Novel donor–acceptor rod–coil diblock copolymers of regioregular poly(3‐hexylthiophene) ( P3HT )‐block‐poly(2‐phenyl‐5‐(4‐vinylphenyl)‐1,3,4‐oxadiaz‐ole) ( POXD ) are successfully synthesized by the combination of a modified Grignard metathesis reaction ( GRIM ) and atom transfer radical polymerization ( ATRP ). The effects of the block ratios of the P3HT donor and POXD pendant acceptor blocks on the morphology, field effect transistor mobility, and memory device characteristics are explored. The TEM, SAXS, WAXS, and AFM results suggest that the coil block fraction significantly affects the chain packing of the P3HT block and depresses its crystallinity. The optical absorption spectra indicate that the intramolecular charge transfer between the main chain P3HT donor and the side chain POXD acceptor is relatively weak and the level of order of P3HT chains is reduced by the incorporation of the POXD acceptor. The field effect transistor (FET) hole mobility of the system exhibits a similar trend on the optical properties, which are also decreased with the reduced ordered P3HT crystallinity. The low‐lying highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) energy level (–6.08 eV) of POXD is employed as charge trap for the electrical switching memory devices. P3HT‐ b ‐POXD exhibits a non‐volatile bistable memory or insulator behavior depending on the P3HT / POXD block ratio and the resulting morphology. The ITO/ P3HT44b‐ POXD18 /Al memory device shows a non‐volatile switching characteristic with negative differential resistance (NDR) effect due to the charge trapped POXD block. These experimental results provide the new strategies for the design of donor‐acceptor rod‐coil block copolymers for controlling morphology and physical properties as well as advanced memory device applications.  相似文献

Conjugated rod‐coil block copolymers provide an interesting route towards enhancing the properties of the conjugated block due to self‐assembly and the interplay of rod‐rod and rod‐coil interactions. Here, we demonstrate the ability of an attached semi‐fluorinated block to significantly improve upon the charge carrier properties of regioregular poly(3‐hexyl thiophene) (rr‐P3HT) materials on bare SiO2. The thin film hole mobilities on bare SiO2 dielectric surfaces of poly (3‐hexyl thiophene)‐block‐polyfluoromethacrylates (P3HT‐b‐PFMAs) can approach up to 0.12 cm2 V?1 s?1 with only 33 wt% of the P3HT block incorporated in the copolymer, as compared to rr‐P3HT alone which typically has mobilities averaging 0.03 cm2 V?1 s?1. To our knowledge, this is the highest mobility reported in literature for block copolymers containing a P3HT. More importantly, these high hole mobilities are achieved without multistep OTS treatments, argon protection, or post‐annealing conditions. Grazing incidence wide‐angle x‐ray scattering (GIWAX) data revealed that in the P3HT‐b‐PFMA copolymers, the P3HT rod block self‐assembles into highly ordered lamellar structures, similar to that of the rr‐P3HT homopolymer. Grazing incidence small‐angle x‐ray scattering (GISAXS) data revealed that lamellar structures are only observed in perpendicular direction with short PFMA blocks, while lamellae in both perpendicular and parallel directions are observed in polymers with longer PFMA blocks. AFM, GIWAXS, and contact angle measurements also indicate that PFMA block assembles at the polymer thin film surface and forms an encapsulation layer. The high charge carrier mobilities and the hydrophobic surface of the block copolymer films clearly demonstrates the influence of the coil block segment on device performance by balancing the crystallization and microphase separation in the bulk morphological structure.  相似文献

Regioregular poly(3‐hexyl thiophene) (RR P3HT) is drop‐cast to fabricate field‐effect transistor (FET) devices from different solvents with different boiling points and solubilities for RR P3HT, such as methylene chloride, toluene, tetrahydrofuran, and chloroform. A Petri dish is used to cover the solution, and it takes less than 30 min for the solvents to evaporate at room temperature. The mesoscale crystalline morphology of RR P3HT thin films can be manipulated from well‐dispersed nanofibrils to well‐developed spherulites by changing solution processing conditions. The morphological correlation with the charge‐carrier mobility in RR P3HT thin‐film transistor (TFT) devices is investigated. The TFT devices show charge‐carrier mobilities in the range of 10–4 ~ 10–2 cm2 V–1 s–1 depending on the solvent used, although grazing‐incidence X‐ray diffraction (GIXD) reveals that all films develop the same π–π‐stacking orientation, where the <100>‐axis is normal to the polymer films. By combining results from atomic force microscopy (AFM) and GIXD, it is found that the morphological connectivity of crystalline nanofibrils and the <100>‐axis orientation distribution of the π–π‐stacking plane with respect to the film normal play important roles on the charge‐carrier mobility of RR P3HT for TFT applications.  相似文献

The time‐of‐flight method has been used to study the effect of P3HT molecular weight (Mn = 13–121 kDa) on charge mobility in pristine and PCBM blend films using highly regioregular P3HT. Hole mobility was observed to remain constant at 10?4 cm2V?1s?1 as molecular weight was increased from 13–18 kDa, but then decreased by one order of magnitude as molecular weight was further increased from 34–121 kDa. The decrease in charge mobility observed in blend films is accompanied by a change in surface morphology, and leads to a decrease in the performance of photovoltaic devices made from these blend films.  相似文献

Organic field‐effect transistor (FET) memory is an emerging technology with the potential to realize light‐weight, low‐cost, flexible charge storage media. Here, solution‐processed poly[9,9‐dioctylfluorenyl‐2,7‐diyl]‐co‐(bithiophene)] (F8T2) nano floating gate memory (NFGM) with a top‐gate/bottom‐contact device configuration is reported. A reversible shift in the threshold voltage (VTh) and reliable memory characteristics was achieved by the incorporation of thin Au nanoparticles (NPs) as charge storage sites for negative charges (electrons) at the interface between polystyrene and cross‐linked poly(4‐vinylphenol). The F8T2 NFGM showed relatively high field‐effect mobility (µFET) (0.02 cm2 V?1 s?1) for an amorphous semiconducting polymer with a large memory window (ca. 30 V), a high on/off ratio (more than 104) during writing and erasing with an operation voltage of 80 V of gate bias in a relatively short timescale (less than 1 s), and a retention time of a few hours. This top‐gated polymer NFGM could be used as an organic transistor memory element for organic flash memory.  相似文献

Previous investigations of the field‐effect mobility in poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT) layers revealed a strong dependence on molecular weight (MW), which was shown to be closely related to layer morphology. Here, charge carrier mobilities of two P3HT MW fractions (medium‐MW: Mn = 7 200 g mol?1; high‐MW: Mn = 27 000 g mol?1) are probed as a function of temperature at a local and a macroscopic length scale, using pulse‐radiolysis time‐resolved microwave conductivity (PR‐TRMC) and organic field‐effect transistor measurements, respectively. In contrast to the macroscopic transport properties, the local intra‐grain mobility depends only weakly on MW (being in the order of 10?2 cm2 V?1 s?1) and being thermally activated below the melting temperature for both fractions. The striking differences of charge transport at both length scales are related to the heterogeneity of the layer morphology. The quantitative analysis of temperature‐dependent UV/Vis absorption spectra according to a model of F. C. Spano reveals that a substantial amount of disordered material is present in these P3HT layers. Moreover, the analysis predicts that aggregates in medium‐MW P3HT undergo a “pre‐melting” significantly below the actual melting temperature. The results suggest that macroscopic charge transport in samples of short‐chain P3HT is strongly inhibited by the presence of disordered domains, while in high‐MW P3HT the low‐mobility disordered zones are bridged via inter‐crystalline molecular connections.  相似文献

The field‐effect transistor (FET) and diode characteristics of poly(3‐alkylthiophene) (P3AT) nanofiber layers deposited from nanofiber dispersions are presented and compared with those of layers deposited from molecularly dissolved polymer solutions in chlorobenzene. The P3AT n‐alkyl‐side‐chain length was varied from 4 to 9 carbon atoms. The hole mobilities are correlated with the interface and bulk morphology of the layers as determined by UV–vis spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) with selected area electron diffraction (SAED), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and polarized carbon K‐edge near edge X‐ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) spectroscopy. The latter technique reveals the average polymer orientation in the accumulation region of the FET at the interface with the SiO2 gate dielectric. The previously observed alkyl‐chain‐length‐dependence of the FET mobility in P3AT films results from differences in molecular ordering and orientation at the dielectric/semiconductor interface, and it is concluded that side‐chain length does not determine the intrinsic mobility of P3ATs, but rather the alkyl chain length of P3ATs influences FET diode mobility only through changes in interfacial bulk ordering in solution processed films.  相似文献

As a characteristic feature of conventional conjugated polymers, it has been generally agreed that conjugated polymers exhibit either high hole transport property (p‐type) or high electron transport property (n‐type). Although ambipolar properties have been demonstrated from specially designed conjugated polymers, only a few examples have exhibited ambipolar transport properties under limited conditions. Furthermore, there is, as yet, no example with ‘equivalent’ hole and electron transport properties. We describe the realization of an equivalent ambipolar organic field‐effect transistor (FET) by using a single‐component visible–near infrared absorbing diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP)‐benzothiadiazole (BTZ) copolymer, namely poly[3,6‐dithiene‐2‐yl‐2,5‐di(2‐decyltetradecyl)‐pyrrolo[3,4‐c]pyrrole‐1,4‐dione‐5’,5’’‐diyl‐alt‐benzo‐2,1, 3‐thiadiazol‐4,7‐diyl] ( PDTDPP‐alt‐BTZ ). PDTDPP‐alt‐BTZ shows not only ideally balanced charge carrier mobilities for both electrons (?e = 0.09 cm2V?1s?1) and holes (?h = 0.1 cm2V?1s?1) but also its inverter constructed with the combination of two identical ambipolar FETs exhibits a gain of ~35 that is much higher than usually obtained values for unipolar logic.  相似文献

The morphological, bipolar charge‐carrier transport, and photovoltaic characteristics of poly(3‐alkylthiophene) (P3AT):[6,6]‐phenyl‐C61‐butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) blends are studied as a function of alkyl side‐chain length m, where m equals the number of alkyl carbon atoms. The P3ATs studied are poly(3‐butylthiophene) (P3BT, m = 4), poly(3‐pentylthiophene) (P3PT, m = 5), and poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT, m = 6). Solar cells with these blends deliver similar order of photo‐current yield (exceeding 10 mA cm?2) irrespective of side‐chain length. Power conversion efficiencies of 3.2, 4.3, and 4.6% are within reach using solar cells with active layers of P3BT:PCBM (1:0.8), P3PT:PCBM (1:1), and P3HT:PCBM (1:1), respectively. A difference in fill factor values is found to be the main source of efficiency difference. Morphological studies reveal an increase in the degree of phase separation with increasing alkyl chain length. Moreover, while P3PT:PCBM and P3HT:PCBM films have similar hole mobility, measured by hole‐only diodes, the hole mobility in P3BT:PCBM lowers by nearly a factor of four. Bipolar measurements made by field‐effect transistor showed a decrease in the hole mobility and an increase in the electron mobility with increasing alkyl chain length. Balanced charge transport is only achieved in the P3HT:PCBM blend. This, together with better processing properties, explains the superior properties of P3HT as a solar cell material. P3PT is proved to be a potentially competitive material. The optoelectronic and charge transport properties observed in the different P3AT:PCBM bulk heterojunction (BHJ) blends provide useful information for understanding the physics of BHJ films and the working principles of the corresponding solar cells.  相似文献

The use of electrostatic charge injection (i.e., the transverse field effect) to induce both very large two‐dimensional hole densities (~ 1015 charges cm–2) and metallic conductivities in poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT) is reported. Films of P3HT are electrostatically gated by a solution‐deposited polymer‐electrolyte gate dielectric in a field‐effect‐transistor configuration. Exceptionally high hole field‐effect mobilities (up to 0.7 cm2 V–1 s–1) are measured concurrently with large hole densities, resulting in an extremely large sheet conductance of 200 μS sq.–1. The large room‐temperature conductivity of 1000 S cm–1 together with the very low measured activation energies (0.7–4 meV) suggest that the metal–insulator transition in P3HT is achieved. A maximum in sheet conductance versus charge density is also observed, which may result from near‐filling of the valence band or from charge correlations that lower the carrier mobility. Importantly, the large hole densities in P3HT are achieved using capacitive coupling between the polymer‐electrolyte gate dielectric and P3HT (i.e., the field effect) and not via chemical or electrochemical doping. Electrostatic control of carrier density up to 1015 charges cm–2 (~ 1022 charges cm–3) opens opportunities to explore systematically the importance of charge‐correlation effects on transport in conjugated polymers without the structural rearrangement associated with chemical or electrochemical doping.  相似文献

Hybrid bulk heterojunction solar cells based on nanocrystalline TiO2 (nc‐TiO2) nanorods capped with trioctylphosphine oxide (TOPO) and regioregular poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT) are processed from solution and characterized in order to relate the device function (optical absorption, charge separation, and transport and photovoltaic properties) to active‐layer properties and device parameters. Annealing the blend films is found to greatly improve the polymer–metal oxide interaction at the nc‐TiO2/P3HT interface, resulting in a six‐fold increase of the charge separation yield and improved photovoltaic device performance under simulated solar illumination. In addition, the influence of the organic ligand at the nc‐TiO2 particle surface is found to be crucial for charge separation. Ligand‐exchange procedures applied on the TOPO‐capped nc‐TiO2 nanorods with an amphiphilic ruthenium‐based dye are found to further improve the charge‐separation yield at the polymer–nanocrystal interface. However, the poor photocurrents generated in the hybrid blend devices, before and after ligand exchange, suggest that transport within or between nanoparticles limits performance. By comparison with other donor–acceptor bulk heterojunction systems, we conclude that charge transport in the nc‐TiO2:P3HT blend films is limited by the presence of an intrinsic trap distribution mainly associated with the nc‐TiO2 particles.  相似文献

The effect of controlled thermal annealing on charge transport and photogeneration in bulk‐heterojunction solar cells made from blend films of regioregular poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and methanofullerene (PCBM) has been studied. With respect to the charge transport, it is demonstrated that the electron mobility dominates the transport of the cell, varying from 10–8 m2 V–1 s–1 in as‐cast devices to ≈3 × 10–7 m2 V–1 s–1 after thermal annealing. The hole mobility in the P3HT phase of the blend is dramatically affected by thermal annealing. It increases by more than three orders of magnitude, to reach a value of up to ≈ 2 × 10–8 m2 V–1 s–1 after the annealing process, as a result of an improved crystallinity of the film. Moreover, upon annealing the absorption spectrum of P3HT:PCBM blends undergo a strong red‐shift, improving the spectral overlap with solar emission, which results in an increase of more than 60 % in the rate of charge‐carrier generation. Subsequently, the experimental electron and hole mobilities are used to study the photocurrent generation in P3HT:PCBM devices as a function of annealing temperature. The results indicate that the most important factor leading to a strong enhancement of the efficiency, compared with non‐annealed devices, is the increase of the hole mobility in the P3HT phase of the blend. Furthermore, numerical simulations indicate that under short‐circuit conditions the dissociation efficiency of bound electron–hole pairs at the donor/acceptor interface is close to 90 %, which explains the large quantum efficiencies measured in P3HT:PCBM blends.  相似文献

Solution‐processed small‐molecule bulk heterojunction (BHJ) ambipolar organic thin‐film transistors are fabricated based on a combination of [2‐phenylbenzo[d,d']thieno[3,2‐b;4,5‐b']dithiophene (P‐BTDT) : 2‐(4‐n‐octylphenyl)benzo[d,d ']thieno[3,2‐b;4,5‐b']dithiophene (OP‐BTDT)] and C60. Treating high electrical performance vacuum‐deposited P‐BTDT organic semiconductors with a newly developed solution‐processed organic semiconductor material, OP‐BTDT, in an optimized ratio yields a solution‐processed p‐channel organic semiconductor blend with carrier mobility as high as 0.65 cm2 V?1 s?1. An optimized blending of P‐BTDT:OP‐BTDT with the n‐channel semiconductor, C60, results in a BHJ ambipolar transistor with balanced carrier mobilities for holes and electrons of 0.03 and 0.02 cm2 V?1 s?1, respectively. Furthermore, a complementary‐like inverter composed of two ambipolar thin‐film transistors is demonstrated, which achieves a gain of 115.  相似文献

The crystal structures of the charge‐transfer (CT) cocrystals formed by the π‐electron acceptor 1,3,4,5,7,8‐hexafluoro‐11,11,12,12‐tetracyanonaphtho‐2,6‐quinodimethane (F6TNAP) with the planar π‐electron‐donor molecules triphenylene (TP), benzo[b]benzo[4,5]thieno[2,3‐d]thiophene (BTBT), benzo[1,2‐b:4,5‐b′]dithiophene (BDT), pyrene (PY), anthracene (ANT), and carbazole (CBZ) have been determined using single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction (SCXRD), along with those of two polymorphs of F6TNAP. All six cocrystals exhibit 1:1 donor/acceptor stoichiometry and adopt mixed‐stacking motifs. Cocrystals based on BTBT and CBZ π‐electron donor molecules exhibit brickwork packing, while the other four CT cocrystals show herringbone‐type crystal packing. Infrared spectroscopy, molecular geometries determined by SCXRD, and electronic structure calculations indicate that the extent of ground‐state CT in each cocrystal is small. Density functional theory calculations predict large conduction bandwidths and, consequently, low effective masses for electrons for all six CT cocrystals, while the TP‐, BDT‐, and PY‐based cocrystals are also predicted to have large valence bandwidths and low effective masses for holes. Charge‐carrier mobility values are obtained from space‐charge limited current (SCLC) measurements and field‐effect transistor measurements, with values exceeding 1 cm2 V?1 s1 being estimated from SCLC measurements for BTBT:F6TNAP and CBZ:F6TNAP cocrystals.  相似文献

The influence of the interface of the dielectric SiO2 on the performance of bottom‐contact, bottom‐gate poly(3‐alkylthiophene) (P3AT) field‐effect transistors (FETs) is investigated. In particular, the operation of transistors where the active polythiophene layer is directly spin‐coated from chlorobenzene (CB) onto the bare SiO2 dielectric is compared to those where the active layer is first spin‐coated then laminated via a wet transfer process such that the film/air interface of this film contacts the SiO2 surface. While an apparent alkyl side‐chain length dependent mobility is observed for films directly spin‐coated onto the SiO2 dielectric (with mobilities of ≈10?3 cm2 V?1 s?1 or less) for laminated films mobilities of 0.14 ± 0.03 cm2 V?1 s?1 independent of alkyl chain length are recorded. Surface‐sensitive near edge X‐ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) spectroscopy measurements indicate a strong out‐of‐plane orientation of the polymer backbone at the original air/film interface while much lower average tilt angles of the polymer backbone are observed at the SiO2/film interface. A comparison with NEXAFS on crystalline P3AT nanofibers, as well as molecular mechanics and electronic structure calculations on ideal P3AT crystals suggest a close to crystalline polymer organization at the P3AT/air interface of films from CB. These results emphasize the negative influence of wrongly oriented polymer on charge carrier mobility and highlight the potential of the polymer/air interface in achieving excellent “out‐of‐plane” orientation and high FET mobilities.  相似文献

The photoconductivity of solution‐cast Zn1–xMgxO (x=0‐0.4) and poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT) thin films, and Zn1‐xMgxO/P3HT bilayers is investigated using Time‐Resolved Microwave Conductivity (TRMC) with the aim of determining the locus of free charge carrier generation in the bilayer system. The photoconductivity of Zn1–xMgxO thin films, under illumination with 300 nm laser pulses, is limited by the formation of stable excitons and by scattering of the carriers at grain boundaries. The electron mobility in Zn1–xMgxO films decreases exponentially with Mg concentration, up to x=0.4. In agreement with previous work, free carriers are observed in the P3HT film under illumination with 500 nm pulses in the absence of an acceptor. Under illumination with 500 nm pulses, where only the polymer absorbs, the TRMC signal for the Zn1–xMgxO/P3HT bilayers for x≥0.2 is the same as that of pure P3HT, indicating that free carrier generation in these bilayers occurs predominately by exciton dissociation in the polymer bulk, and not at the interface between the polymer and the solution‐cast oxide. At lower Mg concentrations (x<0.2) the TRMC signal increases with decreasing x following the dependence of the electron mobility in the oxide but its light intensity dependence remains consistent with free carrier generation in the polymer bulk. To explain these results and previously published photovoltaic device data (Adv. Funct. Mater. 2007 , 17, 264) we propose that free carrier generation in the bilayers predominantly occurs in the bulk of P3HT, and is followed by electron injection to the oxide to yield photocurrent in photovoltaic cells. The dependence of the TRMC signal of the bilayers on Mg concentration is explained in terms of the yield for free carrier generation in the polymer and the relative contributions of electrons in the oxide and holes in the polymer.  相似文献

The synthesis of a gelled polymer electrolyte (GPE) using poly(ethylene glycol) blending poly(acrylonitrile) (i.e., PAN‐b‐PEG‐b‐PAN) as a host, dimethyl formamide (DMF) as a plasticizer and LiClO4 as an electrolytic salt for electric double layer capacitors (EDLCs) is reported. The PAN‐b‐PEG‐b‐PAN copolymer in the GPE has a linear configuration for high ionic conductivity and excellent compatibility with carbon electrodes. When assembling the GPE in a carbon‐based symmetric EDLC, the copolymer network facilitates ion motion by reducing the equivalent series resistance and Warburg resistance of the capacitor. This symmetric cell has a capacitance value of 101 F g?1 at 0.125 A g?1 and can deliver an energy level of 11.5 Wh kg?1 at a high power of 10 000 W kg?1 over a voltage window of 2.1 V. This cell shows superior stability, with little decay of specific capacitance after 30 000 galvanostatic charge‐discharge cycles. The distinctive merit of the GPE film is its adjustable mechanical integrity, which makes the roll‐to‐roll assembly of GPE‐based EDLCs readily scalable to industrial levels.  相似文献

The development of nonfullerene acceptor materials applicable to organic photovoltaics (OPVs) has attracted considerable attention for the achievement of a high power conversion efficiency (PCE) in recent years. However, it is still challenging due to the insufficiency of both the variety of effective electron‐deficient units and certain guidelines for the design of such materials. This work focusses on naphtho[1,2‐c:5,6‐c′]bis[1,2,5]thiadiazole (NTz) as a key electron‐deficient unit. Therefore, a new electron‐accepting π‐conjugated compound (NTz‐Np), whose structure is based on the combination of NTz and the fluorene‐containing imide‐annelated terminal units (Np), is designed and synthesized. The NTz‐Np compound exhibits a narrow optical energy gap (1.73 eV), a proper energy level (?3.60 eV) of the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital, and moderate electron mobility (1.6 × 10?5 cm2 V?1 s?1), indicating that NTz‐Np has appropriate characteristics as an acceptor against poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT), a representative donor. OPV devices based on NTz‐Np under the blend with P3HT show high photovoltaic performance with a PCE of 2.81%, which is the highest class among the P3HT/nonfullerene‐based OPVs with the conventional device structure. This result indicates that NTz unit can be categorized as a potential electron‐deficient unit for the nonfullerene acceptors.  相似文献

An ambipolar conjugated polymer CF3‐PBTV, poly(2,2′‐bis(trifluoromethyl)biphenyl‐alt‐2,5‐divinylthiophene), consisting of thienylenevinylene as the donor and trifluoromethyl‐substituted biphenyl as the acceptor has been successfully synthesized. CF3‐PBTV shows solution‐processability without electrically insulating long alkyl side chains. Grazing incidence X‐ray diffraction results suggest a nearly equal population of flat‐on and end‐on domains in CF3‐PBTV thin film. The excellent ambipolarity of CF3‐PBTV is demonstrated by well‐equivalent charge mobilities of 0.065 and 0.078 cm2 V?1 s?1 for p‐ and n‐channel, respectively. The organic field‐effect transistors (OFET) also shows very high on/off ratio (≈107) which is attributed to the relatively large bandgap and low‐lying highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) of CF3‐PBTV. The OFET performance barely changes after the device is stored in ambient conditions for 90 days. The ambient‐stability is attributed to the enhanced oxidative stability from its low‐lying HOMO and the better moisture resistance from its fluorine contents. The performance of CF3‐PBTV based OFET is annealing independent. It is noteworthy that the solution‐processable, ambipolar, and thienylenevinylene‐containing conjugated polymer without any long alkyl side chains is reported for the first time. And to the best of our knowledge, it is the first ambient‐stable, annealing‐free OFET with well‐equivalent ambipolarity.  相似文献

The photovoltaic performance and optoelectronic properties of a donor–acceptor copolymer are reported based on indacenodithienothiophene (IDTT) and 2,3‐bis(3‐(octyloxy)phenyl)quinoxaline moieties (PIDTTQ) as a function of the number‐average molecular weight (Mn). Current–voltage measurements and photoinduced charge carrier extraction by linear increasing voltage (photo‐CELIV) reveal improved charge generation and charge transport properties in these high band gap systems with increasing Mn, while polymers with low molecular weight suffer from diminished charge carrier extraction because of low mobility–lifetime (μτ) product. By combining Fourier‐transform photocurrent spectroscopy (FTPS) with electroluminscence spectroscopy, it is demonstrate that increasing Mn reduces the nonradiative recombination losses. Solar cells based on PIDTTQ with Mn = 58 kD feature a power conversion efficiency of 6.0% and a charge carrier mobility of 2.1 × 10?4 cm2 V?1 s?1 when doctor bladed in air, without the need for thermal treatment. This study exhibits the strong correlations between polymer fractionation and its optoelectronics characteristics, which informs the polymer design rules toward highly efficient organic solar cells.  相似文献
