Large‐scale high‐quality perovskite thin films are crucial to produce high‐performance perovskite solar cells. However, for perovskite films fabricated by solvent‐rich processes, film uniformity can be prevented by convection during thermal evaporation of the solvent. Here, a scalable low‐temperature soft‐cover deposition (LT‐SCD) method is presented, where the thermal convection‐induced defects in perovskite films are eliminated through a strategy of surface tension relaxation. Compact, homogeneous, and convection‐induced‐defects‐free perovskite films are obtained on an area of 12 cm2, which enables a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 15.5% on a solar cell with an area of 5 cm2. This is the highest efficiency at this large cell area. A PCE of 15.3% is also obtained on a flexible perovskite solar cell deposited on the polyethylene terephthalate substrate owing to the advantage of presented low‐temperature processing. Hence, the present LT‐SCD technology provides a new non‐spin‐coating route to the deposition of large‐area uniform perovskite films for both rigid and flexible perovskite devices.  相似文献

Organometal halide perovskites are new light‐harvesting materials for lightweight and flexible optoelectronic devices due to their excellent optoelectronic properties and low‐temperature process capability. However, the preparation of high‐quality perovskite films on flexible substrates has still been a great challenge to date. Here, a novel vapor–solution method is developed to achieve uniform and pinhole‐free organometal halide perovskite films on flexible indium tin oxide/poly(ethylene terephthalate) substrates. Based on the as‐prepared high‐quality perovskite thin films, high‐performance flexible photodetectors (PDs) are constructed, which display a nR value of 81 A W?1 at a low working voltage of 1 V, three orders higher than that of previously reported flexible perovskite thin‐film PDs. In addition, these flexible PDs exhibit excellent flexural stability and durability under various bending situations with their optoelectronic performance well retained. This breakthrough on the growth of high‐quality perovskite thin films opens up a new avenue to develop high‐performance flexible optoelectronic devices.  相似文献

Halide perovskite films processed from solution at low‐temperature offer promising opportunities to make flexible solar cells. However, the brittleness of perovskite films is an issue for mechanical stability in flexible devices. Herein, photo‐crosslinked [6,6]‐phenylC61‐butyric oxetane dendron ester (C‐PCBOD) is used to improve the mechanical stability of methylammonium lead iodide (MAPbI3) perovskite films. Also, it is demonstrated that C‐PCBOD passivates the grain boundaries, which reduces the formation of trap states and enhances the environmental stability of MAPbI3. Thus, MAPbI3 perovskite solar cells are prepared on solid and flexible substrates with record efficiencies of 20.4% and 18.1%, respectively, which are among the highest ever reported for MAPbI3 on both flexible and solid substrates. The result of this work provides a step improvement toward stable and efficient flexible perovskite solar cells.  相似文献

All‐inorganic CsPbIBr2 perovskite has recently received growing attention due to its balanced band gap and excellent environmental stability. However, the requirement of high‐temperature processing limits its application in flexible devices. Herein, a low‐temperature seed‐assisted growth (SAG) method for high‐quality CsPbIBr2 perovskite films through reducing the crystallization temperature by introducing methylammonium halides (MAX, X = I, Br, Cl) is demonstrated. The mechanism is attributed to MA cation based perovskite seeds, which act as nuclei lowering the formation energy of CsPbIBr2 during the annealing treatment. It is found that methylammonium bromide treated perovskite (Pvsk‐Br) film fabricated at low temperature (150 °C) shows micrometer‐sized grains and superior charge dynamic properties, delivering a device with an efficiency of 10.47%. Furthermore, an efficiency of 11.1% is achieved for a device based on high‐temperature (250 °C) processed Pvsk‐Br film via the SAG method, which presents the highest reported efficiency for inorganic CsPbIBr2 solar cells thus far.  相似文献

Charge-transporting processable layers at a low temperature is a challenge for fabricating novel, highly stable and flexible optoelectronic devices. In fact, the crystallization of metal oxide usually needs to be processed under a high-temperature to obtain excellent semiconducting properties. In this work, Sn-doped ZnO (TZO) thin films, as electron transporting layers (ETLs) in perovskite solar cells, were prepared via sol–gel method at a temperature of less than 180 °C. The effects of annealing temperature on the properties of TZO thin films were investigated. It was found that the electrical properties of the TZO films were improved with increasing annealing temperature. In addition, an elemental composition analysis revealed that a temperature of only 140 °C sufficed for converting the precursor gel film into TZO film. The perovskite solar cell, which utilized a low-temperature TZO thin film, yielded a better power conversion efficiency than one with high-temperature ETLs (180 °C). These results imply that discovering low-temperature ETL processing for sol–gel enables good-quality metal oxide ETL, which can also be used in flexible solar cell applications.

Dramatic advances in perovskite solar cells (PSCs) and the blossoming of wearable electronics have triggered tremendous demands for flexible solar‐power sources. However, the fracturing of functional crystalline films and transmittance wastage from flexible substrates are critical challenges to approaching the high‐performance PSCs with flexural endurance. In this work, a nanocellular scaffold is introduced to architect a mechanics buffer layer and optics resonant cavity. The nanocellular scaffold releases mechanical stresses during flexural experiences and significantly improves the crystalline quality of the perovskite films. The nanocellular optics resonant cavity optimizes light harvesting and charge transportation of devices. More importantly, these flexible PSCs, which demonstrate excellent performance and mechanical stability, are practically fabricated in modules as a wearable solar‐power source. A power conversion efficiency of 12.32% for a flexible large‐scale device (polyethylene terephthalate substrate, indium tin oxide‐free, 1.01 cm2) is achieved. This ingenious flexible structure will enable a new approach for development of wearable electronics.  相似文献

A simple, low‐cost, large area, and continuous scalable coating method is proposed for the fabrication of hybrid organic–inorganic perovskite solar cells. A megasonic spray‐coating method utilizing a 1.7 MHz megasonic nebulizer that could fabricate reproducible large‐area planar efficient perovskite films is developed. The coating method fabricates uniform large‐area perovskite film with large‐sized grain since smaller and narrower sized mist droplets than those generated by existing ultrasonic spray methods could be generated by megasonic spraying. The volume flow rate of the CH3NH3PbI3 precursor solution and the reaction temperature are controlled, to obtain a high quality perovskite active layer. The devices reach a maximum efficiency of 16.9%, with an average efficiency of 16.4% from 21 samples. The applicability of megasonic spray coating to the fabrication of large‐area solar cells (1 cm2), with a power conversion efficiency of 14.2%, is also demonstrated. This is a record high efficiency for large‐area perovskite solar cells fabricated by continuous spray coating.  相似文献

In this study, the fabrication of highly efficient and durable flexible inverted perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is reported. Presynthesized, solution‐derived NiOx and ZnO nanoparticles films are employed at room temperature as a hole transport layer (HTL) and electron transport layer (ETL), respectively. The triple cation perovskite films are produced in a single step and for the sake of comparison, ultrasmooth and pinhole‐free absorbing layers are also fabricated using MAPbI3 perovskite. The triple cation perovskite cells exhibit champion power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) of 18.6% with high stabilized power conversion efficiency of 17.7% on rigid glass/indium tin oxide (ITO) substrates (comparing with 16.6% PCE with 16.1% stabilized output efficiency for the flexible polyethylene naphthalate (PEN)/thin film barrier/ITO substrates). More interestingly, the durability of flexible PSC under simulation of operative condition is proved. Over 85% of the maximum stabilized output efficiency is retained after 1000 h aging employing a thin MAPbI3 perovskite (over 90% after 500 h with a thick triple cation perovskite). This result is comparable to a similar state of the art rigid PSC and represents a breakthrough in the stability of flexible PSC using ETLs and HTLs compatible with roll to roll production speed, thanks to their room temperature processing.  相似文献

Hybrid organic–inorganic metal halide perovskite semiconductors provide opportunities and challenges for the fabrication of low‐cost thin‐film photovoltaic devices. The opportunities are clear: the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of small‐area perovskite photovoltaics has surpassed many established thin‐film technologies. However, the large‐scale solution‐based deposition of perovskite layers introduces challenges. To form perovskite layers, precursor solutions are coated or printed and these must then be crystallized into the perovskite structure. The nucleation and crystal growth must be controlled during film formation and subsequent treatments in order to obtain high‐quality, pin‐hole‐free films over large areas. A great deal of understanding regarding material engineering during the perovskite film formation process has been gained through spin‐coating studies. Based on this, significant progress has been made on transferring material engineering strategies to processes capable of scale‐up, such as blade coating, spray coating, inkjet printing, screen printing, relief printing, and gravure printing. Here, an overview is provided of the strategies that led to devices deposited by these scalable techniques with PCEs as high as 21%. Finally, the opportunities to fully close the shrinking gap to record spin‐coated solar cells and to scale these efficiencies to large areas are highlighted.  相似文献

Tin (Sn)‐based perovskites are increasingly attractive because they offer lead‐free alternatives in perovskite solar cells. However, depositing high‐quality Sn‐based perovskite films is still a challenge, particularly for low‐temperature planar heterojunction (PHJ) devices. Here, a “multichannel interdiffusion” protocol is demonstrated by annealing stacked layers of aqueous solution deposited formamidinium iodide (FAI)/polymer layer followed with an evaporated SnI2 layer to create uniform FASnI3 films. In this protocol, tiny FAI crystals, significantly inhibited by the introduced polymer, can offer multiple interdiffusion pathways for complete reaction with SnI2. What is more, water, rather than traditional aprotic organic solvents, is used to dissolve the precursors. The best‐performing FASnI3 PHJ solar cell assembled by this protocol exhibits a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 3.98%. In addition, a flexible FASnI3‐based flexible solar cell assembled on a polyethylene naphthalate–indium tin oxide flexible substrate with a PCE of 3.12% is demonstrated. This novel interdiffusion process can help to further boost the performance of lead‐free Sn‐based perovskites.  相似文献

Wearable devices are mainly based on plastic substrates, such as polyethylene terephthalate and polyethylene naphthalate, which causes environmental pollution after use due to the long decomposition periods. This work reports on the fabrication of a biodegradable and biocompatible transparent conductive electrode derived from bamboo for flexible perovskite solar cells. The conductive bioelectrode exhibits extremely flexible and light‐weight properties. After bending 3000 times at a 4 mm curvature radius or even undergoing a crumpling test, it still shows excellent electrical performance and negligible decay. The performance of the bamboo‐based bioelectrode perovskite solar cell exhibits a record power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 11.68%, showing the highest efficiency among all reported biomass‐based perovskite solar cells. It is remarkable that this flexible device has a highly bendable mechanical stability, maintaining over 70% of its original PCE during 1000 bending cycles at a 4 mm curvature radius. This work paves the way for perovskite solar cells toward comfortable and environmentally friendly wearable devices.  相似文献

The highest efficiencies reported for perovskite solar cells so far have been obtained mainly with methylammonium and formamidinium mixed cations. Currently, high‐quality mixed‐cation perovskite thin films are normally made by use of antisolvent protocols. However, the widely used “antisolvent”‐assisted fabrication route suffers from challenges such as poor device reproducibility, toxic and hazardous organic solvent, and incompatibility with scalable fabrication process. Here, a simple dual‐source precursor approach is developed to fabricate high‐quality and mirror‐like mixed‐cation perovskite thin films without involving additional antisolvent process. By integrating the perovskite films into the planar heterojunction solar cells, a power conversion efficiency of 20.15% is achieved with negligible current density–voltage hysteresis. A stabilized power output approaching 20% is obtained at the maximum power point. These results shed light on fabricating highly efficient perovskite solar cells via a simple process, and pave the way for solar cell fabrication via scalable methods in the near future.  相似文献

CsPbI2Br is an ideal inorganic perovskite material with a reasonable bandgap for solar cell applications because of its advantage of superior thermal and phase stability. However, the performance of CsPbI2Br based solar cells highly relied on the perovskite crystallization process along with the interfacial contact engineering process between CsPbI2Br perovskite and charge-transporting layers. In this work, a programmable crystallization method is developed to obtain ultra-smooth CsPbI2Br perovskite film with a well-engineered contact interface in perovskite solar cells. This method combines a pre-stand-by process with a programmable gradient thermal engineering process, which mediates the crystal growth dynamics process of CsPbI2Br perovskite by controlling the release of dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO) from its coordinates with the perovskite film, leading to high-quality CsPbI2Br film with large-scale crystalline grains, reduced surface roughness, and low trap density. Fabricated perovskite devices based on CsPbI2Br film obtained by this method deliver power conversion efficiency of 14.55 %;meanwhile, the encapsulated CsPbI2Br perovskite device achieves a maximum efficiency of 15.07 %. This decent solar conversion efficiency demonstrates the effectiveness of the programmable crystallization method used in this work, which shows great potential as a universal approach in obtaining high-quality CsPbI2Br perovskite films for fabricating high-efficiency inorganic perovskite solar cells.  相似文献

Organic–inorganic hybrid perovskite as a kind of promising photovoltaic material is booming due to its low‐cost, high defect tolerance, and easy fabrication, which result in the huge potential in industrial production. In the pursuit of high efficiency photovoltaic devices, high‐quality absorbing layer is essential. Therefore, developing organic–inorganic hybrid perovskite thin films with good coverage, improved uniformity, and crystalline in a single pass deposition is of great concern in realizing good performance of perovskite thin‐film solar cell. Here, it is found that the introduction of suitable amounts of LiI plays a dramatically positive role in enlarging the grain size and reducing the grain boundaries of absorbing layer. In addition, the carrier lifetime and built‐in potential of the LiI doped perovskite device are observed to increase. Thus, it leads to about 15% gain in solar cell efficiency comparing to that without the LiI doping. Meanwhile, a hysteresis reduction is observed and 18.16% power conversion efficiency is achieved in LiI doped perovskite device, as well.  相似文献

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have emerged as a ‘rising star’ in recent years due to their high-power conversion efficiency (PCE), extremely low cost and facile fabrication techniques. To date, PSCs have achieved a certified PCE of 25.2% on rigid conductive substrates, and 19.5% on flexible substrates. The significant advancement of PSCs has been realized through various routes, including perovskite composition engineering, interface modification, surface passivation, fabrication process optimization, and exploitation of new charge transport materials. However, compared with rigid counterparts, the efficiency record of flexible perovskite solar cells (FPSCs) is advancing slowly, and therefore it is of great significance to scrutinize recent work and expedite the innovation in this field. In this article, we comprehensively review the recent progress of FPSCs. After a brief introduction, the major features of FPSCs are compared with other types of flexible solar cells in a broad context including silicon, CdTe, dye-sensitized, organic, quantum dot and hybrid solar cells. In particular, we highlight the major breakthroughs of FPSCs made in 2019/2020 for both laboratory and large-scale devices. The constituents of making a FPSC including flexible substrates, perovskite absorbers, charge transport materials, as well as device fabrication and encapsulation methods have been critically assessed. The existing challenges of making high performance and long-term stable FPSCs are discussed. Finally, we offer our perspectives on the future opportunities of FPSCs in the field of photovoltaics.  相似文献

The influence of precursor solution properties, fabrication environment, and antisolvent properties on the microstructural evolution of perovskite films is reported. First, the impact of fabrication environment on the morphology of methyl ammonium lead iodide (MAPbI3) perovskite films with various Lewis‐base additives is reported. Second, the influence of antisolvent properties on perovskite film microstructure is investigated using antisolvents ranging from nonpolar heptane to highly polar water. This study shows an ambient environment that accelerates crystal growth at the expense of nucleation and introduces anisotropies in crystal morphology. The use of antisolvents enhances nucleation but also influences ambient moisture interaction with the precursor solution, resulting in different crystal morphology (shape, size, dispersity) in different antisolvents. Crystal morphology, in turn, dictates film quality. A homogenous spherulitic crystallization results in pinhole‐free films with similar microstructure irrespective of processing environment. This study further demonstrates propyl acetate, an environmentally benign antisolvent, which can induce spherulitic crystallization under ambient environment (52% relative humidity, 25 °C). With this, planar perovskite solar cells with ≈17.78% stabilized power conversion efficiency are achieved. Finally, a simple precipitation test and in situ crystallization imaging under an optical microscope that can enable a facile a priori screening of antisolvents is shown.  相似文献

Even though the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of rigid perovskite solar cells is increased to 22.7%, the PCE of flexible perovskite solar cells (F‐PSCs) is still lower. Here, a novel dimethyl sulfide (DS) additive is developed to effectively improve the performance of the F‐PSCs. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy reveals that the DS additive reacts with Pb2+ to form a chelated intermediate, which significantly slows down the crystallization rate, leading to large grain size and good crystallinity for the resultant perovskite film. In fact, the trap density of the perovskite film prepared using the DS additive is reduced by an order of magnitude compared to the one without it, demonstrating that the additive effectively retards transformation kinetics during the thin film formation process. As a result, the PCE of the flexible devices increases to 18.40%, with good mechanical tolerance, the highest reported so far for the F‐PSCs. Meanwhile, the environmental stability of the F‐PSCs significantly enhances by 1.72 times compared to the device without the additive, likely due to the large grain size that suppresses perovskite degradation at grain boundaries. The present strategy will help guide development of high efficiency F‐PSCs for practical applications.  相似文献

The fabrication of high‐quality perovskite film highly relies on chemical composition and the synthesis method of perovskite. So far, sequentially deposited MA0.03FA0.97Pb(I0.97Br0.03)3 polycrystalline film is adopted to produce high‐performance perovskite solar cells with record power conversion efficiency (PCE). Fewer grain boundaries and incorporation of inorganic cation (e.g., cesium) would further increase device performance via sequential deposition. Here, cesium chloride (CsCl) is introduced into lead iodide (PbI2) precursor solution that beneficially modulates the property of PbI2 film, leading to larger grains with cesium incorporation in the resulting perovskite film. The enlarged crystal grains originate from a slower nucleation process for CsCl‐containing PbI2 film when reacting with formamidine iodide, confirmed by in situ confocal photoluminescence imaging. Photovoltaic devices based on CsCl‐containing PbI2 film demonstrate a higher averaging efficiency of 21.3% than 20.3% of the devices without CsCl additives for reverse scan. More importantly, the device stability is improved by CsCl additives that retain over 90% of their initial PCE value after 4000 min tracking at maximum power point under 1‐sun illumination. This work paves a way to further improve the photovoltaic performance of mixed‐cation‐halide perovskite solar cells via a sequential deposition method.  相似文献

Flexible perovskite photodetectors are usually constructed on indium‐tin‐oxide‐coated polymer substrates, which are expensive, fragile, and not resistant to high temperature. Herein, for the first time, a high‐performance flexible perovskite photodetector is fabricated based on low‐cost carbon cloth via a facile solution processable strategy. In this device, perovskite microcrystal and Spiro‐OMeTAD (hole transporting material) blended film act as active materials for light detection, and carbon cloth serves as both a flexible substrate and a conductive electrode. The as‐fabricated photodetector shows a broad spectrum response from ultraviolet to near‐infrared light, high responsivity, fast response speed, long‐term stability, and self‐powered capability. Flexible devices show negligible degradation after several tens of bending cycles and at the extremely bending angle of 180°. This work promises a new technique to construct flexible, high‐performance photodetectors with low cost and self‐powered capability.  相似文献
