Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations were introduced as a means to ensure that a given product is processed reliably, repeatedly, consistently, safely and to a high quality. In the pharmaceutical processing industry GMP is an essential part of the production process. Centrifuges are a major processing tool used in this industry. A new slime-benefication technology has been developed at Coal Preparation Plant Neryungrinskaya. In this technology, the product is separated in screen centrifuges. As a result, small particles with relatively high ash content are extracted in the centrifugate. Correspondingly, the cake has the required ash content of ≤10%. Industrial tests indicate that this technology is feasible at the facility. The parameters that ensure most effective slime separation are determined. The new slime-benefication system is simple and characterized by relatively low operating costs: the expected reduction in production costs relative to the existing technology is ∼126 million rub/yr.  相似文献

The continuous output capability of the pusher centrifuge makes it ideal for modern bulk chemical production. However, a drawback of this machine is that it can require an additional pre_thickening step to ensure good separation. Now through an initiative called ‘Centrifuge Technology Solutions’ Ferrum Ltd, Switzerland, has integrated a thickening function into its latest range of pusher centrifuges. Evaluations of the specific cost of producing by gas centrifuges highly enriched 208Pb isotope, which may be used as a coolant and a neutron reflector in promising fast neutron reactors, have been carried out. The methodology originally developed for column type separation elements was applied in the calculations. As raw materials, a mixture of natural lead isotopes and radiogenic lead were considered. In the latter case which the content of the target isotope is nearly 1.5 times greater than in a former one. The price limit for the cost of radiogenic lead was established, up to which lower specific cost of producing highly enriched 208Pb isotope were achieved compared to the natural isotopic mixture.  相似文献

转鼓是离心机的关键部件,其设计正朝着转速更高,直径更大的方向发展,因此鼓壁鼓底等零部件间的相互影响和作用越来越大。这类结构的强度问题更为突出,对强度分析的要求也越来越高。为此,本文提出用三维立体单元对过滤式离心机整个转鼓进行分析。由于此方法对转鼓全部采用三维立体单元进行网格划分,因而可以模拟复杂的局部结构和边界条件。本文对某国产卧式刮刀卸料离心机大直径转鼓的有限元计算结果表明,在转鼓底和拦液板中的应力水平较低;在转筒体中应力水平较高,在开孔周围存在着应力集中现象,最大虚拟弹性应力值远大于材料的屈服限。最后,对该离心机转进行了强度评定  相似文献

Assuring compliance of intermediate and final quality attributes in a continuous pharmaceutical manufacturing campaign is of utmost importance. Application of corrective actions might be required in real‐time. This work exemplifies the steps needed to identify a linear pulse transfer function for the dynamic behavior of the granule liquid‐to‐solid ratio (%w/w) at the end of the granulation unit of a commercial ConsiGmaTM‐25 production line. Near‐infrared spectroscopy was used to monitor the granule composition in‐line. The outcome for both the tracking and regulator problem using either conventional or model predictive control was implemented and evaluated. Dynamic setpoints were correctly followed and an RMSE of 0.25%w/w with respect to the setpoint was obtained when inducing artificial disturbances. Important practical challenges were also tackled. Examples are fouling, computational limitations, and the limited flexibility of the automation software. A new annular centrifugal contactor capable of rapid disassembly for inspection and cleaning is presented. The unique design enhances the utility of this liquid-liquid centrifuge in processes requiring cleaning and inspection of all wetted parts. This new model differs from previous designs in that it can be manufactured to meet the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry. Annular centrifugal contactors are vertical, direct-drive centrifuges providing an efficient mixing and separation device in a single unit. They can be directly coupled for multiple-stage processes. Other features include small hold up volume, rapid start-up and shutdown, variable speed control, interchangeable heavy phase weirs, and very compact size. Mixing and disengaging residence times of 3 and 20 s, respectively, are typical. Single stage efficiencies for processes with rapid kinetics are greater than 90%. Annular centrifugal contactors can be used to convert processes from batch to continuous due to their ability to handle intermittent feed flows and 100% phase ratio changes.  相似文献

Biocatalytic processes (using one or more enzymes) for the production of chemicals is an important potential route to more sustainable manufacturing and today have found application in several industries, but most notably in the pharmaceutical sector. For high-priced pharmaceuticals, the development of new processes is primarily dependent upon enzyme development. However, the wider application of biocatalytic processes towards lower-priced chemicals will demand reaction engineering to be considered, alongside biocatalyst development. Bioreaction engineering should include an evaluation of the thermodynamics and reaction kinetics, as well as the stability of the biocatalyst. In this brief article, tools to assist in the collection and evaluation of reaction engineering data will be discussed, and illustrated using biological oxidation as an example.
