电话网是覆盖最广的电信业务网,湖北省内窄带综合业务数字网（Ｎ－ＩＳＤＮ）和智能网（ＩＮ）建设应与ＰＳＴＮ综合考虑,湖北省Ｎ－ＩＳＤＮ的发展目标是在２０００年前完成由叠加网向混合网的转变,并实现和各公用网络的互连互联,省内智能网的建设则根据湖北省的实际情况采用ＴＳ／ＳＳＰ／ＩＰ方案,智能网还将实现为与移动网和ＩＮＴＥＲＮＥＴ的结合。

Paris: An approach to integrated high-speed private networks

This paper describes a design of a high-speed packet switching system for integrated voice, video and data communications. The system makes use of a simplified network architecture in order to achieve the low packet delay and high nodal throughput necessary for the transport of voice and video. A prototype of this system has been implemented and is now being tested under a variety of packet traffic loads. We have demonstrated that this system provides a cost-effective solution for private integrated networks.     

中国传真网的预测与研究

本文简介了传真机和传真网的发展进程，分析了我国传真业务的发展环境，并结合国际经验和我国实情对２０００年之内的传真市场进行了预测，最后就我国传真网的组建提出了自己的见解。     

在广域网上使用IPX协议访问Oracle分布式数据库

Services and supporting architecture of the ESA OBP system

The ESA on-board processing (OBP) satellite system using on-board regeneration and baseband circuit switching has been designed to provide ISDN connectivity and services to users on a Pan-European basis. It is thus seen at its periphery as a 2 Mb/s primary rate access, hence allowing for the interconnection of equipment and terminals compatible with this standard interface. Among the various possible network architectures that the system could support, the business-oriented closed networks look most promising. It has therefore been retained as a prime design driver for OBP system developments. Optionally, connectivity can be offered in an optimized manner to pure data networks, e.g. for LAN-to-LAN interconnection at rates up to 1 Mb/s. In the paper, communication services and networking capabilities offered by the system are briefly reviewed. The internal characteristics of the satellite system allowing for such capabilities are then reviewed and the corresponding performance outlined. The system is shown to be compatible with critical CCITT performance criteria.

World-wide standardization of broadband ISDN

A growing market demand for high-performance voice, data, image and video networks, coupled with advances in high-speed technologies has heightened interest in broadband ISDN (BISDN) throughout the world. Network providers, equipment manufacturers and standards bodies are working jointly to accelerate the definition of BISDN interfaces in anticipation of emerging market opportunities. BISDN is being designed as the foundation upon which to implement very flexible, high-bandwidth, high-performance networks. A multiplexing concept called asynchronous transfer mode (ATM), which can offer bandwidth on demand at rates exceeding 150 Mb/s, high-speed packet switching, and an efficient protocol which adapts existing information streams into the ATM format are key attributes of the emerging BISDN network standards. This paper reviews the motivations behind BISDN, explains its key attributes and challenges and discusses possible strategies for evolving today's network toward BISDN.     

网络简化与多业务交换

PSTN（公用交换电话网）将逐渐向分组化和宽带化的方向演变,在演变过程中,PSTN的网络简化与采用多业务交换平台,将起重要的作用。文中对这两方面作一简要介绍,说明网络简化的目标和应考虑的实际问题,包括远端交换模块和转接局、网关局的合理配置,以及大容量交换系统的选用。并以E-Cube多媒体交换系统为例,说明窄带STM（同步传送模式）和宽带ATM（异步传送模式）的综合交换,窄带业务与IP的结合,以及ATM与IP的结──MPLS（多协议标记交换）。这种多业务交换平台用在ATM／IP骨干网的边缘级,将有利于PSTN与各种新型网络互通。
