This study presents a strategy-aligned fuzzy simple multiattribute rating technique (SMART) approach for solving the supplier/vendor selection problem from the perspective of strategic management of the supply chain (SC). The majority of supplier rating systems obtained their optimal solutions without considering firm operations management (OM)/SC strategy. The proposed system utilizes OM/SC strategy to identify supplier selection criteria. A fuzzy SMART is applied to evaluate the alternative suppliers, and deals with the ratings of both qualitative and quantitative criteria. The final decision-maker incorporates the supply risks of individual suppliers into final decision making. Finally, an empirical study is conducted to demonstrate the procedure of the proposed system and identify the suitable supplier(s). 相似文献

A novel fuzzy multi-criteria decision framework for sustainable supplier selection with incomplete information 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Both academic and corporate interest in sustainable supply chains has increased in recent years. Supplier selection process is one of the key operational tasks for sustainable supply chain management. This paper examines the problem of identifying an effective model based on sustainability principles for supplier selection operations in supply chains. Due to its multi-criteria nature, the sustainable supplier evaluation process requires an appropriate multi-criteria analysis and solution approach. The approach should also consider that decision makers might face situations such as time pressure, lack of expertise in related issue, etc., during the evaluation process. The paper develops a novel approach based on fuzzy analytic network process within multi-person decision-making schema under incomplete preference relations. The method not only makes sufficient evaluations using the provided preference information, but also maintains the consistency level of the evaluations. Finally, the paper analyzes the sustainability of a number of suppliers in a real-life problem to demonstrate the validity of the proposed evaluation model. 相似文献

Fuzzy set theory has been used as an approach to deal with uncertainty in the supplier selection decision process. However, most studies limit applications of fuzzy set theory to outranking potential suppliers, not including a qualification stage in the decision process, in which non-compensatory types of decision rules can be used to reduce the set of potential suppliers. This paper presents a supplier selection decision method based on fuzzy inference that integrates both types of approaches: a non-compensatory rule for sorting in qualification stages and a compensatory rule for ranking in the final selection. Fuzzy inference rules model human reasoning and are embedded in the system, which is an advantage when compared to approaches that combine fuzzy set theory with multicriteria decision making methods. Fuzzy inference combined with a fuzzy rule-based classification method is used to categorize suppliers in qualification stages. Classes of supplier performance can be represented by linguistic terms, which allow decision makers to deal with subjectivity and to express qualification requirements in linguistic formats. Implementation of the proposed method and techniques were analyzed and discussed using an illustrative case. Three defuzzification operators were used in the final selection, yielding the same ranking. Factorial design was applied to test consistency and sensitivity of the inference rules. The findings reinforce the argument that including stages of qualification based on fuzzy inference and categorization makes this method especially useful for selecting from a large set of potential suppliers and also for first time purchase. 相似文献

Since fuzzy quality data are ubiquitous in the real world, under this fuzzy environment, the supplier selection and evaluation on the basis of the quality criterion is proposed in this paper. The Cpk index has been the most popular one used to evaluate the quality of supplier’s products. Using fuzzy data collected from q2 possible suppliers’ products, fuzzy estimates of q suppliers’ capability indices are obtained according to the form of resolution identity that is a well-known theorem in fuzzy sets theory. Certain optimization problems are formulated and solved to obtain α-level sets for the purpose of constructing the membership functions of fuzzy estimates of Cpki. These membership functions are sorted by using a fuzzy ranking method to choose the preferable suppliers. Finally, a numerical example is illustrated to present the possible application by incorporating fuzzy data into the quality-based supplier selection and evaluation. 相似文献

Traditionally, supplier selection should simultaneously take into account numerous heterogeneous criteria, and then is a tedious task for the purchasing decision makers. It becomes especially complicated when quantity discounts are considered at the same time. Under such manner, most studies often formulate such a problem as a Multi-Objective Linear Programming (MOLP) problem, and then scale it down to a Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) problem to handle the inherited multi-objectives simultaneously. However, this approach often neglects to consider scaling and subjective weighting issues. In order to ease the problem mentioned above and to obtain a more reasonable compromise solution for allocating order quantities among suppliers with their quantity discount rate offered, the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and fuzzy compromise programming are introduced in this study. An illustrated example is presented to demonstrate the proposed model and to illuminate two kinds of attitudes for decision makers. The information from the experiments can be utilized further to explain the suppliers’ possible improvement and to help create win–win policies. 相似文献

In this paper, we address a problem in which a storage space constrained buyer procures a single product in multiple periods from multiple suppliers. The production capacity constrained suppliers offer all-unit quantity discounts. The late deliveries and rejections are also incorporated in sourcing. In addition, we consider transportation cost explicitly in decision making which may vary because of freight quantity and distance of shipment between the buyer and a supplier. We propose a multi-objective integer linear programming model for joint decision making of inventory lot-sizing, supplier selection and carrier selection problem. In the multi-objective formulation, net rejected items, net costs and net late delivered items are considered as three objectives that have to be minimized simultaneously over the decision horizon. The intent of the model is to determine the timings, lot-size to be procured, and supplier and carrier to be chosen in each replenishment period. We solve the multi-objective optimization problem using three variants of goal programming (GP) approaches: preemptive GP, non-preemptive GP and weighted max–min fuzzy GP. The solution of these models is compared at different service-level requirements using value path approach. 相似文献

Computer numerical control (CNC) machines are used for repetitive, difficult and unsafe manufacturing tasks that require a high degree of accuracy. However, when selecting an appropriate CNC machine, multiple criteria need to be considered by multiple decision makers. In this study, a multi-criteria group decision making (MCGDM) technique based on the fuzzy VIKOR method is developed to solve a CNC machine tool selection problem. Linguistic variables represented by triangular fuzzy numbers are used to reflect decision maker preferences for the criteria importance weights and the performance ratings. After the individual preferences are aggregated or after the separation values are computed, they are then defuzzified. In this paper, two algorithms based on a fuzzy linguistic approach are developed. Based on these two algorithms and the VIKOR method, a general MCGDM framework is proposed. A CNC machine tool selection example illustrates the application of the proposed approach. A comparative study of the two algorithms using the above case study information highlighted the need to combine the ranking results, as both algorithms have distinct characteristics.

As an extension of type-2 fuzzy numbers (T2 FNs), interval type-2 fuzzy numbers (IT2 FNs) are able to deal more effectively with uncertainty, have better processing abilities, and simpler computations. Because of these abilities, IT2 FNs have been widely applied indecision support systems (DSS). In this paper, to ensure more effective multi-criteria group decision-making in uncertain environments, the elimination and choice translating reality (ELECTRE) method is extended using interval type-2 fuzzy numbers. An α-based distance method is first proposed to measure the proximity between the interval type-2 fuzzy numbers. Then, an entropy measure for the IT2 FNs and an entropy weight model are developed to objectively determine the criteria weights without any weight information. By applying an α-based distance method, the concordance and discordance for each alternative are measured to determine the partial-preference outranking order. A complementary analysis is then conducted to obtain the full rank order of all alternatives. Finally, the feasibility and applicability of the proposed method are detailed using two different practical examples. A sensitivity and comparative analysis are also conducted to demonstrate the strength and practicality of the proposed method. 相似文献

City logistics (CL) tends to increase efficiency and mitigate the negative effects of logistics processes and activities and at the same time to support the sustainable development of urban areas. Accordingly, various measures and initiatives are applying and various conceptual solutions are defining. The effects vary depending on the characteristics of the city. This paper proposes a framework for the selection of the CL concept which would be most appropriate for different participants, stakeholders, and which would comply with attributes of the surroundings. CL participants have different, usually conflicting goals and interests, so it is necessary to define a large number of criteria for concepts evaluation. On the other hand, the importance of the criteria is dependent on the specific situation, i.e., a large number of factors describing the surroundings. In situations like this, selecting the best alternative is a complex multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problem consisting of conflicting and uncertain elements. A novel hybrid MCDM model that combines fuzzy Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory Model (DEMATEL), fuzzy Analytical Network Process (ANP) and fuzzy Višekriterijumska Optimizacija i kompromisno Rešenje (VIKOR) methods is developed in this paper. The model provides support to decision makers (planners, city administration, logistics service providers, users, etc.) when selecting the CL concept, which is successfully performed in this paper for the City of Belgrade. 相似文献

A fuzzy multi-criteria group decision making approach that makes use of quality function deployment (QFD), fusion of fuzzy information and 2-tuple linguistic representation model is developed for supplier selection. The proposed methodology seeks to establish the relevant supplier assessment criteria while also considering the impacts of inner dependence among them. Two interrelated house of quality matrices are constructed, and fusion of fuzzy information and 2-tuple linguistic representation model are employed to compute the weights of supplier selection criteria and subsequently the ratings of suppliers. The proposed method is apt to manage non-homogeneous information in a decision setting with multiple information sources. The decision framework presented in this paper employs ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operator, and the aggregation process is based on combining information by means of fuzzy sets on a basic linguistic term set. The proposed framework is illustrated through a case study conducted in a private hospital in Istanbul. 相似文献

This paper presents a hybrid fuzzy model for group Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM). A modified fuzzy DEMATEL model is presented to deal with the influential relationship between the evaluation criteria. The modified DEMATEL captures such relationship and divides the criteria into two groups, particularly, the cause group and the effect group. The cause group has an influence on the effect group where such influence is used to estimate the criteria weights. In addition, a modified TOPSIS model is proposed to evaluate the criteria against each alternative. Here, a fuzzy distance measure is used in which the distance from the Fuzzy Positive Ideal Solution (FPIS) and Fuzzy Negative Ideal Solution (FNIS) are calculated. The resulted distances were used to calculate the similarity to Ideal and Anti-ideal points. Later, an optimal membership degree (closeness coefficient) of each alternative is computed to estimate to which extent an alternative belongs to both FPIS and FNIS. The closer the degree of membership to FPIS and the farther from FNIS the more preferred the alternative. The membership degree is obtained by the optimization of a defined objective function that measures the degree to which an alternative is similar/dissimilar to the Ideal/Anti-Ideal solutions. The closeness coefficient is used to rank the alternatives. To better have a high contrast between the ranks of alternatives an optimization problem was introduced and solved to maximize the contrast. The presented hybrid model was applied on an industrial case study for the selection of cans supplier/suppliers at Nutridar Factory in Amman-Jordan to demonstrate the proposed model. Finally a sensitivity analysis is introduced to verify the resulting ranks of the available suppliers via testing different values of the used parameters. The sensitivity analysis has shown robust and valid results that are close to real preferences of the consulted experts. 相似文献

The weapon selection problem is a strategic issue and has a significant impact on the efficiency of defense systems. On the other hand, selecting the optimal weapon among many alternatives is a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problem. This paper develops an evaluation model based on the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the technique for order performance by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS), to help the actors in defence industries for the selection of optimal weapon in a fuzzy environment where the vagueness and subjectivity are handled with linguistic values parameterized by triangular fuzzy numbers. The AHP is used to analyze the structure of the weapon selection problem and to determine weights of the criteria, and fuzzy TOPSIS method is used to obtain final ranking. A real world application is conducted to illustrate the utilization of the model for the weapon selection problem. The application could be interpreted as demonstrating the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed model. 相似文献

Configuration change management provides a way for a manufacturer to become more competitive. Because of the short life and the large variety involved in commercial products, they must be configured accordingly. It is a task for the configuration change management. This paper presents an integrated model for modeling the change behavior of product parts, and for evaluating alternative suppliers for each part by applying fuzzy theory, T transformation technology, and genetic algorithms. The proposed model is based on the concepts of part change requirements, fuzzy performance indicators, and the integration of different attributes, to allow the part supplier selection of a specific commercial product to be explored and modeled. The application of this approach is illustrated through a case study of a TFT-LCD product for part change optimization. In terms of change performance, experimental analyses with different genetic parameters allowed the potential alternative suppliers for the product parts to be evaluated. The results of the experimental analyses show that this proposed methodology is a suitable approach and provides a quality solution for products with a complex configuration. In addition, the numerical results obtained from the new approach were compared with the results obtained by linear programming. The result shows that the proposed algorithm is reliable and robust. 相似文献

Logistics tool selection with two-phase fuzzy multi criteria decision making: A case study for personal digital assistant selection 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Efficient logistics and supply chain management are enabled through the use of efficient information technologies (IT). The mobile logistics tools represent the IT interface in the supply chain. This paper aims to aid decision makers to identify the most appropriate mobile logistics tools and to achieve this aim, several evaluation criteria are identified to evaluate logistics tools, and a fuzzy axiomatic design (FAD) based group decision-making method is adopted to perform the evaluation in two phases. In the first phase of pre-assessment, alternatives that cannot meet basic requirements and the defined threshold are eliminated. In the second phase of selection, the remaining alternatives are more meticulously evaluated. Criteria weights are determined using fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and another fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) technique, namely fuzzy technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS), is applied in the second phase to compare the outcome of FAD. A case study is provided in order to demonstrate the potential of the proposed methodology. Personal digital assistants (PDAs) with integrated barcode scanner that are available in the Turkish market are evaluated. 相似文献

This paper aims to ease group decision-making by using an integration of fuzzy AHP (analytic hierarchy process) and fuzzy TOPSIS (technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution) and its application to software selection of an electronic firm. Firstly, priority values of criteria in software selection problem have been determined by using fuzzy extension of AHP method. Fuzzy extension of AHP is suggested in this paper because of little computation time and much simpler than other fuzzy AHP procedures. Then, the result of the fuzzy TOPSIS model can be employed to define the most appropriate alternative with regard to this firm's goals in uncertain environment. Fuzzy numbers are presented in all phases in order to overcome any vagueness in decision making process. The final decision depends on the degree of importance of each decision maker so that wrong degree of importance causes the mistaken result. The researchers generally determine the degrees of importance of each decision maker according to special characteristics of each decision maker as subjectivity. In order to overcome this subjectivity in this paper, the judgments of decision makers are degraded to unique decision by using an attribute based aggregation technique. There is no study about software selection using integrated fuzzy AHP-fuzzy TOPSIS approach with group decision-making based on an attribute based aggregation technique. The results of the proposed approach and the other approaches are compared. Results indicate that our methodology allows decreasing the uncertainty and the information loss in group decision making and thus, ensures a robust solution to the firm. 相似文献

Supplier selection has become a very critical activity to the performance of organizations and supply chains. Studies presented in the literature propose the use of the methods Fuzzy TOPSIS (Fuzzy Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) and Fuzzy AHP (Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process) to aid the supplier selection decision process. However, there are no comparative studies of these two methods when applied to the problem of supplier selection. Thus, this paper presents a comparative analysis of these two methods in the context of supplier selection decision making. The comparison was made based on the factors: adequacy to changes of alternatives or criteria; agility in the decision process; computational complexity; adequacy to support group decision making; the number of alternative suppliers and criteria; and modeling of uncertainty. As an illustrative example, both methods were applied to the selection of suppliers of a company in the automotive production chain. In addition, computational tests were performed considering several scenarios of supplier selection. The results have shown that both methods are suitable for the problem of supplier selection, particularly to supporting group decision making and modeling of uncertainty. However, the comparative analysis has shown that the Fuzzy TOPSIS method is better suited to the problem of supplier selection in regard to changes of alternatives and criteria, agility and number of criteria and alternative suppliers. Thus, this comparative study contributes to helping researchers and practitioners to choose more effective approaches for supplier selection. Suggestions of further work are also proposed so as to make these methods more adequate to the problem of supplier selection. 相似文献
