This article addresses the problem of designing an iterative learning control for trajectory tracking of rigid robot manipulators subject to external disturbances, and performing repetitive tasks, without using the velocity measurement. For solving this problem, a velocity observer having an iterative form is proposed to reconstruct the velocity signal in the control laws. Under assumptions that the disturbances are repetitive and the velocities are bounded, it has been shown that the whole control system (robot plus controller plus observer) is asymptotically stable and the observation error is globally asymptotically stable, over the whole finite time-interval when the iteration number tends to infinity. This proof is based upon the use of a Lyapunov-like positive definite sequence, which is shown to be monotonically decreasing under the proposed observer–controller schemes.  相似文献

Decentralized adaptive control of electrically-driven manipulators   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
This paper presents two new decentralized strategies for motion control of uncertain electrically-driven manipulators. The first controller is an adaptive position regulation scheme which ensures semiglobal asymptotic convergence of the position error if no external disturbances are present and semiglobal convergence of the error to an arbitrarily small neighborhood of zero in the presence of bounded disturbances. It is shown that the regulation scheme can be modified to provide accurate trajectory tracking control through the introduction of adaptive feedforward elements in the control law; this second control strategy retains the simple decentralized structure of the first controller and ensures arbitrarily accurate tracking in the presence of bounded disturbances. Each of the adaptive schemes is very efficient computationally and requires virtually no information concerning either the manipulator or actuator models. The results of computer simulations and laboratory experiments with both terrestrial and space manipulators demonstrate that accurate and robust motion control can be achieved by using the proposed approach.  相似文献

Non-singular terminal sliding mode control of rigid manipulators   总被引:48,自引:0,他引:48
Yong  Xinghuo  Zhihong 《Automatica》2002,38(12):2159-2167
This paper presents a global non-singular terminal sliding mode controller for rigid manipulators. A new terminal sliding mode manifold is first proposed for the second-order system to enable the elimination of the singularity problem associated with conventional terminal sliding mode control. The time taken to reach the equilibrium point from any initial state is guaranteed to be finite time. The proposed terminal sliding mode controller is then applied to the control of n-link rigid manipulators. Simulation results are presented to validate the analysis.  相似文献

The paper is concerned with the problem of uncalibrated visual servoing robots tracking a dynamic feature point along with the desired trajectory. A nonlinear observer and a nonlinear controller are proposed, which allow the considered uncalibrated visual servoing robotic system to fulfil the desired tracking task. Based on this novel control method, a dynamic feature point with unknown motion parameters can be tracked effectively along with the desired trajectory, even with multiple uncertainties existing in the camera, the kinematics and the manipulator dynamics. By the Lyapunov theory, asymptotic convergence of the image errors to zero with the proposed control scheme is rigorously proven. Simulations have been conducted to verify the performance of the proposed control scheme. The results demonstrated good convergence of the image errors.  相似文献

This paper introduces a framework for the design of tracking controllers for rigid-link electrically-driven (RLED) robot manipulators operating under constrained and unconstrained conditions. We present an intuitive nonlinear control strategy that can easily be reformulated for robots performing high precision tasks. The main emphasis is placed on the development of controllers that incorporate both motion in freespace and under constrained conditions. Another novelty is the combined treatment of force control and compensation for actuator dynamics. Based on models of the robot dynamics and environmental constraints, a reduced order dynamic model is obtained for the mechanical subsystem with respect to a set of constraint variables. A design procedure for tracking controllers is then formulated for the reduced order manipulator dynamics and the DC actuator dynamics. This paper concentrates on the theoretical aspects of the problem and, hence, is based on exact knowledge of the entire system. However, we have illustrated recently in [1] that this assumption can be generously relaxed in the design of a robust controller following a similar procedure as discussed in this paper.  相似文献

This paper proposes two simple adaptive control schemes of robot manipulators. The first one is the state feedback control which consists of feedforward from the desired position trajectory, PD feedback from the actual trajectory, and an auxiliary input. The second one is the feedforward/feedback control which consists of a feedforward term from the desired position, velocity, and acceleration trajectory based on the inverse of robot dynamics. The feedforward, feedback, and auxiliary gains are adapted using simple equations derived from the decentralized adaptive control theory based on Lyapunov's direct method, and using only the local information of the corresponding joint. The proposed control schemes are computationally fast and do not require a priori knowledge of the detail parameters of the manipulator or the payload. Simulation results are presented in support of the proposed schemes. The results demonstrate that both controllers perform well with bounded adaptive gains.  相似文献

This work addresses the problem of the accurate task‐space control subject to finite‐time convergence. Dynamic equations of a redundant manipulator are assumed to be uncertain. Moreover, globally unbounded disturbances are allowed to act on the manipulator when tracking the trajectory by the end effector. Furthermore, the movement is to be accomplished in such a way as to optimize some performance index. Based on suitably defined task‐space non‐singular terminal sliding vector variable and the Lyapunov stability theory, we derive a class of inverse‐free robust controllers consisting of a Jacobian transpose component plus a compensating term, which seem to be effective in counteracting uncertain dynamics, unbounded disturbances and (possible) kinematic singularities met on the robot trajectory. The numerical simulations carried out for a redundant manipulator of a Selective Compliant Articulated Robot for Assembly (SCARA) type consisting of three revolute kinematic pairs and operating in a two‐dimensional task space illustrate performance of the proposed controllers. This paper presents a noncertainty equivalent adaptive motion control scheme for robot manipulators in the absence of link velocity measurements. A new output feedback adaptation algorithm, based on the attractive manifold design approach, is developed. A proportional-integral adaptation is selected for the adaptive parameter estimator to strengthen the passivity of the system. In order to relieve velocity measurements, an observer is designed to estimate the velocities. The controller guarantees semiglobal asymptotic motion tracking and velocity estimation, as well as L and L2 bounded parameter estimation error. The effectiveness of the proposed controller is verified by simulations for a two-link robot manipulator and a four-bar linkage. The results are further compared with the earlier certainty-equivalent adaptive partial and full state feedback controller to highlight potential closed-loop performance improvements.  相似文献

This paper considers the trajectory tracking problem for uncertain robot manipulators and proposes two adaptive controllers as solutions to this problem. The first controller is derived under the assumption that the manipulator state is measurable, while the second strategy is developed for those applications in which only position measurements are available. The adaptive schemes are very general and computationally efficient since they do not require knowledge of either the mathematical model or the parameter values of the manipulator dynamics, and are implemented without calculation of the robot inverse dynamics or inverse kinematic transformation. It is shown that the control strategies ensure uniform boundedness of all signals in the presence of bounded disturbances, and that the ultimate size of the tracking errors can be made arbitrarily small. Experimental results are presented for a PUMA 560 manipulator and demonstrate that accurate and robust trajectory tracking can be achieved by using the proposed controllers.  相似文献

In the paper, the trajectory tracking control problem is investigated for robotic manipulators which are not equipped with the tachometers. Our contribution consists in establishing uniform asymptotic stability in closed-loop system by using the dynamic position-feedback controller with feedforward. Using Lyapunov vector function and comparison principle, we construct the non-linear controller with variable gain matrices and first-order linear dynamic compensator such that the origin of the closed-loop system is uniformly asymptotically stable. The controller is shown to be robust with respect to parameters incertainties. We illustrate the utility of our result by simulation tests with reference to a two-link planar elbow robot manipulator.  相似文献

A new finite time position synchronised control approach for parallel manipulators is proposed using a fast terminal sliding mode (TSM). By developing a novel synchronisation and coupling position error, a non-singular fast TSM is proposed in coupling position error space. The proposed controller can guarantee position error and synchronisation error converge to zero in a finite time simultaneously without requiring the explicit using system dynamic model. The corresponding stability analysis is presented to lay a foundation for theoretical understanding to the underlying issues as well as safe operation for real systems. An illustrative example is demonstrated in support of the effectiveness of the proposed approach.  相似文献

A robust neural control scheme for mechanical manipulators is presented. The design basically consists of an adaptive neural controller which implements a feedback linearization control law for a generic manipulator with unknown parameters, and a sliding-mode control which robustifies the design and compensates for the neural approximation errors. It is proved that the resulting closed-loop system is stable and that the trajectory-tracking control objective is achieved. Some simulation results are also provided to evaluate the design.  相似文献

For rigid body robot manipulators, the computed torque approach provides asymptotic stability for tracking control tasks. However, the state dependent matrices needed to complete the computed torque algorithm are normally unknown and possibly too complex for a real-time implementation. This paper proposes a simple controller with computed-torque-like structure enhanced by integral sliding mode, having pole-placement capability. For the reduction of the chattering effect generated by the sliding mode part, the integral sliding mode is posed as a perturbation estimator with quasi-continuous control action provided by an additional low-pass filter. The time-constant of the latter tunes the controller functionality between the perturbation compensation and a pure integral sliding mode control, as well as between chattering reduction and system robustness. A comparative simulation study between conventional sliding mode control, integral sliding mode control, and integral sliding mode in form of a perturbation estimator for a two-link robot arm validates the proposed design.  相似文献

This paper proposes a new method for the dynamic control of redundant manipulators via the artificial potential field approach. In the artificial potential field approach, the goal is represented by an artificial attractive potential field and the obstacles by corresponding repulsive field, so that the trajectory to the target can be associated with the unique flow-line of the gradient field through the initial position and can be generated via a flow-line tracking process. This approach is suitable for real-time motion planning because of its simplicity and smaller computational time than other methods based on global information about the task space. However, little attention has been paid to the control of the dynamic behavior of the trajectories generated. The proposed method is based on the artificial potential field approach with a combination of a time-scale transformation and a time-base generator which works as a time-scale compressor and can control the dynamic behavior of the robot without any change in the form of the designed controller itself. It can also be applied to the dynamic motion planning problem of redundant manipulators. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by computer simulations for a three-joint planar manipulator.
