We consider quadratic stabilization of uncertain switched systems when a switching rule is imposed on state feedback controllers of subsystems. A method is proposed to constructively design switching rules for continuous and discrete-time switched systems with norm-bounded time-varying uncertainties. The switching rules designed via this method do not rely on uncertainties, and the switched system is quadratically stabilizable via switched state feedback for all uncertainties. 相似文献

This paper studies open-loop stabilization problem for bimodal systems with continuous vector field. It is based on the earlier work of the authors on the controllability problem for the same class of systems. A full characterization of stabilizability is established by presenting algebraic necessary and sufficient conditions. It is also shown that controllability implies stabilizability for these systems in a very similar fashion to the linear case. 相似文献

This paper deals with the problem of quadratic stability analysis and quadratic stabilization for uncertain linear discrete-time systems with state delay. The system under consideration involves state time delay and time-varying norm-bounded parameter uncertainties appearing in all the matrices of the state-space model. Necessary and sufficient conditions for quadratic stability and quadratic stabilization are presented in terms of certain matrix inequalities, respectively. A robustly stabilizing state feedback controller can be constructed by using the corresponding feasible solution of the matrix inequalities. Two examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. 相似文献

This article studies the exponential stabilization problem for discrete-time switched linear systems based on a control-Lyapunov function approach. It is proved that a switched linear system is exponentially stabilizable if and only if there exists a piecewise quadratic control-Lyapunov function. Such a converse control-Lyapunov function theorem justifies many of the earlier synthesis methods that have adopted piecewise quadratic Lyapunov functions for convenience or heuristic reasons. In addition, it is also proved that if a switched linear system is exponentially stabilizable, then it must be stabilizable by a stationary suboptimal policy of a related switched linear-quadratic regulator (LQR) problem. Motivated by some recent results of the switched LQR problem, an efficient algorithm is proposed, which is guaranteed to yield a control-Lyapunov function and a stabilizing policy whenever the system is exponentially stabilizable. 相似文献

The main objective of this paper is to present a unified dissipativity approach for stability analysis of piecewise smooth (PWS) systems with continuous and discontinuous vector fields. The Filippov definition is considered for the solution of these systems. Using the concept of generalized gradients for nonsmooth functions, sufficient conditions for the stability of a PWS system are formulated based on Lyapunov theory. The importance of the proposed approach is that it does not need any a-priori information about attractive sliding modes on switching surfaces, which is in general difficult to obtain. A section on application of the main results to piecewise affine (PWA) systems followed by a section with extensive examples clearly show the usefulness of the proposed unified methodology. In particular, we present an example with a stable sliding mode where the proposed method works and previously suggested methods fail. 相似文献

We derive conditions for quadratic stabilizability of linear networked control systems by dynamic output feedback and communication protocols. These conditions are used to develop a simultaneous design of controllers and protocols in terms of matrix inequalities. The obtained protocols do not require knowledge of controller and plant states but only of the discrepancies between current and the most recently transmitted values of nodes’ signals, and are implementable on controller area networks. We demonstrate on a batch reactor example that our design guarantees quadratic stability with a significantly smaller network throughput than previously available designs. 相似文献

function of all the closed-loop subsystems is constructed to realize quadratic stabilizability of the class of switched nonlinear
systems under an arbitrary switching law. The results of this paper are also applied to switched linear systems.

This paper presents an H∞ controller design method for pieccwise discrete time linear systems based on a piecewise quadratic Lyapunov function. It is shown that the resulting closed loop system is globally stable with guaranteed H∞ perfomiance and the controller can be obtained by solving a set of bilinear lnatrLx inequalities. It has been shown that piecewise quadratic Lyapunov functions are less conservative than the global qnadnmc Lyapunov functions. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the problem of quadratic stability and stabilization in switched linear systems using reducible Lie algebra. First, we investigate the structure of all real invariant subspaces for a given linear system. The result is then used to provide a comparable cascading form for switching models. Using the common cascading form, a common quadratic Lyapunov function is (QLFs) is explored by finding common QLFs of diagonal blocks. In addition, a cascading Quaker Lemma is proved. Combining it with stability results, the problem of feedback stabilization for a class of switched linear systems is solved. 相似文献

In this paper, stability and disturbance attenuation issues for a class of Networked Control Systems (NCSs) under uncertain access delay and packet dropout effects are considered. Our aim is to find conditions on the delay and packet dropout rate, under which the system stability and H∞ disturbance attenuation properties are preserved to a desired level. The basic idea in this paper is to formulate such Networked Control System as a discrete-time switched system. Then the NCSs’ stability and performance problems can be reduced to the corresponding problems for switched systems, which have been studied for decades and for which a number of results are available in the literature. In this paper, the problems of stability and stabilization for linear systems with time-varying delays and norm-bounded parameter uncertainties are considered. By constructing augmented Lyapunov functionals and utilizing auxiliary function-based integral inequalities, improved delay-dependent stability and stabilization criteria for guaranteeing the asymptotic stability of the system are proposed with the framework of linear matrix inequalities. Four numerical examples are included to show that the proposed results can reduce the conservatism of stability and stabilization criteria by comparing maximum delay bounds. 相似文献

This paper investigates the quadratic stability and stabilization of a class of matrix second‐order time‐varying systems. All the system matrices including the second‐order differential coefficient matrix are assumed to have the time‐varying norm‐bounded parameters. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the quadratic stability and stabilization of such time‐varying systems are derived. All the results are obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities.
