The 2 phase transformation in fractured high temperature stress rupture Ti-48Al-2Nb(at.%) alloy has been studied by analytical electron microscopy. 2 and phases were found at grain boundaries. 2 layers that suspended in layers and interfacial ledge higher than 2d (111) at /2 interfaces were observed in the lamellar grains. These facts indicated that 2 phase transformation and dynamic recrystallization have occurred during high temperature stress rupture deformation. It can be concluded that deformation induced 2 phase transformation and dynamic recrystallization resulted in the presence of particles at grain boundaries. A structural and compositional transition area between deformation-induced 2(or ) and its adjacently original (or 2) phases was found by HREM and EDS and is suggested as a way to transform between and 2 phase during high temperature stress rupture deformation. The transition area was formed by slide of partial dislocations on close-packed planes and diffusion of atoms.  相似文献

Longitudinal and shear wave ultrasonic attenuations have been measured in high-purity Pb on two single crystals obtained from the same ingot. The measurements were done at low temperatures, at different frequencies, and in transverse magnetic fields, up to a field of 7.3 kG. The propagation directions in the two crystals were along [100] and [110]. For some propagation and polarization directions the s / n ratio is found to be frequency-independent, while for others, large divergences in the s / n ratios at different frequencies are observed. A sharp decrease of s / n nearT c is observed for a particular longitudinal wave propagation, but not in any shear wave propagation. In some cases s / n is found to be abnormally high and this feature is associated with a peak in attenuation n and a relatively high n at 7.2 K. None of the s / n curves fits closely to any BCS energy gap. For longitudinal waves the high magnetic field (H) dependence of the normal state attenuation was found to agree qualitatively with the free electron theory for propagation along [100], but not for propagation along [110]. For shear waves the high-field attenuations do not extrapolate to zero asH tends to infinity. For all propagation and polarization directions the high-field attenuations show 1/H 2 field dependence.  相似文献

Single crystals of -Al2O3 were implanted with iron ions at room temperature to fluences ranging from 4×1016 Fe cm–2 to 1×1017 Fe cm–2. The microstructure and composition in the implanted region were examined using analytical electron microscopy techniques. Special emphasis was placed on monitoring the microstructural changes which take place during post-implantation annealing. Clusters of metallic -Fe were identified in the specimen after implantation to a dose of 1×1017 Fe cm–2. Analytical electron microscopy of implanted specimens annealed in oxygen revealed the redistribution of the implanted iron and the formation of surface precipitates of -Fe2O3, subsurface precipitates of various forms of spinel, and, in some cases, subsurface precipitates of iron, depending on the annealing temperature. Examination of implanted specimens annealed under reducing conditions revealed the presence of precipitates of -Fe.  相似文献

A method is proposed for growing large -Sn single crystals without their disintegration as a result of the phase transition. -Sn crystals are prepared by freezing the closed system water–Sn–seed in such a way that the pressure exerted by the expanding ice minimizes the amount of -Sn nuclei and reduces the growth rate.  相似文献

We present data on the copper isotope effect (63Cu-65Cu), Cu =-nTc/nmCu, for two isotopic pairs of oxygen-deficient YBa2Cu3O7–, where varies between 0.06 and 0.52. Cu is below 0.01 at =0.06 (fully oxygenated), it takes values between –0.14 and –0.34 in the 60 K plateau. Larger negative values of Cu are observed away from the plateau. The dependence of Cu is similar to that of the pressure effect dnTc/dP.  相似文献

The evolution of various nanocrystalline phases in the Cu-Zn system during the course of mechanical alloying of elemental powder blends, manifests a similar sequence of phase formation in all the compositions. Zinc-rich phases were always first to form, which can be attributed to the diversities of diffusivities and diffusion distances in the constituents. The extent of zinc in -phase becomes significant only after turns nanocrystalline. The crystallite size of reached a minimum (18 nm) near the - phase boundary, while the and phases showed quite coarse crystallite size due to their low melting points. Alloying was sluggish during dry milling compared to wet milling, or at lower milling speed, which demonstrates the effects of oxidation during milling and lower milling energy.  相似文献

A TEM study has been made of the bainite reaction in five hypoeutectoid Ti-X alloys, where X was successively cobalt, chromium, copper, iron and nickel. Rational orientation relationships were demonstrated amongst eutectoid , eutectoid intermetallic compound and the matrix in Ti-Ni, Ti-Co and Ti-Cr. Formation of Ti2Co at : boundaries was observed. Eutectoid in bainite was found to be slightly misoriented with respect to proeutectoid , indicating that it is separately nucleated, perhaps sympathetically, rather than the result of the continued growth of proeutectoid . Eutectoid Ti2Co and Ti2Cu crystals in bainite were approximately equiaxed whereas Ti-Cr2 crystals were elongated, a result ascribed to a ledge height-to-spacing ratio / at intermetallic compound crystal: boundaries approaching that of eutectoid (: boundaries in Ti-Cr but not in the other two systems. In the Ti-Fe alloy, eutectoid and eutectoid TiFe were directly observed to have ledged interphase boundaries with their matrix, but with different inter-ledge spacings and growth directions. Observation of pearlite lamellae growing normal to the broad faces of proeutectoid plates in the Ti-Ni alloy indicates that this mode of eutectoid decomposition, like that of bainite, can develop from partially coherent interphase boundaries. The suggestion was offered that pearlite forms when approachesh at the nucleating proeutectoid : interface and that bainite develops when h at this interface.  相似文献

Solid-state phase transformation of BaB2O4 during the isothermal annealing process for both to and to were investigated using a platinum crucible. For the -phase crystal at the -phase stable temperature (> 925 °C), the phase transforms to the phase perfectly below the melting temperature of 1100 °C. Meanwhile, for the -phase crystal at the -phase stable temperature (< 925 °C), the phase transforms to the phase perfectly above 800 °C. There is some difference in phase transformation behaviour between bulk-shape crystals and the powder, caused by thermal stress.  相似文献

In the present study, silica-calcium phosphate composites (SiO2-CaP composites) were developed by mixing the starting materials (SiO2 and CaHPO4) in different ratios with the addition of 0.1% w/v NaOH solution. The phase composition of the SiO2-CaP composites was determined by XRD and FTIR. After thermal treatment at 350 ^C/1 h and at 1000 ^C/3.5 h; all SiO2-CaP composites composed of -quartz, -cristobalite and -Ca2P2O7. The presence of calcium phosphate enhanced the transformation of -quartz into -cristobalite at 1000 ^C. SEM observation indicated favorable attachment and spreading of neonatal rat calvaria osteoblasts onto the surface of silica-rich SiO2-CaP composites. After attachment, these cells produced significantly higher amount of protein and expressed higher AP activity than cells attached to silica-poor samples. Results of the study suggested that the silica-based composites are more bioactive than calcium phosphate-based composites. Silica promoted the expression of osteoblast phenotype by both solution-mediated effect and direct interaction with the surface of the substrate.  相似文献

Experimental evidence for flux-line cutting in superconductors (intersection and cross-joining of singly quantized vortices) is briefly reviewed. The interaction energy between two straight vortices tilted at an angle ( 0)is then shown to be finite in the London model, i.e., in the limit of vanishing core radius. Next, the activation energy and maximum interaction force are calculated for the vortices in an analytic approximation to the Ginzburg-Landau theory. Here two competing interactions determine the behavior. Electromagnetic repulsion (0 < < /2) varies as cos and decays over distances scaled by the penetration depth , while core attraction is independent of and varies over distances scaled by the coherence length . The force is always repulsive at large flux-line separation (0 < < /2) and its maximum decreases rapidly as decreases, so that flux-line cutting isexpected to be more probable in low- materials. Preferentially orientated precipitation of -TiO2 (rutile) needles in single crystals of MnTiO3 grown by a floating-zone method under a controlled atmosphere of oxygen fugacity was studied. Optical microscopy and X-ray analysis revealed that the orientation relation between the -TiO2 precipitates and the MnTiO2 matrix is: {000 1}MnTiO3// {111}-TiO2 and 11¯20MnTiO3// 110-TiO2. The precipitation phenomenon was explained by introducing a nucleation and growth mechanism which was experimentally supported by heat treating experiments.  相似文献

A specific processing of EBSD data is proposed to study the texture inheritance of titanium or zirconium alloys. A non standard misorientation map is calculated to localise the colonies inherited from the same parent grain. The calculation of the parent orientation from its inherited variants detailed in previous works has been adapted to the data obtained from an automated EBSD analysis. Finally, a method to derive the orientation map of the parent phase from that of the inherited phase is proposed. The resulting and COMs are used to study some aspects of the variant selection occurring in the transformation of a T40 sample.  相似文献

Two R--sialon (R0.6Si9.3Al2.7O0.9N15.1, R=Nd and Er) compositions were first fired at 1750°C/25 min and 1650°C/2 h respectively for completion of the phase transformation. Elongated -sialon grain morphology was developed in both samples after being re-fired at 1800°C for different periods of time. The growth in width of R--sialon grains is controlled by diffusion in the liquid, while the length growth tends to be interfacial reaction controlled. The anisotropic growth of R--sialon is attributed to the large difference in the growth rate constant between the length and the width directions of the grain.  相似文献

The crystal structure of film samples of "high-level" (based on 238Pu) and low-level (based on 239Pu) metallic plutonium during their prolonged (up to 343 days) storage (self-irradiation) at room temperature was studied by X-ray diffraction. In the samples of high-level plutonium, the -Pu and -Pu lattices coexist. In the period of 40-60 days, the other known crystal modifications of plutonium (-Pu, -Pu, -Pu, and -Pu) are also present. Low-level plutonium had only the -Pu lattice. A possible origin of this phenomenon is discussed.  相似文献

We examine the applicability of the standard McMillan inversion of Eliashberg's equations for superconductors with a nonconstant electronic density of statesN(). We do this usign simple models forN() and a realistically shapedN() taken from recent band structure work for Nb3Sn. It turns out that peak structure inN() near F may lead to gross errors in the derived Eliashberg function 2F() when the energy dependence ofN() is omitted in the inversion procedure. For Nb3Sn, this leads to a 40% overestimate of when 2F() is evaluated via the standard McMillan program.  相似文献

A structural study of nylon 13,13 has been carried out by means of X-rays and electron microscopy. Both X-ray and electron diffraction data, obtained from oriented films as well as from lamellar crystals prepared in solution, evidenced that nylon 13,13 adopts a structure in a monoclinic lattice of parameters a o=0.488 nm, b o=0.473 nm, c o=3.40 nm, ==90°, =121°. As expected from the constitution of the nylon, no trace of structure with chains in fully extended conformation (-form) was observed throughout this study.  相似文献

The thermal expansion coefficient () and isothermal compressibility ( T ) of TlIn1 – x Nd x Se2(0 x 0.08) crystals were measured between 77 and 400 K. In the range 77–160 K, both and T increase with temperature, the increase in being much steeper. At higher temperatures, and T change very little. The observed composition dependences of and T are interpreted in terms of energy-band structure.  相似文献

Conversion-electron Mössbauer spectra of epitaxial -Fe16N2 and -Fe8N films have been studied and their differences are discussed in detail. The Mössbauer spectrum of -Fe16N2 can be decomposed into three subspectra, which correspond to the 4d, 8h and 4c sites. The Mössbauer spectrum of -Fe8N can be fitted using four spectra based on a nitrogen-atom-random-distribution model. The average hyperfine field is larger (3%) for -Fe16N2 than for -Fe8N, which is approximately consistent with a 4.1% enhancement of the magnetic moments for -Fe16N2. The iron moments tend to locate in the film plane for -Fe16N2 and to arrange perpendicularly to the film plane for -Fe8N.  相似文献

The thermal stability of two-phase ( + ) lamellar microstructure in Ti-Al-Mo PST (polysynthetically twinned that has single colony) crystals, containing C or Si, was investigated. In addition, the variation of -phase volume fraction in Ti-Al-Mo-(C,Si) systems was investigated at several temperatures. Ti-46Al-1.5Mo-0.2C and Ti-46Al-1.5Mo-1.0Si alloys did not recrystallized (stable in this paper) during heat treatments at various heating rates and temperatures. Moreover, the -phase volume fractions of Ti-46Al-1.5Mo-0.2C and Ti-46Al-1.5Mo-1.0Si alloys which were stable compositions, changed less than those of Ti-47Al and Ti-46Al-1.5Mo alloys which were unstable compositions. The instability of the latter alloys was caused by their relatively higher variation of -phase volume fraction during heating. Therefore, it is suggested that the variation of -phase volume fraction is an important factor in controlling the thermal stability of lamellar microstructure.  相似文献
