This paper studies open-loop stabilization problem for bimodal systems with continuous vector field. It is based on the earlier work of the authors on the controllability problem for the same class of systems. A full characterization of stabilizability is established by presenting algebraic necessary and sufficient conditions. It is also shown that controllability implies stabilizability for these systems in a very similar fashion to the linear case.  相似文献

This paper focus on a stabilization problem for a class of nonlinear systems with periodic nonlinearities, called pendulum-like systems. A notion of Lagrange stabilizability is introduced, which extends the concept of Lagrange stability to the case of controller synthesis. Based on this concept, we address the problem of designing a linear dynamic output controller which stabilizes (in the Lagrange sense) a pendulum-like system within the framework of the H control theory. Lagrange stabilizability conditions for uncertainty-free systems and systems with norm-bounded uncertainty in the linear part are derived, respectively. When these conditions are satisfied, the desired stabilization output feedback controller can be constructed via feasible solutions of a certain set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs).  相似文献

In this paper the problem of the stabilization of a class of continuous time bilinear systems, containing the class of the homogeneous ones, is studied, and simple stabiliza-bility conditions are derived, expressed in terms of the stability or stabilizability of some linear or homogeneous bilinear subsystems of the given system. On this basis, it is shown that this problem can be decomposed into subproblems and reduced to the stabilization of homogeneous subsystems of the system, obtained through successive decompositions of it. A sufficient condition for the stabilization of a homogeneous bilinear system is also given.  相似文献

This paper addresses the issue of global and semi-global stabilizability of an important class of nonlinear systems, namely, a cascade of a linear, controllable system followed by an asymptotically (even exponentially) stable nonlinear system. Such structure may arise from the normal form of “minimum phase” nonlinear systems that can be rendered input-output linear by feedback. These systems are known to be stabilizable in a local sense. And, in some cases, global stabilizability results have also been obtained. It is also known, however, that when the linear “connection” to the nonlinear system is nonminimum phase, i.e,, it has zeros with positive real part, then global or semi-global stabilizability may be impossible. Indeed, it has been shown that for any given nonminimum phase linear subsystem, there exists an asymptotically stable nonlinear subsystem for which the cascade cannot be globally stabilized. We expand on the understanding of this area by establishing, for a broader class of systems, conditions under which global or semiglobal stabilization is impossible for linear and nonlinear feedback  相似文献

During the past several years, there have been increasing research activities in the field of stability analysis and switching stabilization for switched systems. This paper aims to briefly survey recent results in this field. First, the stability analysis for switched systems is reviewed. We focus on the stability analysis for switched linear systems under arbitrary switching, and we highlight necessary and sufficient conditions for asymptotic stability. After a brief review of the stability analysis under restricted switching and the multiple Lyapunov function theory, the switching stabilization problem is studied, and a variety of switching stabilization methods found in the literature are outlined. Then the switching stabilizability problem is investigated, that is under what condition it is possible to stabilize a switched system by properly designing switching control laws. Note that the switching stabilizability problem has been one of the most elusive problems in the switched systems literature. A necessary and sufficient condition for asymptotic stabilizability of switched linear systems is described here.   相似文献

We present a nonsmooth output feedback framework for local and/or global stabilization of a class of nonlinear systems that are not smoothly stabilizable nor uniformly observable. A systematic design method is presented for the construction of stabilizing, dynamic output compensators that are nonsmooth but HÖlder continuous. A new ingredient of the proposed output feedback control scheme is the introduction of a recursive observer design algorithm, making it possible to construct a reduced-order observer step-by-step, in a naturally augmented manner. Such a nonsmooth design leads to a number of new results on output feedback stabilization of nonlinear systems. One of them is the global stabilizability of a chain of odd power integrators by HÖlder continuous output feedback. The other one is the local stabilization using nonsmooth output feedback for a wide class of nonlinear systems in the Hessenberg form studied in a previous paper, where global stabilizability by nonsmooth state feedback was already proved to be possible.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the problem of robust stabilization for generalized state-space systems with parameter uncertainty. The parameter uncertainty under consideration is time-invariant and unknown, but is norm-bounded. The problem we address is to design a state feedback controller such that the resulting closed-loop system is regular, impulsefree and stable for all admissible uncertainties. Via the notion of 'stabilizability and impulse eliminatibility' the robust stabilization problem is solved. Necessary and sufficient conditions for stabilizability and impulse eliminatibility are derived. When these conditions are satisfied, the desired stabilization state feedback controller can be constructed through finding parameters satisfying a certain matrix equation. Finally, an illustrative example is given to show the feasibility of the proposed technique.  相似文献
