This study examined the microstructures, crystal structures, and electrical properties of 0.01 mol CuO–added (1–x)(Bi1/2Na1/2)TiO3xSrTiO3–2BiFeO3 (BNST100x–2BF, x?=?0.20 ~ 0.28) ceramics synthesized at two different sintering temperatures. The sintering temperature of the BNST100x–2BF ceramics could be decreased from 1175 °C to 1000 °C by adding a 0.01 mol CuO excess. Low–temperature sintering led to a decrease in average grain size. The dielectrics, polarization hysteresis (PE), switching current, and electric–field induced strain (SE) curves changed with increasing SrTiO3 content and decreasing sintering temperature. Interestingly, the highest reduction ratio of d33* was calculated to be somewhere in between the high–temperature sintered and low–temperature sintered BNST26–2BF ceramics. These results were attributed to the difference in the stabilized relaxor state and closely related to the electric field–induced reversible phase transition from the relaxor and ferroelectrics.  相似文献

We prepared NiFe2O4/(Pb, Sr)TiO3 (NFO/PST) bilayer films by the chemical solution method and investigated their multiferroic, magnetoelectric and magneto-impedance properties. Multiferroic properties have been observed at room temperature. The bilayer films exhibit saturation polarization P s ? 26.6 μC/cm2 and saturation magnetization M s ? 134 emu/cm3. With increasing Sr content, M s. and P s values of the NFO/PST bilayer films decrease. The variation may be ascribed to the influence of interfacial strain and decrease in tetragonality. High magnetoelectric coupling effect has been observed in the NFO/PST bilayer films with maximum value of α E  = 6.35 Vcm?1 Oe?1 measured at H DC  ~ 1 kOe and f ~ 10 kHz for Sr ~ 10% (NFO/PST10). The magneto-impedance measurements establish a strong dependence on magnetic field, further confirming magnetoelectric response in NFO/PST bilayer films. An alternative approach for impedance analysis of NFO/PST10 bilayer film provides direct evidence of strain mediated magnetoelectric coupling at room temperature. The results indicate that NFO/PST bilayer films can be considered as a potential multiferroic magnetoelectric material.  相似文献

The (1-x)Ba(Zr0.25Ti0.75)O3-xSr(Fe0.5Nb0.5)O3 or (1-x)BZT-xSFN ceramics have been fabricated via a solid-state reaction technique. All ceramics exhibit a pure phase perovskite with cubic symmetry. The addition of a small amount of SFN (x?=?0.1) produces an obvious change in dielectric behavior. Very high dielectric constants (εr?>?164,000 at 1 kHz and temperature?>?150°C) are observed and the value is obviously higher than dielectric constants for Ba(Zr0.25Ti0.75)O3 and Sr(Fe0.5Nb0.5)O3 ceramics. The ferroelectric measurement data suggests that the unmodified sample exhibited a ferroelectric behavior. However, a transformation from a ferroelectric to a relaxor-like behavior is noted with increasing x concentration. Impedance Spectroscopy (IS) analysis indicates that the presence of excellent dielectric constants is due to the heterogeneous conduction in the ceramics after adding SFN, which can be explained in terms of the Maxwell-Wagner polarization mechanism.  相似文献

Objective

To segment and classify the different attenuation regions from MRI at the pelvis level using the T 1 and T 2 relaxation times and anatomical knowledge as a first step towards the creation of PET/MR attenuation maps.

Materials and methods

Relaxation times were calculated by fitting the pixel-wise intensities of acquired T 1- and T 2-weighted images from eight men with inversion-recovery and multi-echo multi-slice spin-echo sequences. A decision binary tree based on relaxation times was implemented to segment and classify fat, muscle, prostate, and air (within the body). Connected component analysis and an anatomical knowledge-based procedure were implemented to localize the background and bone.

Results

Relaxation times at 3 T are reported for fat (T 1 = 385 ms, T 2 = 121 ms), muscle (T 1 = 1295 ms, T 2 = 40 ms), and prostate (T 1 = 1700 ms, T 2 = 80 ms). The relaxation times allowed the segmentation–classification of fat, prostate, muscle, and air, and combined with anatomical knowledge, they allowed classification of bone. The good segmentation–classification of prostate [mean Dice similarity score (mDSC) = 0.70] suggests a viable implementation in oncology and that of fat (mDSC = 0.99), muscle (mDSC = 0.99), and bone (mDSCs = 0.78) advocates for its implementation in PET/MR attenuation correction.

Conclusion

Our method allows the segmentation and classification of the attenuation-relevant structures required for the generation of the attenuation map of PET/MR systems in prostate imaging: air, background, bone, fat, muscle, and prostate.

Nanocrystalline Ti1-x Fe x O2 particles were fabricated via sol-gel method and their structures, morphology and magnetic properties were investigated. The structure of the Ti1-x Fe x O2 nanospheres evolved from mixed anatase and rutile phases to pure anatase phase with increasing iron content. Additionally, it is found the evolution of magnetism: sample x = 3% shows room temperature ferromagnetism while the rests exhibit paramagnetism. The hysteresis loop of sample x = 3% is attributable to paramagnetic and ferromagnetic phase and the paramagnetic and ferromagnetic components are separated. The susceptibility of Ti1-x Fe x O2 increases and then decreases with the increase of Fe content. The magnetism is explained by the BMP theory.  相似文献

Sr2TiO4 ceramics were synthesized via the conventional solid-state reaction process, and the effects of post-annealing treatment in air on the microwave dielectric properties and defect behavior of title compound were investigated systematically. The Q?×?f values could be effectively improved from 107,000 GHz to 120,300 GHz for the specimens treated at 1450 °C for 16 h. The thermally stimulated depolarization currents (TSDC) revealed two kinds of defect dipoles [\( \left({\mathrm{Ti}}_{\mathrm{Ti}}^{\hbox{'}}-{V}_{\mathrm{O}}^{\bullet \bullet}\right) \) and \( \left({V}_{\mathrm{Sr}}^{"}-{V}_{\mathrm{O}}^{\bullet \bullet}\right) \)] and oxygen vacancies \( \left({V}_{\mathrm{O}}^{\bullet \bullet}\right) \) were considered the main defects in Sr2TiO4. Under a post-annealing treatment in air, the concentrations of such defects in the ceramics decreased. Meanwhile, the impedance spectrum revealed the activation energy of the grain boundaries increased. These evidences could account for the improvement of Q?×?f values. Accompanied with a high εr of 40.4 and a large τf of 126 ppm/°C, the enhanced high-Q Sr2TiO4 ceramics can be good candidates for applications in wireless passive temperature sensing.  相似文献

The effect of Al3+ substitution on the enhancement of the luminescence of Lu1–xAlxNbO4:Eu3+ and Lu1–xAlxNbO4:Tb3+ was investigated. X-ray diffraction patterns confirmed that the Eu3+, Tb3+, and Al3+ ions were fully incorporated into the Lu3+ sites. In the case of Lu1–xAlxNbO4:Eu3+, the predominant red emission (614 nm) was assigned to the 5D0?→?7F2 transition of Eu3+ and for x?=?0–0.05, its intensity increased up to ~125 and 108% under 395 nm (7F0  5L6) and a charge transfer band excitation, respectively. For Lu1–xAlxNbO4:Tb3+, the strongest emission band peaking at 551 nm was attained in the green region among multiple emission bands corresponding to the 5D4?→?7FJ transitions of Tb3+. Increasing the x values from 0 to 0.05 increased the green emission significantly by ~137%. These phenomena were explained by the local structural distortions and crystal field asymmetry surrounding Eu3+ and Tb3+, which were attributed to a large difference in the ionic radii of Al3+ and Lu3+.  相似文献

La2CoTi0.7Mg0.3O6 (LCTM) material has been prepared at 1473 K for 24 h in air. X-ray powder diffraction study has revealed that it contains two orthorhombic perovskite phases (in a ratio ~1:4) with close unit cell parameters. Annealing of LCTM in reducing (Ar/H2, 8%) atmosphere at 1173 K for 12 h has resulted in the preparation of a single-phase material containing the GdFeO3-type perovskite phase with the unit cell parameters of a?=?5.5631(3) Å, b?=?5.5462(3) Å, c?=?7.8522(5) Å. LCTM material exhibits a reversible transformation of a mixture of two perovskite phases with close cation content in air and a single perovskite phase in a reducing atmosphere. Both as-prepared and reduced LCTM samples have been studied by thermogravimetric analysis and dilatometry in air and Ar/H2 (8%). No chemical interaction between the as-prepared LCTM and standard electrolyte materials for SOFC like GDC and YSZ has been observed up to 1273 K. High-temperature electrical conductivity of the as-prepared LCTM at variable oxygen partial pressure (10?4-0.21 atm) showed weak dependence over pO2 with Ea?=?0.48?±?0.01 eV. AC impedance study of the symmetrical cells LCTM/GDC/LCTM has revealed ASR value at 1173 K of ~8.1?±?0.1 Ω?cm2 in air and 0.24?±?0.05 Ω?cm2 in a reducing atmosphere. These results allow to consider LCTM as a promising electrode material for a symmetrical SOFC.  相似文献

Bi9Fe5Ti3O27 is an eight-layered material belonging to the family of bismuth layered structured ferroelectromagnets. The polycrystalline sample of this compound was prepared by a standard solid-state reaction technique. The formation of the compound in an orthorhombic crystal structure was confirmed by an X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique (lattice parameters: a?=?5.5045[27] Å, b?=?5.6104[27] Å, c?=?76.3727[27] Å). Detailed studies of surface morphology of the compound using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) exhibit that the compound has domains of plate shaped grains. Studies of dielectric and electric properties in a wide temperature range (30–500 °C) at different frequencies (100 Hz–1 MHz) exhibit an anomaly at 291?±?2 °C, which is related to ferroelectric to paraelectric phase transition as suggested by hysteresis loop at room temperature. The values and nature of temperature variation of dc conductivity exhibit the NTCR behavior of the compound.  相似文献

The structural origin of high piezoelectricity in perovskite-type relaxor ferroelectrics is a fundamental issue that remains elusive for decades. In this study, high and unstable piezoelectricity for the poled ceramics, accompanied with a crossover from a nonergodic relaxor to an ergodic relaxor state at room temperature, has been observed for 0.95(Bi0.5Na0.5)1-x (Li0.5Sm0.5) x TiO3–0.05BaTiO3 ceramics with x = 0.06. The result suggests that the high piezoelectric activity origins from the electric field-induced-ordered nanodomains. The rapid loss of piezoelectricity stems from the reversibility of the ordered nanodomains after removing applied electric field.  相似文献

(1-x)Ba(Fe0.5Nb0.5)O3 -xBiYbO3 (BFN-xBY) ceramics were prepared by a conventional solid-state reaction method. The dielectric properties and relaxation behavior of BFN-xBY ceramics were analyzed according to dielectric and impedance spectroscopy. Dielectric permittivity of the ceramics increases with increasing temperature below 500 K then remains unchanged up to 700 K, while corresponding loss factor decreases with the increase of temperature below 500 K then increase slowly. Defect compensation mechanism of this system was analyzed in detail. The giant dielectric behavior of the ceramics arises from the internal barrier layer capacitor (IBLC) effect. Polarization effect at insulating grain boundaries between semiconducting grains accompanied by a strong Maxwell-Wagner (MW) relaxation mode. The characteristic of grain boundaries was revealed using impedance spectroscope and the universal dielectric response law.  相似文献

This study investigated the microstructure, crystal structure, and electrical properties of (1???x)Bi1/2Na1/2TiO3xSrTiO3 (BNST100x; x?=?0.20, 0.22, 0.24, 0.26, 0.28, and 0.30) lead?free piezoceramics. The average grain size of BNST100x ceramics decreased with increasing SrTiO3 content. A phase transition from nonergodic relaxor (NER) to ergodic relaxor (ER) was observed at x?=?0.26, and the highest unipolar strain under 4 kV/mm electric field, of 0.25% (d33*?≈?620 pm/V), was obtained at x?=?0.28. We found that the BNST26 and BNST28 compositions yielded the competitive advantage of larger strain values under lower operating fields compared with other BNT–based lead–free piezoelectric ceramics. Therefore, we regard these ceramics as promising candidates for actuator applications.  相似文献

A series of microwave dielectric ceramics of (1-x) BiVO4 -xLn2/3MoO4 (Ln = Er, Sm, Nd and La; x = 0.06, 0.08, 0.10) sintered below 900 °C were prepared via solid-state reaction. As the x values increase, the monoclinic scheelite continuously changes to a tetragonal structure at x = 0.10. The incorporation of Ln2/3MoO4 into the BiVO4 matrix increases the product (Q × f) of quality factor (Q) and resonance frequency (f), and temperature coefficient (τ f ), but lowers the dielectric constant (ε r). Microwave dielectric ceramics with low sintering temperatures (<900 °C) are obtained: ε r of ~71.1, 81.6, 75.6 and ~75.3; Q × f values of ~8292, 5508, 8695 and 9043 GHz; τ f of ~ ?51, 134, 149 and 158 ppm/°C, for 0.94BiVO4–0.06Er2/3MoO4, 0.92BiVO4–0.08Sm2/3MoO4, 0.9BiVO4–0.1Nd2/3MoO4 and 0.9BiVO4–0.1La2/3MoO4 ceramics, respectively. Moreover, (1-x) BiVO4 -xLn2/3MoO4 (Ln = Er, Sm, Nd and La; x = 0.06, 0.08 and 0.10) ceramics are chemically compatible with both Ag and Cu powders at their sintering temperatures. The series of microwave dielectric ceramics might be potential candidates for low temperature co-fired ceramics (LTCC) technology applications.  相似文献

Objective

Recent MRI studies have shown that the orientation of nerve fibres relative to the main magnetic field affects the R2*(= 1/T2*) relaxation rate in white matter (WM) structures. The underlying physical causes have been discussed in several studies but are still not completely understood. However, understanding these effects in detail is of great importance since this might serve as a basis for the development of new diagnostic tools and/or improve quantitative susceptibility mapping techniques. Therefore, in addition to the known angular dependence of R2*, the current study investigates the relationship between fibre orientation and the longitudinal relaxation rate, R1 (= 1/T1), as well as the apparent water content.

Materials and methods

For a group of 16 healthy subjects, a series of gradient echo, echo-planar and diffusion weighted images were acquired at 3T from which the decay rates, the apparent water content and the diffusion direction were reconstructed. The diffusion weighted data were used to determine the angle between the principle fibre direction and the main magnetic field to examine the angular dependence of R1 and apparent water content.

Results

The obtained results demonstrate that both parameters depend on the fibre orientation and exhibit a positive correlation with the angle between fibre direction and main magnetic field.

Conclusion

These observations could be helpful to improve and/or constrain existing biophysical models of brain microstructure by imposing additional constraints resulting from the observed angular dependence R1 and apparent water content in white matter.

Objective

Arterial spin labelling (ASL) techniques benefit from the increased signal-to-noise ratio and the longer T 1 relaxation times available at ultra-high field. Previous pulsed ASL studies at 7 T concentrated on the superior regions of the brain because of the larger transmit radiofrequency inhomogeneity experienced at ultra-high field that hinders an adequate inversion of the blood bolus when labelling in the neck. Recently, researchers have proposed to overcome this problem with either the use of dielectric pads, through dedicated transmit labelling coils, or special adiabatic inversion pulses.

Materials and methods

We investigate the performance of an optimised time-resampled frequency-offset corrected inversion (TR-FOCI) pulse designed to cause inversion at much lower peak B 1 + . In combination with a PICORE labelling, the perfusion signal obtained with this pulse is compared against that obtained with a FOCI pulse, with and without dielectric pads.

Results

Mean grey matter perfusion with the TR-FOCI was 52.5 ± 10.3 mL/100 g/min, being significantly higher than the 34.6 ± 2.6 mL/100 g/min obtained with the FOCI pulse. No significant effect of the dielectric pads was observed.

Conclusion

The usage of the B 1 + -optimised TR-FOCI pulse results in a significantly higher perfusion signal. PICORE–ASL is feasible at ultra-high field with no changes to operating conditions.

Objectives

Our objectives involved identifying whether repeated averaging in basal and mid left ventricular myocardial levels improves precision and correlation with collagen volume fraction for 11 heartbeat MOLLI T 1 mapping versus assessment at a single ventricular level.

Materials and methods

For assessment of T 1 mapping precision, a cohort of 15 healthy volunteers underwent two CMR scans on separate days using an 11 heartbeat MOLLI with a 5(3)3 beat scheme to measure native T 1 and a 4(1)3(1)2 beat post-contrast scheme to measure post-contrast T 1, allowing calculation of partition coefficient and ECV. To assess correlation of T 1 mapping with collagen volume fraction, a separate cohort of ten aortic stenosis patients scheduled to undergo surgery underwent one CMR scan with this 11 heartbeat MOLLI scheme, followed by intraoperative tru-cut myocardial biopsy. Six models of myocardial diffuse fibrosis assessment were established with incremental inclusion of imaging by averaging of the basal and mid-myocardial left ventricular levels, and each model was assessed for precision and correlation with collagen volume fraction.

Results

A model using 11 heart beat MOLLI imaging of two basal and two mid ventricular level averaged T 1 maps provided improved precision (Intraclass correlation 0.93 vs 0.84) and correlation with histology (R 2 = 0.83 vs 0.36) for diffuse fibrosis compared to a single mid-ventricular level alone. ECV was more precise and correlated better than native T 1 mapping.

Conclusion

T 1 mapping sequences with repeated averaging could be considered for applications of 11 heartbeat MOLLI, especially when small changes in native T 1/ECV might affect clinical management.

The structural, microstructural, optical, electrical and dielectrical properties of nanocrystalline Fe substituted BaTiO3 synthesized by sol-gel auto combustion have been investigated. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed the existence of the tetragonal phase for lower Fe content (x = 0.0–0.3) whereas, coexistence of the tetragonal and hexagonal structure of higher Fe content (x = 0.4 and 0.5). The lattice constant (a and c) and unit cell volume (V) increases with increase in Fe content; and an average crystallite size (t) was recorded in the range of ~14–20 nm. The surface morphology as examined using field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and the compositional stoichiometry was confirmed by energy dispersive spectrum (EDS) analysis. The UV-Vis spectra showed that the band gap energy sensitively depends on the Fe concentration x. DC-electrical conductivity (σ) was recorded in the temperature range of 333–714 K which was found to be increases with increasing temperature and Fe concentration; indicating that an electrical conduction was a thermally activated process. The type of temperature dependent DC conductivity indicates that the electrical conduction in the material is a thermally activated process. The dependencies of the conductivity contributions were predicted from the simple defect model presented, in which oxygen vacancies charge compensate Fe substitution of Ti. Dielectrical property was measured as a function of frequency in the range 50 Hz - 5 MHz at room temperature which was found to be higher at lower frequencies. Dielectric constant (ε’) and loss tangent (tan δ) shows strong compositional as well as frequency dependences.  相似文献

In the present work, composition dependent crystal structure, ferroelectric, piezoelectric, and temperature dependent dielectric properties of the BiGaO3-modified (1–x)(0.65Bi1.05FeO3–0.35BaTiO3) (BFBT35–xBG, where x?=?0.00–0.03) lead-free ceramics were systematically investigated by solid-state reaction method, followed by water quenching process. The substitution of BG successfully diffuses into the lattice of the BFBT ceramics, without changing the pseudo-cubic structure of the samples. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results revealed that the average grain size was increased with BG-content in BFBT system. The BFBT–xBG ceramics showed a maximum in permittivity (?max) at temperatures (Tmax) above 500 °C in the compositional range of 0.00?≤?x?≤?0.03. The electro-strain is measured to be 0.125% (d*33 ~ 250 pm/V) under unipolar fields (5 kV/mm) for BFBT–0.01BG ceramics. The same composition (x?=?0.01), large static piezoelectric constant (d33 ~ 165 pC/N) and electromechanical coupling factor (kp ~ 25%) were obtained. The above investigated characterizations suggests that BFBT–BG material is favorable for piezoelectric and high temperature applications.  相似文献

Preparation and electrical properties of sintered bodies consisting of monophase cubic spinel oxides, CrXMn1.5Co(1.0-X)Ni0.5O4 (0 ≦ X ≦ 0.42), were investigated. Specimens with compositions within X = 0.42 were prepared as starting materials. The element of Cr was used to exchange Co3+ in octahedral sites (B sites) with Cr3+ so that the hopping mechanism can be discussed. The sintered bodies with mono cubic spinel structure were confirmed to be prepared by heat-treatment for 48 h in air at 1000 °C to convert them into a cubic spinel structure after sintering at 1400 °C. The semiconductive characteristics of the sintered bodies were determined as p-type because the Seebeck coefficients were all positive. The electrical conduction of the sintered bodies was concluded to be controlled by the small polaron hopping mechanism. In the region 0.1 ≦ X ≦ 0.42, the lattice constant increases and electrical conduction (σ) decreases linearly with increasing Cr concentration. The decrease in σ and the increase in the lattice constant corresponded to the increase in Cr concentration by which the jumping distance of electrons between Mn3+ and Mn4+ is lengthened.  相似文献

Objectives

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of the temporal resolution (T res) and acquisition duration (AD) on the measurement accuracy of contrast concentration–time curves (CTCs), and derived phenomenological and pharmacokinetic parameter values, in a dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI experiment using a novel phantom test device.

Materials and methods

‘Ground truth’ CTCs were established using a highly precise optical imaging system. These precisely known CTCs were produced in an anthropomorphic environment, which mimicked the male pelvic region, and presented to the MRI scanner for measurement. The T res was varied in the range [2–24.4 s] and the AD in the range [30–600 s], and the effects on the measurement accuracy were quantified.

Results

For wash-in parameter measurements, large underestimation errors (up to 40%) were found using T res values ≥16.3 s; however, the measured wash-out rate did not vary greatly across all T res values tested. Errors in derived K trans and v e values were below 14 and 12% for acquisitions with {T res ≤ 8.1 s, AD ≥ 360 s} and {T res ≤ 16.3 s, AD ≥ 360 s}, respectively, but increased dramatically outside these ranges.

Conclusions

Errors in measured wash-in, wash-out, K trans, and v e parameters were minimised using T res ≤ 8.1 s and AD ≥ 360 s, with large errors recorded outside of this range.
