There is chronic dissatisfaction among both faculty and students about the process and effectiveness of resident performance evaluation. The author asserts that the source of this problem is the current practice of merging the two different purposes for evaluation: to monitor residents' meeting of performance standards and to provide guidance for residents' professional development. By attempting to meet both quality-control and guidance obligations using one set of objective data, most residency programs fall short in meeting one of these aims. The common preoccupation with psychometric precision, objectivity, and the statistical processing of forms frequently distracts users from making effective use of evaluation information. The proposed solution is to divide resident evaluation into two simpler, entirely separate and distinct systems--neither of which would look much like the current system. There would be a faculty-controlled, quality-control system focused on screening for minimal performance standards. This would use simple, qualitative measures for early warning and rapid follow-up. The second evaluation system would be a resident-controlled, guidance-oriented system focused on self-assessment, peer and faculty coaching, and reflection. The hypothesized benefits of this approach include an improvement in residents' motivation and performance, an increase in residents' self-direction, and an enhancement of communication between residents and faculty members. 相似文献

传统钢铁产品评价体系是“合格”与“不合格”的二值评价,“合格”门槛之上产品的质量差异长期被忽略,是造成近年来低价中标、劣币驱逐良币等质量困局的重要因素。钢铁材料产线质量能力分级评价方法,是变标准门槛评价为分级评价,使得优秀的钢铁企业在追求产品合格率100%以后有新的质量目标,满足用户行业采购原材料的差异化需求。钢铁材料产线质量能力分级采用质量全要素量化评价与产品大数据结合的方法,在专家经验的支持下,通过建立包括价值函数、工序评价和质量遗传模型的分级评价模型,将产品在合格线以上的差异加以量化区分,可真实全面地反映不同企业、不同产线的产品质量能力。其关键技术包括3组模型,价值函数模型将传统的依据标准的二值评价变为连续评价,工序评价模型将传统的产品样品考核扩展到对应的生产工序的能力考核,质量遗传模型引入了传统评价中缺失的对原材料质量和产线组合的考核。该评价方法的模型全部采用客观数据。目前,已经结合用户需求对中厚板等多类钢铁产品开展了质量能力分级评价,并发布了国内首批质量能力分级评价T/CISA团体标准。质量分级评价首先在钢铁材料领域提出并走向应用,对于以原材料、配套生产工艺为要素产出产品的典型生产流程具有很好的适用性,该评价方法可进一步扩展至钢铁材料以外的原材料行业和装备制造行业。 相似文献

A production planning system is designed for the whole steelmaking process, which includes desulfurization, vanadium extraction, steelmaking and continuous casting processes of Panzhihua Iron and Steel Corporation. The system is composed of modeling module, data interface module, data analysis module, static planning module, re-planning module, plan evaluation module, plan simulation module and human-computer interaction module. The system is connected with the L3 system of steel plant by using the data interface module, which can receive the real time scheduling information to make the static plan and re-plan under production disturbances. The simulation and plan evaluation function of the system can assist decision-maker to check and modify the production plan. The simulation experiments with real process data show that the system can make a feasible, executable, and effective production plan, and deal with primary random disturbances during production process timely. 相似文献

An expert system skeleton tool of sintering process was constructed using object-oriented method, which can actualize two functions, i. e. , the shell function and the program function. The skeleton tool offered a platform to build a prototype system, to program class code, and to develop the expert system. Four branch expert systems were developed using the skeleton tool including the control of chemical composition, the control of sintering process state, the control of expended energy, and the diagnosis of abnormity.
