A theory of complete blow-out off liquid droplets of fuel is developed. The theory is compared to experimental data. The velocity of a droplet is determined relative to the parcel of turbulent air flowing past it, as a function of time. The possibility of combustion of fuel droplets (as individual formations) is demonstrated in the maximal and cruising operating regimes of a gas-turbine engine combustion chamber.Moscow. The first experimental studies of the effect of the laser plasma generated by focused pulsed-periodic radiation of a CO2 laser on the formation and evolution of combustion in a supersonic flow of homogeneous methane-air mixtures are performed. Results of multispectral investigations testify to a principal possibility of combustion initiation by an optical discharge. We present the results of experiments on the organization of kerosene combustion in a two-dimensional model of a hypersonic ramjet engine in conditions of external blow-out by a flow with parameters M=6, p *=(53–55)·105 Pa, T *=1500 K. We studied the operation of some variants of a rectangular combustion chamber with different kerosine injectors and stabilizing elements when hydrogen is used as the ignition fuel. The conditions under which kerosene burns in channels of constant area with divergence angles of 20 and 80, after hydrogen is switched off, are determined.Zhukovskii. The solubility of fully refined paraffin wax (51–54 °C m.p.) in a commercial kerosene has been determined and compared with theoretical and empirical prediction equations. Over the limited range of these experiments the experimental results and the theoretical and empirical curves show similar trends; at concentrations up to about 10 wt % wax the empirical equation seems to predict the experimental results reasonably well, but between 10 and 50 wt % wax the theoretical equation seems more accurate.  相似文献

A supersonic hydrogen—air flow is studied in detail, in particular, the fields of gas-dynamic parameters and chemical homogeneity of the mixture in various cross sections of the duct. The processes of excitation and propagation of a detonation wave in the downstream and upstream directions are considered. The detonation-wave velocity with respect to the mixture flow is found to differ from the nominal Chapman—Jouguet velocity for a quiescent mixture: the detonation-wave velocity is higher if the wave moves upstream and lower if the wave moves downstream.
