmented system state to a maximal admissible set. Then, the MPC algorithm is given in the form of linearly constrained quadratic programming problems by optimizing the infinite sum of derivation of the stage cost from its steady‐state value. The proposed algorithm is proved to be recursively feasible and to guarantee constraints satisfaction, and the closed‐loop long‐run average cost is not more than that of the unconstrained closed‐loop system with static feedback. Finally, when adopting the optimal feedback gains in the predictive control law, the resulting MPC algorithm has been proved to converge in the mean square sense to the optimal control. A numerical example is given to verify the efficiency of the proposed results.  相似文献

A reduced order model predictive control (MPC) is discussed for constrained discrete‐time linear systems. By employing a decomposition method for finite‐horizon linear systems, an MPC law is obtained from a reduced order optimization problem. The decomposition enables us to construct pairs of initial state and control sequence which have large influence on system responses, and it also characterizes the standard LQ control. The MPC law is obtained based on a combination of the LQ control and dominant input sequences over the prediction horizon. The proposed MPC method is illustrated with numerical examples. In this paper, a robust model predictive control (MPC) is designed for a class of constrained continuous-time nonlinear systems with bounded additive disturbances. The robust MPC consists of a nonlinear feedback control and a continuous-time model-based dual-mode MPC. The nonlinear feedback control guarantees the actual trajectory being contained in a tube centred at the nominal trajectory. The dual-mode MPC is designed to ensure asymptotic convergence of the nominal trajectory to zero. This paper extends current results on discrete-time model-based tube MPC and linear system model-based tube MPC to continuous-time nonlinear model-based tube MPC. The feasibility and robustness of the proposed robust MPC have been demonstrated by theoretical analysis and applications to a cart-damper springer system and a one-link robot manipulator.  相似文献

In this paper, we define several instances of model predictive control (MPC) for linear systems, including both deterministic and stochastic formulations. We show by explicit computation of the associated control laws that, under certain conditions, different formulations lead to identical results. This paper provides insights into the performance of stochastic MPC. Amongst other things, it shows that stochastic MPC and traditional MPC can give identical results in special cases. In cases where the solutions are different, we show that the explicit formulation of the problem can give insight into the performance gap.  相似文献

Sufficient conditions for the stability of stochastic model predictive control without terminal cost and terminal constraints are derived. Analogous to stability proofs in the nominal setup, we first provide results for the case of optimization over general feedback laws and exact propagation of the probability density functions of the predicted states. We highlight why these results, being based on the principle of optimality, do not directly extend to currently used computationally tractable approximations such as optimization over parameterized feedback laws and relaxation of the chance constraints. Based thereon, for both cases, stability results are derived under stronger assumptions. A third approach is presented for linear systems where propagation of the mean value and the covariance matrix of the states instead of the complete distribution is sufficient, and hence, the principle of optimality can be used again. The main results are presented for nonlinear systems along with examples and computational simplifications for linear systems.  相似文献

In this paper, a feedback model predictive control method is presented to tackle control problems with constrained multivariables for uncertain discrete‐time nonlinear Markovian jump systems. An uncertain Markovian jump fuzzy system (MJFS) is obtained by employing the Takagi‐Sugeno (T‐S) fuzzy model to represent a discrete‐time nonlinear system with norm bounded uncertainties and Markovain jump parameters. To achieve more generality, the transition probabilities of the Markov chain are assumed to be partly unknown and partly accessible. The predictive formulation adopts an on‐line optimization paradigm that utilizes the closed‐loop state feedback controller and is solved using the standard semi‐definite programming (SDP). To reduce the on‐line computational burden, a mode independent control move is calculated at every sampling time based on a stochastic fuzzy Lyapunov function (FLF) and a parallel distributed compensation (PDC) scheme. The robust mean square stability, performance minimization and constraint satisfaction properties are guaranteed under the control move for all admissible uncertainties. A numerical example is given to show the efficiency of the developed approach. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley and Sons Asia Pte Ltd and Chinese Automatic Control Society  相似文献

In this paper, a new model predictive control framework is proposed for positive systems subject to input/state constraints and interval/polytopic uncertainty. Instead of traditional quadratic performance index, simple linear performance index, linear Lyapunov function, cone invariant set with linear form and linear computation tool are first adopted. Then, a control law that can handle the constraints and robustly stabilise the systems is proposed. The advantages of the new framework lie in the following facts: (1) an equivalent linear problem is formulated that can be easily solved than other problems including the quadratic ones, (2) simple linear index and linear tool can be used based on the essential property of positive systems to achieve the desired control performance and (3) a general model predictive control law without sign restriction is designed. Finally, an attempt of application on mitigating viral escape is provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach.  相似文献

A min-max model predictive control strategy is proposed for a class of constrained nonlinear system whose trajectories can be embedded within those of a bank of linear parameter varying (LPV) models. The embedding LPV models can yield much better approximation of the nonlinear system dynamics than a single LTV model. For each LPV model, a parameter-dependent Lyapunov function is introduced to obtain poly-quadratically stable control law and to guarantee the feasibility and stability of the original nonlinear system. This approach can greatly reduce computational burden in traditional nonlinear predictive control strategy. Finally a simulation example illustrating the strategy is presented. The problem of robust adaptive predictive control for a class of discrete-time nonlinear systems is considered. First, a parameter estimation technique, based on an uncertainty set estimation, is formulated. This technique is able to provide robust performance for nonlinear systems subject to exogenous variables. Second, an adaptive MPC is developed to use the uncertainty estimation in a framework of min–max robust control. A Lipschitz-based approach, which provides a conservative approximation for the min–max problem, is used to solve the control problem, retaining the computational complexity of nominal MPC formulations and the robustness of the min–max approach. Finally, the set-based estimation algorithm and the robust predictive controller are successfully applied in two case studies. The first one is the control of anonisothermal CSTR governed by the van de Vusse reaction. Concentration and temperature regulation is considered with the simultaneous estimation of the frequency (or pre-exponential) factors of the Arrhenius equation. In the second example, a biomedical model for chemotherapy control is simulated using control actions provided by the proposed algorithm. The methods for estimation and control were tested using different disturbances scenarios.  相似文献

In the process industry, there exist many systems which can be approximated by a Hammerstein model. Moreover, these systems are usually subjected to input magnitude constraints. In this paper, a multi-channel identification algorithm (MCIA) is proposed, in which the coefficient parameters are identified by least squares estimation (LSE) together with a singular value decomposition (SVD) technique. Compared with traditional single-channel identification algorithms, the present method can enhance the approximation accuracy remarkably, and provide consistent estimates even in the presence of coloured output noises under relatively weak assumptions on the persistent excitation (PE) condition of the inputs. Then, to facilitate the following controller design, this MCIA is converted into a two stage single-channel identification algorithm (TS-SCIA), which preserves most of the advantages of MCIA. With this TS-SCIA as the inner model, a dual-mode non-linear model predictive control (NMPC) algorithm is developed. In detail, over a finite horizon, an optimal input profile found by solving a open-loop optimal control problem drives the non-linear system state into the terminal invariant set; afterwards a linear output-feedback controller steers the state to the origin asymptotically. In contrast to the traditional algorithms, the present method has a maximal stable region, a better steady-state performance and a lower computational complexity. Finally, simulation results on a heat exchanger are presented to show the efficiency of both the identification and the control algorithms.  相似文献

We address the distributed model predictive control (MPC) for a set of linear local systems with decoupled dynamics and a coupled global cost function. By the decomposition of the global cost function, the distributed control problem is converted to the MPC for each local system associated with a cost involving neighboring system states and inputs. For each local controller, the infinite horizon control moves are parameterized as N free control moves followed by a single state feedback law. An interacting compatibility condition is derived, disassembled and incorporated into the design of each local control so as to achieve the stability of the global closed‐loop system. Each local system exchanges with its neighbors the current states and the previous optimal control strategies. The global closed‐loop system is shown to be exponentially stable provided that all the local optimizers are feasible at the initial time. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

An iterative model predictive control (MPC) scheme for constrained nonlinear systems is presented. The idea of the method is to detour from the solution of a non‐convex optimization problem using a time‐variant linearization of the nonlinear system model that is adjusted iteratively by solving an iterative quadratic programming optimization problem at each sampling time. The main advantage is the faster resolution of the optimization problem by using quadratic programming instead of non‐convex programming and yet, properly describing the nonlinear dynamics of the process being controlled. In this article, a general framework of the method is presented together with a discussion on the conditions under which the iterations converge and on the uncertainty of its results due to the linearization used, as well as some practical considerations about its implementation. The performance of the proposed controller is illustrated via two examples.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

This article investigates model predictive control (MPC) of linear systems subject to arbitrary (possibly unbounded) stochastic disturbances. An MPC approach is presented to account for hard input constraints and joint state chance constraints in the presence of unbounded additive disturbances. The Cantelli–Chebyshev inequality is used in combination with risk allocation to obtain computationally tractable but accurate surrogates for the joint state chance constraints when only the mean and variance of the arbitrary disturbance distributions are known. An algorithm is presented for determining the optimal feedback gain and optimal risk allocation by iteratively solving a series of convex programs. The proposed stochastic MPC approach is demonstrated on a continuous acetone–butanol–ethanol fermentation process, which is used in the production of biofuels.  相似文献

This paper presents a novel interpolation‐based model predictive control (IMPC) for constrained linear systems with bounded disturbances. The idea of so‐called ‘pre‐stabilizing’ MPC is extended by making interpolation among several ‘pre‐stabilizing’ MPC controllers, through which the domain of attraction can be magnificently enlarged. Compared with the standard ‘pre‐stabilizing’ MPC, the proposed approach has the advantage of combining the merits of having a large domain of attraction and a good behavior. Furthermore, such an IMPC problem can be solved off‐line by multi‐parametric programming. The optimal solution is given in an explicitly piecewise affine form. A simple algorithm for the implementation of the explicit MPC control laws is also proposed. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, we address the problem of hybrid control for a class of stochastic non-linear Markovian switching systems. First, a hybrid controller is introduced for the systems. Then under some appropriate assumptions, the stabilization condition for the systems under pure impulsive control is given. Further under impulsive control, the output feedback stabilization problem of the systems is discussed and linear output feedback controllers are designed. Finally a numerical example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.  相似文献

This paper addresses robust constrained model predictive control (MPC) for a class of nonlinear systems with structured time‐varying uncertainties. First, the Takagi‐Sugeno (T‐S) fuzzy model is employed to represent a nonlinear system. Then, we develop some techniques for designing fuzzy control which guarantees the system stabilization subject to input and output constraints. Both parallel and nonparallel distributed compensation control laws (PDC and non‐PDC) are considered. Sufficient conditions for the solvability of the controller design problem are given in the form of linear matrix inequalities. A simulation example is presented to illustrate the design procedures and performances of the proposed methods.
