Successful joining of dissimilar metals such as Al and Mg can provide significant advantages to the automotive industry in the fabrication of vehicle bodies and other important components. This study explores dissimilar joining of Al–Mg using a resistance spot welding process to produce microstructurally sound lap joints and evaluates the impact of interlayer composition on microstructural evolution and the formation of intermetallic compounds within the weld nugget. The results indicated that mechanically sound joints can be produced, with fine equiaxed and columnar dendrites within the weld nugget. The presence of intermetallic compounds was also confirmed by the variation in the microhardness values recorded across the weld zone.  相似文献

文中采用搅拌摩擦焊 (FSW)方法对Mg/Al层合板进行单面、双面对接方式焊接,对接头的微观组织和力学性能进行测试. 结果表明,随着焊接速度和搅拌针旋转速度的增加,焊缝表面成形良好,接头不同区域未见气孔、裂纹等缺陷,物相主要由Mg17Al12,Mg2Al3和MgAl等组成,接头部位的晶粒尺寸得到明显细化,产生了动态再结晶,金属间化合物的形成有利于动态再结晶的形核. Mg/Al层合板双面FSW焊接头的拉伸强度和断后伸长率高于单面焊接接头的强度和断后伸长率,主要是由于接头部位金属间化合物的数量和分布不同,抑制接头部位金属间化合物的形成有利于提高Mg/Al层合板FSW接头的性能.  相似文献

对2 mm厚的LF2铝合金和Q235钢平板试件进行了加入中间过渡层金属Cu的电子束对接焊接试验,利用光学金相、扫描电镜及能谱分析等方法研究了接头各区域的组织结构和成分分布.结果表明,接头可分为三个焊缝组织区域,其中靠近钢侧的焊缝区主要为Fe基固溶体,并含有少量金属间化合物;靠近铝侧的焊缝区为含有Fe-Al系及Al-Cu系金属间化合物的Al基固溶体;焊缝中部区为呈层带状分布的多种Fe-Al以及Al-Cu脆性金属间化合物混合区.分析认为虽然引入了铜过渡层,但在焊缝中依然有较多金属间化合物生成,特别是焊缝中部区域上,呈连续层带状分布的多种脆性金属间化合物的产生是影响接头强度的主要因素.在对接头组织结构分析的基础上,建立了描述LF2/Q235异种金属电子束对接接头形成过程的物理模型.  相似文献

焊接参数对钢铝异种接头质量影响明显。主要研究不同的激光功率和焊接速度对SUS321不锈钢和6061铝合金焊缝成形的影响,分析异种接头的微观形貌特征及组成,并对接头的断口形貌和力学性能进行了试验研究。结果表明,不同焊接速度和激光功率对于焊缝成形有着重要影响:当激光功率为2 200~2 400 W,焊接速度为30~35 mm/s时可以获得质量较高的焊缝;在焊接过程中,接头界面形成了FeAl、Fe_2Al_3和Fe_3Al等金属间化合物,它们的存在影响了接头的力学性能;接头在拉伸试验中发生韧性断裂,且裂纹最先在金属间化合物中萌生,并沿着钢铝反应界面进行扩展,直至整个接头发生断裂。  相似文献

This paper presents the results of a research into capacitor discharge percussion welding (CDPW) of pure aluminum wires and pure copper sheets, using percussion welding power and special welding device. A lot of CDPW factors, which will affect aluminum and copper dissimilar bonding, are described and these parameters have also been optimized. The fracture pull, inter'ace compounds, microstructure and hardness are all studied. The results show that aluminum wire welding to copper sheet can form a sound weld and in some conditions the fracture pull is similar to that of the pure aluminum wires. The capacitance, discharge voltage, wire taper angle and machine oil as welding assistant medium affect fracture pull. The intermetallic compounds Al2 Cu appears on the copper side of joint. Narrower heat-affected zone is observed.  相似文献

对1.2 mm厚DC56D+ZF镀锌钢和1.15 mm厚6016铝合金平板试件进行了添加中间夹层Cu、Pb的激光搭接焊实验研究,利用体视显微镜、卧式金相显微镜、扫描电镜、X射线衍射仪、微机控制的电子万能试验机等手段研究了钢/铝焊缝的表面成形性、接头各区域的金相组织、界面元素分布、断口形貌、主要物相与接头力学性能。结果表明:添加中间夹层Cu、Pb,焊接接头的平均抗拉强度分别为49.44、73.51 MPa,伸长率分别为1.63%、2.37%,与未添加夹层相比,抗拉强度和伸长率提高,其中Pb提高效果优于Cu;不加夹层,钢/铝试样断口呈明显脆性断裂特征;加入夹层Cu,脆性断裂特征不明显;而加入夹层Pb,试样断口呈韧性断裂特征;添加夹层Pb,钢/铝界面连接处Fe、Al、Zn、Mg、Pb元素变化剧烈,混合区宽度大,新生成Mg2Pb金属间化合物的结构比FeAl金属间化合物稳定,能抑制脆性FeAl金属间化合物生成。这是添加夹层Pb明显改善钢/铝焊接接头力学性能的重要原因。  相似文献

High-power ultrasonic welding technology, which has the excellent characteristics of low-energy input and high efficiency, can effectively shorten the welding time, reduce the formation of intermetallic compounds (IMCs), and improve the strength of Mg/Al dissimilar welded joints in the future manufacturing industry. Mg/Al dissimilar metal ultrasonic welded joints with favourable mechanical properties were obtained through reasonable selection of sonotrode patterns and optimisation of welding parameters. The connection mechanisms of joints were discussed based on the analysis of weld interface morphology, microstructure evolution, and the composition and distribution of Mg–Al IMCs that varied with welding energy. The mechanical interlocking phenomenon and discontinuously distributed Mg17Al12 with low thickness were observed at the weld interface, which helped to improve the joint performance.  相似文献

Abstract

In this paper, the material behaviour and mechanical characteristics of lap joint friction stir welding (FSW) between dissimilar alloys, namely, Cu and Al, is investigated. In order to produce welds of a higher quality, a layer of Cu is anodised on the aluminium alloy. The mechanical and the microstructural characterisations are performed on the welds, which are produced using various welding parameters. Scanning electron microscope with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy is used to identify the elemental compositions of phases that are formed. The results reveal that the use of the copper anodised layer prevented formation of brittle intermetallic compounds due to the direct FSW of 6061 aluminium alloy to copper and, as a result, enhanced the weld metallurgical and mechanical properties.  相似文献

Joints of Al6061 and Ti6Al4?V alloys with pure Al-particle interlayers were conducted using ultrasonic spot welding. The microstructure, hardness, lap shear strength and fracture energy were measured for different welding energies. With increasing welding energy delivered through the sonotrode, the lap shear strength of the joints increased, reaching about 106?MPa at a welding energy of 1100?J, at which failure occurred in the pull-out mode. In the weld region, the hardness of Al6061 alloy increased with increasing weld energy, whereas the hardness of Ti6Al4?V did not change discernibly. No brittle intermetallic compounds were observed in the joints. Moreover, two simple mechanisms were described for the formation of ultrasonic spot-welded Al–Ti joints with and without the pure Al interlayer.  相似文献

采用搅拌摩擦焊技术对4 mm厚6061-T6铝合金和纯铜进行连接,研究转速对铝铜异种金属接头组织与力学性能的影响。结果表明,当焊接速度为30 mm/min、搅拌头转速在1 200~1 800 r/min的范围内,可以获得表面成形良好、无缺陷的铝铜异种金属接头。大量破碎的铜被搅入焊核区,形成了组织结构复杂的区域。通过EDS和XRD分析,在焊核区内发现了Al_2Cu、Al_4Cu_9和Al Cu金属间化合物。在界面处,铝和铜发生相互扩散形成金属间化合物层,随着转速的提高,化合物层逐渐变厚。由于晶粒细化、固溶强化作用以及金属间化合物的生成,异种接头的焊核区平均显微硬度值高于铝铜两侧平均硬度,并且在焊核区出现硬度峰值点。随着转速的增加,接头抗拉强度呈现先增大后减小的趋势,所得最优接头抗拉强度为183 MPa,达到铜母材的71.8%,断裂位置位于铝侧热影响区,断裂方式为韧性断裂。  相似文献

Aluminum alloy sheets were lap joined to galvanized steel sheets by gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) with Al-5% Si, Al-12% Si, Al-6% Cu, Al-10% Si-4% Cu and Zn-15% Al filler wires. Different amounts of Si, Cu and Zn were introduced into the weld through different filler wires. The effects of alloying elements on the microstructure in the weld and tensile strength of the resultant joint were investigated. It was found that the thickness of the intermetallic compound (IMC) layer decreased and the tensile strength of the joint increased with the increase of Si content in the weld. The thickness of the IMC layer could be controlled as thin as about 2 μm and the tensile strength of the dissimilar metal joint reached 136 MPa with Al-12% Si filler wire. Al-Si-Cu filler wire could result in thinner interfacial layer than Al-Cu filler wire, and fracture during tensile testing occurred in the weld for the former filler wire but through the intermetallic compound layer for the latter one. A Zn-rich phase formed in the weld made with Zn-15% Al filler wire. Moreover, the Zn-Al filler wire also generated thick interfacial layer containing a great amount of intermetallic compounds and coarse dendrites in the weld, which led to a weak joint.  相似文献

Dissimilar friction stir welding (FSW) of copper and aluminum was investigated by nine different tool designs, while the rest of the process parameters were kept constant. Mechanical and metallurgical tests such as macrostructure, microstructure, tensile test, hardness, scanning electron microscope and electron X-ray spectrographs were performed to assess the properties of dissimilar joints. The results exhibited that, the maximum joint strength was achieved by the tool of cylindrical pin profile having 8 mm pin diameter. Besides, the fragmental defects increased as the number of polygonal edges decreased, hence the polygonal pin profiles were unsuitable for dissimilar FSW butt joints. Furthermore, the tensile strength increased as the number of polygonal edges increased. Stir zone of polygonal pin profiles was hard and brittle relative to cylindrical tool pin profiles for same shoulder surface. Maximum hardness of HV 283 was obtained at weld made by the polygonal square pin profile. The hard and brittle intermetallic compounds (IMCs) were prominently presented in the stir zone. Phases of IMCs such as CuAl, CuAl2, Cu3Al and Cu9Al4 were presented in the stir zone of dissimilar Cu–Al joints.  相似文献

研究了QCr0.8/TC4电子束焊接工艺及接头组织,由于铜合金热导率高而熔化量较小,以及焊缝中生成大量脆性金属间化合物相,因此对中焊时接头强度较低.采用偏铜侧进行非对中电子束焊接,接头抗拉强度随偏束量的增大而增高,偏束量为0.8mm时接头最高抗拉强度为270.5MPa.断裂发生在TC4侧熔合线处,为脆性准解理断裂特征.偏铜焊时接头成形得到改善,焊缝包括熔合区及TC4侧反应层两部分.熔合区主要由铜基固溶体组成,硬度较TC4母材有所降低.反应层成分过渡较大,含有多种金属间化合物相.随着工艺参数的变化,反应层厚度也发生变化,从而对接头性能产生影响.  相似文献

Friction stir welding was used to join two aluminum 6061-T6 plates with an insert of a pure copper plate (Al/Cu/Al), and then the influence of the copper insert on the joint performance was studied. The dissimilar welding results were also compared with AA 6061 friction stir welds produced without copper insert (Al/Al). Optical and scanning electron microscopes were used for the microstructural observations of the welded samples. X-ray diffraction analysis was used to analyze phase component of the Al/Cu/Al specimen. A defect-free joint was observed for the Al/Cu/Al joint at a rotational speed of 950 r/min and a welding speed of 50 mm/min. Microstructural observation of the weld nugget zone (WNZ) demonstrates the formation of composite-like structure which promotes metallurgical bonding of aluminum and copper. XRD results show the formation of intermetallic compounds (IMCs), such as Al4Cu9 and Al2Cu. Furthermore, it was observed that the hardness of the weld with the Cu insert plate is higher than that of other samples due to more dislocation density and a distinct rise in hardness values was observed due to the presence of IMCs. The ultimate tensile strength of the joint with copper insert plate is higher than that of the other sample due to the strong metallurgical bonding between Al and Cu.  相似文献

采用填充式摩擦点焊技术对镁/铝异种金属进行工艺试验,并对点焊接头的力学性能和微观组织进行分析.结果表明,当采用合理的搭接接头设计和工艺参数进行镁/铝异种金属摩擦点焊时,可获得表面平整、抗剪切能力强的焊点,其焊点剪切力可达1865 N.组织分析发现,在焊核与镁母材之间的竖直界面处易出现少量的孔洞、微裂纹等缺陷,接头的断裂正发生在该区;而在镁/铝之间的水平界面结合良好,存在一定厚度的界面层组织,且该界面层组织的硬度要比两侧母材的硬度明显高很多,这与摩擦点焊过程中脆硬相的金属间化合物的形成有关.  相似文献

It is difficult to achieve Al/Cu dissimilar welds with good mechanical properties for medium-thick plates due to the inherent high heat generation rate at the shoulder-workpiece contact interface in conventional friction stir welding. Thus, double-side friction stir welding is innovatively applied to join 12-mm medium-thick 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and pure copper dissimilar plates, and the effect of welding speeds on the joint microstructure and mechanical properties of Al/Cu welds is systematically analyzed. It reveals that a sound Al/Cu joint without macroscopic defects can be achieved when the welding speed is lower than 180 mm/min, while a nonuniform relatively thick intermetallic compound (IMC) layer is formed at the Al/Cu interface, resulting in lots of local microcracks within the first-pass weld under the plunging force of the tool during friction stir welding of the second-pass, and seriously deteriorates the mechanical properties of the joint. With the increase of welding speed to more than 300 mm/min void defects appear in the joint, but the joint properties are still better than the welds performed at low welding speed conditions since a continuous uniform thin IMCs layer is formed at the Al/Cu interface. The maximum tensile strength and elongation of Al/Cu weld are, respectively, 135.11 MPa and 6.06%, which is achieved at the welding speed of 400 mm/min. In addition, due to the influence of welding distortion of the first-pass weld, the second-pass weld is more prone to form void defects than the first-pass weld when the same plunge depth is applied on both sides. The double-side friction stir welding is proved to be a good method for dissimilar welding of medium-thick Al/Cu plates.  相似文献

采用电子束熔化焊、电子束阻隔焊和电子束阻隔熔-钎焊方法来实现钛合金与不锈钢异种金属之间的连接。研究发现钛合金与不锈钢连接界面处产生的脆性金属间化合物是影响接头性能的关键因素。采用电子束直接熔化焊和阻隔熔化焊钛合金和不锈钢时,接头界面会产生贯穿性裂纹导致焊缝直接断裂。电子束阻隔熔-钎焊中利用熔化的不锈钢润湿未熔化的钛合金母材,并采用Ag、Cu作为中间层添加元素,在结合界面处形成了很好的阻隔屏障,减少了Ti/Fe界面的金属间化合物的产生,减缓了应力,实现了钛合金与不锈钢的冶金结合,接头抗拉强度约为100 MPa。电子束阻隔熔-钎焊得到的钛合金/不锈钢异种金属焊接接头焊缝正反面成形良好,X射线探伤未发现裂纹和气孔缺陷。  相似文献

Al coated steel sheets with excellent heat resistance, thermal reflection, and corrosion resistance are widely used in various applications. The laser weldability of the Al coated steel sheet for full penetration welding was reported. The phenomenon caused by intermixed aluminum and behavior of aluminum in the weld were investigated. Al coated steel sheets that have various thickness and coating mass were prepared for laser welding. The effects of parameters such as welding conditions and Al coating conditions were investigated. Al content mixed in the weld after laser welding was evaluated, and then a correlation between the mixed Al and mechanical properties was investigated. The results show that the Al-rich zones which have Fe-Al intermetallic compounds are found in the weld. The intermetallic compounds cause the decreased strength of the weld.  相似文献

采用一种新型复合焊接工艺——电阻塞焊对1.5 mm等厚TRIP980高强钢/SPCC低碳钢板进行焊接,利用正交试验优化其焊接参数,随后增加焊前预热,分析对比无预热和焊前预热两种条件下较优焊接参数时接头的力学性能及组织、硬度特点.结果表明,各焊接参数对接头的拉剪载荷影响程度由大到小依次为焊接电流、填充物直径、焊接时间及电极力;在电极头端面直径为8 mm的条件下,填充物直径为5.5 mm时的接头力学性能优于其它直径;相同焊接参数时,焊前预热塞焊接头的拉剪载荷比无预热提高7%以上;两种条件下较优焊接参数时,焊前预热塞焊接头的熔核偏移量小于无预热,熔核和熔合区的硬度比无预热时有所下降,熔合区脆硬马氏体组织比无预热少;焊前预热塞焊接头断口为韧性断裂,无预热塞焊接头断口为脆性断裂;其主要机理是,预热减小了熔核区金属过热倾向,使熔核扩展均匀,熔合区脆硬组织减少,有利于接头强度的提高.  相似文献

SiCp/2024 matrix composites reinforced with SiC particles and 2219 aluminum alloy were joined via centered electron beam welding and deflection beam welding, respectively, and the microstructures and mechanical properties of these joints were investigated. The results revealed that SiC particle segregation was more likely during centered electron beam welding (than during deflection beam welding), and strong interface reactions led to the formation of many Al4C3 brittle intermetallic compounds. Moreover, the tensile strength of the joints was 104 MPa. The interface reaction was restrained via deflection electron beam welding, and only a few Al4C3 intermetallic compounds formed at the top of the joint and heat affected zone of SiCp/Al. Quasi-cleavage fracture occurred at the interface reaction layer of the base metal. Both methods yielded a hardness transition zone near the SiCp/2024 fusion zone,and the brittle intermetallic Al4C3compounds formed in this zone resulted in high hardness.  相似文献
