A porous nanowall Co3O4 film is prepared by a facile cathodic electrodeposition. The as-prepared porous nanowall Co3O4 film shows a net-like porous structure with huge porosity. The porous network is made up of free standing interconnected Co3O4 nanoflakes with a thickness of 20 nm. As cathode material for pseudocapacitors, porous nanowall Co3O4 film exhibits weaker polarization, higher electrochemical reactivity and better cycling performance as compared to the dense Co3O4 film. The specific capacitance of porous nanowall Co3O4 film is 325 F g−1 at 2 A g−1 and 247 F g−1 at 40 A g−1, respectively, much higher than that of the dense Co3O4 film (230 F g−1 at 2 A g−1 and 167 F g−1 at 40 A g−1). The better pseudocapacitive performances of the porous nanowall Co3O4 film are attributed to its highly porous morphology, which provides large reaction surface and short ion diffusion paths, and relaxes the volume change caused by the reaction during the cycling process.  相似文献

Co3O4 thin film is synthesized on ITO by a chemical bath deposition. The prepared Co3O4 thin film is characterized by X-ray diffraction, and scanning electron microscopy. Electrochemical capacitive behavior of synthesized Co3O4 thin film is investigated by cyclic voltammetry, constant current charge/discharge and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Scanning electron microscopy images show that Co3O4 thin film is composed of spherical-like coarse particles, together with some pores among particles. Electrochemical studies reveal that capacitive characteristic of Co3O4 thin film mainly results from pseudocapacitance. Co3O4 thin film exhibits a maximum specific capacitance of 227 F g−1 at the specific current of 0.2 A g−1. The specific capacitance reduces to 152 F g−1 when the specific current increases to 1.4 A g−1. The specific capacitance retention ratio is 67% at the specific current range from 0.2 to 1.4 A g−1.  相似文献

A Co3O4/graphene hybrid material was fabricated using a simple in situ reduction process and demonstrated as a highly reversible anode for lithium rechargeable batteries. The hybrid is composed of 5 nm size Co3O4 particles uniformly dispersed on graphene, as observed by transmission electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis. The Co3O4/graphene anode can deliver a capacity of more than 800 mA h g−1 reversibly at a 200 mA g−1 rate in the voltage range between 3.0 and 0.001 V. The high reversible capacity is retained at elevated current densities. At a current rate as high as 1000 mA g−1, the Co3O4/graphene anode can deliver more than 550 mA h g −1, which is significantly higher than the capacity of current commercial graphite anodes. The superior electrochemical performance of the Co3O4/graphene is attributed to its unique nanostructure, which intimately combines the conductive graphene network with uniformly dispersed nano Co3O4 particles.  相似文献

The monodispersed Ni doped MnCo2O4 mesoporous microspheres were synthesized through a simple ammonium bicarbonate-assisted solvothermal route. The spinel-type crystal structure with a lattice parameter of 8.199?Å for Mn0.8Ni0.2Co2O4 composition was obtained by using X-ray diffraction analysis. The Brunauer?Emmett?Teller (BET) specific surface area of the sample was found to be 75.78?m2 g?1 with an average pore diameter of 9.88?nm. Electron microscopy studies revealed that the stable mesoporous microspheres are constituted by well-connected aggregates of nanoparticles. The influence of Ni doping on the pseudo-capacitance of MnCo2O4 electrode was investigated by means of cyclic voltammetry in 6?M KOH electrolyte. We found that the spinel-type Mn0.8Ni0.2Co2O4 mesoporous microspheres exhibit specific capacitances of 1822 F g?1 at a scan rate of 5?mV/s. Furthermore, the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy analysis revealed the low resistance and good electrochemical stability of the sample.  相似文献

Uniform and spherical Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O(2−δ)Fδ powders were synthesized via NH3 and F coordination hydroxide co-precipitation. The effect of F coordination agent on the morphology, structure and electrochemical properties of the Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O(2−δ)Fδ were studied. The morphology, size, and distribution of (Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)(OH)(2−δ)Fδ particle diameter were improved in a shorter reaction time through the addition of F. The study suggested that the added F improves the layered characteristics of the lattice and the cyclic performance of Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 in the voltage range of 2.8-4.6 V. The initial capacity of the Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O1.96F0.04 was 178 mAh g−1, the maximum capacity was 186 mAh g−1 and the capacity after 50 cycles was 179 mAh g−1 in the voltage range of 2.8-4.6 V.  相似文献

Cobalt oxide (Co3O4) nanotubes have been successfully synthesized by chemically depositing cobalt hydroxide in anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) templates and thermally annealing at 500 °C. The synthesized nanotubes have been characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The electrochemical capacitance behavior of the Co3O4 nanotubes electrode was investigated by cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge-discharge studies and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in 6 mol L−1 KOH solution. The electrochemical data demonstrate that the Co3O4 nanotubes display good capacitive behavior with a specific capacitance of 574 F g−1 at a current density of 0.1 A g−1 and a good specific capacitance retention of ca. 95% after 1000 continuous charge-discharge cycles, indicating that the Co3O4 nanotubes can be promising electroactive materials for supercapacitor.  相似文献

Co3O4 microspheres were synthesized in mass production by a simple hydrothermal treatment. One micrometer-sized spherical particles with well-crystallization could be obtained by XRD and SEM. Higher specific surface area (93.4 m2 g−1) and larger pore volume (78.4 cm3 g−1) by BET measurements offered more interfacial bondings for extra sites of Li+ insertion, which resulted in the anomalous large initial irreversible capacity and capacity cycling loss due to SEI film formation. The capacity retention of Co3O4 microspheres involved first forming acted as Li-ion anode material is almost above 90% from 12th cycle and it retain lithium storage capacity of 550.2 mAh g−1 after 25 cycles, which show good long-life stability. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) tests before and after cyclic voltammetry measurements and charge-discharge experiments were carried out and the corresponding DLi values were also calculated. The relationship of the ac impedance spectra and the cycling behaviors was discussed. It is found that the decrease of capacity results from the larger Li+ charge-transfer impedance and the lower lithium-diffusion processes on cycling, which is in very good agreement with the electrochemical behaviors of Co3O4 electrode.  相似文献

Graphene nanosheet (GNS)/Co3O4 composite has been rapidly synthesized by microwave-assisted method. Field emission scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy observation reveals the homogeneous distribution of Co3O4 nanoparticles (3-5 nm in size) on graphene sheets. Electrochemical properties are characterized by cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge/discharge and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. A maximum specific capacitance of 243.2 F g−1 has been obtained at a scan rate of 10 mV s−1 in 6 M KOH aqueous solution for GNS/Co3O4 composite. Furthermore, the composite exhibits excellent long cycle life along with ∼95.6% specific capacitance retained after 2000 cycle tests.  相似文献

Non-spherical Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 powders have been synthesized using a two-step drying method with 5% excess LiOH at 800 °C for 20 h. The tap-density of the powder obtained is 2.95 g cm−3. This value is remarkably higher than that of the Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 powders obtained by other methods, which range from 1.50 g cm−3 to 2.40 g cm−3. The precursor and Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 are characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). XPS studies show that the predominant oxidation states of Ni, Co and Mn in the precursor are 2+, 3+ and 4+, respectively. XRD results show that the Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 material obtained by the two-step drying method has a well-layered structure with a small amount of cation mixing. SEM confirms that the Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 particles obtained by this method are uniform. The initial discharge capacity of 167 mAh g−1 is obtained between 3 V and 4.3 V at a current of 0.2 C rate. The capacity of 159 mAh g−1 is retained at the end of 30 charge-discharge cycle with a capacity retention of 95%.  相似文献

In order to get homogeneous layered oxide Li[Ni1/3Mn1/3Co1/3]O2 as a lithium insertion positive electrode material, we applied the metal acetates decomposition method. The oxide compounds were calcined at various temperatures, which results in greater difference in morphological (shape, particle size and specific surface area) and the electrochemical (first charge profile, reversible capacity and rate capability) differences. The Li[Ni1/3Mn1/3Co1/3]O2 powders were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), charge/discharge cycling, cyclic voltammetry and SEM. XRD experiment revealed that the layered Li[Ni1/3Mn1/3Co1/3]O2 material can be best synthesized at temperature of 800 °C. In that synthesized temperature, the sample showed high discharge capacity of 190 mAh g−1 as well as stable cycling performance at a current density of 0.2 mA cm−2 in the voltage range 2.3-4.6 V. The reversible capacity after 100 cycles is more than 190 mAh g−1 at room temperature.  相似文献

A porous net-like β-Ni(OH)2/γ-NiOOH composite film is prepared by a chemical bath deposition. The as-prepared porous composite film shows a highly porous structure built up by many interconnected nanoflakes with a thickness of about 20 nm. The pseudocapacitive behavior of the porous composite film is investigated by cyclic voltammograms (CV) and galvanostatic charge–discharge tests in 1 M KOH. The porous β-Ni(OH)2/γ-NiOOH composite film exhibits a noticeable pseudocapacitance with 1420 F g−1 at 2 A g−1 and 1098 F g−1 at 40 A g−1, respectively, much higher than those of the dense Ni(OH)2 film (897 F g−1 at 2 A g−1 and 401 at 40 A g−1). The porous architecture is responsible for the enhancement of the electrochemical properties, and it increases electrochemical reaction area, shortens ions diffusion paths and relaxes volume change caused by the electrochemical reactions.  相似文献

A novel three-dimensional (3D) porous structured Co3O4 was prepared by electrodeposition combined with thermal-treatment method. The electrochemical properties of as-prepared 3D porous Co3O4 were closely related to its morphology and structure which can be modified by various thermal-treatment temperatures. The 3D porous Co3O4 prepared at 300 °C exhibited smaller crystallite size and higher capacity compared to 400 °C as well as 500 °C. As used in lithium-ion batteries, the porous Co3O4 anodes delivered a high reversible capacity of about 1100 mAh g−1 with no obvious capacity fading up to 50 cycles and exhibited higher rate capability compared with Co3O4 foil anodes. The enhanced electrochemical performances of 3D porous Co3O4 anodes are attributed to its unique 3D porous structure which can offer a large materials/electrolyte contact area and accommodate the strain induced by the volume change during cycling.  相似文献

Layered LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2 materials were synthesized at different sintering temperatures using spray-drying precursor with molar ratio of Li/Me = 1.04 (Me = transition metals). The influences of sintering temperature on crystal structure, morphology and electrochemical performance of LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2 materials have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and charge-discharge test. As a result, material synthesized at 850 °C has excellent electrochemical performance, delivering an initial discharge capacity of 173.1 mAh g− 1 between 2.8 and 4.3 V at a current density of 16 mA g− 1 and exhibiting good cycling performance.  相似文献

Nanostructured spinel NiMn2O4 arrays have been fabricated by a facile hydrothermal approach and further investigated as binder-free electrode for high-performance supercapacitors. Compared with Mn3O4, NiMn2O4 exhibited higher specific capacitances (662.5 F g−1 and 370.5 F g−1 in different electrolytes at the current density of 1 A g−1) and excellent cycling stability (~96% capacitance retention after 1000 cycles) in a three-electrode system. Such a novel microstructure grown directly on the conductive substrate provided sufficient active sites for redox reaction resulting in their enhanced electrochemical behaviors. Their improved performances suggested that ultrathin sheet-like NiMn2O4 arrays on Ni foam substrate were a promising electrode material for supercapacitors.  相似文献

Hierarchical Co3O4 nanostructure is synthesized via a self-assembled process in molten hydroxides. The morphologies, crystal structures and the phase transformation processes are analyzed by field-emission scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray diffraction. As an anode material for lithium ion batteries, the hierarchical Co3O4 exhibit an initial capacity of 1336 mAh g−1 and a stable capacity of 680 mAh g−1 over 50 cycles. More importantly, high rate capability is obtained at different current densities between 140 and 1120 mA g−1. The improved electrochemical performance of Co3O4 could be attributed to the unique hierarchical nanostructure.  相似文献

Synthesis, electrochemical, and structural properties of LiNi0.8Co0.15Al0.05O2 cathodes prepared by TiO2 nanoparticles coating on a Ni0.8Co0.15Al0.05(OH)2 precursor have been investigated by the variation of coating concentration and annealing temperature. TiO2-coated cathodes showed that Ti elements were distributed throughout the particles. Among the coated cathodes, the 0.6 wt% TiO2-coated cathode prepared by annealing at 750 °C for 20 h exhibited the highest reversible capacity of 176 mAh g−1 and capacity retention of 92% after 40 cycles at a rate of 1C (=190 mA g−1). On the other hand, an uncoated cathode showed a reversible first discharge capacity of 186 mAh g−1 and the same capacity retention value to the TiO2-coated sample at a 1C rate. However, under a 1C rate cycling at 60 °C for 30 cycles, the uncoated sample showed a reversible capacity of 40 mAh g−1, while a TiO2-coated one showed 71 mAh g−1. This significant improvement of the coated sample was due to the formation of a possible solid solution between TiO2 and LiNi0.8Co0.15Al0.05O2. This effect was more evident upon annealing the charged sample while increasing the annealing temperature, and at 400 °C, the coated one showed a more suppressed formation of the NiO phase from the spinel LiNi2O4 phase than the uncoated sample.  相似文献

In this paper, we have reported a simple and rapid approach for the large-scale synthesis of β-Co(OH)2 nanoplatelets via the microwave hydrothermal process using potassium hydroxide as mineralizer at 140 °C for 3 h. Calcining the β-Co(OH)2 nanoplatelets at 350 °C for 2 h, porous Co3O4 nanoplatelets with a 3D quasi-single-crystal framework were obtained. The process of converting the β-Co(OH)2 nanoplatelets into the Co3O4 nanoplatelets is a self-supported topotactic transformation, which is easily controlled by varying the calcining temperature. The textural characteristics of Co3O4 products have strong positive effects on their electrochemical properties as electrode materials in lithium-ion batteries. The obtained porous Co3O4 nanoplatelets exhibit a low initial irreversible loss (18.1%), ultrahigh capacity, and excellent cyclability. For example, a reversible capacity of 900 mAh g−1 can be maintained after 100 cycles.  相似文献

Different micro- and nanostructures of cobalt oxide are grown on Ni foam using surface-modifying agents via a simple one-pot hydrothermal synthesis process with the help of surface modifying agents. The structural, chemical, morphological, and electrochemical properties are systematically investigated using a potentiostat, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) analysis. The pristine Co3O4, cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) mediated Co3O4, and Triton X-100 mediated Co3O4 form the chestnut bur flower, dandelion flower, and star anise-like morphology, respectively. The electrochemical measurements demonstrate that interconnected nanonetwork of dandelion flower-like morphology obtained via CTAB delivers the highest specific capacitance of 521.63 F g?1. Since an interconnected network provides the channel path for high electronic conductivity and low diffusion resistance, the fabricated electrode provides excellent electrochemical stability over the 3000 charge-discharge cycles. It retains 95.29% of the initial capacitance after 3000 charge-discharge cycles. The result proved that surface modification of Co3O4 material improved the charge storage performance of electrodes for supercapacitor applications.  相似文献

A carbonate co-precipitation method was employed to prepare spherical Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2 cathode material. The precursor, [Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]CO3, was prepared using ammonia as chelating agent under CO2 atmosphere. The spherical Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2 was prepared by mixing the precalcined [Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]CO3 with LiOH followed by high temperature calcination. The preparation conditions such as ammonia concentration, co-precipitation temperature, calcination temperature and Li/[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3] ratio were varied to optimize the physical and electrochemical properties of the prepared Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2. The structural, morphological, and electrochemical properties of the prepared LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 were characterized by XRD, SEM, and galvanostatic charge-discharge cycling. The optimized material has a spherical particle shape and a well ordered layered structure, and it also has an initial discharge capacity of 162.7 mAh g− 1 in a voltage range of 2.8-4.3 V and a capacity retention of 94.8% after a hundred cycles. The optimized ammonia concentration, co-precipitation temperature, calcination temperature, and Li/[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3] ratio are 0.3 mol L− 1, 60 °C, 850 °C, and 1.10, respectively.  相似文献

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), the traditional material for polyester food packaging, is difficult to degrade. Taking PET-like plastics as carbon source, this study fabricates cobalt oxide (Co3O4)/carbon composites with flake structure through carbonization and solvothermal synthesis, which can serve as a useful supercapacitor electrode. Then, the electrochemical properties of samples were investigated under different heating time of solvothermal synthesis. Experiments show that the heating time of solvothermal synthesis had a certain impact on the electrical capacity and charging/discharging performance of the composites. Among the samples, SL-8 stands out with an electrical capacity of 110.8 F g?1, the retention reached 88.82% after 2000 cycles. This composite offers a promising electrode material for supercapacitors, and sheds new lights on solving white pollution.  相似文献
